i worked out but only few min. worth. for me right now motivation is not breathing and bein in pain. hey miss l dont beat yourself up. was it good at least? im noit in a good mood. im on the fence as to whetther or not im getting excuses from my new massage lady. im givin it one more try in 2 weeks and if i get another call from her sayin shes not comin then g help her bc i will be confronting her if thats what it comes to. |
T, CLOTHES? I remember you not liking the tight a$$ clothes. Thats a reminder for me too. Although i don't care right now what size I'm in... just that I WILL NOT go and buy bigger clothes. NO WAY!!!!!!
A, Even a little workout counts. Call the lady up and tell her if she cancels one more time your going to find someone else. That gives the ball back to her and if she shows you know she wants to keep U and if she doesn't you can find someone else. You don't want someone you can not count on. Nah the big mac wasn;t that good sad to say LOL! Either were the fries. DD only ate half her cheeseburger so maybe it wasn't just my food. Had an even longer walk than planned. My dog was scared of a kids bike and wouldn't walk pass so I had to walk her ALL the way around the other way so we wouldn't have to pass the kid. |

That is true, I am very uncomfortable daily right now in my clothes. They are tight and everything sort of pops out over the top.
My dog used to go crazy over anything orange, would stand there and bark and bark, they are so funny!!! I think those big macs are much smaller than they used to ba also, so less food more money and less flavor, maybe we should just try Jareds idea and go to SubwayLOL!!!!! 213.5 this am so down 13 oz yesterday, and no midnight snackin!!! Back up to 245 but I'm not gonna freak I'm blaming the salt ..it's my story I can tell how I want :lol: I'm going all natural today and eating NOTHING but fruit, veggies and lean meats...oh yeah and water water water. I want to say tomorrow too but I have a movie date with DD so I will have to make those choices when the time comes.
T- funny you should say subway. I wanted to go there! DD was all jumpy needing to go somewhere so I just drove and the first place we seen was Mcdonalds + my bank was right next door so thats where we stopped. Of course walking in there I remember the not so wonderful big mac I had been wanting...you know the rest of that story :( My dog is a pit bull and all the stuff you hear about this breed and mine is a big chicken. Shes scared of loud cars/ trucks ..she hears them coming and she just freezes and will not move. She was scared of the kid to began with because he was all hyper jumping around and throwing stuff. Once the bike came out she just stopped and at the high end of 50 pounds when she decides she not going that way she pretty much gets her way. A, If shes worth it I would give her another chance too. I wish I didn't like fast food. I used to love mc donalds fries but they have kinda went down hill too. I better not start thinking about fast food I do like or I will be craving something else I don't need :lol: Way to go T on the loss... 3 more ozs and you will have that pound :cheer: |

Good idea A , but I can't do popcorn at the movies. I end up drinking tons of soda and running to the bathroom 2 or 3 times. I usually go for the candy but I'm gonna try and stay away from that too. Did really good today and followed my plan. I wish I was better at low carb... my body works better without the sugar. Like anything else though your going to get tired of the same old stuff and i'm already picky enough.

The movie was good.. we watched The last mimzy...was a cute movie. A little weird but cute..kinda reminded me of ET. I shared a soda with DD and had a handful of her popcorn. Woohoo A four pounds is great :cheer: I stayed at 245 this morning. |

whats up? you did great lorra! congrats!! thanks. im ok....i meant tyo say that im being given these stories by the massage lady. and yest i emailed one of the others i met w as a back up and after coming here and telling me she could do 8, now shes saying she cant and i think its bc i asked her if shed take 115 in lieu of 130 so its not an option. ive to wait til mom goes out for the night to get a massage and she leaves 715 730 and plus w daylight time it dont get dark til 8. dont want a massage in daylight. am dn .2. sup t? |
Oh A thats good to hear. Not that your getting those stories but that it wasn't you :hug: I would think they could work anytime out for you. Probably depends on their day if they were over booked that morning they probably don't want to go out and do another in the evening hours too...although my sister usually has all her appt's booked after 4 pm.
I was down to 244.5 this morning. Hope the scale is good to me tomorrow too. How's it going T ? |

