Are people starting the long week end early. It is so quiet. We are in the process of getting ready for my mom to come back and stay with us for a few weeks and she needs, walkers and bed rails etc. but she is quite pleased that she will be able to be here for easter dinner. I am doing a turkey and the kids are bringing salad, vegs and dessert. and taking the leftovers home so I won't be tempted to eat them up. How is everyone else going to cope with the easter dinner business?

I will be working Easter .I don't usually do much.My sister usually cooks lamb as her husband is Greek.But this year she is going to her daughters as soon as my son's wedding is over so there goes my yearly lamb.
I was expecting a turtle tonight but got a one pound gain instead.So I am having ice cream to make me feel better.Sound familar.
Plus I almost gave the weight recorders book back and almost walked out of our meeting.Long story.But I am really getting fed up.

I did great this week. I came in with a 1 1/4 lb loss this week. I was very happy with that. We had our open house tonight and no one showed up not one person. I was bummed but I didn't let it get me down. Gay the lady from the fitness firm that came to do the program was excellent. It was the first time since I have been going to the meetings that people stayed late. They loved her. I really think they learned something tonight. She said she would come back and I told her that we might have her back. I am going to go get a test done that shows you how much body fat I have. But it tells you more then that. You get a 5 page printout and she can tell you how much you need to exercise for your body and how many calories and fat and protein and carbs you should be eating for you. It basis it on each individual person. It is $25.00 but I think it will be worth it to see where I am at. I had it done many years ago. It would be interesting to see if she still has it on file. But others took an interest in the test also and they are going to get it done to. So having her there tonight made the meeting turn out great which I was happy about. But I have to say that I am with eleni I had ice cream tonight also. I did great all week then without realizing it went over my points. For lunch I had a turkey club and asked the waitress to not give me chips or fries and all I had was the sandwich and water. I thought it was 8 pts for the sandwich. When I got home I looked it up and found out it was 16 pts for the sandwich not 8 so I had used just about all my pts up for breakfast and lunch. I was really bummed. Here I thought I was doing good today and I blew it. But I still had a loss. And I treated myself to ice cream that I wanted and tomorrow I am back on track again. I can't have candy this week it is the unwise food choice of the week. Which is great seeing that easter is this weekend. For easter I am cooking and I am having a boiled dinner with ham and cabbage and potatoes so I will have a low pts day. I don't have any junk in the house. I want to make a cake for easter but I won't because I will eat too much of it. That is why I am not making sugar cookies with my daughter because the last 2 times I ate all the cookies by myself until they were gone. I want to meet my goal this time so I am trying harder and if not making that stuff helps then that is what I am going to do.

Penny have fun down the river this weekend. I will be thinking of you. I hope that you are planning for you with healthy choices in mind. You are the only one that can make those choices. You can do this. You can have lots of fun and still eat healthy while down the river. You just have to get determined enough. You can do it.

I am glad that your mom is going to stay with you for a little bit. I know you had said that you wanted her to and you didn't think she would come. I hope you all enjoy your easter. Sounds like you will have a full house. I am picking up my grandmother from the nursing home for the day and we will go to church then come home and spend the day here until after dinner.

Sorry you have to work. That sucks. I wouldn't want to work on a holiday. I am lucky in that aspect because I make my own hours. We must think alike because we both had ice cream tonight. Don't worry about the 1 lb gain it could have been water. You will lose it next week no problem. Just get on track and you will be fine. I know you can do this. You have come this far and you haven't given up so I know you will make your goal.
