Hi My gurlzz
Okay, so I've armed myself with the following
I forgot the kleenex which was probably the most important thing. The bathroom tissue is the next best thing cuz paper towels reek havoc on my little nose. :( Noelle- You are such a funny girl. I was actually triyng to avoid contact with my classmates because I don't want them to get sick. But it's impossible. There are so many common areas of contact; elevator buttons, water fountain, doors, hand-out sheets, the attendance sheet. Somebody is gonna get sick! you and your Harry Potter. Again, never seen any of the movies, never read a page of the books. So sorry I can't share your joy (yeah right  ) So you're going back to WW?! Good girl! You're already a fox and now you're gonna be a super fox!! Angie- :carrot: Work it girl!! I'm proud of you too. I know you can do it. Summer will be back before we know it. We should all strive to get into the best shape ever! I'll be on your case as much as possible because consitance is the key. J- Good idea on the food journal. I'm too lazy but today it would have been very easy. Breakfast= tea, lunch = tea, snack= dose of vicks 44 Dinner= pizza. Pretty good huh. I want a doggie too but I hardly have any time for myself. Hope you get one for the spring. BTW I found out hand sanitizer only lasts a few minutes before germmies can attack again. Hey Red, Kempy and Holly. Holla back whne yo get a minute. Ciao Ladies! |
Holy crap! Wher have I been. I finally get the puter back and I don't get on it. I guess I got used to not having it. I need to sit myself down here more often.
Hey Red, glad to see you back. It is alwasy nice to see a familiar name from the past. I don't have any new pics b/c Joe has the camera. The babies are getting huge. They see me know and come waddling over to play but they still can't walk very well. They are loud though. I think they found their voices and they are not afraid to use them. I will pos a new pic as soon as I can. I heve been really busy down here. We bought a piece of propery in north LA so we have been dealing with that loan. What a headache. I started selling Mary Kay and I am trying to get myself organized with that. My clients are still the same ones that I have had which is ok but I want more. Greedy, huh? I don't have time to do inidividual post plus I havn't had time to read them all. I know bad Kempy. I need to feed the dogs. They are jumping on the door to let me know they mean it. Chat later. |
I am feeling better now. I went back to school yesterday and the kids just kept coming to me and welcoming me back. They kept saying that they missed me and that the sub was mean. (She made them work) I told them that I would be sure to request her again if I'm ever out again.
Ashley is on a volleyball team now. They had their first game tonight. It's so cute to see the 7 and 8 year olds trying hard to play, but cringing when the ball comes for them. Her team lost, but they had a fun time playing. Members of her team were the only ones to return serves. The other team had better servers. Ashley just loves it. Hubby wants to get rid of our dog, but I won't let him. For some reason Tucker started digging again. I don't know why. He's only done it once so far, but I put some crushed red pepper in the area where he dug and I haven't seen any more signs of digging. He was digging near one of the sprinkler heads and we can't have him damaging those. I have grades to post so I can't do any personal posts. I hope everyone has a great evening. Cal |
Hey Cal, I'm glad Ashley has found a sport she enjoys. I can just picture the girls cringing and blocking their faces from the oncoming ball  . Volleyball is becoming quite a hot sport. HI has some really fanatical people rooting for our local University, and the high school girls are getting quite good too. Hmm, that's too bad about Tucker. Does he get to go out and walk to burn off his doggie energy? You know, this may sound really gross, but we did this and it really worked: bury the dogs own doggy-doo in the space he likes to dig. It has to be fresh and it has to be his. He will not want to dig there again. I apologize if this grosses anyone out but it has worked time and again for different dogs we've had. OK, end of that subject.
Hi Kempy, so is your property just for investment? Hey, maybe if you sell a lot of Mary Kay you can get a really nice pink automobile :). How are things at the salon? Dips, um, your food log today sounds a bit lacking of food? Does consuming Vicks 44 count toward your daily water intake? Hope you're back to feeling 100% real soon. Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence on my WW venture. I actually decided not to wait til tomorrow and found a meeting @ 12 noon today--so you guys heard it here first, I am now officially 'rejoined' at WW. Keep me accountable people, I'm gonna need occasional butt kickin' I'm sure. Well, gotta make sure my stinky boy gets a shower in tonight. Have a good night all and hope to see more posts tomorrow. |
AhhhChooo
Today I'm not feeling any better or any worse, still stuck wth this stupid cold. YUCK.
Noelle- I know my food journal was foodless but I have no appetite when I'm sick, especially with a cold because I can't taste anything. I couldn't even enjoy my pizza last night. This morning I'm back to tea and Vicks. I'll eat something solid here and there if I can force myself. Trust me though, I will be eating like mad once I'm well again. ( All good SB allowable food ofcourse) For now I am tea lady. Cal- Very funny about the sub. I remember those days. Nothing like an evil sub to remind you not to take your good teacher fpr granted. Glad you're feeling better though. Hi Angie, Kempy and J ttyl |
Good Morning girls!! Well I stayed totaslly on plan yesterday. :cheer: It felt good even though I was actually hungry by the time I went to bed.
