My scale isn't down at all. However, It is TOM.
I've decided to do official weigh ins once a month and use Dr. appointments as much as I can. I managed a whole week of healthier eating, but I'm still struggling to keep my blood sugar a bit closer to level. I do great during the week drinking water, but somehow over the weekend I only get about a quart compared the 1/2 gallon or more during the week. This weeks goals for me are to continue to limit and find sources of processed sugar and drink more water on the weekend. And Everyone is welcome to a bit of my will Power dust!! |
Happy Memorial Day everyone.
Potato-I'm glad I'm inspiring you to drink water. I've had a crappy water drinking day today, but hey I can't drink so much every day lol. Hope you had fun on the boat today. Donna-Way to go on 2.2 lbs! Keep it up! emzi_bops-Hope you kick the hangover quickly and you're able to at least munch on somewhat healthy foods. cybersis-I find myself busy on the weekends, so I just have to make a little more time to prepare something healthy. It's not an easy adjustment though. Kitty-No loss is alright...especially when it's TOM. Shoot I was excited when I didn't gain anything for my TOM. Everyone have a fabulous night! |
Ok so the hangovers gone and im back at my diet with no problem, i thought i would coz once i miss a day its so hard for me to get back into it. The only problem i have now is im sick. ive had a cold for just over 2 weeks now and last week i thought it was getting back and then this morning all i wanna do if cough and be sick. which isnt good especially as i have a job interview at 6:30pm, i was very tempted to phone her and asked for it to be moved but it doesnt look good so i will just go. its not just a normal interview tho its a hairdressing one. so i have a models hair to do and it all goes down to performance and speed. we will see. right well ill check in a bit later let you all know how the interview went/whether i made it or not .lol.

sticking with it week 2
Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a great memorial day!
Thanks Hpnotq, we had a blast on the water yesterday!! :beach: You would have been proud of me. I only drank water. I'm actually beginning to crave it. Now, that is different for me. So how did you do on your total weight loss for the week? KKitty, enjoy TOM while you're young. I have an Aunt Flo and the older I get the more frequent and unexpected are her visits.:stress: But I did hear she will eventually stop coming around all together. Unfortunately, she sends other relatives like Captain Flash, I hear he's hot. :hot: cybersis, emzi_bops, you may have to take a lesson from LindaB763 and stick to diet drinks. :stars: :faint: Way to go ladynredd!!!:cheer: You have been doing so great! Hey Pinkwhispers05, What diet are you currently doing? Were you able to find the book I was talking about? :goodluck: 2CMEAGAIN I can't wait to hear what happened with your friend!! I know you looked awesome!!:belly: Most of us are now into a new week. I can't wait to hear everyones goal for the new week.:cheer: For me I think I just want to be able to stick to this diet without having a binge attack. :cbg: :jeno: :burger: I would like to see myself losing an average of 2 to 3 pounds a week until all the weight is gone. :goodscale Also, Jjeanne are we changing the post each week to read week 2, 3, etc? Here's to a great new week!:cp: Potato |

