Weight Loss and Chit Chat #189.
Hello and welcome to the Jaded Ladies. :welcome2:
We are a group of ladies who come in for support and encouragement on our weight loss struggles. And we also find time for some chitchatting! :gossip: So please, won't you join us?? |
Hello everyone....I'm so very tired tonight. I'm loving these hours, but I'm still adjusting. Wanted to check in before I head off to bed. I will do individuals tomorrow....
But before I go here is Angie's question! Quote:
G'Night ladies! |
Good Morning Ladies :coffee:
What are your plans for the weekend?? I don't have much. Today is to clean and mow the lawn. Tomorrow I'm picking up Jhanai and we're going out to lunch for Mothers Day. Thought I would come in here and catch up a bit before I do my cleaning. Robin--I like your idea's of how to spend the millions! Hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day! Michelle--The gas prices are outrageous!! I filled my tank up last night again and it was $49. It's been around $50 each time I fill up. Not liking that. So just me and my car I will be spending $200 a month for gas! Add James and it's double! Need to start carpooling! I hope you're feeling better this weekend. Stress is one of those health busters you know! Take Care of yourself and go do something you've been wanting to go do. Jules--Pets with allergies.....the poor things always sound so miserable. At least my aunts dog does. Fantastic on the inches lost!! If the scale doesn't budge...it's always nice to see a difference in the measurement. Because that means you're looking leaner. In fact, I would prefer the measuring tape over the darn scale anytime!:D Sue--Your husband is talented. My grandpa does wood work also. I have so much of his work in my house. I love it though. My cedar chest is my favorite. Your family is lucky to have someone who can make things by hand. And think it is more special when you receive something thats made by hand. Angie--I've read your blog. I think it's fantastic that you have one are keeping tabs on your thoughts and feelings on everything. I wanted to add a comment but I had to sign up for it. Do I have to be a member if I sign up just to leave a comment?? Now...to answer the questions #1: What would I do w/all that money? I have always told James that the first thing I would do is get a tummy tuck. We wouldn't be able to travel or anything for awhile because I would want to have that done before I vacationed around the world!:D Jhanai would be set for her future. I would also pay to have the cemetaries where my grandma and my brother are, routinely landscaped! The last time I went to my grandma's it was so over grown! And my brother is way up in the woods where they have an OLD cemetary. I didn't even know it existed. #2 If I could choose my career. That's so hard! I don't even know what I would do. I would like to do something that would have me travel the world. My uncles wife has a job that has her traveling around all over. Not exactly sure what she does, something like she creates seminars for big companies. Where she finds the place the seminar is going to take place, gets the caterering done and all that jazz. She used to do it for Microsoft and now she has her own business and does it for other big companies. Maybe I would like to be her sidekick!:D Her last purchase she made was a car that was made and then shipped from Germany! Too bad I'm not close to this Uncle and Aunt!! Ok...must get to work! Have a lovely day!! |
Hiya ladies!
