Question

Hi Everyone! I have a question! Or a website where I can find the answer.

How many calories per day do I need to consume to lose weight?

I know people tell you to add a zero to your weight and that is ruffly the answer, but that must be to maintain b/c that is alot of calories.

I know this is not a black and white question, because it depends on my activity level and such but I need a ruff idea.

Do I sick in between 1200-1500?? Is that ideal????

My height is 5'3" and my weight is 177 and my age is 20 if you need that info

Thanks for the help

1200 to 1500 sounds like a healthy number to me.You have already lost quite a bit.It looks like whatever you are doing seems to be working.

First of all I want to know how you figured out this poll thing. I tried to post one before and it didn't work.

I say that if it isn't broke don't fix it. What you are doing is working when you do it. So stick to that. Not all plans work for everyone and you need to find what works for you. And with what you have lost so far it sounds like you are doing it right.

1500 cal a day is good for you also.

All I really know is that you must consume few calories than what you burn......and to lose a pound a week you need to consume 3500 fewer calories that you normally do to maintain. 3500 calories equals one pound.

Go to a search engine and enter in calorie calculator. it will bring up all kinds of screens for you.

Love the polls!

Hi, I haven't been on in awhile. I was sick, then with the boys and the weather in between winter and spring I was having a hard time finding pece time for me.

I think that between 1200-1500/ day is good for you.
I weight 226 and I am eating between 1200-1400 per day. I think that peopple think that you will loose more if you eat less and I have found that you dont loose at all. To find out how many calories to maintain
Desired weight X 15 caloies=Total daily calories needed for optimal weight.

Hope you are doiing well.

Default poll

I'm kinda using the old ww plan, with the exchange, added with information from the TOPS plan. I'm going, now that I'm measuring, with the 1200 plan.
and using the exchanges aloud with that plan.