Noelle, CONGRATS on getting back to ww. We can do this girl, remember how excited and good at it we used to be? I want those days back. Cal, I hope you can find a way to get the pup to stop digging so you dont have to give him away. My lawn is totally fenced just for the dogs so I just let them have at it. (But I can understand with the lawn sprinklers) Mine like to dig down to get to the cool dirt to cool off maybe that is what he is doing? You can buy a bed that is called a canine cooler(i think) that you fill with water and it stays cool for the dog to lay on. I could have given you mine while you were up here because Candi doesnt lay on it. It is good for their joints too. Good Luck. Dips, Get better girl! Kempy, What does the kitty think about all those wailing puppies? Is the property you bought up near your families camp? Well, My day is planned out like this: Breakfast: cereal and skim milk- Lunch: turkey sandwich with wow chips and carrot chips- supper: crispy chicken with baked potato w/Lf sour cream and brocoli Plus at least 30 minutes on the treadmill. Have a good day today girls!!! |
Hey can anyone recommend a good quality pedometer? I would like to buy one but I dont want to waste money on a junky one.
|
Hey girls. I have such an embarrassing story to tell you, I am sooooooo out of shape now!!!! we had to go to the grocery store for turkey sandwich meat so Jay says we should just walk down with the dogs. It is the same walk that I used to do 4 times a day when I was in shape. Very hilly area...roughly 2 miles. Well, I just about died doing it. Holy cow!!! I was so tired when we got home and I think both of my feet are going to blister up. BUT..... After I got home and done sweating and panting and such:lol:  I feel good(other than my feet which are killing me) This just shows me just how out of shape I am at this huge weight. It also makes me want to strive to get back to a healthy weight and lifestyle.
|
Hey guys. I was just searching the forum and noticed that they have the chatroom back on here. We should all set up a time some night to have a live chat with each other.
|
Hey girls, happy Wednesday. Woo-Hoo Angie, you're doing it!!! YEAH I remember being in the groove and dropping weight and feeling good about it. WE CAN DO IT :carrot: . I have to give you props on walking that hill. We went walking our dogs last night too but I didn't even attempt doing my 'regular' route. I did a modified version which is probably only 1/3 of the way. Since I fell off that chair a month or so ago, my left knee has been feeling like it wants to pop off to one side, then my right hip where I actually fell on kinda gets weak. I think I'll be doing that hill within the next week though. Where's my glucosamine pills...oh I forgot, they make me fart :o
Even though I had a bad breakfast (a grande latte w/a maple scone) yesterday, I counted up my points and wrote it in my food log. Those two alone ate up almost half my daily allowance--and I wondered why I kept gaining. I'm staying away from my beloved Starbucks, at least their pastries and stuff. I can always have their mucho-caffienated coffee :cb:. Dips :grouphug: there ya go, you sound like you need a hug. :coach: Hey Julie.... Hello to everyone else, gotta get busy. I've got a new guy on the road again. Where's my bullwhip??? |
:carrot: Go Noelle!! I am feeling great things about all of us putting all we have into being healthy! Even though you took a modified route you took a walk. That is great! :lol3: About the pills.
Angie :bravo: on the walk! It was hard but it will get easier with time. Once again you meal plan sounds good. I don't think I ate enough today because I am kind of hungry now. I think I will have a piece of fruit if anything. I don't know what kind of pedometer is a good one. I think Cherie has one though? I would love to wear one around the house just to see how much I am moving around during the day. Dips GET WELL SOON :) keep drinking your tea, I swear by tea too when I am sick. Cal cool about Ashley in volleyball. I hope you don't get rid of the dog. Have a great day. I got in about 20 minutes of cardio and 80 leg lifts. I didn't realize my legs were so heavy, LOL. I didn't go outside for a walk because the wind gusts here are so strong. Dd would have been way to cold. I think for dinner tonight will be haddock and baked sweet potatoes. Well I have to go get ready to pick up ds. Bye for now.....Hi everyone |
Where did this day go? I have been running the roads all day and I am tired. But, the puppies need me. Ahhh, to be loved.
