Sunday
Hi all:
thanks for all of the support--you guys are so sweet. I am hanging in there. It was a big deal getting all that housework done earlier this week. Tired today but doing well on my plan--hope to have a good weigh-in tomorrow--I had a few days last week where I was eating a few too many pumpkin seeds. Great for you but anything is fattening if you eat a handful every time you pass the kitchen:devil: !! I know I was retaining water yesterday so I maxed out on water and Red zinger tea. Will do the same today so I dont blow up before my weigh in. Exercise is still holding steady--will go swimming tomorrow! Markie--good job--you must not have binged too much if you are still 3lbs down--hang in there--I know reading recipes for pecan pie almost did me in last night! I had to make a salad and eat it right away to keep from pillaging the fridge. I havent heard of IM food to people--I will see if i have that function on my phone so that you can make sure my pies are good enough! Dolly--nice to have that shift of mindset to using exercise as a stress reliever. EAting still works for me but only short term. hang in there with those thanks g dinners--it is almost over! Sunday: Walk 30 min, 25 minutes stretching and calisthenics Monday: Walk 30 minutes, 15 minutes stretching Tuesday: Walk 30 minutes, 25 minutes stretching and calisthenics Wednesday: Walk 30 minutes, 2 hours housework, stretch 15 Thurs: Walk 30 minutes stretch 15, 15 minutes calisthenics Fri: Walk 30 minutes, stretch 15. Sat: Walk 30 minutes, stretch 15, calisthenics 15. |
Good evening Ladies.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I've done pretty good all weekend which doesn't happen often. Unlike my hockey team, Markie, I've stayed in the game and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrows weigh in. I even made choc. chip oatmeal cookies for my awesome kids (they all helped me for 4 hours this morning in the gardens) and I didn't even have the tiniest bit of cookie doe(one of my little weaknesses). Hope you all had a great weekend and good luck to everyone weighing in the morning. Nite nite, Nina |
Sunday part 2
I had to report that today I wore three different pairs of pants--sweats, a dress pair and a pair around the house--and they were all loose!:carrot: I am stoked--isnt it funny how the weight loss seems to show up all at once? I think it is walking for a week too, I am firming up.
Congrats Nina on avoiding cookie dough--eating while you cook is such a pernicious habit--great job! Sunday, Nov 12: Walk 30 min, 25 minutes stretching and calisthenics Monday: Walk 30 minutes, 15 minutes stretching Tuesday: Walk 30 minutes, 25 minutes stretching and calisthenics Wednesday: Walk 30 minutes, 2 hours housework, stretch 15 Thurs: Walk 30 minutes stretch 15, 15 minutes calisthenics Fri: Walk 30 minutes, stretch 15. Sat: Walk 30 minutes, stretch 15, calisthenics 15. Sunday Nov 19: Walk 30 minutes, 15 minutes stretch. |
I was a good girl all weekend. I didn't get in much walking but I did really well eating. I didn't even realize until 12:30 today that I hadn't eaten yet. I wasn't even hungry. So I only had two meals today. I am now going to make a pot of tea to avoid a second helping of supper, roast, roasted veggies and gravy (OH the horror, the kids made me make it.)
Markie - congratulations on the 3 lbs. Major victory there. The extra splurge at supper yesterday obviously didn't make a difference. Snow - Congrats on the loose clothes, feels good doesn't it. I'm very glad you weren't cooking for my Thanksgiving. 40 - Great job staying on track, I don't bake anything I like to eat. You are amazing for resisting a favorite. dolly - nice job on meal #1. Good luck on meal #2. |
Monday .... Official Weigh-In!
:sunny: Good morning, ladies :sunny:
So, today's the day, and this is my summary for last week(Monday through Sunday): ..... Exercised four days (four 2-mile walks.) ..... Lost four pounds. I had two off-days with my eating :( , and had meant to exercise at least one more day, but I'm happy that I made as much progress as I did. I wish all of you who are weighing in today much good luck! :grouphug: Here's to Thanksgiving week  ... let's all just do the best we can, and I'm betting we can do pretty well! :) |
Ok only down a half pound this morning BUT it is soon ttom and I lost so much last week that I am not surprised. The good news is that puts me just down into the 160's!!
 |
Hi Gals!!
This weekend was okay for me I seem to have increased my calorie intake, but the good news is I am maintaining at about 1700 calories. Bad news, I am maintaining at 1700 calories :) I am lowering my calories back to 1200 for this week. (exception Thanksgiving Day) I know I can live on it, especially if I drink plenty of water. I also bought some green tea I am going to add that to my meal plan maybe one cup or two per day. |
Monday 6 weeks to go!
Wow--we are getting near the end of the year--six weeks to go-still--a LOT of weight could be lost by then:carrot: --or gained:( .
