Tuesday
Well good morning all.
It is snowing a lot here in michigan, Brandon wasn't feeling to good last night, so I took a vacation day, and stayed home and slepted til 7:30. I have a lot to get done as usual, but not worried about it.
CC- How could anyone ask for more. You know he had to mean it from the bottom of his heart. That is awesome. Hey you were making spag. sauce. Any sugar in it. I just bought 3 jars, with tons of sugar in it. They were on sale. Didn't think sugar content till I got home.
I'm really trying on this sugar thing. And I'm hoping it will work.
Eleni/sherri We had our meeting last night and i suggested the one free weigh-in pass, The comment I got was they didn't think that headquarters would like it. Something in the bylaws (which we just happen to be going over last night) "Any member attending a meeting must weigh-in. The part where you guys put it down in the books as a turtle, could mess up the books at the end of the year. (this was our coleader. Our leader wasn't there. Also, what really gets me is we can go by some of the bylaws and leave them out if we want, but we can't do this.
I thought it was a great insentive. Anyway. Hope everyone has a great day, and I'll check back later.
tops hugs and everything: This is a note I got from my leader about the free pass thing. So I guess our club won't be doing it. From the desk of Penny Redner, TOPS Coordinator #556
Hi Peg:
Free Pass NO! TOPS rules state that all members attending meeting must weigh in. All weights are to be recorded to the official weight charts and they must be exact, accurate weights. And really what good does this do? Members need to feel supported whether they've had a good week or absolutely terrible week. It's times when we do bad that we need that support even more. If your fellow members know by hearing your weight gain during roll call that you're having a tough time--they are even more apt to contact that person during the week and cheer them on. I could see this backfiring big time. A member uses it because they've had a terrible week--they continue to have a terrible week or weeks and when they come back the gain they've had and must state during roll call is even worse than what they would've had to state the week they used the pass.
If this were allowed, did anyone think about how they'd handle weight loss awards--contests--incentives--etc.???
From the desk of Penny Redner, TOPS Coordinator #556. I didn't mention any names or anything so you guys keep it up. I thought it was great. what was 1 time gonna hurt?
