Colorfull Sunday

  • Good morning ladies,
    Susie-you should feel very poud of yourself. You are doing great. Goals are great. I just can't seem to keep them for more than a day or two. I think it's wonderful that you got into a size xL. When the clothes sizes go down, then we can really see the benefits of our making it through our stuggles. Sorry didn't say anything yesterday. Hard day to focus. And today won't be much better. But I thought since Garret was up, I would get here.

    Wanda -good to have you back. Sounds like the retreat was awesome. Didn't you make it to goal? Or you were really close. Can't remember.

    Me-I got a color on my hair last night. I like it. More blonde highlights, and some darker red. Looks cool. Hubby had something to do yesterday afternoon and evening, so the boys and i went to a friends house. Her sister was there and she did the hair, and we had chinese food. Been wanting it. These girls don't eat much at all. They are thin. We had tons of chinese left over. I came home and had some popcorn, and now the scale is up. I didn't leave there till 12:30, and garret wanted more food at 1. I gave him some with cereal in it, but that didn't do nothing for him. I put him in the bed with me for a bit. Might of gotten 4 hours of sleep off and on. I finally got up at 6, cuz i knew he was hungry. He is still up, swinging in his chair, so I thought i would touch base with everyone here. I almost called hubby at 3 in the morning, and told him garret was up. Lately I've got some real issues. Hubby says i never smile anymore, and i seem to be angry all the time. Well I don't want to go there, cuz i will start crying.
    Monday I probably won't make it on here, cuz i have tops, and a "meet the teacher meeting". Tuesday we are going to look at the house hubby already knows he dont want cuz it's too far away from town. Back tracking going on. It was/is ok for me to do the back tracking in the morning, but not for him in the evening. Issues.
    Well I'm off to do some checking on a coffee pot. I just cleaned mine a week ago, and the light came on again today. If you don't get the pot under the brewer just right, it overflows with grounds, cuz it can't go into the pot. I'm battling this one too many times in a week, and when you are almost ready to go out the door and the pot didn't work right, makes for a bad start in the morning.

    Susie-I really need to work on the water thing. The weekends are the worst time, and the work week. I don't keep focused on the water. This is my goal for today. Me and water.

    I have been trying to keep awake, sooooo sleepy, so I thought I'd check out the boards. If I nap now, I'll not sleep tonight!!!
    Yes, I am a KOPS, 1 year last June. But ladies, just because you reach your goal, doesn't mean that you can just let go...you still have to watch what you eat. But the feeling you get makes it all worth while. And I know that all of you will get that feeling, just hang in there. I was a backslider...I was a KOPS and lost my status. I really had to work to get it back, because I had really been bad.
    I really wish you could have been at that retreat. If you would just get out you the Choise is Yours book and read the 28 day Guide (page 135) it will help you a lot. There were 65 members at retreat and the average loss for 4 days was 3.11#. No one gained! If you don't like the menu for a day, just look at the exchange list starting on page167 and substitute one food for another in the same catagory. It takes some planning, but it is worth it. You really don't have to deprive yourself of anything, just watch portion sizes.
    Sorry, I got carried away. But I care for each of you and know that this way of eating really works!
    I have tried several other things and each time I come back to this, and it works.
    I just had company come in...need to go. But I will be back. Hope you all are having a good day!

  • Hi Mickey, yes that is a good plan. i was on it to for awhile and loss. i have been on atkins now since july and have not gained and 4 lbs to goal. so i am so excited. have been in tops for 39 years and never a KOPS so finally it is here. took me long enough so maybe i will keep it off for long time. that is plans anyhows. i have my plan for life. just trying hard and i love the losing. good for you . you will get back with it and all. we all get away from it. but the way i look at it now is i move forward and forget the before. helps me.. have a good week and hope to see you often here.