It is all up to us--and we can do it--I am sure of it! Three more days to Thanksgiving and I plan to stay low carb for the next three (I usually calorie count m-thurs and then low carb Fri-mon) to lose as much as possible before the big day. :dust: Exercise is going great and I plan to measure myself today to see how I am doing since the clothes are starting to be a little baggy. Down one pound today--wish it was more but I guess this is the legacy of pumpkin seeds. Have a great day everyone and congrats on all the weight lost so far--and keeping on plan even when you plateau! please correct or add to this as necessary! Dolly: 30 by 2007. 22 down, 8 to go! Stacy: 32 by 2007. 21 down, 11 to go! Markie: 10 by 2007. 4 down, 6 to go! Jeni: 12 by 2007 Brenda: 15 by 2007 Nina: 16 by 2007 Sno: 25 by 2007, 12 down 13 to go! Sojourner: 18 by 2007, 12.5 down, 5.5 to go! Already did my exercise! Sunday, Nov 12-18--every day 30 minutes walk! Sunday Nov 19: Walk 30 minutes, 15 minutes stretch. Monday: Walk 30 minutes, 15 minutes stretch, 15 minutes calisthenics. |
Hey there ladies,
Markie 4 pounds is amazing:cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: If you can do it then I know my New Years goal of 16 lbs is not unrealistic. I'm right on track with a 2.8lb lose for my first week and If I can keep it up until christmas I should be close to my goal. Don't you love it when you can break into a knew set of numbers Sojourner. Any loss is a good loss:cheer2: . I've taken a little half day break from being diligent and ate a couple of those cookies this morning and maybe a few other things I've been avoiding but came out of it before I started a full blown binge. I'll get to the gym tonight and finally be able to do some light cardio, so hopefully I'll wear off some of those extra calories, and I'll eat light for the rest of the day. Something about commiting goals to writing seems to motivate me to accomplish them. It's great to have all your support. Thanks alot everyone for helping me make it through the first week:hug: Have an awesome day and I'll check in later. Cheers Nina |
Today was my weigh-in day and I haven't weighed-in for 16 days b/c of my trip to D.C. and all. I am so glad to say that I am down 4lbs!!!!!!!!! I am so excited because I sorta had a bad day yesterday...(german chocolate cake and a cookie bar). I am so happy, it made my workout this morning that much more worth it.
I just want to say thanks for all the support. Made it through Thanksgiving Dinner #2 yesterday and it was not all that bad. They came, they left and nothing too bad. I just went with the flow and tried to keep myself busy and all the guests happy. What was upsetting though was I felt like I was hosting dinner party for someone else and not my Dad. Didn't really get to talk to him that much and visit. I did my best and get used to it b/c that is the way it is going to be. Now only 2 days of work and off to the in-laws. They are so laid back I get along with them great, so it will be a relaxing break. Nina: Great at stopping yourself, before you ate too much. That's how I was yesterday evening. There were left over cookie bars and I wanted some and not even thinking I picked up two b/c my eyes are bigger than my stomach. I put one back and was satified with one. Sno: Congrats on the 1lb. lose and the lose fitting pants! That is a great feeling...that is to actually have to wear a belt to keep your pants up! jcatron: If you are drinking unsweet green tea, you can drink as much as you want. I know I have about 4 glasses of tea a day, I add lemon for a kick sometimes. Sojourner: Way to go on the .5lbs. Down is better than up! markieposter: Whoa! That's great 4lbs in a week! card: It's is amazing that when food doesn't rule your life, you forget about it sometimes. Dolly: 30 by 2007. 26 down, 4 to go! |
Sojourner, congrats on your 1/2 lb. off, Snow... on your pound down, Dolly on your 4# ... GREAT, Nina ... almost 3#!!! :balloons: for you all! The only important thing is that our scales are heading South and not the other way, not exactly how many pounds, of course.
Jeni, you will probably have a good drop next week! I can go two weeks, lose nothing, then lose 3# in a couple of days when I'm really sticking to the program. As you know, our bodies don't show the numbers on the schedule we want them to! I've been out shopping today, trying to get a little of Christmas under control. So far, I've had 500 calories today ... and trying to decide what I REALLY want for dinner. I hope I can drop another two pounds this coming week, but with the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm sweating it!!! You girls have a great Monday! |
Hello all, well i had a good Friday, good saturday, and good sunday til dinner, which was a planned splurge. We had a little thanksgiving thing at my house before we go out of town to have the thursday feast. But i went down hill from there. I did fine for bkf this morning, but then they ordered BBQ at work for lunch. I planned on eating half of the large sandwiches they brought...well, i sat there and picked until there was nothing left. :( I ate half the fries, so while that is not great, at least i didnt eat them all. I ate one bite of a donut and then threw the rest away. Very disgusted with myself right now though. And the light at the end of the tunnel is far, far away. I cant get back to my routine til Saturday really, since i will be out of town.
