Default Saturday

Hello all, I guess a lot of you are looking forward to a long weekend. We don't have any plans for anything special.We may go to the movies.
I start going to art class on Sat again today.I liked Mondays better but teacher is taking summer off. It will be with a new lady. I am going to a 3 hour workshop next friday. Should be interesting.It is for beginners and up. I've never gone to one so it should be interesting.
I am still on South Beach and am doing well.Slow but sure.No big losses but steady small ones. Also I have been feeling much better.Am able to breathe better and that makes a big difference.So I am exercising in pool everyday. It all helps.
Our chapter has gotten very small in last few weeks. But thats ok too. We have had some good meetings. It always slows down in summer.
Well I have to get ready.I still move slow and slower.And I am not a morning person on top of it so it takes me longer to get ready.Just wanted to say hello.

Hello Everyone,
Remember me? I hate not having time to get here and check the board. Only two more weeks of my crazy schedule and then I will get back to being a regular.

I don't know if I told you all that my back was giving me problems a week ago. It was really painful. I'm finally getting better. I have been having regular adjustments and I have exercises to do for it, to help keep the spaces in the spine opened up.

My x-ray showed that I have a disk that has thinned (it's the L5) and I have a bone spur on it. That's why all the pain when I was out of align (sp?)

I'm doing ok in the weight department. Haven't lost, but haven't gained.

I'm going to try to get a lot done this weekend, but also relax. I'm going to try to catch up on my emails, read some magazines and I want to get some flowers planted.

I miss you all and I think about you a lot. If there's something that someone thinks I should know or you want to share with me, would you please PM me? I wish I could go back and catch up on the posts, but right now time doesn't allow...however a quick PM would keep me up to date.

Ladies, it's the start of summer! I know that I dreamed of being thinner but I'm not going to let that get me down. I'm going to take advantage of how I want to eat less in the summer (I guess due to the fact that there's so much more to do?)and that I get out and move more. Let's let it work for us and at the end it could add up to a few more pounds off.

Hi... Good to hear your feeling better.... I am too.. just keep looking ahead... I am spending a very quiet weekend .. doing some planting outside as weather permits.... I am making new goals for June too.... I really wanted to lose 20 lb before my birthday but I think I best be r ealistic and try for 5 Take care and have a great memorial day weekend.. India/Barb

Sorry I don't make it in more often, but time is always running short. For a couple of days my phone was out so no internet hook up and we've been fishing everyday and boy does that take up the time. I weighed in last Thursday night with a loss of 1 1/4 pounds. One more week with a loss and I will get a charm for 10 weeks in a row. I can tell you I see danger signs in my food plan, I'm wanting to eat more and more when I shouldn't. I sure need to nick that in the bud before it gets out of control.

Eleni.....This week end is just like any other now that he is retired except more people on the lake churning up the water. Glad your able to do some exercise, I'll be glad when I can if I ever can.

Susie....It sounds like you have the same back problems that I have. My back kills me just about all the time I'm on my feet. I have two disk that has thinned out, one is almost gone. I know that losing a 100 pounds would sure take some pressure off my back.

India/Barb....A 5 pound loss is much better than a 5 pound gain, that's the way we gained it, one pound at a time.

COCO....Your doing great with your exercise, WOW 2 miles in 40 min. I couldn't walk 2 city blocks in 40 min. People who have never had a weight problem has no idea what so ever how hard it is to lose weight and they are the one's who most of the time has something to say about the subject. Doesn't it seem like to you that when you get on a good diet and everything is going well more things comes up to tempt you with food? I hope you make it without eating too much.

Hello everyone else, sorry but hubby is needing me to help him with something. Hang in there with the diets.

Talking Hello Fellow TOPPERS

Hi. I'm stuck at work, but at least it's my Friday. I make the best of it by wearing my pedometer, comfortable walking shoes, grabbing a portable radio and pacing what I call my "Caged Turtle Circles" through out my shift. I can get over two and a half miles (sometimes more) just in my eight hours at work. If I could stray further away from the radio room, I'd probably get more. But the tight circles drive me nuts after while.

I've got no plans as of yet for the holiday week end. Unless, of course... hint hint hint... someone invites me somewhere hint hint. Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?
I have Sunday, Monday off (normal days off), but I may ALSO have Tuesday AND Wednesday off. It's being reviewed for approval RIGHT NOW. Of course the weather is supposed to be sucky. But sucky weather not working is better than a sunny afternoon stuck at work, right?

I hope you all enjoy your holiday week end. Try your best to make healthy, intelligent choices. Remember the choice is YOURS! Peace.