A, I dont know why she would lead you on, unless she intends to but is just lazy. I didnt walk the other day, but spent 5 hours yesterday doing yard work and spring cleaning the cars. I would have thought i would have lost, but i gained 1 lb and 2 oz, what the crap?
I share your frustration with weight, nothing seems to work. A, ok, so im a little slow, but a bag of grapes in your purse could work at teh movies.... great day all!! T |

L, I am not even managing to keep my food diary and keep track of points. I am focusing on getting through the day without totally blowing it. I cant stay focused b/c I am too frustrated at not losing. I think once I lose the weight I put on over the winter I will probably feel A little better.
A loss today though 211.8, that is a good start Hope your day goes better. A, where are you???? T |
t- yeah thats kinda how I feel. When I lose a lb it's easier to stay in control then when you've gained and have to start all over again. I'm back up to 245... seems like i'm stuck here.

yeah t i heard bout the snow. nh got 6 in n my parents are drivin up tomm for easter. i cant wait to have the hse to myself. keep up the awesome work t! thanks lorra:hug: yeah i know it is but im sick to death of failing. im currently trying to get a sibling effort goin hopin that if we all stick together we will muddle through bc bein in a hse w 2 non diet parents(not that they dont need to they just dont) is brutal. my sister and her dh said theyd do it w me after the weekend so i told her to tell me when they wanna start. we are trying to come w something to make it fun. |
Great idea A, Wish i had a couple buddies to diet with too. All the people who want to diet are all states away so it's emails or phone calls. My only local friend that is on the heavy side is pregnant right now so ...out of luck :(

i feel sooooooooo good!!!! i treated myself to a hot tub soak. lorra most of my sibs are out of state too but we are gonna try it anyway i do have 1 sisa 15 nin away n i heard her talkin last weekend about it so i bit the bullet...was sorta like ok fat sibs my fats gotta go who's in? type of thing.(we all are fat and only one of us is already on ww) well i bought a tread today-moms gonna kill me sayin i cant do it but you know what? i CAN and DID!!!! yay me!! ok so i gotta keep it flat, no incline and no faster than 2 mph but you know what? thats a big deal to me bc i always thought i couldnt bc i never tried! and today i did...i had to hold onto the sides toi stay on but hey i did it. the guy also said i could use my crutches if i wanted to too. i think i finally tapped into the i can do it thing:) |
Send THE I CAN DO IT it over to me A, Today being Easter :o food and treats everywhere I totally pigged out big time. I should be in bed but I'm up looking for DIETS.....I'm thinking I might just go ahead and start curves. It's close and makes more sense...I would really like to join the gym I joined before. It has more stuff and doesn't get boring like curves does. That whole going in a circle on the same stuff over and over gets old fast...for me anyway BUT the cons to the gym I like is it costs more and when DD gets out of school for the summer I will have to put her in child care which will cost even more. The pros to curves is it's really close and I would have time to go after Dh gets home from work. I don't want them to try and rope me into the year contract though. I remember last time I went there I HAD to fight to get out of that contract even though I canceled before my trial was over. I felt like they were trying to sell me stuff more then wantng me to come to work out. I need to do something though and this trying on my own isn't working long term :( Four months at curves isn't to bad right? Actually not even 4 whole months more like 3 and a half....yea I'm trying to find more pro's

I love curves, I do the trivia and word scramble, the people at the one here are really good at shaking it up so you dont get bored I pigged out yesterday too and am up a couple lbs, of course auntie flo is knocking on my door.... Great day you two T |

