Default Saturday

Good morning, It is suppose to be another rainey day. This is the raniest summer in many years. But we can always use rain. But many people are being flooded.
So far no problems with new heart meds. Non of bad side effects. Also arthritis med seems to be helping.
I have added a pedometer to my short walks at work. I figure if I only get 10 minutes extra walking in that is still better than the nothing I was doing.
My grand daughter spent the night but she got up with sore throat etc. I am committed to keeping her and I normally do not keep them if they are sick. Manly because I don't want to get sick. I have enough problems. At least I don't have to wait on her. She is no trouble and is so good for me. Of course she pushes her mothers buttons good and pushes her to the limits
But I seem to be getting better. The scale was down this morning and that is always a good thing.
Had two juvenile cardinals on feeders today. That was cool.
Need to go. Just wanted to say hello

Default Sunny Saturday

Good Afternoon Ladies
Not alot happening here. Having a nice day. The sun is shining. Kinda warm. But the humidity is gone. YEAH!!. Went and got Son yesterday. Take him back tomorrow. Should be his last week. But am washing clothes and hung them out. So will take them down when I get off here. We went to a Frontier Festival today. Suppose to have it set up like the old days. Wasnt too bad. Several people. The group from church sang. They were having different groups in to sing. They are also having it tomorrow. But wont get to go. But got to go today.

Tomorrow is our sunday school picnic. But I wont be going. Am taking my son back to school. But they are having a hat decorating contest. I am going to decorate a hat and leave. At least by not going to the picnic I wont be tempted by the food. I didnt do to well yesterday. Today hasnt been the greatest either. I am wanting to eat salty things. Am trying to stay away from them.

CHRISTIE AND SHERRI How are you doing. Are you staying OP. Am having a little trouble right now. TOM is next week. And I always get the pickies really bad a few days before. So am trying to keep busy. The traveling is helping. That way I am not in the house. Like yesterday. I took a cheese sandwich and a peanut butter sandwich. And a single serve pack of ritz and cheese crackers. But then I ate a pepperoni roll. So I blew it. Then today I have been into the barbque corn chips. Am going to have to hide those. I guess I need to get the gum out. Am thinking of both you ladies. You can do this. I know you can.

FLGAL Where are you. Are you doing ok. I miss you. Hope everything is ok. Been thinking of you. Hope to see you back on here soon.

ELENI hope the new meds help. I know my hubby has a hard time taking meds. Usually he ends up with some kind of side effect. Hope you get to feeling better. Am thinking of you.

MOMPEN, MICKEY, SUMMER, Everyone else. I hope you are doing ok. Am thinking of you. Hope you have a great weekend.
Well need to get off here. Got eggs on boiling to make macaroni salad. Need to check on them. Take care. Will check in later.
A TOPS PAL

Hi Ladies ~

Eleni~ How are you doing? I am glad you are getting to spend time with your granddaughter even though she is sick. I know that is hard I always wanted to track and see how much I actually walked on a daily basis. I think I would walk more if I was tracking it. I know I eat better when I record it.

Coco~ Just stay focused and keep in mind what is important to you. I know it is hard to resist a craving but it will pay off in the long run and you will be a happier person for sticking with it. I know it is easier said than done.

Me, I have decided to make Fridays my off day as long as I can get back on track on Saturdays. So far so good and my scale was down a couple pounds this morning. Thank goodness.

Take care and have a great day everyone~ Penny

Eleni,

I hope you don't get sick yourself. I am glad you are enjoying your granddaughter. I know what you mean about pushing the buttons. I know megan can push mine really well but she is so different with everyone else. I think that is normal. What is that you said payback is what?????LOL You got through it with all your kids and your daughter will to. Now you can sit back and laugh at your daughter trying to deal with hers. That will be interesting to see exactly how far you are walking. It might keep you motivated. Then you can eventually set a goal for how far you want to walk in a day. They say all the little extra steps help and is just as beneficial as if you walked all at once.

Penny,

Be careful with the cheat day girl. You did that before and you couldn't get back on track afterwards. It might be better to just have what you want in moderation and get it out of your system when you want it. You will end up using a lot less calories then stuffing yourself on your cheat day. I know when I had a cheat day I stuffed myself full of everything. Then by the end of they I was sickly full. It is not a good feeling and is not a good thing to get used to.
I am proud of you for getting right back on track today though. That was great and for the scale to be down today is even better. You are on the right path now keep going girl you will make it.

Coco,

You have to get determined girl. You are the only one that can do this. But you are only hurting yourself. You have so many dreams and goals it is a waste to not push yourself to expect more of you. It is easy to just give in. It takes work and effort to say no and stick to your plan whatever it may be. You are worth it and you deserve to have what you want out of this life. So lets get motivated girl and stop making excuses and just DO IT.
I know you can do it because you have done it before. Like penny said you will feel so much better when you make it through the cravings. If you have to stop buying junk. If it isn't in the house then you can't eat it. When you go out somewhere don't bring extra money with you then you won't be tempted to stop and buy some food to munch on. That is what I have to do sometimes. We all have those munchy days and yes it is hard to get through them.
But remember the only difference between us (me and you) and the ones that have made it to goal is that the ones that succeeded worked at it and gave it their all. I know a lot of times I don't put my all into it either and that is why I am still not at goal but yet farther away. Make a committment to yourself and go for it. Remember you are loved here and we all care about you and want what you want for yourself.

Christie,

Great job on getting busy and beating the hunger feeling today. I was so happy to hear you made it through. But next time call me girl and I can give you the encourgement you were looking for. I don't always check my mail all the time. But I check the machine.LOL I was here all day and I could have helped you. But in the end you did it on your own and you should be feeling great about that. Keep up the great work and good job of planning your dinner for you and your guest tonight. You did a great job.

I am going to the fair tomorrow. I am nervous about it. I would rather not go then to have to smell that food all day. Just smelling it makes me want to eat.LOL If I walk around with a nose plug on my nose all day I would do better.LOL But things like this happen and we have to deal with them and not make excuses for them just to eat like a pig. I am going to try and have self control. I have a plan so we will see what happens.

I will let you know how it goes. Talk to you monday.

Hi Everyone,
I'm still around Coco, just haven't had much to say lately. I wasn't happy with my weight gain, yesterday, but my scale is back down today. So that is good. I'm glad to hear that you are doing okay from your surgery. I know how scary it can be to find something in the mamogram.

Eleni..I have been wearing a pedometer with a step counter and have walked over 3 and a half miles today, and over 8100 steps so far today. It is interesting to know how many steps you take in a day.

DH and I are watching the Bee Gees on TV tonight. We watched them on TRIO and after that they came on the local PBS with a different show, which I had seen before, but enjoyed so much that I am watching it again. And they are back now, so I will go.
