Looking for Buddy who is tired of being FLUFFY

Hello I am 35 years old and have been on the diet wagon for many moons now. I just started WW without the meetings last week once again for the 100th time
and lost 3.5 lbs thus far. :) I would like a buddy who wants to conquer being FLUFFY and who wants to get out of the whole clothing that ends in a letter example 16W...LOL!!! My goal is to get down to 150 and my mini goal is to lose 5-6 pounds a month. I am a good listener and a good teammate, just need that extra push. This website is awesome and the support is definetely there that's for sure.:carrot:

elleng 03-25-2006 09:37 PM

Hi,
I just registered here, have been losing for a year now, and am on kind of a plateau...I would love to have a buddy for support. I am a great listener, and maybe we could help eachother stay on the wagon..
Ellen

AvsGirly 03-25-2006 09:44 PM

Hey ladies I too am tired of being fluffy. And I just started WW as well. I would love to be your buddy so drop me a line

happydaisy 03-25-2006 11:02 PM

I'll join you guys too, if you don't mind. I'm not doing WW, just calorie counting and exercising on my own and would love the support. I most definitely am tired of being fluffy!

GoofyGrl 03-26-2006 08:42 AM

Thanks for the support

Ellen I think that sounds like a plan. I think if we communicate and give ideas, suggestions and praises we'll do just fine for each other. Thanks again.

Question for all of you ladies, I am new to this whole forum thing what do the little red exclamation marks mean next to your handles? Just curious?

That's where you can report a bad post by clicking on it. :)

AvsGirly 03-26-2006 10:04 AM

That is to report a person for inappropriate postings.
How about the Sisters of the Fluffyhood LOL

GoofyGrl 03-26-2006 11:39 AM

Sounds great....Sisters of the Fluffyhood. I like it a lot. Let's get it started like to song says.

TryinAgain5402 03-26-2006 01:13 PM

How do I join in?

AvsGirly 03-26-2006 01:18 PM

Welcome Tryin. Not sure what we are doing yet but Welcome to the Sisters of Fluffyhood! lol So how are you losing your weight

cjlafaye 03-26-2006 02:55 PM

SOO COOL!! SISTERS OF FLUFFYHOOD UNITE!!!

HEY GOOFYGRL..... TURBO JAM IS SO MUCH FUN!! I GET BORED VERY EASY TO WORKOUT TAPES, BUT I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT.. MY SISTER DID IT TO AND IN HER FIRST 2 WEEKS SHE LOST 11 INCHES ALL OVER!!! MY HUBBY SAID THAT MY BUTT IS MORE "CUPABLE" AFTER A WEEK :) I THOUGHT HE COULD CUP QUITE A BIT BEFORE BUT I WILL TAKE IT AS A COMPLIMENT:carrot: THERE IS A TURBO JAM THREAD THAT I REGULARLY POST ON TOO. THEY CAN GIVE YOU A LOT OF ADVISE, SOME HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR SOME TIME NOW. I KNOW ONE GIRL ON THE THREAD THAT IS GOING TO BE CERTIFIED IN TURBO KICK TODAY!

GoofyGrl 03-26-2006 07:04 PM

Calling all Sisters.....Now that we have our Sisterhood established, what we do now...do we look for one pair of jeans that will fit us all...LOL! Not sure-HELP. Call me slow but needing some help getting the ball rolling. Do we want to communicate everyday, help... my intentions are good.

