Lazy Sunday
Good morning, How is your weekend going so far.I have made a big discovery this morning. I woke up and my body felt like I had been run over by a truck. So I have decided that I am allergic to housework. So I told Bill that cleaning house was not good for my health. He gave me one of those looks that says "Yeah ! Right ! " So I tried but it didn't work.I guess I will have to do it anyway. But just in short spurts. If I am slow enough he will take over.
Time for us to go to store. Later |
Good Morning Everyone,
Lucky you, Eleni, to have a hubby who will help with the housework. My hubby is the one that is allergic to housework here. He doesn't seem to see any clutter or dirt......unless it's on the tv screen. LOL. Well...I made it to workshop, yesterday. 80 miles one way. The workshop was good for the most part. I let the co-leader sit in on the leaders session and I went into the programs session, which was a waste of time for me. The girl that was teaching on programs was into crafts and told all about how she made things for everyone for all the holidays and used holidays as the themes for programs. So many of our ladies are seniors and do not want any more things to sit around and dust. I was hoping for some good ideas for new programs or that we would have time to share some good programs with each other. Next year, I think that I will submit a couple of programs that went over well at our chapter. Perhaps that would help someone else. Welcome Kathy, Bev and Beth. It's good to have some new people posting and I know that you will do well in TOPS. It is a great organization and the people here are great. Don't forget to post on our monthly weigh-in also. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great weekend, but try to stay on plan. Nita |
Good morning everyone. I haven't been responding a lot in the last week, but at work i change jobs sometimes, and don't always have access to a computer, and last week was busy for me.
Eleni- I'm glad they found out that your thyroid wasn't working properly, maybe with the increase in meds it will help. I wished I was allergic to house work, i have a tendency just to be lazy, or working on other stuff. Nita- I know what you mean about the hubby being allergic to it, mine is sometimes. He does help, when he wants to. Guess i can't complain, cuz i clean when i have to. :D CC-it is so good to have you here. You can get that little bit of weight right off, in no time. Sherri- how are you doing? I read your journal, didn't respond yet. Hang in there, it will work out. Focus on you, and dd, and remember prayers. Kathy, Bev and Beth, glad you all stopped in, and are posting. Can't remember which one is working 2nd's, but that has gotta be a hard one. Specially with the little ones around. I've worked all 3 shifts one time or another in my life, and i would say that being single, and working 2nd's was fun. But being married and having the little guy, i don't think i would want any other shift but days, and sometimes, that one is hard. To the one that's hubby left them. Not sure again which of you newbies it is. Nothing like that in life is ever easy, and having children adds to the stress. Thinking on your needs comes last, but remember the weight thing, getting that undercontrol will give you new life. Hang in there, do something for yourself, and remember he is the one losing out. You are awesome. Christie-heard you are a totally stay at home mom. Congrats. I hope it all works out for you. I would love that, to an extent. Not sure if the house work would get done any faster, or if I would spend more time on this. I do have my dreams though. Someday, I will have a different job. me- week filled. Took brandon to neurology appointment, not sure if i mentioned this to you all, but the Phenobarb isn't working well enough. We watched him for 3 months. When we went last Wed 1 week plus ago, to have blood drawn he had one. We are in the process of changing his medicine. This is fun. One week than blood drawn again. New medicine is pill form, trying to teach him to swallow. He is still on the phenobarb till we see the leave of the new medicine, and then we will slowly take away the phenobarb. Being on both medicine at the same time could make him unfunctional. Hasn't yet. Thank God. Although at night, with both of those meds, and the allergy medicine, he is out about 1 hour after. Fighting it though as usual. We had our first slumberparty Friday night for our Tops ladies. It was fun. I went in early on Friday so i was up almost 24 hours by the time i went to bed Friday. We went walking, and shopping, something about women and malls (that's where we walked). Red Lobster for dinner, swimming, hot tub, games, popcorn, swimming at 11:00 at night, more games, made balloon animals (that was interesting), bed, breakfast, games, swimming, lunch was chinese buffett. Not all women went, not all women did all the things the same time, but it was awesome. Only 3 of us went to lunch the next day, we didn't want to leave the pool. My scale is up today, and I weigh in tomorrow, I have got to get more exercise in today. So not sure how much work will be done if any. I'm getting an attitude. I hope everyone has a great day. Hand in Hand together we can. |
Hello All!
I have been busy today! I cleaned the whole house while dh is upstairs painting our new addition. So he is working to but could not help me with the regular stuff. I even cleaned the fridge and scrubbed the floor by hand! So needless to say I am having Dairy Queen tonight because I think I worked off enough calories! Ladied you make sure those men help youwith the housework! Mine always has and I wouldn't have it any other way! It is so nice here today to! I think we are going to the park later. My ds is outside playing and my dd is sleeping right now. So I can actually be alone for awhile. Shortstack it was me that works second. It is hard sometimes but I watch the kids during the day and my dh watches them at night. I have had bad expierences with daycare. Not to mention the cost involved is ridiculous. My ds is supposed to go to kindergarten this year though and I don't know what I will do. I don't want to not ever see him. Its all day here. His b-day is very close to the cut off and if he had not already had two years of preschool I could hold him back. He also gets speech therapy and physical therapy at school. He has some delays due to water on his brain when he was a baby. He should catch up fine but needed to go to school very early. So that is my predicament. I am looking for another job. Not real actively because I really like my job, and the company is great. My dh actually works there also. My dd is the other problem. She is so spoiled I don't think that she would do well in daycare all day either. She has never had to go. I hope your ds is better soon. Flgal thinks for the pm about my loss. I have done well so far. It always keeping it up that I struggle with. I look back and I really ate a lot of food to. Late at night eating also and stuff that was not good. So I think if I am really concious of what I am doing I will do fine. Your conference sounded like an okay time. Well I have to run. I still have to dust. I am determined to get it done today because I always put it off until last and it doesn't get done. I have to put away a million loads of laundry tommorrow. I get it washed but it always stays in the basement! Beth |
Hello!
It has been a busy but nice week end here. The weather is wonderful...will soon be HOT...wish it would stay like it has been the past few days. But this is where I live, so I shouldn't gripe. Coco...hope you are having a good week! Elini, want to come do my house? I have to do that tomorrow!!! I have let it go this week, so really will have to do a lot. I like to do a little each day so it isn't so much. But I remember when I worked I had to do it on week ends. But I didn't put things off as much as I do now. Shortstack! sounds like a great time. Sounds like a wonderful idea. Need to get off, just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone. Hope you are are having a good week. :grouphug: Wanda |