We got back from Florida a little while ago, and I'm so happy to be home! I'm also exhausted! I'm not even going to try to catch up, but will wish you all.... Happy Mother's Day!! Chat with you tomorrow. |
 Hi Everyone ~~ I was going to close out my account here, because we were worried last night that I had picked up a virus here, because it listed the detection to happen during the time I was on this site. Have any of you had any problem here with anything like that? I've been getting the same pop up, only when I'm on this site, and every time I go and keep trying to click out, it keeps coming back up. My daughter, who also belongs to a forum with advertisements, has also been getting this too. Well last night, when our computer did a scan, it showed a trojan virus had been detected, but our Norton Antivirus, that we pay for, stopped it and it didn't affect us since then. So far today it has been okay, but I did subscribe for the one week for $1 ad free on my account, and I love it because the screen is bigger now and NO advertisements. After this week, I may start paying to have it stay to the add free. Today I've had a migraine and can hardly stay awake. I really don't know what's wrong with me anymore, but I need to wake up, because I'm the one cooking Mother's Day dinner tomorrow.:dizzy:
Marti ~~ These gas prices are out of this world!!!:( We are finding that we're staying home more than we used to, because it takes a tank of gas just for our normal weekly driving back and forth. I'm with you on the tummy tuck! Jane ~~ So glad you had a great trip and made it home safely! You go get some rest and we'll talk with you later. Hello to everyone else, and I'll be back a little later to check back in. |
Back for a spill!!:D
Jane--Welcome back!! Glad you and your family are home safe. Once you're well rested, back in and give us an update! We'd love to hear all about your trip. Michelle--I don't have the ads while I'm this site. We've had them blocked for some time now. We did have a virus scare a few weeks ago though. I wasn't even the one online when it was found. So not sure where it came from. James had it all fixed though and we haven't had any detection of it since. What's the update on your pedometer?? I finally got my back yard mowed. I was having a difficult time getting the mower started!! My right arm is sore from pulling on the dang thing! Let me tell you it was a work out just trying to start it. Neighbors must have been thinking what nut I am!:D But I finally got it started. Put on my headphones and went to work. Now this is the first time I listened to music while mowing....and it made the experience more enjoyable! I may even had my hips swaying to the music while I was out there. Alrighty ladies....I need to put laundry away so I better get. Hugs to all! |
Marti ~~ I took the pedometer back on Wednesday. I talked with a couple other ladies on another site who have the same one as I did, and they have had nothing but good results with theirs. They said maybe I just got a bad one, but I was too frustrated with it to deal with it anymore. I might just get a cheap one and try it out for awhile. I don't want any fancy thing, just one that counts my total steps for the day.;)
|
We had a boring morning...dreary weather that made you feel like going back to bed. I did laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Then we pretty much went over the house plans, discussed a few things about the building and our choices and vegged out. Got a visit from some family later in the afternoon, which was enjoyable.
Since we had our family dinner last Sun. while our sons were home we are just taking Mom out for lunch tomorrow. If this rain keeps up I think we will continue to be blah! Regrettably....feeling blah and sitting around feeling this way is NOT getting my exercise in. :( |
I'm sorry you're feeling blah Sue!:stress: Our weather was beautiful today, and tomorrow it's to be up to 80 degrees, and 87 on Monday. I wish I could send you some to cheer you up! Have a good relaxing evening.
|
Hiya ladies,
I missed you all! Angie - I wanna join in on the game, too, ok? Like Sue, I'm proud to know you. You are becoming such an inspiration, Ange! I am serious about weight loss like you, too. I'm so glad you have your family's support. I know I couldn't have done it w/o my family helping me. Maybe we could also start giving ourselves points for stuff, like a point a day if we drink our water, a point a day if we stay totally on program, and a point a day if we do our exercise. Just a thought. Marti - once in a while we'll see a blue jay, but not very often. Now that we have the bird feeder where it is, we might see them more. Hope your sweet doggie is ok! Good thing she did go to the vet. James sounds like Neal - I have to practically drag him to the doc. Katie - wow, you're doing great with the diet and exercise. About your son - I found that when we took away something the kids really, really liked as a punishment, they would do better. For Terry, it was Nintendo, for Mary, it was the phone. For Katie, it was the computer. It's great that you and the ex get along. The teacher and counselor can probably give you some good advice on Thursday. Be sure and let us know how it went, ok? Michelle - thank you so much for the kind words, hon. But I haven't kept all of the weight off. And I'm miserable about that! So now when so many JLs are serious about losing, and I'm not stressing about anything anymore, it's the perfect time for me to start again. Btw, I LOVE your new Minny avatar! I think mine and yours oughta get together. Teehee! Jules - oh sweetie, just keep