AvsGirly 03-26-2006 07:31 PM

Well I do believe if we have to get jeans that fit us all they better be stretch jeans. LOL Cant we find a shirt that might be easier? And maybe we should be the Sistas of Fluffyhood. Itll give us some attitude LOL
Well we could totally communicate when we can. Maybe share our struggles and our weight on weigh in days. I dont know what everyone else is doing, but Im on WW. So let me know what you wanna try.

happydaisy 03-26-2006 09:23 PM

Maybe we could post our weight loss once a week, how we're doing with exercise/food etc.?? :) Thanks for starting this, I think it will be fun! :carrot:

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 08:02 AM

Good Morning Sistas...like the sound of that, thanks to AVSGIRLY for shortening SISTERS..I like the postive attitude in our new Title..it definitely fits our sisterhood. I don't know when everyone else's weigh in is but I do mine on Friday, if everyone else is about the same timeframe what if we post our progress either in the AM or PM on Friday, but also through the week we can vent, praise, joke, whatever our hearts desire. I just want all of us to win at this demon and cry out "LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT" Plus I am sure we will all be happy when we can shop in a different department and never have to purchase another piece of clothing that ends in a letter...LOL!!! Let's do this.

twicetwins 03-27-2006 09:20 AM

I too want to join you. Today is Day One for me. I am 47, the mother of two sets of twins, all teenagers, and I have 80 pounds to lose. I have tried WW in the past, lost weight, but put it all on and then some. I have tried so many times over the years to take this weight off, but I lose my motivation after a couple months, sometimes after just a couple weeks. Maybe with Fluffy Buddies I can stick with it. I need the extra support. I am ready to lose this weight once and for all.

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 11:55 AM

Welcome aboard

cherrylatte 03-27-2006 12:45 PM

Hi ladies :O) May I join you?? I'm a stay-at-home momma of 3 kids', all of whom are torturing me right now on springbreak!! I've been losing weight on and off for the past 3 years now, I've made a bit of progress along the way but I'm soooo ready to reach my goal weight :O) I'm a calorie cycler, I workout at a gym very much like Curves called Pick up the Pace... I like the fact it's an all girls' gym, I hated Gold's gym with the big muscle heads walking around flexin' their manliness all the time :O)
So is there an official weigh-in day for all of us?? I had a very lousy weekend and my weight (after coffee/breakfast) was 187 :( My gym is beginning a 30 day challenge for all members on April 1st so I'm really excited about that, hopefully it will keep me motivated :O) Ya'll sound like tons of fun, I'm looking forward to supporting each other!! Good health sistas'

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 01:14 PM

O.K sistas we established that this Sisterhood is a place to vent, praise, joke, have fun, etc. Let's establish our by laws like the movie SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS...when all this is done we will have one pair of jeans that will fit each and everyone of us in the FLUFFYHOOD...LOL!!! Do we want to disclose our first names so it is a little more personal rather than handles or do we prefer to keep it as handles? Let's come up with our Sisterhood guidelines.

cjlafaye 03-27-2006 03:15 PM

Good Idea.. My Name Is Cassy:d

A Decree Of Honesty. That All Should Be Comfortable In Saying Whatever They Feel.

There Is No Shame In The Sisterhood. If You Dont Workout Or Stay On Your Plan, Tell Us So We Can Encourage You And Find Ways To Help.

Every Ounce Lost Is Rejoiced By All.

Your Goals Are Our Goals, Know That You Are Not Alone In This Journey...

What Yall Think?

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 03:35 PM

This is Regina. I love the Bylaws thus far. I really like the one of Honesty, we are not here to judge anyone but rather to lend our hands and hearts. I am sure we have enough people judging us to last us for a life time. I think one of the most important things we need to remember is not to beat ourselves up over a gain or if we cheated...we are only human and things tend to happen. Let's all use them as learning experiences.

cjlafaye 03-27-2006 03:47 PM

Exactly... And In Talking Thru It For Someone Else We Learn Too!!

AvsGirly 03-27-2006 04:00 PM

Well Sistas of the Sistas of Fluffyhood, I weigh in on Saturdays. I am Amanda BTW. Today has been an ok day so far. Had a banana and a slimfast bar for breakfast, and a bit of cheese and a healthy choice mean for lunch and going on 50ozs of water so far. And Im gonna float away. But i know i gotta keep up. "Just keep swimming swimming swimming" sorry that popped into my head with the water. Anyway I dont know how everyone else gets their H2O intake but I try to drink 2 32oz Nalgene bottles of water each day. Plus I fill it up with ice so when the ice melts i intake my water. Its less overwhelming to me to know i have to drink at least two of those as compared to say 8-10 glasses of water.

