Good Morning!!!
Carrot cake is a vegetable. I don't have a computer at home. I am in a work shop this week. Whose 147?? Dang gurl.......I got on my scale last night and was 175.5. I celebrated with some cheetos and beer. What Ellen. I can't talk about your kitty?? Can I talk about your Mama?? lol Congrats again!!! Very impressed with your post Ang, so pretty. Better get to the breakfast buffet table. Adios. |
Morning Ladies--
Ellen--Thank you so much for the pics!! I liked them all, so it was hard to choose. One didn't let me view it, but that's ok, I like the one I'm using. Now how in the word did you size it just perfectly?? That has been my problem the whole time! (I always make it too small) Ginny--Considering that my highest was over 175lbs I think I'll keep 147.:) I have struggled over the last couple years to get it any lower than it has been. I've gone down to 142 and that's it!! Keeps going up and then back down. I suppose I should be happy in the 140's but being only 5'1 I think a lower weight would look better. (ooh....how vain is that statement?) Jules--Wow! I would love to see all your cars! My ideal classic car is the 64 thunderbird. Love that. Someday when we hit the jackpot and after I go visit Jane...I'll get myself a thunderbird!:D Angie--I just about cracked up reading about Monte's cheese biscuits!! That is so funny!! The only thing about James cooking...is I have to be right there to clean up everyting. That man makes a mess when he cooks! Always worth it though. Susan--You know, I have to agree w/you on the carrot cake being a veggie! Think I'll go find me some now!:) Breakfast sounds good right now. Seems late in the day and I actually got up an hour earlier than usual. What was I thinking? Not much on the agenda. Some laundry needs done, I need to get on my gazelle for half and hour, need to primp myself up afterwards...... Busy day.:D Chat w/you girls later. Hugs:hug: |

Hi Ladies...
You ladies are killin' me! Geez, I was lost when I signed in and came to thread #182 not realizing I had posted last on #181. I was lost to say the least! :dizzy: I keep trying to get on in the evening (the reason I don't sign out when I log on the first time) but it just never seems to happen. Will have to try harder in order to keep up! :) ELLEN...took me a while to get on also. I think I jinxed myself talking about getting on so easily through IE. Oh, well...I'm here and that's all that matters. ALL the kitties are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your kitty family with us. JULES...when my grandma passed away, my grandpa bought a studebaker. I think it was the only car he liked and the last one he had before his health failed and he couldn't drive any longer. And again, I think I jinxed myself...all this talk of allergies and me being fine so far finally caught up with me. Started last night and today I have had a horrible sinus headache, not to mention the nose running like crazy! JANE...your yard is sounding so pretty! Can't wait to see pictures of it. Maybe I can get some ideas for somethig new! Now all the flowers you are planting are they low maintenance? I always looks for something that is the reason for the carefree roses, rose of sharon and some others. And, sounds like you are getting a GREAT workout from it all! ANGIE...not sure at this point yet what V is wanting to do. But we are this [] close to pulling the sign out of the yard. Especially after the showing Saturday and last night. Saturday, not sure who was here but when we came back it looked like a kid had jumped all on the couch and the chair. The pillows were messed up on both and looked like someone had their feet dug in the couch. Last night, the showing was to be from 7:15-8:15 so we left at about 6:50 to give them plenty of time to look. I'm assuming most come right at the time they say and are gone in 20-30 mns. So I take Ernie to the park to walk him and we come back to see that they have come. Well...last night we left early and came back at 7:45. Now I know they have until 8:15 but no one has taken a full hour to look. So, I brought food back (since them coming at that time messed up our dinner schedule)just took everything out of the bags and Jason went to his room and Carrie to hers and I had sat down, took one bite and the door bell rings. I said to V you have got to be kidding me! The people showed up at 