The land is right down the road form our family camp and we are going to build on it in about 3 years. We are going to make it nice tough so I will want to go. It might even turn into a retirement home for us. Joe is really excited about it. He is heading up there this weekend since it is first day of the season but I am sure he will be checking out the land too. Noelle I am just looking to make some extra cash. The car really isn't on my list of things to get from Mary Kay. I mean if it takes off then good for me but I am kind of a laid back person so this is going to be a test for me. I think I am going to ahve to come out of my shell with this. That is actually scaring me a little. Dips I hope you feel better soon. Everyone down here has the Katrina cough. I think it from all of the crap stired up in the air. I know a few days after the storm I got really sick. Thankfully our power had come back on. It would have been miserable having a fever with it being so hot. Take care of yourself. Agnie I am so proud of you for getting back into the swing. It may only be one day but I having even done good for a few hours. I am trying to fix that though. I am having Thankgiving here and I need to make a list for people to bring stuff. I have no idea what to tell people to bring. What do you guys usally have for dinner. Maybe I can pull some of your stuff. |
okay today went down without a hitch. :cheer: YEAH!!! I didnt overeat, got lots of water and an awesome workout. YEAH for me!!!!! I even have all of next weeks meals figured out so I think I can keep this up.
Noelle, You are so funny!!!  Candi gets glucosamine pills for her knee too. YEAH for you too!!! :cheer: Get Those walks in girl and we will feel better in no time at all!!!! Julie, That is what I wanted a pedometer for too. It may even get me up to do laps around the house at the end of the day if needed. Kempy, wow, I am happy for you guys to have a weekend retreat. I bet Jope will love it for hunting too....plus you wont be so crowded on your holidays, huh? Sounds great!! For Thanksgiving here I just do a turkey with Bell's stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. For my dessert we have pudding pie and pumpkin parfaits. Oh yeah I cant forget the cranberry sludge(canned cranberry sauce stuff) That Jay and the kids cant get enough of. GROSS!!!! So what is everyone asking for for Christmas this year? I am asking for an ipod nano. I have spent so much money on itunes I might as well have the ipod to put them in for walking and working out....plus maybe it will keep me motivated. I bought Jay some chrome flame taillight covers for the truck because all the other accessories are flame and I am getting him some Valomilk candies(he wants them) and a socket set. I wanted to buy him some trucknutz but he doesnt like them  I think they are funny. :rofl:http://www.pickupspecialties.com/Bul..._trucknutz.htm |
Angie, I saw those trucknutz, they were HILARIOUS!!! If it were me, I would've just ordered them and put them on the truck without telling, you think he'd notice? Hmmm, you just gave me an idea for what to do for Rick
Good night ladies, I just thought I'd throw that in before I go to bed. More tomorrow! |
Good Morning girls!! I just got some Christmas shopping doen for Corey online. I love shopping online then I dont have to go hunting everywhere plus he saved the websight for me with a Christmas list. I already thought of something for all of you so I hope you like it.
Noelle, You are so funny.  I think I may at least get some or the keychain for my sis. She will LOVE them. Well my plan for today is Breakfast: cereal and skim milk- Lunch: turkey sandwich with wow chips and some more carrots- supper: shepherds pie with green beans I am not sure how to get my workout in today though because my calves are SOOOOO sore. I will try to do something though. I stepped on the scales today and 2 pounds have vacated so I will keep my fingers crossed that they stay off for my official weigh in on Saturday. |
Okay I just did half the walk I did yesterday so that is something. :carrot: I will make it a point to do at least 15 minutes on my treadmill after work too.
I forgot to tell you guys but it snowed here again last night. Just a couple inches . |
Good job Angie. You are moving right along. We see those trucknuts all over the place here. We are kind of in the country.
I have been with my sister all day working on Mary Kay stuff. Our director came down and she took us to a few places with some roses for women. We did a working womans apperciation day. They all loved it. That may ge us a few clients. I had asked all of the girls at work to come to my open house for Mary Kay tonight. Well, I went to the salon to get a few things for tonight and they were all like, I hope I can make it. Well, that just sent me over the edge. I am very PMSy right now and I just couldn't take that. I just started to get myself REALLY into this and they start with that. I called my sister when I got home and just started to cry. I had no control. I am so upset. I mean my sis has about 15 or 20 people coming and I will be lucky to have my MIL show up. I don't know why I am letting this get to me so much. I was thinking I would just kind of do this on the side but today I saw how easy it was to get clients and it changed my mind. Well, now my feelings are hurt and by the people that I work with. I guess I just don't get it. Sorry to be a downer. I need to get myself together for tonight so I will chat tomorrow. |
Good morning girls, I went out to dinner last night w/a cousin visiting from out of state. It was a restaurant that didn't really have a lite menu but I chose what I thought was the least evil, I had seared scallops (4) with enoki mushrooms and asparagus in a cream sauce (bad). It even had a few pieces of a potato gnocchi which I have never had. It was a weird green color and rather bland but I tasted it anyway. I didn't eat the whole thing so I think I did alright. And I made sure to park as far away as I could so i could at least get a little walking in. I'm supposed to be taking my best girlfriend out to lunch for her birthday today. I'm leaning toward sushi or maybe Vietnamese food since they're usually lite and low in cals. I have got to get out walking today to make up for yesterday. I don't wanna show a gain next week at my first weigh-in, that would be terrible!