up the good work and the weight WILL come off. Are you writing down every bite you take? Be careful of BLTs, ok? That's bites, licks, and tastes. Not getting too much salt? It's great that your DH is supportive. Mine is too, and like I was telling Angie, it means so much! Sue - I haven't looked at your pictures yet since I'm so far behind, but I will soon. So sorry about the BIL and all. Yes, funeral food (comfort food) can be so overwhelming! Glad that's over for you, hon. Although it wasn't me you asked, I can tell you that the gazelle is much easier on the joints than some exercise machines. I think the elliptical and recombent (sp?) bike are both ok, too. But I do use the gazelle, and as long as I don't stiffen myself, it's all good. Robin - sorry about your work situation. Isn't there a boss that can help you? Come here and vent any time, ok? Kim - aww, I hope your buddy who had surgery is ok. Let us know. You're a good friend to her, it sounds like. Kathy - I hope you're reading this, and that you'll stop in to say hello. A big hello to anyone reading this. Well, gals, I've had a good Mother's Day, and I hope you have, too. The kids and grandkids were all here for the noon meal, then some of them had to go to the other parents' for a visit, too. This was our first family meal in the new house, and it was great. I'm so glad we're all getting serious about losing weight. Having support at home is great, but it's so good to have you all doing it with me at the same time. Also, it sounds like we're a bunch of stress/emotional eaters. Did you notice that? So it's great to be able to come here when I'm stressed. My first goal is to lose 10 pounds. Then another 10. I feel so blessed to have you guys as friends. |
Almost forgot Angie's question about the career. I worked my way up from being a hotel maid when I left my 1st husband to being a personnel director of over 200 emplyees. That's "human resources director" to you young ones, lol. I really liked working with people, and often had the opportunity to help the employees with problem that sometimes weren't even work related. But what would I have done if I could've had my dream job?
I'd be Jimmy Smits' tailor. I'd love to measure his inseam on a regular basis. Ok, ok, seriously? I wish I would've finished college and become a social worker. The pay would stink, I know, but I think I'd have liked that a lot. |
Hi Ladies
Happy Mothers Day to you all. First Jane and Michelle, How would I find a Pluto Avatar? I could not believe at WDW how great all the characters are with the crowds. And that they do not rush you to just take your picture and get out of the way. Cole kept running back to each character for 1 more hug about 3 times with each one before we could get him to leave. Even the crowds were good with the little ones that needed just a little more time with each of them. Ok to answer Angie's questions, if I had 5 mil, I would pay off our house and bills, quit my job and stay at home, have another baby or 2. As for the dream job I could only do it if I had the above mentioned money, is babysit. I really enjoyed it when I did it when the other 2 kids were little, but you don't make enough money by the time you feed them all and buy all the craft stuff for them to make things. Michelle I wonder if that pop up about the virus is the same one that we get but it pops up when we are in MSN. It is just an ad although it is very intimidating. Ok the time has slipped by, I will be right back after I run to town and grab the sonny boy. Kathy |
Jane ~~ I also love Minnie, I think she's just so darn cute! Hope you have a wonderful dinner with your family. We ended up going out to chinese food, but it was really good!
Kathy ~~ So nice to see you post!;) You know, I don't remember where I got this picture from, because it's been on file for awhile. My daughter got some pictures for her myspace account. I'm sorry, maybe Jane will know how to get one for you.:( I hope you're enjoying your special day! |
I'm back....
Kathy - great to see you here! Check in everyday, ok? We've missed you. I PMed you a link for a really cute Pluto avatar. Hope you can use it. Michelle - yay for eating out today so you didn't have to cook. The men of the family here take care of cooking on Mother's Day, but Mary made some dessert yesterday that she didn't trust her DH to do, lol. |
I'm back
It will be so nice next year when the DS has his drivers license and can drive himself. Marti, what are your new hours that you work? How was your weekend with your sweetheart daughter? How come they grow so fast? I bet she can't wait until she is a little taller than you. And I just have to tell you when we were on vacation, they had a workout room with a really nice treadmill and a really nice ellitical trainer. I really thought that I would prefer the treadmill, but I really liked the trainer much better than the treadmill. How is your little dog? Sue sorry about all the rain, especially because when the sun comes out your grass will not stop growing and then you will have to spend lots of time getting your exercise by cutting the grass. Hope you had a nice lunch with your mom. Angie how is everything going for you? Did you go anywhere for mothers day? Did the boys make you breakfast or anything? Is your oldest boy still in school or did he graduate already? It is graduation weekend here, and next year my oldest should be graduating. Lets keep our fingers crossed. Hi to Robin, Kim, Jules, and Katie. I guess I had better run and give the little guy his bath so that I can put him into bed. Chat with you all later. Kathy |
Good Day all! Happy Mother's Day.
