Amanda - you ARE doing great. Don't expect perfection, because we are humans. I'm sure that class worked off the pizza.

Carri - TOM was always the pits for me. Just don't let the scale rule your efforts and it will drop soon.

Faye - I feel your pain with the workers. It's hard to get good ones anymore.

Hello to everyone else - Stay on Track and have a good weekend!

gma22 02-18-2006 05:00 AM

Good early Saturday morning gals! I twisted my shoulder in my sleep and it is bothering me so I decided to just get up and do some chores downstairs for awhile then go back up to bed. It is really nasty here as it has started sleeting so I will definitely be stuck in the house. I don't go out when it is slippery as I twist my knee so easily. I will send Jack out to the store later to make sure we have everything we need for a couple days then we will just stay in until it warms up and starts to melt.

I have my one bathroom's plumbing all fixed now, which is great and the guy is supposed to be here Monday early to install the garage door opener and take down the old one. I bet the old one is 30 years old so the old girl needs to retire!

Amanda: How awful for your friend. Maybe it won't take long to get things straightened out so they can get a new car or at least a rental until they sort everything out. She should see if her insurance covers renting a car until the insurance pays off the other one.

POINTS:

LeeAnn: :cp: :cp: :cp: (don't know how many to give you so I will give you three!)
Julie: :cp:

Julie: Lowes was saved by about half an hour! They contract out their installations and the installer called me around 10:30 AM yesterday!

You gals have a great day!

Faye ;)

Morning gals! Just a short post to put us back on page one. Hope you all are doing well, aren't too snowed in (we have nasty ice) and are keeping warm!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Faye :)

hello,

Well I've reigned myself in and have had 4 point days for Friday, Saturday, and am set for one today too. I am already feeling the benefits of my new plan - my skin feels clear, I have so much energy and I just generally feel bright (of course some of that may be due to TOM being over - hurrah!). The down side is that all these veggies means I am constantly peeing!!

I weighed myself today as I wanted to assess where I am after the pizza's and take it from there - I was very pleasantly suprised to find I'd lost 3lb! :carrot: Now this is the same 3lb I've been losing and gaining for the last few months - but this time I feel really positive about continuing to lose from this point on. I am going to give my new plan 100% for the rest of the month (about 9 days) and then weigh in again - I am hoping that by then I will have well and truly broken through this plateau!

FAYE - Sorry you've twisted your shoulder, hope you aren't in too much pain.

Hope everyone has had an OP weekend!

Love Amanda x

MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our Mission this week is strength training. Be sure and get some weight training in to improve metabolism and firm up those wiggly arms and thighs as you lose weight! Three times a week for just a few minutes will make a world of difference!

POINTS:

Amanda :bravo: :bravo:

Hope everyone has a productive day today!

Amanda: Good for you! I know you are on your way again!

Good morning! A few snowflakes = 50+ accidents on I64 this morning so it took me an hour to get to work. They just don't know to slow down on the bridges...snow is all gone now.

3 points for yesterday - didn't get enough water.

This is the big week - quilt show! I'll get plenty of strength training lugging my sewing machine and supplies to class, all my purchases around and to car. Working as a "Presser-Dresser" for the fashion show on Friday night so that is 5 hours going at top speed and no sitting. Sunday I'm white glove hostess for 4 hours. I can hardly wait.

DH was doing really well and improving but he caught a cold and is having a setback = not eating enough. Two steps forward and then one back.

Amanda, I've lost the same 5 pounds and regained it for a year. We need to buckle down and get this going.

Faye, hope the shoulder is doing better.

Hey girls! I'm down another 2 pounds to 161 and going to a new martial arts practice tonight to try it out. It'll be fun to see how different they are from fighting in armor.

What else. We're packing still and we're getting so excited about the move! We've already put the order in to transfer the phone, etc over for the day of our move. The babies are unsure about what's going on, though, but we're saving their stuff fr last, so they're not too worried yet. :)

Hubby is hanging on to the weirdest stuff. a paper bag that is older than me...? apparently it'll be worth something some day when there are no such things as bags made from PAPER.. lol!

hey there,

I got 4 points yesterday, making it 3 in a row - I am on a roll now! I am well getting into the swing of my new plan - the only thing is I didn't shop for enough provisions at my last shop so I am having to top up locally although there is not so much choice. It's all still a learning curve at the moment - working out different recipes and combinations of stuff and also knowing how much stuff I will need. It's all good though - I didn't think I was much of a cook, but I've tried 3 new recipes so far and they've all come out really well. Because I am not mixing my protein and carbs I am having to be more creative with my meal planning!