I do plan on making the best of tomorrow, going to the gym, eating light, and water, water, water. I am really hoping the only bump in the road this week will be the one dinner thursday night. Sounds like everyone else is going really well. :carrot: Dolly- Down 4 pounds. :bravo: WOW, that is crazy good. Only 4 pounds to New Years goal. You are a wonderful inspiration. 40- Great job on the 2.8, :cp: that is awesome. Sno- That is great you are down one more pound. I know all about that one pound lag though, it just doesnt feel like much progress, but step by step, one pound a week will get us where we need to be, at least we are making progress. Let me know how your measurements go, those can be very encouraging. Loose clothing, what a wonderful feeling....the best. Jeni- I know all about maintaining at the 1700 cal range ;) ...i am going to join you in a few 1200 cal days before thanksgiving gets here and that is good advice about doubling up on the water and green tea too. I will take you up on that one too. Sojo- Down ANYTHING on TOM week is always cause for celebration. :cheer: Good for you. Markie- 4 pounds is crazy good, :woohoo: especially if you were off a couple of days. Geeze louise, that is wonderful. Card- Glad you had a good "on plan" weekend, as far as eating. :cheer2: Weekends are SO tough. It is amazing how much strength and inspiration i get from ALL of you. I starting this message and i was so down and feeling defeated. After reading the progress everyone has made, and the plans of staying on course that you all have, it just reminds me....I CAN DO THIS...I JUST HAVE TO STICK WITH IT. Thanks to you all. :thanks: |
Back to 212, wanna cry. I swear it is going to take a stick of dynomite to get me to lose weight. All I ever do is bounce around 3 pounds. I was good with the eating yesterday so here is my new goal. I will walk my monster dog, (I mean let him drag me around 3 days a week) for at least 1 hour, no matter how cold it is outside and how much else I have to do, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will use my sons weights for at least 1/2 hour Mondays and Wednesdays. I will do this because I am sick to death of weighing over 200 pounds and I have gotten so close to 199 so many times over the last year only to put it back on. And I want you all to kick me if I do not do this.
Anyway, the rest of you sound like you are doing great!!!!! congratulations on all those lost pounds and I wish all of you the best of luck in the upcoming week. Dolly - way to go girl. You can only control your half of the relationship, but if you really do want to get on better terms with your dad make the effort and see if he responds. It might be worth it and if not, at least you tried and that's all anyone can do. |
Morning ladies,
Me and my little ones are sitting watching one of my many baby einstien videos. If only they'd make a weight lose video to send positive subliminal vibes to my subconsious I'd of made my goal years ago. Card and Stacy I feel your frustration. Over the summer I got down to 167 but by the end of september I was back up to 180. This has been my roller coaster ride for the last 7 years. I never gave up on loosing weigh but didn't seem to have the will to continue a weight loss program for more than three days. I blamed it on everything and I have to admitt there are many obstacles and temptations when your cooking for more than yourself. I have explained to my family what I'm trying to do and they're much more understanding. You can do it guys!!!! :tread: Small goals are easier to stick to. Sounds like you've set some for this week so good luck sticking to it. Awesome Dollypie:bravo: you must be feeling the light at the end of the tunnel!!! I'm feelin pretty determined today. No ha1f day breaks. Got to the gym last night and did 20 minutes on a eliptical:woohoo:and 45mins on the weights. Woke up with a cold this morning so I'll take it easy today. Have a great day and :dust: to all. Nina |
Happy Tuesday ...
Good morning to you, ladies ... :sunny:
Hope you are all doing well, and ready to have another good day before Thanksgiving on Thursday. I ended up with 1850 calories yesterday, and need to get it down a bit lower than that, as a rule. I'd love to be 1400 cals. everyday but that is so tough! :( (I like to eat TOO MUCH!) Card, Stacy ... to you both. I know you can do this; it takes almost super-human determination this time of year so just hang on. Take it one day at a time, and just think "I'll get through this day, and tomorrow I'll worry about tomorrow." That's what I'm trying to do ... Everyday that you manage to be more moderate, your body gets a little more used to your *lighter way of living and thinking.* If ALL OF US can hang on to that thought .... :) I know that I can really tell when I'm living more healthily because I don't have the heartburn, indigestion, bloating that I have when I'm eating with abandon .... and my body likes me better then! It's a chilly day here, a bit over 40, so I will have to walk briskly to stay warm, and that will be good! A friend is coming for dinner tonight so I am trying a new recipe, a *light* spaghetti pie out of *Cooking Light.* Love pasta and HAVE to have it, even on my diet. Okay, everybody, let's all make it a grand day! :cheer: |