7:54 to look at the house. V went through the garage because once someone rings that doorbell there is no getting ERnie quieted down. The realtor told V "We have a 7:15-8:15 appt. and he looked at her like she was crazy because it was 7:54 and she said "That's okay, we don't need to see it." Well, what the heck did you make an appt. for and show up at 7:54 if you don't need to see it?!" So, not sure what he has done or said to our realtor but I am sure our realtor said something about it. The guys doesn't want to do his job but the minute I don't take an appoinment, he acts like he is upset. And yeah, if we drop it right now we will lose the money on the other house. That's why we haven't done anything yet. Can't remember if I told you about the day we came home after a showing and the sliding door was left wide open. It's the realtor showing the house that has the responsibility of making sure things are closed and locked up and she didn't even both and believe me she heard about it. Anyway...so tired of talking about that crap so...hope the doctor gave you some good info and can help. SUSAN...WTG on the pounds gone forever! :carrot: :bravo: And I would say carrot cake counts as a veggie! HIYA KATHY...I guess I missed it that you guys were going to Disneyworld. Hope you had a GREAT time! Which, I know you did! And you are welcome for the card! MINDEE...try and take it easy with the moving. Ooopsie! I made a booboo! :o I sent you a card to the new address! :yikes: Wasn't thinking about the dates. For some reason I was thinking this Tuesday was the 2nd of May-not sure where my head is. :dunno: So I mailed it too early. Oh well, if you don't get it somehow I will just mail another. *slaps forehead* SUE...WTG on the walking. I would defiinitely do more or try something different if you are not losing. But keep up the good job with your walking! MARTI...I can't remember you asking about the wATP videos before. But then I have the CRC disease like LakeGirl! I can't remember crap either! But no you don't have to have a treadmill to do them. It's basically just walking in place but she throws some extra stuff in there. You really do get quite a work out using them. I still use mine on occasion, but have been using the treadmill more and trying to walk outdoors, weather permitting. About Jhanai not knowing how to ride a bike...I would think her being bigger now would make it easier to learn, that is if she wants to. It would probably be easier for her to balance herself now than when she was little. I need to dig mine out of storage. JACQUE...my brothers used to be truck drivers. They have all worked for moving companies at one time or another. The one worked for other companies as well. Years ago my dad worked for a propane company, always worried something was going to happen to him but never did. Don't think one slice of pizza will kill ya. As long as you don't go overboard and jump right back ont he wagon. GINNY...our weather turned cold today! Brrrr...we had those bad thunderstorms yesterday with hail and it cooled off. 50 doesn't seem cold but with that wind blowing it is! I'm glad though that the temps are more close to normal than it has been the last week or so. Too early for the 80's and 90's. HI to everyone else! I hope I didn't miss anyone, I'm sure I did-always do. Just too many posts to catch up on. Anyway, not feeling so great today. Woke up with a terrible, terrible sinus headache. Apparently those darn allergies finally caught up with me. But...as bad as I felt, I still went to It Figures. 3 times around = 30 mns. but I did a little more since I wouldn't be walking today. Definitely felt it in my rear and legs when doing the squats, OUCH! Felt kind of sore today though, maybe all those 3 mile walks :dunno: I should have started slow and worked my way up. Oh well, already got started and can't quit now. So, just gotta keep on truckin'! That's about all I have. Nothing special going on, same old stuff every day. Thinking WEdnesday will be my free day rather than Sunday, not sure yet. It's my big shopping and errand running day and just don't know where I will fit in any exercise. Some days are not as busy as others but this week will be. We'll just have to wait and see. Anyway...I'll try to be back later so I don't get so far behind. Take care ladies and have a GREAT day! |
A quick update on the gazelle...