Jane Welcome Home! And Katie,,,how did she like the new place? And does her red hair look good? Or would you have raithered she kept her blonde alone? I like your idea of 1 point for each,,,water, food and exercise. That is something I can handle doing. I think we should make it some each lady can give herself a reward if she makes lets say out of 21 points per week,,,if she gets 18 and up she gets something small. Suggestions I would have is, a new nail polish color, or lipstick...possibly a CD or movie,(not sure if I can do a movie yet with all the junk sold there) a pocket book. Or a full hour of relaxing on the deck.... Kathy,,,got to love WDW, not that Ive been there,,,WDL we have beena few times already. Ya know Kathy that is an idea I never thought of,,,having more children. Not that I can physically do that now,,,but we joked years ago about adopting since that is the only way I could have a girl....either that or the milkman,,,but that didn't work either cause Monte was the milkman. ..lol Michelle,,,do you get migraines alot? I used to get brutal ones right before my TOM,,,read recently its a hormonal embalance. greaaat. now I know..lol Marti,,,I got this image in my head you doing the cha cha while you mow the lawn. Glad little Coco is doing ok... Well I got to sleep in this morning,,,felt so wonderful. Made breakfast, just Monte and I, Tanner slept over at Zacks and Brandon' was already at work. We had coffee out on the deck,,,relaxing. Then we went to work down in the basement...arghhh but got most of teh horror of the mess done. I just hate drywall dust...its everywhere, And my makes my hands feel like sandpaper. We now have the laundry room done,,, Had take out asian food. As for what carreer I would have loved to have,,,, Dolly Parton's costumer,,,or Shania's OR a set designer for movie sets. Or the person who gets to make things for movie sets...unlimited funds and tools...a girl can dream...lol |
Ange - I think Marti's going to start a new thread for brainstorming about challenge ideas. Whatever we decide to do, I think the JLs should all vote on a new name for the challenge/goal thread.
|
great idea!
Was going to post that possibly we should put the point system onto another thread,,,was going to call it the Pointer Sistas... |
oh ya,,,forgot to mention,,,Tanner and I went shopping Friday night,,,he wanted to color his hair again,,,since he is done all his theatre stuff.
He now has a big triangle patch on the top of his head ina very bright pink,,,,the rest is a deep blue. Anyways we were at London Drugs,,,wanted to get a sound track CD of Wicked.. Anyways ended up in the makeup area...I know how can that happen,,,specially if they are across the store from each other. We sniffed our way around,,,bought him some Axe...hopefully no girls will be attacking my lil baby...lol And has anyone else smelled Antonio Banderas's perfume? It smells wonderful...and the darling boy made his dad go and buy it for me for Mother's Day! Brandon bought my a new hammer...lol boy thinks of everything...lol |

Angie ~~ So sorry you had to work today, but atleast you got to sleep in and have a relaxing breakfast and coffee out on the deck. Now that I don't work, I don't get migraines as bad, but I still do if I've had quite a bit of stress going on, which I have had a lot in the last two weeks with my mom! Also, when I used to have TOM, I did get them really bad, but since my hysterectomy last year, they have gotten better...yes!:D
Jane ~~ I was happy to not have to cook dinner today. It was so hot here, and tomorrow it's suppose to get up to 95 degrees...yuck! I do not like that hot of weather!!!:?: I hope everyone has a wonderful night and we'll chat again tomorrow. The points challenge sounds like fun to me so I'm in!;) |
Just a really fast one...it's late, and was a busy weekend...just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! :grouphug: :flow1: :flow2: :flow1: :flow2:

Good Evening Ladies and