Hi to all!
It took me awhile to find you and man have ya'll been busy. Potato: Congrats on the 10 lbs lost!!!!!!!!!!! :carrot: Lauracarrot: I make a pitcher of sugar free koolaid every morning and drink it by the end of the day. I usually take some of it to work with me. I started out, not likeing to drink water. I am now more apt to drink water or koolaid and my diet coke consumption has dropped to just 1-2 a day from 6-8 a day. Emzi bops: Good luck on your interview!! Donna D: Congrats on your 2.2 lb loss. I'm a Donna too. Your an RN also, right? Good morning to everyone and hope you had a good memorial day weekend. I lost 1 lb last week, hope it's a little more this week. I weigh in on Thursday afternoon's I went out of town and was really pretty good on my diet and I got up each morning and walked for 1 hr. This morning I walked 4 1/2 mile and it took me 1 hr and 10 minutes. Everyone keep up the good work and look forward to getting to know everyone. |
Stick with it week 2
Yea exquisitern!:bravo: 4 1/2 miles!!! You are the queen!:queen:
This is what I love about our support group. Some have been on a diet alot longer than others. :carrot: Some of us have more to lose than others. :goodscale Some people have started an exercise program :woops: while others are just trying to find a diet program they can live with. :hungry: We are all at different levels of the diet of our choice. But each one of us really have the same goal and that's to look and feel the best that we can.:belly: I believe that the key to our support group being successful for each of us will be honesty and encouragements. What I mean is if we have a bad day of "cheating" :corn: or maybe we just want to quit:stress: because it doesn't seem like its working. :dunno: Then its important for a women to express how she feels even if its negative.:frypan: But allowing her to stay in that condition is where all of us come in. :grouphug: As a general rule in our group. We are allowed a Pity Party for 1 minute! :tantrum: That's it! :kickbutt: No more! Minutes up. :boxing: Then we pick ourselves up and continue on! :cheer: We have a awesome support group and I know that all of us are going to "Stick to it" and achieve our goals. :encore: ahhh group hug :grouphug: Potato |
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying really hard to catch up on the posts, but since I've been gone for 4 days its kinda hard. Well my weekend was great. Enjoyed some much needed time with my dh and dd. No weight loss to report today but I do have something rather exciting to share. On March 1st some of my coworkers and I started a weightloss challenge. Well it ended last Friday. Because I was off on Friday I didn't know who won. Well lo and behold this morning I found out that I won. I couldn't be more excited. I walked away with $400.00. Yippee:carrot: :carrot: I think I'll wait until I loss a few more pounds before I go on a shopping spree. Well I'm gonna go back and try and catch up a little more. Hope everyone is having a fantastic week. Talk to you all soon. |
Thanks Potato. I'm getting to where I am really into walking and doing an exercise video when I can't.
Angel: Wow!!! $400, that's great!!!! Congratulations!!! :carrot: :carrot: |
Wow
Wow!! $400!!! I wish my office would do something like that. We'd probably have more money as there are about 40 of us. How much money did everyone have to put in originally?
|
Initially there was 14 people that participated and we each put in $40. The way that it worked was that if you lost 5% of your weight then you would recieve back $20. I would say almost half the people got back their $20. The winner was determined by the biggest percentage of weight that you lost.
It definitly was a motivator for me. |
sticking with it week 2
Angel!!! $400?!!! How exciting!! Now that's the kind of prize I like to win!!:woo:
Good for you. I know that made up for every pound you felt you should've have lost but TOM got in the way! We are proud for you!!:cheer: Hey Hpnotq(Beth) I noticed you lost another pound! Way to go!:bravo: I believe in you!! Potato |
WTG Angel:woo: :cheer: :cp:
Congratulations. |
Sticking with it week 2
Well, midway into week 2 and I´m doing well. I´m on day 3 of South Beach Diet Phase 1. Last week was a total disaster dietwise, but I did start a new running program. I managed to run a little more than 15 miles last week. This week I´m going for 17. I haven´t lost any weight in the past week, but I´m not too worried because I tend to put on some muscle when I workout harder. I figure if I keep to my diet and running, I´ll start to see a difference on the scales next week. I would really like to lose a size by the end of June for my sil´s wedding. I want to look HOT!
:goodvibes (sending out good vibes to all of you strong ladies) Holly[/FONT] http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...dfc/weight.png By the way, my size 8´s are falling off today. I´m amazed (and a bit impressed with myself) because in December of last year my size 14´s were tight! |
Wow, Holly. That's great to go from a tight size 14 to a falling off size 8 in 6 months! Congratulations on the running too. I'm doing good to walk 4 1/2 miles at a time, but it's good for me. Good luck on your goal to lose a size!
|
so it's totally been more than a week since this thread started, but that's ok. ^.^ thanks for the warm fuzzies, angel33, potato and hpnotq! you guys are so encouraging!
i lost 3 pounds last week - twice my goal! - and have a new job that keeps me busy a few days a week in the theater. if i come home feeling gross and sweaty, i must have been doing something good, right? i have a question for you People Who Know Things About Diets.. what is a normal/healthy daily calorie intake? i've started tracking what i eat and some days i'm under 1000Cals. i thought i read somewhere on here that you're supposed to get an absolute minimum of 1200Cals per day, is that correct? it's not even like i'm on some official regimented plan, i'm just making sure i make good choices and staying away from mindless grazing.. am i on solid ground here? TiA! |
I guess it would be a good idea to start a new thread every Monday so we don't have so many pages to navigate. Whoever gets here first should feel free to start the post.
So the scale hasn't been moving for me despite an increase in my exercise habits and a half-assed attempt at eating right. (I was falling off the "eating wagon" a couple of days per week.) As such, I decided to start following WW. I am not going to the meetings because I honestly don't have the time with 2 small children. However, I had a point finder and a week 1 book so I think I am good to go. I stayed on plan today and I made a fantastic fish dinner for myself (DH and kids ate a rather fattening meal). I even have some leftover for lunch tomorrow. BainidheDub - as for your question regarding calories, I logged in every morsel I consumed today following WW and I was under 1300 calories. I used all my points (and I guess since I have so much to lose, I am at the higher end of calories). I also think I have come up with my own personal challenge. I would like to lose 20 lbs. by Labor Day. |
Good Morning Everyone.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic day so far. BainidheDub-Good Job on the 3lb loss and Congrats on the new job! Oh yah, the whole calorie dilemma. I have read so much stuff on how many calories you should eat, my head is ready to explode. I will tell you from my experience over the past 15 weeks I had to kinda play with numbers until I found an amount in which I had a loss. I found that if I ate to many then I maintained or gained(obviously) but also if I didn't eat enough I didn't loss either. It really is so different for everyone. There is a lot of really good information in the calorie counters forum if you interested. 3gwriter-Good Luck doing SB, awesome job on the running and we have no doubt that you'll look hot for your sil's wedding. jjeanne-Good Luck doing WW. I would love to join you on your Labor Day Challenge. I could handle losing another 20lbs by then. Talk to you all soon! |
Okay so I started a new thread. That's the first time I ever did one and was surpised how easy it was.
Anway, I put it as "sticking with it" and left the weeks off so we wouldn't have to change it each week. Check it out. I am home bound today and needs some buddies to laugh with. Potato |
I started a Labor Day challenge on the WW forum if anyone want to join. My goal is 20 pounds.

The point system is good too. We need more information on it. Does anyone know how it works and what the prize is? What do you think? Potato |