:hug: lorra! i feel ya girl! id be much better off at a ww meeting....yet i insist on failing time after time on myy own all bc i dont wanna pay for classes or get up early to get to them. from what i heard, curves is good short term for beginners. do you have like a community thing like a ymca or something? that type of thing is cheaper. good luck girl! let us know what you decide ok? im excited that my tread is coming tomm!!!!! cmon you guys ! wqe can do thgis!!!!! im REALLY trying to focus mentally on the fact that i cant move around, walk or breathe. try thinking about how the wt is affecting your basic daily activities. l i wishg i lived near you id watch dd for ya. |

No we do not have a YMCA here in my town probably in the next town up but thats where my other gym is...I would run into the same problem. I wish you could babysit toooo :D Shes 11 so there is not to much to it. I think I've made up my mind to go ahead and start curves. Just gotta stay out of that year contract though. T, they do that kind of stuff at this one too. They have drawings to win stuff. Didn't stay long enough to win anything though. The ladies were nice I remember that. Once they sign you up they don't try and sell ya anything else... |

thanks yers it 10 and i walked for 10 min on it as practice. my sis n her dhj are startin bk on ww monday.:) i was thinking of getting a ped. bc looking at the dig. readout on how many cals i burned in 10 min is depressing...it was only like 30 cals so i think how any steps would be better.... gl at curves! do not get sucked in!!! cuz after awhile youll need something more challenging. |
A, don't even read that read out ..everyone is different. Instead you should put it at distance instead of cals...that way you can see how your workout is improving. Thats what I would do at the gym...was fun to see how much more I could do each week.
Yeah thats true with curves A but you are free to go around the circle as many times as you want. Go around four times and you got in an hour workout. The same thing over and over is what gets boring to me but I'm going to look on the good side of it ...I will be doing something to help with my weight loss. It's alot better than sitting here getting fatter waiting for the summer to be over to start the other gym right? I need to find myself a diet I can stick to though. I can't keep to the writting everything down with WW. Maybe if I wrote everything down at the start of the week and know what I'm eating that day but then I will have to do major shopping in one trip and plan everything ...life gets in the way of that...I don't know ...will figure something out. |
I am signing up for the March of dimes walk. 6 miles, so I am trying t get in shape for that. Going for walks and stuff, I have to get myself to where 6 miles is easy again. Am hoping this wh=ill help me lose.
A, I agree w/ L about the readout, you should focus on time, the longer you do, the more you burn. L, go for it!!! Great day ladies, I have gym this am and will get a workout there!!! T |

hmmm A ...that sounds like a good idea. I looked and looked and looked all over the web for diets and basically they are ALL the same thing ~ EAT HEALTHY stay away or limit fatty and sugar foods. Ever heard of the traffic light diet? Kind of a no brainer on what to and not to eat. Green (veggies & fruits) foods you eat as much as you want , yellow ( rice, noodles) foods you go easy on and red (red meats and sugar) you stay away from or eat only in very small amounts. Was going to buy the book but now I'm thinking I have a 101 ( no not really but a lot :lol: ) books that tell me the RIGHT foods to eat I really don't need another one. I've been craving veggies and fruit so thats a good sign to start eating healthier will not hurt my family to do so either.
T, that sounds fun and a good reason to get in shape too. A, yeah on the massage :) Lets go for 11 min on that :tread: today...you can do it :D |

thanks. did 3 miles in 20 minutes. ya know its funny bc core contradicts some of what you posted bout that traffic diet thing. on core you get to have meat every day if you want it but it limits you to once a day and only the leanest cuts. the rest of is basically the same except for the starch thing. again you get as much as needed at one meal but the stipulation is its limited to b rice not reg. and w. pasta not reg. give it some thought k? :hug: |
You know what works the best for me...eating light during the day and eat enough to get full at dinner. I seem to lose the most doing that. If I slip up and eat to much during the day all I want to do is snack all day long. Every diet says eat more during the day and less at night but that doesn't work for me I end up hungry all day long. Guess I'm a little backwards :lol:
