Ok ladies, I exercised for 30mins on the stairmaster, then did another 45 on the weight machines. And I got in almost 80oz of water. What do we have for today???

Hey ladies, got in 30 mins of cardio and did another 30 mins on the weight machines.
I have 2 birthday cakes to make this weekend and three birthday parties to attend.. AAAAAAHHHHH my biggest goal is to not eat a lot of the junk that i know will be around.. and to not put ANY icing in my mouth while i'm making the cakes LOL. |
Okay..confessions. My ear and jaw hurt so bad this morning that I slapped the alarm off an stayed in bed. I did get back to the doctor today and with the antibiotics (which I'm just finishing but they aren't doing squat anyhow)...I get to take a heavy duty decongestant and some prednisone. My glands aren't swollen, my throat isn't sore. My problem is with my ears. They aren't draining like they're supposed to, so I have excess pressure built up in them. Hopefully the prednisone and the decongestant will get me feeling better fast. The decongestant is making my nose run like crazy right now. I guess that's a good thing.
Anyhow, Tonight I am going to the gym with my sister. I'll have my exercise in. I didn't quite cut it with water but I usually drink about 48 oz. while I'm there at the gym so I'll be close. Well, I had my WI today and I am officially down a pound!! and I measuered last night, and I have lost 1" from my middle, and 3" off my bra size! Have to run or I will be late!! Later chicas!! Mini challenge: Have only one piece of cake for DD's birthday today! |

I got 45 min done at the gym last night and two bottles of water so I was super close to my water goal and met my exercercise goal yesterday. I haven't weighed in and don't plan on it for a week or so. I have my TOM on the way and yesterday the doctor put me on a short run of prednisone to take the swelling and pressure down in my ears so they will drain. So weird that such a simple problem could cause such pain. I did weigh myself a few days ago and I am up 2 lbs but I do have a tendency to put on 5-7 every month with my period. Lucky me! Well gotta go so I can get my challenge done and start drinking my water...bust up a fight between the kids, and get my homework done. We're taking the kids to see the Monster Truck races tonight. ~chris |
OK ladies, I made the water goal, and I did 25 sit ups, but I can't do lunges because of my knees and ankles. I have not figured out how to do the cardio today, maybe will hula hoop later. (Is that cardio???) Back form work, but now off to chuckie cheeses for DD's b-day, and make a cake. Later

Too tired for cardio after chuckie cheses, but I had 2pieces of cake that equaled one serving. Yay!!

I didn't make my goal yesterday either. I ran out of time and then didn't get home til midnight. OH well, there is always today! :)

I have made the challenge with drinking my water.... havent gotten all the exercising in though.. does walking Sam's club for 2hrs count...:D but i am going to do the yoga today and try to do saturdays challenge... you guys are just doing so good... and today I am counting all calories ... for me and hubby... he is going to start trying to get healthy to.. he told me as soon as its nicer out he will start walking with me.. that is a plus... I finally got him to smoke outside.. so we can rid the house off the toxins.. so i am hoping with that he will slowly stop.. we will see.. everyone have a wonderful day.. you are doing wonderful..,. you all inspire me so much.. so off to do the yoga.... 3 birthday parties this past weekend.. i think i did pretty good with the food.. and i never had one single peice of cake or scoop of ice cream! My goal today is to do 30 mins minimum on the bike i have at home, go to the gym for 1 hour after hubs get's home from work , take the boys for a walk and drink atleast 64 oz's of water. I'm trying to fit in as much as i can because next week i start back to school .. it will be hard to make it to the gym but i'm going to dry my darndest to get there. |
Good morning ladies! I had a rough day yesterday, but today is a new day! I had left over cake, but thankfully the rest of the family came ove and helped us eat it!! THere is no more cake or ice cream left in my house!!
Goals for today: 30min on treadmill, 64 oz water, and get my laundry folded and out away...it is still sitting on my chari from last week!!! I really need to got it put away!!! |

Oh.. and update on Liam.. he is up 300 grams this week.. from 80 last week.. his stool and urine tests came back fine.. he has a sweat test tomorrow.

ladies< I made it to exercise!!! 30min on the treadmill, then 45min with the weight machines. Dinner is being made and two of the three are sleeeping. The other one is sitting with daddy. I am feeling a little discouraged because I have not really lost any pounds. I keep bouncing around the same four pounds. I know that I have lost inches, but it can be hard to keep trying when I am not losing any pounds. I will keep truckin, but my heart is not in it tonight!

I have to say ... I am very proud of myself... and hubby too.. I did really really good yesterday... 30 min of cardio 25 sit ups 10 ea side lovehandles 10 lower ad drank 128oz of water... and only consumed a little under 1200 cals.. for me this is great.. so i am happy.. will do this again today .. can someone tell me what amount of calories my hubby should be consuming.. he is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 215 lbs... his healthy weight is around 175-180.... also. does anyone know how many calories are in coffee brandy.. that is what his drink of choice is... but i have no idea what the calorie count is.. I am so happy i never got into drinking.. it has put a lot of weight on this man of mine...:o any help would be great... sounds like everyone one did great yesterday... lets keep up the good work.. just think... summer is coming almost time for shorts..... have a great day ladies you are all doing grrrrrrreeeeeaaaattttttttt!!!!!!! good afternoon Ladies,
I haven't eaten over 1200 calories yet today... but i have not had supper.. I have been kinda hungry... i think its getting close to that time.. but i havent grab anything that i shouldnt eat... i have drank almost 128 oz of water... I dont think that is to bad... For supper: 1 b/s chicken breast/ bbq sauce 1/2cup corn 1cup broccoli what do you think... I know that you need to eat so you dont put your body into starvation mode... so anyhelp with the calories and such would be great... my Sister-in-law keeps telling me to go low carb.... what do you all think about the low carb???? I am not sure what my calorie intake should be..or what my hubby's should be... my weight 161 height 5'5 hubby weight 215 height 5'8 please any help with this is greatly appreciated.... on the plus... my hubby is going to take a walk with me tonight... yipppppyyyy.. ok...have to go get some more work done i will try to check back later... great job ladies... Carly~You can do a search and find sites that have calculators for finding the basal metabolism rate. It always depends on how active he is. Usually for guys to lose weight they need to eat between 2200 and 2500cal a day. For us ladies a good range is 1200 (bare minimum) and 1500cal. Good luck!! |

