It is a very sunny beautiful day here in Florida.
I have been busy all day and still have more to do.But I have been absent here so much I figured I better show my face.
TOPS,work and the house have kept me busy. My chapter is up to 35 and 2 more will be joining so we will be 37 and growing. People are spreading the word around that we are a good chapter. Makes me feel good. We had our workshop last week. I did the meeting for secretaries. That was short and sweet.The leader in me came out and I ended uo answering a lot of TOPS questions. But it was a good wrokshop.
We found out our area cocordinator Carolyn Beaufort is resigning as of August 1st. Nita Is she yours too.I hated to hear that. She has done a great job. She stepped into a big mess and did wonderful.She is always helping me out. I am one of her pain in the a----. But she has always been patient with me. I do hate to see her go but I understand. She wants to spend more time with her family.
Our SRD is coming up soon. I am looking forward to it. Keeping track of everyone is no fun.Right Nita?? But I do enjoy the SRD's. If you have never been to one you should try to go.
My newest grandson is doing great. Everything I pick him up he zonks out. Likes my soft body.
Bill and I are doing a lot in house. I bought two cool lamps yesterday. One has five different colored shades and each light is bendable. It's more for looks .I never got to be a hippie so I am regressing.But I did get one that has a light at the top for a three way light and then down aways it has an arm with a bendable light for me to use to see to read.
My art classes are going. I thing she has me doing stuff I am not ready to do but I try. Can't quite get those short and longs for grass like she does.
I am going to try to find time to play around with the pen Angel got me. And I think I will like the pen once I get better.
Well I think I am caught up here. I have to stand out in lobby at work for part of the day so that kinda messed up my time for personal stuff I was doing.
Ok I have to go. All you momma's to be take care of yourselves.

Hi Eleni,

I came in from my workshop and started posting, but it took me a long time to write it up, with a couple of stops and then I saw you had posted as I was writing and I had to laugh We go for days without posting and then post at the same time.
Carolyn announced today that she was retiring and that Donna would be the new coordinator. Donna is a very sweet person. She is always there to talk about anything we need to talk about. I'm glad that she was chosen as the next coordinator.
Yes, I do enjoy SRD, but my treasurer handles everything pertaining to SRD. She books the motel, sends in the paperwork, and makes reservations at a restaurant for dinner on Sat. eve. She loves doing it. I'll be looking for you there. Do you know where you will be staying?

Nita We must have been on same wave. What is Donna's full name.I didn't realize she was your area captain. I am staying at the host hotel.Someone told me it is hard to get to road leading across bridge. I wish the host hotel was closer. At least next year it will be closer.
My back is killing me too. Time to just go chill.

Hello everyone! Nita and Eleni, sounds like you are getting ready for the Florida SRD!!! Ours is next week end. We will leave here on Wed. the 24th. There are four of us who always go a day early and go shopping or something.

And Eleni, sounds like you must be doing everything right...getting all those new members! A good leader makes all the difference in the world. I know you stay busy. What are you doing to your house? I am in the process of getting some painting done and new carpet. Then I will get new furniture for the LR. And right now everything is turned upside down!!! I will have (actually my husband will have) company while I am gone to SRD. It can't be helped!!!

My area hasn't had the workshops yet. We will do that after SRD. We have all 'new' officers (never held an office before) but I think they will do well.

It has been a beautiful day here . I should have been busy at home, but instead, I goofed off! Our chapter went down to a little red school house and had pictures made to take for the dress alike parade at SRD. We didn't make costumes this year. (The building trades class at our high school built a little red school house, complete with the bell) It is so neat!!! Our theme this year is Back to School With TOPS.

Penny, how are you? Hope things are going well!