:grouphug: Happy Mothers Day!!!:grouphug: I had a wonderful day today. I picked up Jhanai for a lunch out together. I had breakfast and she had lunch. She made me this really cute snowflake thing out of construction paper. Very sweet! After I took her home and I got myself back home I got a surprise phone call from my son! He wanted to wish me a Happy Mothers Day. It was so sweet of him to call me!! (for those of you who don't know, I had a son while in high school and gave him up for adoption. It's an open adoption so he's known me all his life. He just turned 17 last month!) It was a great day! Lets see about me getting caught up here: Michelle::My pedometer is a cheapie. It was less than five bucks and it's only one step behind a treadmill. So I'm able to feel pretty confident about it. Weather was amazing today wasn't it?? I was surprised that it was up in the 80's today!! Hope it sticks around. Hope you had a lovely Mothers Day! Jane:: Glad that you have great Mothers Day. Now, if you have Blue Jays, why can't we have Cardinals??:D I have been thinking so seriously about my weight and health lately! I have in my head an essay that I want to get on paper. Pretty much my thoughts and reflections on things. I'm not getting any younger and the older I get the harder it seems for me to make a dent. So I need to really focus on myself. Kathy:: So glad to see you! How have you been? My new hours are 1-9:30pm. So much better than the 6-2:30am. My sleeping patterns are better and I feel I have more energy. Amazing what a five hour difference can make. I prefer an elliptical over a treadmill too. James likes it the other way around. Who know if we'll ever get either! My dog is doing great. She has a bandage on her little foot. They didn't find a thing while they opened her up, but the swelling is down and the build up of fluids is gone. Poor thing. Angie::I was hoping that I didn't actually swing my hips while mowing!:o But I'm sure I must have!! I was definately singing out loud...just hope it wasn't louder than the mower!:D Jhanai is ready to change her hair color. The blue is coming out slowly. I think it's a pretty shade of blue. She is wanting to grow her hair long again, then dye it black w/red. Not sure what she's going for but all I can say is it will grow out. I just think she needs to be a little older so she can really tend to her own hair.....such as style it!:) Love the Pointer Sistas name! Katie:: Hope you had a great Mothers Day.....rest up and come see us when you get the chance!! Hello to everyone else!! Ok...I think I'm going to get some rest. Hope each and everyone of you had a Wonderful Mothers Day!! Hugs to all!! |
Just a quick good morning to all--wasn't feeling well over the weekend. I am sitting here looking at a mountain of paperwork that I need to get started on...I'll be back tonight after my S-N-T workout and before Grey's Anatomy finale starts....
|
Good morning ladies :coffee:
Had a pretty good weekend. The boys wanted to take me out to brunch on Mother's Day, but didn't realize they really should have made reservations in advance and everywhere was packed. So we stayed home, and Tim cooked -- not exactly WW friendly, but it was good :) Mike cleaned my kitchen and weed-eatered the front and back yard, and Noah vacuumed and did a bunch of homework :cp: Several of his teachers had emailed me back and said there was a chance -- although slim -- that he may be able to pass their classes after all. But he is doing a ton of assignments for partial credit, trying to catch up. Erik called me at 10:00 pm from South Dakota. I don't think he knew it was Mother's Day until Mike called him and reminded him. Gotta leave for work in just a couple of minutes here...have no idea what they will have me do today. Jane, glad you are back home! Bet you are glad to have Katie home, too...I'll let you be Jimmy Smits' tailor, and I'll measure Johnny Depp...:D Marti, sounds like you had a great time with Jhanai. And how nice that your son called, too! Angie...if I had 5 mil...I'd pay off everything, build a dream house, move my mom out to CA to be near us, help out my family members, pay for school for my kids...then quit work and go to school myself. Just to go to school. Probably get 5 degrees, including Philosophy :) I'd love to study lots of things...and my dream job would be to be a novelist, preferably a very successful novelist, staying at home and working in my bunny slippers. If I didn't have to worry about money at all (like if I had the rest of my 5 mil in the