It's a no do today! I have three old men and one youngin out in my back yard getting ready to cut down a tree. This is the last of the VERY tall ones. The rest are just oaks. This one is a douglas fir. Kind of feel nervous when I see these guy here. Don't want my house destroyed! Cars are out in the street now! Ok...off I go, I will get some exercise in tomorrow if I survive the stress!:dizzy: |
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...et_byannie.jpgHI LADIES
I'm just popping in for a minute to say Hi HI CRISTI....People can be so inconsiderate, they are only concerned about their own agenda's. I can't imagine anyone jumping on my furniture. I would be fuming as I told you before. There is no reason for that and no excuse for people to allow their children to act that way in someone else's home. I hope whatever happens for you , happens soon so you can go back to a peaceful existance , dealing with normal day to day issues that we all have. It makes me never want to move again :lol:where would I put my kitties for showings :?: Nope I think I will stay here unless something significant happens in my life, hopefully for the good not the bad of course  Cristina I see your another one professing carrot cake to be a veggie. :nono:  Well I hope your feeling better and the rest of your day goes well. MARTI....I am holding my breath for you  check in later so I know you and your house are still standing  |
My house is still standing. But the tree is not. :D :D
The guy who cut it said it was about 92ft tree. That's pretty tall. Anyway, they are finally gone for the day, and I have to get to work. Glad that I was home to move the car......and to think, I was suppose to have the new shift! (I'm talking about my toyota, not the Chrysler) Talk to you all later! (oh Ellen....I was just teasing about the poem.....don't worry about that. I wish you'd make a book out all your poems and send me a copy! You're so talented there!) |
The selling of your home sounds so stressful Cristi. Hope you are feeling better tonight.
My day in a nut shell....... Wasted......lol No. Ummmm, couldn't get Rach up for school at first and when she did she threw a lamp at the living room window and smashed it (the window) to smither,,,,,,eens. Is that how you spell that? It was a horrible sound. Gaby went to school on her bus and was happy. I went to work and was distracted. I only came out of my trance at lunch time. We had beef, potatoes and blueberry cheesecake. I call this a fruit and of course I ate it - plus the 2 rolls. It is stress...... no .....that is not a excuse.....it is a reason,,,,,,hehe. So, finally Doug gave his ok for Rach to go to the 28 treatment place (it cost $3000 a day! - thank goodness for insurance) and that is where she is at tonight. I have to make a 2nd trip (11 miles 1 way) to take her some clothes. Pooped. Maybe with her safe and sound I can focus on taking care of my weight and exercising. There was a saying I just saw......."After me, you first".....meaning, we need to take care of ourselves first. Nice thought, huh? Anyway, I better get busy. I can't find any of Rachels pants......geez. Chat later |
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...4559_547_4.gifSORRY SUSAN
That's terrible, I feel so sorry for you having to go through this with your daughter, I don't know what to say honestly I am tongue tied. I have never gone through anything like that with either of my kids. I can imagine how relieved you are tonight to know she is safe and sound , getting the help she obviously needs. I hope Gaby wasn't there when that happened , it must have frightened her if she was  I hope after you get her things to her, you can get some much needed rest. What did she say, is she angry about being at the treatment center. POOR SUSAN I wish I lived close to you, maybe I could help, I don't know how, but I wish I could somehow. Well you have a good long sleep, and we will chat tomorrow:hug: |
Good Evening Ladies ~ It's so hard to keep up with all the posting here, but I wanted to say hi to all of you. I have been feeling very sick for the past couple of day, and I sure hope the feeling ends soon!:( Have a wonderful evening...;) Oh Yah, as you can see I have a different username now, because my other one kept messing up with my personal email system, so I started over.:?:
|
Hello ladies...
Okay, I'm here now and everyone can come out now! See, I come to so I can catch up and no one is here. :( Anyway...((((((HUGS)))))) Susan! geez louise, what is wrong with that girl. Hopefully no one was hurt but the window. And hopefully this place will do her some good. Glad that Doug finally gave in. Gonna have to remember that one...after me, you first. Just make sure you remember it missy! ELLEN...yeah, don't know what is wrong with people but I was fuming. Not going to do any good to say anything to anyone because they just don't care. Especially our realtor...we had a no show, and again I was po'ed and V called him and told him to find out why no one called to at least cancel. All he did was look up on the computer and said, it shows they didn't cancel. Ummm, DUH! Anyway, trying to not think about it and I am definitely not taking any showings for a while if at all. I haven't talked to V to see if anything was said today, just not feeling good. Dozed off in the chair after Jeopardy so went to bed and I just woke up about 10 minutes ago. I don't blame ya for not ever wanting to move...wish I wouldn't have! Momto2girls...sorry you haven't felt so great. Must be something going around. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Okay, thought that was you Michelle. Are those your DD's in your avatar? They are gorgeous! Almost forgot to say Hi to you Marti! I am so out of it, I would be leery about the tree too, and it falling on the house and car, thats a big one! Well, ladies I am off to bed again. Not sure if it is the medicine making me sleepy or just not feeling good. See, that's what happens when I talk about not being sick. Well, at least I get to look forward to Wally World tomorrow! NOT! See ya ladies tomorrow. |
Yikes! So much to catch up on!
Ellen - we have 1 guest room, and it has 2 twin beds, so you can bring a friend, too. There are several sheds all over the farm, but no actual "barns". We no longer have farm animals. Unless you count Derwood, my son-in-law. Tee hee Ginny - I like to write, too, but my DD is so much better at it. The yellow lilacs sound beautiful. Be sure and post a photo when you get them, ok? Cristi - so sorry about your troubles with the house. Or should I say the people looking at it. Yes, all of the flowers I have are low maintenence, thank goodness. Kathy - awww! Katie works at Dinoland at Animal Kingdom in Florida. Usually at the T-top Spin ride, or the Primeval Whirl ride. I would have loved for her to meet you. Even better if I could meet you! Come visit me anytime, ok? Sue - yay for you being the first to weigh in, even if you didn't lose! Angie - thanks for explaining what the doctor is doing. Makes you wonder what all deficiencies we may have. About the flowers, we still have to move more plants and flowers around the old (Fern's) house. Not sure what to do with all of them! She had a garden, which is still flourishing, so we'll probably just add to that. Susan- lol, I had just said the "After me, you first" to one of the new girls. So true! So glad Rachel's getting help. That has to be a huge relief! Marti - wow! Cool avatar. :carrot: I really like it. About my knee, I hurt it at WDW. Not sure if I mentioned it at the time or not, but my leg rolled under a trundle bed while I was trying to move my sleeping granddaughter who had rolled off of it, and twisted the beejeebers outta my knee. Question - why did they have to cut down the fir tree? About my MRI - I have a Baker's cyst behind my knee. It is a pocket of fluid that is an overflow from my knee trying to protect itself from the stress of the injury. The doc said the fluid may go away by itself, or he may have to go in and remove it. In the meantime, I'm to elevate it a lot, try to not twist it, or stress it any further. I have an appointment for a cortisone shot right before we go to WDW. Here's what I saw this morning from my dining room table: I forgot to scale it down, and hope it isn't way too big. When the first finch showed up, I went to grab the camera. When I came back, I saw that 2 of his relatives joined him. :carrot: I usually see these birds later in the summer, going for sunflower seeds. The new mix I've been putting out has them in it. It also brings cardinals. I'll get a photo of one of them, too. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ee/finches.jpg See you later! |
Marti....Kim or Kimberly is just fine :)
Susan....Being new, I don't know much about the history of you ladies and I'm just wondering about Rachel. Having my own problematic 10 year old, I can sympathize (tho he is only ADHD and pretty non-violent). You don't have to tell me if you aren't comfortable doing so, but I was wondering if she had been diagnosed with anything etc. Sorry for my nosiness! Hope everyone else had a great day! I worked out at Curves today and always feel really good after doing that. Then I made crabcakes for dinner for the first time ever. Yummy! |
Kim - so sorry I forgot to mention you in my post. YAY for you working out at Curves today. I've never made crabcakes, although I like them in restaurants. Do you bake them?
