TOPS Recipes

  • Hi Everyone!

    I joined TOPS two months ago and I love it! But.....I like to use recipes and am having a hard time converting the recipes. (Ex: how many, breads, fats, etc.) Does anyone have any conversion tips, or websites with recipes that provide this information? Thanks a bunch!
  • Have you tried the tops site. www.tops.org . They have a message board that people post recipes on, and a lot of light cookbooks now give the exchanges. I checked the TOPS manual "The Choice is Yours". 1 exchange of starch/bread is 15 grams, 1 oz. lean meat is 1 exchange, veggies is usually 1/2 cup =1 exchange, 1 exchange of fruit is 60 calories. (Vegetables and fruit should be checked out, some vary in size)

  • Just use JoAnna M. Lund "Healthy Exchanges" recipes and you'll never have to think about it again! I use her cookbooks exclusively, especially her slow cooker books. You can find them at any bookstore or library and at her website http://www.healthyexchanges.com Have fun!