bank), I'd open a tea shop, or a little bookstore, or be a museum docent. Or a tour guide at Disneyland! Michelle, I hate hot weather, too! UGH! And we usually hit triple-digits here for the first time each year by Memorial Day weekend. I would love it if it was 75 degrees year round -- except one week of 88 in July, and snow at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Hi to Robin, Kathy, Kim, Jules, Sue...hope I didn't miss anyone! Oh, and I found out one reason why I might be struggling so much with this dang plateau...the medicine I am taking for nerve pain can cause weight gain and swelling of hands and feet, among other things. But I've tried cutting back, and evidently I'm not ready to do that yet :tantrum: :censored: Soooo...all I can do is keep eating on program, drinking my water, trying to get my exercise in, and hope for the best. I want a new bike! Gotta fly.... |
Morning all! Sorry I will come in post when I get the chances too :)
Angelia -- LOL I colored my hair this weekend too - had to hide the grays! I apparently wasn't paying attention and instead of a golden brown I picked up medium brown with red highlights so now depending on the lighting I have brown/red hair LOL Michelle -- Gas is HORRID! It now costs me 80 to fill up my truck of course I wouldn't trade my truck for anything! It hauls my 5th wheel in the summer. I just limit my trips during the week. UGH ---- also I have pop up blocker so I don't get the ads here either - might be something to look into getting. Marti -- LOL we can't mow -- it has rained here for 10 days straight -- my yard is turing into a lake. (not funny) but what can you do? Katiecat -- I am sorry about the meds -- it is really aggrivating how some meds can really affect you in the wrong way. I know birth control made me gain weight but for me it is better as I have been warned to not have more (which is ok so don't feel bad :) ) Hmmmm -- Choose career? I really do love my job even though it got really nutso with no help. However I heard a little rumor that I might get a biggy promo! crossing fingers! Ok I have to go to lunch so I will check back in a bit. |
Hello and good morning!!
This will be quick, I need to get on the Gazelle!! Need to clock my time in before I start my day. (coming in here is first priority though!:D ) Jules--Hope the paperwork isn't too overwhelming! Mondays are always hectic!! Come back when you have more time and are feeling less stressed. Katie--Medication will do all sorts of crappy things to our weight. I had to take medication for high blood pressure and I felt bloated all the time. And one thing I needed to do to lower it was lose weight!! How was I suppose to do that?? Hugs to you! You'll eventually ween yourself from it when you're ready! Robin--10days straight!?! Are you sure you aren't from Oregon?:) We usually have rain all through May, so it's been surprisingly wonderful to have all this sun! But I'm a bit worried about how hot it will be this summer. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get that promotion!! Ok ladies...I need to skidaddle on out of here! I NEED to get on the gazelle and do some damage!! I will try to post more later on! Hugs! |
Good afternoon, ladies!
I had a really bad eating weekend due to my hubby's birthday (ice cream cake) and mother's Day (out to eat for ribs...then I had a frozen drink and dessert!) so I'm trying to get things right again. I missed my Curves workout Friday due to a cold and feeling like crap, so I'm really feeling out of the swing of things. My friend is doing pretty well. Of course, we still don't know if they got everything. I'm going to Baltimore to see her on Wednesday. I was going to go yesterday, but due to the cold and her having a trach, I wasn't sure it would be a good idea. I couldn't find the original post with those two questions, but my answers would be: The money: I'd pay off all our bills and the house, then have the kitchen redone. I'd also buy a boat and put both my boys in private school until high school. The dream job: I've always wanted to write for publication. So, I'd stay home and write all day, but I'm afraid I'd get distracted and I'm also afraid of failing. Hope everyone is having a good day! |
Good Morning Everyone...