Thank you for the advice regarding the calories.... hubby is not active he is a couch potato... but i am trying to work on that... today so far. 30 minutes cardio 35 situps 20 love handles 15 lower abs for breakfast an omelet with onions and mushrooms, 1 slice cheese and 2tbs salsa... let me tell ya that was yummy... I used 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites/ with water no milk..(because i was putting the slice of cheese on it.) Carly-I did low carb and still do but I have noticed the lower I go with my carbs, the more my body over-reacts when I do eat them. Then I end up in a big binge. I think a person needs carbs, just not the wrong ones. I've been munching on large carrots and celery lately. I just hadn't been getting much veggies in me. I did lose 2 lbs last week, but its back on this week. Nothing like a period and a round of prednisone to make my weight woes worse.
Great job with exercising! I'm impressed. Ellen-I agree with the motivation problems. Why does it seem when you stumble, it is so hard to get back to that good place where it all seems to work and just click right into place. that's my big problem. That and diet pop. ;) The salt is killin me! Anyhoo...I didn't get to the gym last night but did 20 min on the gazelle, and 25 min of my new pilates tape. I hadn't done Pilates forever and I can actually roll up without a huge struggle like before. The gym is a big help. I'm thinking under my little chunk rolls...I actually have some ab muscles and some back muscles. WHOO HOOOO! That was a bit inspirational for me. Today I'll be going to the gym with my sister after parent teacher conferences. If she decides not to, I'll probably go later anyhow. We're mixing it up a bit for awhile. We were using about 1/3 of our gym time for cardio and 2/3 for weights...so we're doing the opposite and doing more cardio now. Gotta get the butt shrunk....:D Hey Jenn! BTW..I was so glad to hear Liam gained some weight. That is awesome. ANy other news on the little guy? How's your weight loss coming? I tell ya what, I'll be more motivated and more apt to keep going when I actually get closer to 190. I keep hovering around 200 and have gone down to 194 but right back for the last year. I hope everyone is doing well.... its so nice to wake up and its light out... the days have been pretty nice around here... anyways, I have done pretty well so far this week... last night i slipped a little... my daughter made homemade pumkin cookies :o i had 2 they are so yummy and my hubby bought me a med hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts... bad I know... but i will have to exercise alittle more today.. my calorie intake wasn't bad though only about 1650... I did drink 128 oz of water so that is good... we had Salad for supper.. in my 20 years of Marriage I have never gotten hubby to eat salad for supper so i was happy he did.. I did put chopped turkey breast in it and some shredded mozzarella cheese.. so that made it a meal for him... so anyways, how is everyone doing??? please let me know you guys are what keep me motivated?? and believe me i need all the help i can get... well have a great day,..... keep smilin... and movin..... drink ya water.... Liam had a sweat test done (testing for cystic fibroses so i was told) on tuesday.. and we go back to the dr on monday. We are heading up to my dad's this weekend (4 hours away).. should be able to do alright as far as eating goes, my dad rarely buys junk.. whoo |
I am here did a little better yesterday, but did not make it to the gym. I will go this evening after dh gets home. I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Looks like it is going to be another oh so nice day out... I am just loving this.. I put all my house plants outside yesterday... they just love that... :D anyways,,,, I did really good with my exercising yesterday.... 30 minutes cardio, 30 sit ups, 15 love handles, 15 lower abs.... next week i think i am going to add another rep to them.... we will see ... it has been challenging thus far.... but getting easier everyday... I have a good friend who calls me everyday to make sure i am doing what i am suppose to so that is a great motivational tool.... I also, drank 128oz of water... my eating was ok... still not great... but I think adding the exercising and at least eating healthier foods is a big help.... so any one have any new challenges for over the weekend... Sorry I've been absent all weekend. I've had a ton of homework to do and I just don't feel so good again. My ear isn't draining again so my neck is super sore and it hurts to swallow and stings to drink...my ear flat out hurts like crazy and its ringing so loud. I don't know what to do. I have to wait til monday to make an appt with the ENT doctor. I'm hoping they can get me in right away. It got so much better when I took the prednisone and then bam....2 days off of it and I get this back. I think the next step is a tube in my ear or something. At least that's what I read. The prednisone and the decongestants aren't working.
Forgive me if I'm not here tomorrow...I just feel miserable and wishing my head would fall off..well at least that side of it! :D ~chris |

Very busy weekend, and having the blahs a little today. My brother and I spent a tone of time looking up old friends on the internet last night, and time just flew by, and before I knew it it was very late. I actually got into bed about 45min b4 DH got up for work. He laughed at me. oh well. Trying to eat well, and makie it to the gym tonight.

No asap here. It feels better today but I did make me an appt. The ENT can't get me in until the 19th. OH well, if it really starts acting up, I can always go back into the walk-in clinic and get some more prednisone.
I have been doing awesome today with my eating and I have journaled it all. I just have to quit going at this at half motivation. Gotta give it my all. I'm working on dinner then I got to take Tiana to volleyball practice. Then finish my homework assignment. I'm almost done. WOO HOO! Then I have one test to take. I'll start the whole thing over again tomorrow. Its hard to stay on top of everything right now. I have so much "mom' stuff to do and the schoolwork is getting harder and the assignments are more involved. ONly a few more weeks of school left though. :) Gotta go. Check back later. ~chris |

Carly, I always end up feeling like I'm sabotaging my diet efforts. I wonder why a person does that? I've been good so far today. I ate my cereal this morning and haven't snacked yet. I'm trying to keep myself busy with things. Keep those hands busy ya know. I've been working on stuff for our taxes (which we haven't done yet) Bad us! and doing laundry, and picking up here and there.
My ex called too. I'm not sure what to do with that one. He was supposed to take Tiana last weekend but his wife was drinking and being violent. Then he said on Sunday she was bawling her eyes out about everything, then her period came, and she leveled out and was fine. He made her go to the doctor yesterday for a physical and to get some bloodwork done to see what's happening because he says she's only been like that once before, right before she found out she had cervical cancer. I told him before knowing all that, that Tiana couldn't go out there until she was gone or "clean" for a few months. Now he wants to take Tiana this weekend. What do I do? I thought she was doped up on drugs and I was furious..that's why I said Tiana couldn't go out there. What if it really is a female problem? Do I let Tiana go out there or wait for awhile and see what happens? Oh I better go...I have to get Samantha (my niece) from school. Chris |

