I'm here. Had a busy weekend. Went to a 50th anniversary celebration and it was very nice. Choose meat, cheese, fruit and mixed nuts to eat. Left the bread and rolls........but in exchange did have a small piece of cake. There were no veggies, so couldn't do better in that dept. All in all, did pretty well.
Have a lot to do today. Must get the floors scrubbed and work on some fun things for TOPS wed. We have a raffle in chapter every 3 months where members bring in white elephant items in new condition. Normally we sell tickets and winners are drawn out. THis time the leader and I are setting up a fun game type thing. Bean bag sacks were made to be tossed into a hole that represents 4 oz of meat. I drew a hand on a large cardboard and cut out the palm ...... whoever gets the most in will win the gift there. I'm also drawing a large face that will hang on the wall and members will take pieces of fruit drawn on paper and try to get them closest to the mouth while blindfolded........like pin the tail on the donkey. We're also doing bowling with plastic bottles, some sort of race track game and ????. Wish we had some plastic horse shoes and other games, but it should be fun. Not quite sure how we will do this, but I'm thinking members will still purchase their tickets and they will pay with them to play the games. If they want more than one chance, then they will have to buy more tickets. Will see how it turns out. Hope it goes OK, but we never know until we try.