Well I'm totally starting back on track today. With all the eating out in the past three days, I have put 4 pounds back on and I'm done feeling this way! I'm going to start keeping a daily log of what I eat and drink so I can look back and see what I did along the way.:smug: Robin ~~ We also have pop up blocker set on our computer, but 3FC said that everyone gets the ads, because that's what pays for this site to be free for all of us. Gas prices have raised a little more here and it's a terrible rip off! I filled the car up this morning and it cost me almost $28, and that was with a 10 cents a gallon discount!:?: Katiecat ~~ I do hate this hot weather! It's suppose to get up to 92F today, and the heat makes me sick to my stomach if I'm out in it too much.:tired: Glad you had a nice Mother's Day yesterday. Jules ~~ I hope you're feeling better today, because it's NO fun being sick! Marti ~~ I'm going to get a cheap pedometer and give it a try. What I basically want it for is when my daughter and I start going up to the park when she's out of school next month to walk the track. I'm not ready for this hot weather today at all!  |
I'm back--it's lunchtime!! Lean Cuisine chicken enchilada suiza and a cup of fresh pinneaple. Forgot my Crystal light lemonade :(! Breakfast was a banana & a Dannon Light & Fit Smoothie. Raisins for afternoon break. Almost finished my second 20oz of water.
Katie--Jane and I have already decided that our DD's were sharing Johnny!!! They both even have the same poster of Johnny on their bedroom wall!! I hope your feeling better soon--no fun to have pain. Robin-good luck with your job!! Kimberly--sorry you were feeling bad too!! Why don't you get some writers guidlines for different magazines and try submitting some articles!! Michelle ma belle--I am going to do the journaling thing too and keeping track of the calories. I lost the two stress pounds I gained last week--so I' m back at my "0" loss. I better get going on my mini-goal--I only have two more weeks in May to drop 10 lbs!! I'd settle for 5 at this point!! Angelia--I love the "Pointer Sisters"--I am seriously considering the BFL program that do talked about before. Jane--welcome back--Did you run into my friends Harry & Linda??? Sue--my husband is a metal machinst--I would love to see him branch into woodworking!! gotta go!! Marti--you should do a tracker with the miles you do an your gazelle!! Have a good day at work! |
Jules ~~ I just think it's easier keeping track in my own notebook of my daily log than on a computer site, which I had been doing. I think you will atleast lose 5 pounds by the end of May ~ YOU CAN DO IT!
|
Michelle ma belle--I actually pulled out my old WW stuff--there was the sheet to track your food that I am going to use. It doesn't take as much time as entering on the computer and I think I will keep track more accurately--everytime something goes in my mouth it will be written down and accounted for.
You :encore: Can :cheer: Do :dancer: IT :carrot: |
Hello again girls!!
I got my half hour/2miles in on the gazelle. I am creating a journal where I write all my stats in. I started one before, but that is being tossed. Not much organization in there. This one will be different. Kimberly--I'm glad that you'll be going to see your friend. I'm sure it'll mean so much to her to see you. Michelle--How old are your DD's again? They're in highschool right? My DD wants to walk more this summer too. She's already lost weight just from being more active in school. The difference she is seeing is making her want to do more. I figure, as long as she's not over doing it, she should be fine. Jules--I've been thinking of keeping track of my miles w/walking and gazelle. And if I ever get my darn tires pumped up on my bike I would add that too! Your lunch sounds good! I've been drinking my Crystal light too! Lemonade.:D Lunch for me will be a tuna sandwhich. Hello to the rest of you gals out there! Ok...I've got an hour before I go to work. Need to shower and try and get presentable for people.:D You all have a marvelous day!! |
Good afternoon. I was here last night and after typing a nice long post my computer ate it or something. Grrrrr. I wish I were more computer literate I might have been able to find it. :)
Well, after no exercise and just trying to skip snacks and get my liquid I LOST 1 pound. I will take that for sure. Now if this weather breaks and I can get back to walking I feel I will lose more. On top of that DH just stated this morning that he is going to eat healthy with me. So, that is a help and last time we did this together I lost 15 pounds. (no ice cream or goodies in the house) Mother's Day was great. We took Mom to Olive Garden and then came here and relaxed. DD came over for awhile and she took Mom home for me. We actually had our MD and DD's birthday last Sun. since the "boys" were home. But all 3 of the CA kids called me yesterday, so that was nice too. In the late afternoon I took DH dinner to the lot where he had gone to work on his barn. I ended up staying and helping him for 2 hours in the sprinkling rain. When I came home I was cold and settled in to my "blankie" and reading the paper. :) Very lazy! Today is housework day...ugh. I get so tired of cleaning toilets and doing laundry. I think I will add to my 5 million dollar dream by saying I would hire a housekeeper! Nothing else much going on here so I will run along and stick my head in the toilet...lol. |
Marti ~~ Great job gettin your 2 miles of exercising in! My DD's are 19 and 17.5, and the oldest is married and out on her own. My younger daughter is very concious with food and exercising, and right now for her PE class, she has strength training, and usually 2-3 nights a week, she does my WATP dvds with the hand weights.
