Default New Year!! New Beginnings!!

Hi Ladies
I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year. I see no one started a thread so I thought I would. I guess everyone is recuperating from the big parties last night. I hope everyone had a great time. We stayed home. Hubby is under the weather. Hadnt made plans to go out anyway. We planned on staying home and watching movies and having pop corn. We did watch a movie. A Rock Hudson and Doris Day one. It is called Lover Come Back. Hubby got it from my sister for Christmas. Didnt have the popcorn. Hubby didnt feel like that. We were suppose to go to his sister's today for dinner. But he doesnt feel like going. So we are going to stay home.

Well did everyone make a resolution for the New Year? I did. I just hope I can keep it. Right now I am all gun ho. So hopefully I can keep it up. I want to lose 3 lbs a month. And I want to learn how to do Counted Cross Stitch. I thought I would set my goal low. That way it should be easy to do. I would love to reach my goal weight this year.

I went the other day and put me a treadmill on layaway. It is a manual one. NO MOTOR!!. We have a treadmill now. But it is on a incline and I cant do it. It makes my knee swell and hurt and then the next couple of days I cant hardly bend it. The one on layaway has a adjustable incline. So cant wait until I get it.

SHERRI Hope you had a great new years. You are doing great. Keep up all the exercise.

WENDY You can win the contest at work. Just think of all the new outfit you can buy with the money. You go girl.

I am thinking of all you ladies. Hoping that you are doing ok. And I know we can have alot of KOPS on this board for the new year. Everyone take care. Sorry I wrote a book.
A TOPS PAL

Default Hand in Hand...WE CAN

Hello!
Well, Coco, as you said this is time for a new beginning. If you did well last year, be proud. If you didn't, don't beat up on yourself, now is the time to start anew! Ladies we CAN do this!

I had a horrible day, food wise yesterday. But over all I had a great day. And today, I started out again. I need your support and I am here to give you mine.

Let's all make a commitment, that this is our year. Set small goals, when yoou reach that goal, reward youself, but not with food! THEN set a new small goal!

Sorry, didn't mean to get on a soap box.

I have been posting my menu, that seems to help me. Find something that helps you and stick with it. Everyone, have a wonderful day!!!

I went to bed at 8pm last night so that shows what a party animal I am not
I am also looking forward to a new year. I just want to lose this year. Just lose!!!
I have already started another project. I am trying to teach myself to do sketches. Bill ordered me a book on sketching faces. I have another one I am working on now. Not bad so far.
I also have to get back to practicing my piano. Lessons will start back up in Feb and I have been real lazy.
I have been working on our yearly resume. Those of you that also do them know what a headache they can be. I just have to go over everything one more time.
Gotta go. This will be our year.

Default A LITTLE POEM

Hi Ladies
Sorry to post again. But I found this as I was cleaning out my TOPS bag. We got it about 2years ago. I thought it was kinda cute. I hope you like it too.

MY APPETITE IS MY SHEPHERD (Pound 23)

My appetite is my shepherd: I always want.
It maketh me sit down and stuff myself.
It leadth me to my refrigerator repeatedly.
It leadth me in the path of Burger King for a Whopper.
It destroyeth my shape.
Yea, though I knoweth I gaineth, I will not stop eating
For the food tasteth so good.
The ice cream and the cookies, they comfort me.
When the table is spread before me, it exciteth me
For I knoweth that I sooneth shall dig in.
As I filleth my plate continuously,
My clothes runneth smaller.
Surely bulges and pudgies shall follow me all the days of my life
And I shall be "pleasingly plump" forever.
