question about TOPS in the summer

  • I am thinking about joining TOPS but I do have a question. i have two small kids in school and Iwas wondering in the summer do you have to stay for meetings or just go and weigh in. I have no one to keep the kids so I would not be able to stay.
  • As long as you keep all your dues paid up you can go and weigh in and leave. It kinda defeats the purpose of TOPS as you miss out on meetings. Hopefully someone will send you support at home.Good luck to you
  • Hey bev, I should have responded to your question here. But look under the Monday post. I left you some info.

  • In regards to children at meetings, it is written in the Official TOPS rules that children [unless they are members and they can join at 7yrs old] may not attend meetings. Some smaller chapters don't mind...but don't be offended if they tell you 'no'. The rules are there for a reason and children can be disruptive. In regards to just weighing in, there is not a problem with them being with you when you can't stay for the meeting. Enjoy TOPS, it's a great support and I do agree with Eleni. If all you can do is the weigh-in, that is OK......any support and accountability is better than nothing.
