Let's try it this way.....

If you are eating 5-6 smaller meals a day, lets say 1/2 point for every meal, that way it will be fair to the other girls. And still 1/2 point for snacks!
Sound reasonable??:)

Wow,I wish I had time to eat 6 times a day!! I would never get hungry!:carrot: That would be great!

My points are at thier lowest today,I've been doing the year end for my dad's buisness and have acouple more hours to go then I'M DONE!! YIPPEE!!

The Eating for Life allows only 6 meals with no snacks. It states that you should eat every 2.5 to 3 hours and each time you eat should have a balance between carbs & proteins so that you are satisfied but never 'full'. They give you all these recipes and of which some are just nutrition shakes. You can use nutrition bars if they have a good balance between carbs and proteins. Its like you are required to 'snack' 3 times a day between breakfast, lunch, dinner and again after dinner, only do NOT call them a snack. I don't know whether it is going to work, but several people recommended the book and the way of eating as really good for energy levels. So I would be able to get 3 points for meals without any possible snack points doing the Eating for Life. It would still be better than what I'm doing now, which is horrible.

I'm beat,I'll catch up to you all tomorrow!

good job today ladies!

Morning all. Keep up the good work. Today I've got another spinning class in the morning. I've never taken this particular class so I'm not sure what the instructor is like. I hope she kicks our butts (I really need to lose back there!)

Nett-I have the Eating for Life book. My hubby and I did Body for Life last year. I found that eating that often was hard for me to maintain, but the days when I could manage it my ENERGY LEVEL, and MOOD seemed to stay steady. I've tried some of the recipes in the book. It bothers me that they don't include calorie content with those recipes. Anyways, good luck.

Well I'm off to bed after a pretty sh*t*y day ... hardly slept last night, felt exhausted all day today, so haven't managed any exercise whatsoever ... and I've eaten lots of things that I shouldn't have!! ... My points are going to look pretty crap for today:(

I'm out on a girls night tomorrow so I'm going to have to try really hard to be good:dizzy:

Goodnight all!

Good morning everybody!!

Sandra-good luck at the gym!!!

Nichola-it's ok about the points, any points is better than no points at all.
Stay positive!

I finally got to excercising last night. 20 min on my Orbitrek. While watching a futbol game with my sweetie. Tip: watch t.v while you work out...it makes the time go by so much faster.

Good luck everybody and keep up the good work!

I gotta tell you all, this point system is really helping. At the gym I was going to stop at 30 minutes but I said "I'll get another point if I do 40" so I kept going!! Woo Hoo!!

I'm feeling very positive today so I'm going to try to get the most points yet for myself. It shouldn't be hard as I haven't gotten many yet - hee hee!!!

Rosario - Awesome job working out last night, you go girl! Keep it up!!

I'll check in later ladies!!

Great Job Everybody! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Brandy, Thanks for the encouragement & FYI the Eating for Life website now has the nutritional information out there (grilled salmon is page 84). I'm a big calorie counter myself when I'm doing good. Today is better just feeling like someone is whispering in my ear 'You're not really hungry.' 'The spinach salad for lunch is going to be SO good for you as well as to eat'.

Wendy, Your earlier post comment was that 192 fl oz of water is too much, might overwork my system. Not sure I follow you there. I know that too much water will flush electrolytes or something to that effect, but I thought that was like 3 gallons or more a day. Am I sabotaging myself with the water trying to make myself full with it so that I don't keep bingeing?

One question: at the end of the challenge how will the winner be determined? Lbs. lost or points earned? Just wondering.

I was over at the DYP threads and I couldn't help getting a little more competitive. Competition is a great motivator!!!

So come on ladies, lets step it up a bit. Don't want to be running away with our tails between our legs at the end. (although, we really wouldn't because any weight loss makes us a winner!!!)

Tiggs 02-16-2006 05:30 PM

Can I join you guys still...I was a member of the original thread but have been sick and then away on vacation however I'm now ready to get back into things and having this challenge would help me big time.

I plan on making tomorrow turnaround day as we're still in the process of unpacking and settling in today.

Great job ladies...:carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Wide in Winnipeg 02-16-2006 06:50 PM

YA! Jump right in! All are welcome at this point!!

At the end we will Tally up the points from each group and find out who the winners are! I have a funny feeling we ALL will be!!!

Dinner time,catch ya later!
