:hb: Happy Birthday, Jules! :woo:
Hey all. Hope you all are doing well. Had fun @ our friends house, we played Totally 80's version of Trivial Pursuit. It was lots of fun. Jane -- I wish I were like that. I love to pack, but hate to put things away. But I did really well when we moved to the apt. we live in now, guess I just wanted it over with. :p Hi Mary Kate -- I ususally don't watch many Food Network shows period, except for the occasional Alton Brown. We just happened to be watching that show that night as NOTHING else was on. I cannot stand Rachel Ray, she drives me up the wall! I know Loads of people adore her, but I just can't stand her. Paula Deen is sweet, but as you said she adds butter, mayo and sour cream to everything, bless her heart. lol. We used to watch her, but we don't anymore. She is a sweetie though! ;) Michelle-- I just have my DH and my in-laws left and we think we figured out what to get my mil at least. Not so sure on FIL yet though. Well I guess that "covers" everybody. Did anybody here see that Peter Boyle Died? (Everybody Loves Raymond, Raymond & Robert's Dad) Here is the link if you're interested: Peter Boyle Dies Have a Great rest of the Weekend! ;) |
All is going okay in Las Vegas. Tonight we are getting rain, which is unusual. Seems we bring the cold weather with us wherever we go..it is warmer in Indiana right now. Geeze!
We haven't done anything exciting....just got the house cleaned and ready for a four month stay. Of course we have done some gambling...nothing major. haha.. To answer another question. The new house is our main home in Indiana. Here in LV we have a manufactured home in a senior park. We had planned on a condo when we first came here, but after looking and finding them too much like apartments we bought this. Nice to be away from the hustle bustle of the city but still close enough to have fun. Just wish it were warmer right now. Eek! My darn computer here is acting up...so I never know if I am going to be able to post or not. Happy Sunday chickies. |
Hey Sue!
Hey Sue!!!
Nice to "see" ya! Aw sorry about the rain and colder weather! It probably will warm up soon I would say! lol. Tomorrow here (in Ohio) its going to be 68 degrees! Can't beleive its almost Christmas Time!! :tree: That sounds nice, your home in LV. I think DH and I will do something like that whenever we decide to retire. But instead of LV it's going to be Tennessee, as that is where most of his family is and we love it there! ;) Well I hope you have a good time! |

Hello!
Hi all,
I'm Tiffany (or just Tiffie), a 23 year old woman who's engaged to a 25 year old computer geek :p . I have a lot of free time and a lot of weight to lose. Hoping and praying for a size 8 or under by the time my wedding comes up. Right now, I'm 222lbs and a tight 18 or comfortable 20. Ouch! :( I'm on 1400 calories a day, and I do the Power90 workouts. And in a little under two weeks, I've seen some results: Lost an inch in my tummy, another in my hips, 3/4 inch on one thigh and 1/2 inch on the other. Gained one half inch on one bicep and 1/4 on the other arm. So far so good, even if I haven't lost a bunch of weight! My clothes are a little bit looser and I feel amazingly good. I know I'm in need of a lot of support and encouragement, so I might post a couple of times a day if it's an especially good or bad one. Hope that's alright. :^: Well, it's late and I have a horrible headache... Fell two days ago and banged my head on the cement, and the pain just isn't going away. Got a bottle of Dorvaset and another of Ibuprofen, and nothing seems to get rid of this pain. :?: So, goodnight everyone! |
Hello & :welcome3:, loveandlaughalways & Tiffie!
loveandlaughalways: Of course your welcome to join us, as is everybody! :D Tiffie: I'm married to a computer geek myself, so I hear ya there! Good Job on the losing the inches and feeling better! This is a wonderful, wonderful supporting, kind, and FUN group of Ladies! Enjoy! |

That sounds like a concussion to me. Even if you didn't lose consciousness, it could still be a mild concussion. Nothing to worry about as long as your headaches are all that bother you. If you start feeling sick, dizzy, weak, or your eyes feel/look weird, you should see a doctor, STAT! Otherwise, sleep, water, healthy eating, more sleep, and maybe taking it easy on the exercise for a few days is the best thing for it. Did I mention sleep? lol :p Your head should start feeling better little by little. It has to heal. Just treat it like the flu. I know when I get the flu all I want to do is sleep. :D Just my two cents, though. I'm not a doctor or anything, but I come from a family of rough and tumble brothers, so I've seen my share of concussions. It's not a big deal, you just have to watch out for any signs of brain damage (dizzy, weak, throwing up, mismatched pupils), take it easy for a little bit, and try not to hit your head again! ;) |
Thanks for the advice, guys. I actually went to the ER the day it happened because my fiance and his mom ganged up. I guess I can't blame them; I was horribly dizzy and had ringing in my ears. They sent me home with the dorvaset, and I'm supposed to see a Dr. in a week if it isn't better for X-Rays. Stupid, stupid people, overwatering their lawn so...
Well, yesterday I got my mom to work out with me, and it was good. She's awfully out of shape from what I remember of her working out before. But she made it through 2/3 of the workout with me, and we're doing it again next week. Luckily, my head/neck isn't AS sore today. I slept for almost 5 hours straight before waking up to it, lol. Guess it's time for a dorvaset. |
Welcome Love&Laugh, Tiffie & Martini.
Thanks everyone for the Birthday greetings, turning 41 was not as bad as 40 last year!! We went out to eat on Friday at the Mexican restaurant. It was fun--they did make me wear the sombrero and took pictures on their camera phones. Well, I did some housework and ate breakfast. I am going to do another load of clothes and head to the gym and some other errands. |
Hi Jules!
Glad you had a good Bday. I had that happen to me twice @ mexican restaurants. lol. The last time the sombrero was very heavy and it weighed my head down! lol. DH wouldn't let me take it off of course. :p Enjoy your laundry. I need to do some too, tomorrow. Right now I am off to get some much needed Zzzzzzzzz's. :tired: |
Jules - please forgive me for missing your birthday! I truly don't know how that happened, but surely you know I wish you only the best! HAHA, I'd love to see the photos of you in the sombrero!
To everyone else, especially the new Jaded Ladies, hope you're having a good day! Neal and I are out the door in just a few minutes, but I wanted to pop in and say hi. Have a good one! |
Almost forgot! Robin and Mindee - thank you so much for the beautiful cards!! I hope to see both of you posting again real soon.