Jules ~~ I'm glad you found your WW stuff and can keep track of every bit going in the mouth. I think I will do better when I can just open up my book and see my good days where I have lost weight and what differently I was doing at that particular time. This is hard, but I WILL do it! Sue ~~ Take it easy and don't work too hard with the house cleaning! |
Jules ~~ I LOVE my new Eeyore avatar! He is my most favorite character out of all the disney characters. He's just do darn adorable!;)

Hello ladies!
Katie - aww, glad you got pampered yesterday. You deserve it. Wow, that's good news about your son maybe passing his classes. Hope he does. Are you talking about an outside bike? I've got one that I love, but it's so hilly out here that it kills me to go up them, lol. I do love to coast down, though. Well, no wonder you've been struggling with the weight! At least you know the meds are the cause. Michelle - Yay for being OP. I don't like hot weather, either. If only I could have a perfect 74 degrees at all times, lol. Kim - I know you'll get right back OP. When will your friend know if they got all the cancer? Your visit will cheer her up. Marti - aww, so glad you had a meal with Jhanai and that your son called. That's so sweet. Jules - OMG, what did you think of Grey's Anatomy?? I am hooked on that show, and can't wait for the 2 hour finale tonight. Do you think Denny will die? I feel sure Preston won't. Hey, your lunch sounds great! Robin - I have to color my gray hair, too. It's a big pain, but everyone tells me to not go gray yet. Wow, I hope you get the promotion! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, ok? Angie - seems like everyone likes the Pointer Sistas for a title of our goal group. How should we do the points? Can/should we include one for taking a vitamin? Silly as it sounds, I do better with water and other stuff than taking a vitamin. So it's a real challenge for me to take one everyday. But if I got a point for it... maybe I'd do better. Kathy - so glad you were able to use the Pluto avatar. What're your plans for the day? Well, ladies, I'm climbing Mt Washmore today, lol. How can we dirty so many clothes on vacation?? In a while, I have to go write checks for bills. Yuk. I'm doing great OP, and the water, and will do the gazelle later. I'll take a vitamin if Angie says I get a point for it, lol. :D I'll be back afterwhile. PS - ACKK!! It's taking me forever to post this - our internet keeps going in and out. :dizzy: I'm clicking on "submit reply", then "back" over and over. If I don't make it back, you'll know why. |
Sue - you posted while I was trying to submit mine. YAY for the one pound down. :cp: Having your DH eating healthy with you will be so much easier, as you know. Neal and Katie are real good about going along with me doing
WW, too. I too get tired of my domestic goddess duties, lol. Michelle - glad you found the eeyore. As I mentioned in the PM, google is a real good way to find stuff, and you sure found a cute one. Here's hoping this will post..... :crossed: |
Jane ~~ Thanks for the info on Eeyore...I LOVE him! I could live with year round weather at 75F...perfect!

Just a quick note to say I posted the pictures of the two vanities DH made for the new house. They are prettier in person than the camera shows... We like the wood to be natural, no stain, so that is why it is varigated colors. We just put a poly finish to protect from water...nothing to color it. They are in the Furniture album.