Chris... that is a difficult one... I always believe as a mom... you have this gut feeling... and if it just doesnt feel right.. she just doesnt go...I think the ex's Wife needs some time to get her self together even if it is a female thing.. maybe you could wait a couple weeks before sending your daugther... anyways,,, with the eating thing... not great ... but exercising is going great... and drinking my water..I really need to stop being so lazy and sit down and write out a weekly menu .. with calories and everything.. I feel like a kid getting sent to the principle's office today. I have to go to the weight loss clinic today and I am up to 204. YIKES! I've been having a rough time lately. I can't say I've been trying as hard as I can, but there has been so many interruptions in my life as of late. Like my ears, prednisone, lack of time, stress...etc. The list could go on and on. I could use all that as my excuses but I know I haven't been doing what I should and I'll have to pay for that one.
Thanks for your advice Carly. I didn't want to offend him on the phone so I had told him that I would think about it, but I really don't want Tiana out there and I don't think she's ready to go either. Hi Ellen and Jen.... we have missed you... I think for some reason when the season change... we have a hard time adjusting to the change.. it is just another stress added on... and when you have so much going on in your life you forget about yourself...... I know i do that all the time and with me I kinda get that oh well whats one more cookie I already ruined it... I know bad attitude....Lets try to challenge our selfs this week with no... sugary stuff... no candy, no cookies ect.... if you have coffee or tea and us sugar try to use half of what you use now... I am bad when it comes to the sugary stuff I love sweet... big down fall for me.... so I will read all labels and not use sugar is anyone else with me... and just try to walk in place for five or ten minutes... it might not be a big workout but at least it gets the heart rate up and you do feel better after you do it... and make sure you drink your water that does help alot... ok... so there is my advice for the day...I hope it helps someone ... I am going to try it... I havent had trouble with the execise part... its the eating part as of lately... ok... new day ... new beginning... no beating yourself up.... have a great day... Jen~((hugs)) It is great that youare in school! Good luck with tthe babysitting at the Y. Carly take it one day at a time. Cut it out slowly, so you don't feel deprived. I can do pretty well, but the only thing I can't change is my coffee, it is still the same, but I have drastical;y cut back on how many cups. Used to be 7-14 cups a week, now it is down to 3 or 4 (sometimes less) cups a week. Chris~As always you are a superwoman! Don't forget to think about yourself! Doin good, but feeling a little cruddy with TOM. I am going to take it easy and sit and fold my laundry this morning, then make a quick run to the gym this afternoon. Hope fully will feel better tomorrow. ((hugs)) to all!! |
Hey Jen, what are you going to school for? That is soo cool. I didn't have the money for childcare either so that's why I'm doing my classes on line.
Ellen-I folded clothes today too....:D The laundry monster was here in a big way. Carly-I'm in with you on the challenge. Sugar is such a hard one for me. I'll give it a go. I could stand to get some of that sweet stuff out of my diet for a week..or permanently. Well, for the last week or so we have had this weird stench in our basement. Couldn't find it to save or lives. Today, hubby called me at work and said the mystery was solved. He had taken a bag of chicken breast out of the freezer and it thawed. Well the cats ripped the plastic open so it leaked all over our counter down in the laundry room. That was a week ago, so we had rotten chicken downstairs. EWWW! Kelly bleached everything really good and cleaned it all up. What a honey! That's my news for the day. Kind of gross, I know. Well I haven't checked in for a couple days but I would like to let you all know that I have been staying in my calorie limit. Drinking my water. But I haven't gotten too much exercise in thise week. ~chris |

Ok.... so I was doing really good yesterday.... exercised, had my breakfast a good one oatmeal and raisins... cleaned my house and worked which is hectic but yesterday seemed to go pretty well.... the i had a good lunch... sm piece of chicken breast, broccoli, a corn.... all in my life was going well so far... was drinking my water also... then about 3 I just had this eating attack... and could not stop... I really dont understand what is wrong with me when i do those things... I do believe i was a little hungry for a snack... but i just went to town.. so today is a new day and i will beginning again... i wish i could figure out how these women... make these lifestyle changes and never go backwards.. because that at this point is not me...but hey i am getting better... I think.... :o anyways, everyone seems to be doing very well... I hope you all have a wonderful day... God Bless CArly |
