Thanksgiving Eve: Counting my blessings

  • Hello Everyone,
I've been so busy at work today. I have a lot to get done and I'm cleaning things up and out so that when I give my notice if they don't want me to stay for 2 weeks I have what I want to go with me. I've been in this field a long time and I don't want to loose those contacts, so I've been gathering phone and address info.

I went to my 3 month checkup today ( I have my thyroid checked every 3 months) The last time I was there I weighed 247, today was 239! I hope that when I weigh in at Tops next week that will be a true weight--or maybe lower.

I can't believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving for all of us Americans! (I think we have a few Canadian's here?) and for all of us Christmas is just a few weeks away!

I try to count my blessings every day. But thinking about what tomorrow is; well I have a lot on my mind.

I'm thankful for my family and friends and that we are all in good health. Yes, we all struggle with aliments, but we haven't been given a limited time to live, so we are truly in good health.

I'm thankful for my job...any job! Enough said!

I'm thankful that I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This has brought me through storms so many times.

I'm thankful for this board and all of you gals that I have come to know and love. I really feel that you are my friends.

Sherri: Thank you so much for all you say to me in your posts. You are truly a heartwarming person. I'm glad that you were able to come up with things for your children for Christmas time. They have already received the best present they could every get: YOU! A mother who loves them so much!

Penny: Thank you for keeping this board going.

Everyone else that I didn't mention by name: Thank you for being here and for sharing.

    Tops Hug!

Susie, Thank you so much for reminding us to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. That is really the important thing, regardless of the date. We all have our ails, but can look around and see those who have worse. We can think about what we don't have that we would like...then look around and see others who have less.

I am thankful for all I have and what I don't have really isn't important! I have the love of my husband, my daughter, her husband and my grandchildren. I have the love of other family and many friends ( you gals). And I have the love of my Lord! What more could I want!

I need to say goodnight to all, tomorrow will be a busy one for all of us. Just remember to be safe if you are traveling. It will probably be Friday or Sat. before I am back on.

    Have a wonderful Holiday weekend!
    Wanda
