Default Saturday

Good morning Ladies. Seems as we are stuggling a bit. I've been on a eating binge off and on for 3 days. Hopefully back on track today. I hate this time of month.
Beth- I think the job you do is awesome. I also feel that it takes people that have been given special gifts to work with people that have special needs. I had a sister that was physically handdicapped and mentalily impared if that's what you want to call it. I look at it as someone with special needs. Physcially challenged. Dlyn didn't like the word "handdicapped". She felt she could do what everyone else did, just took more time. I miss her much. I remember her always singing "Jesus Loves Me". Ok, I'll change the note here.
Scale is up, and I'm pmsing. I was also sick last night. Went to bed at 8:30 and slepted till 7 this morning. Tummy, is weesy, and back is hurting. NOthing planned this weekend, but to get stuff done. So i hope everyone is doing well, or better, and the weight is coming off.
Another thing, I noticed that most of you already had your officer installation, we aren't having ours till the 7th, and we don't do much, any tips i can use for next year, and wouldn't it be better to do it the last week of March instead of the first week in April. Also, I noticed that our leader is the one that does it, do you all have someone else do it. And another thing, do you give charms for the officers, and if you do, do you give them the year they do it, or the year after they do it?
Our chapter is a little behind in things, and is trying to get back on the right track. One of the past leaders, didn't relay information well to the ladies. Also do you all officers meetings once a month. I want to this year, I'm game for all the information I can get ladies.
Thanks

Good Morning Everyone,

It's a beautiful Saturday morning. I just finished my 2 mile walk. An interesting thing happened as we were walking. A young man in the 10 grade was walking and he was so frightened of the squirrels, he said they were chasing him, so he walked with my friend and I for 'protection'.lol. We have walked there for years and never had a squirrel chase us, but it was very interesting to chat with the young man.

Wendy, our paper work calls for us to install officers at the last meeting in March so that they can be ready to take over the first of April. We have a program chairperson that does the installation for us and yes, we do give charms to the past officers. You should have a charm for every year that you held office. Also, in our chapter, they give the past leader a "thank you" present and the leader gives the other officers and members who have helped her during the year a "thank you" gift. And it usually isn't much, just enough to show them that you appreciate their help. Having an officers meeting every month is a good idea, but we don't always do it. It's hard to get everyone together and sometimes we just don't have enough to discuss to have a meeting, but we do it often. We always have one in April and go over the by-laws because we have to submit them to the coordinator in May.

Congratulations to all of you that had losses last month. I was reading thru the March weigh ins and most of you have done really well. Several stayed in the black all month. Good job, ladies!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

It is a little cool here today. Needed a sweatshirt outside. I did a little work in my flowerbeds. Need to do A LOT. No time right now...after SRD!

I have been out of touch for a while. Hope everyone is doing okay...good losses...or getting back on track.

I have been busy plus was sick for a week (seemed like a month!). But am back to normal (some would wonder about my normal! ) and am okay. Missed you all.

We had our installation of officers last Thursday. We also have an Award Banquet. Our Area Captain installed our officers, but usually it is just some one in our chapter that does it. We give charms to the incoming officers and a small gift to the outgoing. We give our outgoing leader a gift. We try to make it special. This year we did a rededication ceremony. We have our meetings in a church parish hall and that is where we usually have it. We also give certificates to people who have been especially helpful. They are inexpensive to make on the computer and seem to be appreciated. That is one of the two times a year we have food. We have a pot luck and try to use low fat/calorie recipes. We also have a special Christmas Party where we bring low fat/calorie food. Since we just hosted our area recognitiion day, we used the decorations that we had for that.

Need to get busy...have a good day.

Wendy,

You can do this and so can't I. I hope you are feeling better today. You will have a loss this week. Just be very careful over the weekend. Even if you turtle it is better then a gain right.

Flgal,

Sounds like you started the day out right with your walk. That must have been funny to see that boy afraid of the squirrels. I never seen them attack or chase people either.LOL
Keep up the great work with the walking. How is the eating doing?
Sounds like your chapter and everyone elses has been busy with all the installations. Good luck to everyone that took office this year. You can make a difference. It all takes team work.

Mickey,

Glad you are back to "normal". I have been sick as well. My whole family has been sick. MY daughter was sick all week then gave it to us at the end of the week. I have been opening up all the windows in the house a few days this week to try and air out all the virus germs.

As for me I am doing great. I feel like I am truly ready for a new start. The time will be changing soon. I love the daylight savings time that we will be entering into. I hate this time now. It has been a lot warmer here also in the high 50's and sometimes it hits 60. Today it is raining off and on but it is warm out there 56 degrees. I have to enjoy it because it is supposed to snow tomorrow. Just when all of our snow is about gone. It seems good to see the grass and to see some of it starting to turn green.
I went out and bought myself some new jeans today. I am sick of not having anything decent to wear. I am a size 18 now and I am not going to wear my size 20's anymore. The 18's will fit loose to when I lose the weight. It felt good to buy new clothes today. We got our income tax money yesterday. I got a bunch of shirts at the second hand store and a pair of jeans. But the other jeans are new.
I decided today that I am going to lose this weight and now that I feel more like myself I am ready to do this. I am sick of making excuses for myself and falling off track. It is already just about april and I have not accomplished anything this year as far as my weight goes. I want to change that and the only one to do it is me. I have a plan and I am going to stick with it and get this done.

Have a great weekend all I will talk to you soon.

Sherri

Default HI

Hi Ladies
Remember me. Boy have I missed you ladies. The computer "the BEAST" messed up on me. Got a virus. And I couldnt get rid of it. So our neighbor came and got the beast. Just got it back last night. Thought he would never get it fixed. So hopefully it will be alright now.
I will have to go through and read all the postings. Didnt take time to yet. Hope everyone has been doing great. Having great losses.
Well ladies. My eating is the pits. I just cant seem to get myself back on track. I gained 6 lbs this month. So hopefully I can get back on track and have a loss in April. I have gained back all that I have lost in TOPS but 20 lbs. And that really bums me out. I know that it is my own fault. I am the one putting the food in my mouth. I have started walking. I am walking 1 1/2 miles a day. I know that isnt much. But there for awhile I wasnt doing anything. The tendon in the heel is better. But the nerve in my backside is acting up again. I have to either stand or lay down. Cant sit very long. So hopefully I can get more walking in.
Well ladies I will get off here for now. But I just wanted to let you know why I hadnt been on here. I probably wont get to get on here tomorrow. But that is because we are going to visit some friends that live a couple of hours away. And we are going to spend the day. They are having dinner for us. So it will be late when we get home. Boy ladies have I missed you. Cant wait to read and see what I have missed. You ladies are the greatest. Take care.
A TOPS PAL

Hi everyone, well i am sick again this week. i went to the dr and I have a UT infection. They had to run other tests also because they found blood ( and it isn;t that time of the month). It is so bad that I really can;t eat anything without getting sick. I had some slimfast bars in the house so that is about all I can eat. I am hoping that I feel better soon.

well I hope everyone is having a better weekend than I am