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 04:01 PM

I am so excited about this whole thing.. I feel energized. I want to do Turbo Jam too can I come over on my private jet Cassy:d..quick question is it Cassy or a form of Cassidy based on what you typed...just checking. Calling fellow sistas I know there are more out there any other by laws we would like to enact.

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 04:06 PM

Hey Amanda I feel your pain when it comes to the whole H2O thing. I try to drink 4-5 glasses at work...sometimes I feel like my eyeballs are floating. For lunch I went to subway, had a Subway club salad with FF italian and one package of club crackers. For breakfast I had a cinnamon bagel with 1 tsp Cream cheese and a Grande Cafe Latte with nonfat milk...so far have consumed 11.50 points for the day. Anyway I am at work, not much going on here. When I get home I am going to do my Firm DVD.

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 04:09 PM

What is BTW? I am a little slow with the abbreviations. I struggle on the journal site sometimes trying to figure out the entries.

Amanda_mae 03-27-2006 04:37 PM

What a great group! Is there room for another?

I'm another Amanda :) I go by Amanda Mae (middle name) because I know so many Amandas! I'm new to posting - - been lurking around for about a month now but finally got the courage to post today. I started WW on 3/7 after being stuck around 170-180 for over a year. Time to get the scale moving down again... and time to FINALLY reach goal!

Regina: BTW = By the way :)

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 04:44 PM

Welcome aboard Amanda, we have another Amanda too in the Fluffyhood. Thanks for help..I feel so slow and out of it when it comes to the abbreviations. Have you read the whole thread so far, do you have any by laws you would like to contribute.

Sarica 03-27-2006 04:44 PM

Me too, me too! Hi! My name is Sarah and I am fluffy. :D

GoofyGrl 03-27-2006 04:51 PM

Hello Sarah glad to have you part of the group. So far we have myself Regina, Cassy:d, Amanda and Amanda Mae. We are still waiting for the names of the other sistas. Do you have anything you would like to contribute to the Fluffyhood? How are you losing your weight? Some of us are eating right, no diet per say, others are doing WW and low carb

Mikeyandres2 03-27-2006 05:00 PM

Hi, I also am new to this website and am TRYING (HAHA) to follow the WW points system, but I guess I am what they call a "Binge Eater" I hope that we can work and support each other to reach our goals (lose 30 lbs.) As you can tell I really have no clue what my next step is....:?: :?:

Sarica 03-27-2006 05:07 PM

I am counting calories, and just watching what I eat. As far as excercise goes, I just purchased Turbo jam, and I love it!!

Amanda_mae 03-27-2006 05:17 PM

Regina: Yup, read the thread... looks like a great place for support and encouragement. No bylaws to add right now, but if I think of any I will be sure to post them. I really like the ones you guys have so far!

Mikeyandres2: I've got about 30 pounds to lose too. I think you took your next step by posting here :) We're here to help you!

Sarica: I've heard great things about TurboJam. I was going to purchase it (I already have Power90 from Beachbody) but decided to join the gym instead. I moved a month ago and don't make it to the gym nearly as often now as I did when I lived in town so I've been thinking again about purchasing it.

Hope everyone has a great evening. :) I'm off to the gym! After writing about not going as often as I should I figure now is as good a time as ever to do something about it!

cherrylatte 03-27-2006 10:12 PM

Hi :O) I've heard so much about TurboJam !! I guess I'm just gonna have to try it out :) Is it an all body workout?? I especially would like to minimize my "fluffy" arms :(
I made to the gym this morning did 40min. and I walked around the baseball field this eve. for 25min... I feel like I should be doing so much more considering my very lousy weekend long binge.. Why is it so difficult to get yourself back on track after just a few short days of poor eating?! I went over my calories today, again, what's new?! Anyways, have a healthy night girls' and see ya'll in the mornin'...