Talking of strength training - I hadn't done any for about 2 weeks, so yesterday I did a full arms and legs weights workout. Boy am I feeling it today - particularly in my legs and butt from lots of squats and lunges! Then I was straight back today to do some cardio and then my fit ball class - I found the class hard (when don't I?) because I was so achy before I even started! trying to work out when your muscles are so achy makes everything feel like wading through mud! I got through it though, but think I'll probably have a rest day tomorrow. You are right Faye - strength training will really increase your metabolism and I also find that it really helps my posture.

SUSAN - Enjoy your quilting show! Sorry dh has been knocked back by this cold, it's so hard when ones immunity is so low. Hope he has a swift recovery.

TUESDAY: today is Target Tuesday and our target this week is eating out. It is hard to stay with our programs sometimes when eating out. Try going to the restaurant websites and checking to see if they have suitable food for your program! Many restaurants like TGIF and Applebees have Atkins or WW choices.

POINTS

Amanda :bravo:
Susan :cp:

LeeAnn: That is so funny about the paperbag. Glad your packing and such is coming right along. I know you will be thrilled to get into your new house!

Susan: Hope hubby is feeling better and have a wonderful time with your quilt friends. Sounds like a lot of excitement!

Amanda I am going to PM you a couple of lowfat recipes that are very tasty and not weird and best of all Easy! Jack eats them so anybody will.

Have a good day group! I got my garage door opener in and my bed put in the spare bedroom. The cat loves the new bed now. I think because we put him in there when we have to go up into the attic, he thinks that is HIS room! lol

Faye :)

I went to the martial arts practice. I loved it. So many things carried over from fighting (also, so many things didn't!) It was weird being the only adult in the class (and not a particularly athleticly-built one, either!) but when the competition training began another two adults showed up and it was great.

All in all it was a really fun time, but you don't have to PAY for the first two classes.. ;) I'm being kind of stubborn about paying for it. After all, the SCA is free.... :dizzy:

I'm down another 2 pounds to 159 (ok, and a half... sheesh) Hopefully I can keep going.

Hi all,

Another 4 points for me yesterday - that's 4 in a row! I wasn't too achy today so I went to my evening cycle class. Tomorrow I have a 10am appointment with my instructor at the gym to set a new programme - then Thursday it's a well earned day off - I am knackered!

FAYE - that is nice of you to think of me regarding the recipes! I am a vegetarian, but I can probably adapt them.

LEE - Congrats on the weight loss - you are doing really well.

Love Amanda x

WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's Woes and you can gripe about anything today!

POINTS:

Amanda :bravo:

Amanda: I apologize as I did not know you were a vegetarian when I sent the recipes. I am not sure how much adapting you can do to what I sent though.

Hope everyone has a great day today.

Faye :)

Good morning everybody!

3 points yesterday...not enough water. Stupid Olympics! I a hopeless Olympic junkie and it's been killing me staying up till almost midnight everynight. Thank goodness the kids are on spring break so I can at least sleep in a little!

It's the same old story for me, though...my body feels like it's changing, but the scale ain't moving! I'm thinking about putting my needle-phobia aside for just this once and go in for a thyroid check. It's about the only thing I can think of that could be keeping this weight on me. I'm just so frustrated...at least the skating is going well.

Lee, I can't believe how fast you're losing! I'm so jealous.

Amanda, sounds like you're fired up again--good for you!

Susan, I hope you have a blast at your quilting convention--You SO Deserve it!!!

Carrie--HI!

Faye--I hope the plague has finally left your home!

Everyone have a great day! I'm off in a little bit for my skating lesson.

Woe is me! ... I can't really think of anything to "woe" about! LOL!

Have a great day everyone!

gma22 02-23-2006 05:45 AM

THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday so be sure and take some time for you today!

Julie :cp:

Julie: Jack is better but the dr says he thinks mine is a combo of a cold and allergies so....It is always something with me! I told Jack yesterday that some people like the sympathy they get being sick, but I hate having to force myself to clean etc when I don't feel well and I hate not feeling tip top, exercising and the lot. I am giving it over the weekend then it is back to the dr for me if I am not completely better.

LeeAnn: It is great when we have no complaints, isn't it?

Faye's BooBoo of the week. I ordered all kinds of stuff to spiff up the house before my sister gets here including some beautiful blue, white and yellow plaid throw rugs for my living room. They were on clearance so I ordered 4 of them, thinking the largest one was a runner type thing to go between my kitchen and living room where it goes from carpet to linoleum and the others regular small throw rugs. OOOPPPSSS! They came last night and they are all huge. In fact, the largest one is a big area rug. The good thing is they are so large they cover all the icky parts of this darn shabby carpeting and really make the room look nice so alls well that ends well.

Everyone have a great day. Oh, FYI I will set up the post tomorrow, but I will then be gone until Monday so hold down the fort for me!

Faye ;)