Angie, you got it going on girl. Planning is key!!! I had a big long post last night but I hit the "back" button and it got fried... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the good vibes running through here. Just in time for us to get smaller through the holidays instead of bigger, eh? So what did Corey ask for for Xmas? I always get stumped when shopping for my teenage niece and nephew--they are greedy and usually just want money. We got Michael a Nintendo DS Dogs edition and a few other games. We let him pick out a few games with the idea that they were for his cousin, but they're really for him--he'll be so stoked. Julie, you go girl :strong: Stay safe and warm out there, we don't want to wind to blow you away! Have you guys planned on having turkey day with just your immediate family or do you have to do the run around and visit with everyone and eat 3X kind of thing? Kempy, I had a nice long post yesterday about what we usually have for thanksgiving...it made me start to get hungry but here are some of the things I would ask people to bring: desserts (pumpkin pie, custard pie, whatever kind of pie), or maybe a side dish (gravy and mashed potatoes or stuffing) or veggie platter (that's always a safe healthy bet). Our family for some reason, always has a side of Chinese crispy gau gee and some Filipino lumpia--two things that I will not be eating this year. We are going to make a sausage stuffing with Aidells garlic and artichoke sausage. :T Dips, how are ya feeling today? Cherie, hope you're doing well. Come back when you can. Here's a shout out to Holly, Cal and Red and anyone else I may have missed. I gotta run, be back later though. |
Heh, people. Sorry to have posted and then disappeared. I've just been and still am WAY TOO busy. Up now early and have to try to get a story written before going to another job. :stress: I try to read your posts when I can. Seems like there are strange lulls in the posting (which is when I decided to come back) and then WHAM!! you get a deluge of posts and it's impossible to keep up unless you make it a fulltime job.
I'm glad to hear some of you are getting serious about the weight loss. Noelle is rockin'!! :strong: I am trying, just find it so frustrating to not be able to do any exercise when I really, really want to and then when I do have time, I'm most likely to have lost the motivation because I feel so frustrated in my actions. Oh well....keep on keeping on.....gotta think of that Hong Kong trip.... :sunny: |
Kempy, Florida is where we fist saw a set of Truck Nutz. A guy at the campground had them. Maybe it is a southern thing because I have never seen them up here yet. I remembered the name and looked them up when we got home. I live in the country too. Cal can vouch for how far in the woods I am. I dont think I could live in a city though...I am a chickensh!t. hehe Good Luck with your open house tonight. If I lived by you I would be there for sure.
Noelle, I have had the kids pick out things like that before too. It is easier than trying to ask around to see what they would like and then getting the wrong thing. Cherie, How ya doing hon? We are here for you no matter what. If you need to talk we are all here to support you. {{{Cherie}}} Dips, How is that cold coming? I hope it is leaving and you are starting to feel better. Well, I dont have much going on tonight just gonna watch Survivor. Hey did anyone catch Trading Spouses last night? What a nutjob that woman was. Notice in the end she took the money. haha I thought she was going to kill her family when she got home. They looked scared while she was going off. WOW is all I can say.  |
Hi girls, whew it took me awhile to read all the posts!
Angie, I just showed dh the nutz, LOL....I have never saw those before. Shepards pie, mmmm sounds so good. We had steaks and twice baked potatoes tonight. I tried to go light on the cheese but you know me I love cheese on everything. Less is better I guess. Oh my god! I couldn't believe that lady last night. I was scared for her kids and husband. I had to laugh my butt off when she was kicking everyone out and the camera girl look so scared. Noelle I hope you had a fun time with your girlfriend at lunch today. I am sure you will do just wonderful at your weigh in. Btw I was watching Dog last night and it looks like Beth has lost some weight. She is so cool, I just love her. I think we will have an early Thanksgiving dinner next week because my brother is coming in. And on Thanksgiving Day will have another one. At least they are spread out though. I can't wait to eat pumpkin pie! Kempy I wish I could come on down for your party. Sorry about the co-workers. I hope you get a good number of people. Dips hope your cold is getting better. Stay warm! Today I was at ds's school today. I felt so bad he cried when I left :(. He loves his mom :). I am going to start helping out in the class here and there. Other than that call me weird but I am liking writing down the food I eat. It is making me feel responsible for what goes into my mouth. So far this week not one bowl of ice cream after dinner :carrot:. And I have my favorite mint chocolate chip in the freezer. I have really got to start getting some lists made for my family members for christmas, I am such a last minute shopper. Gotta scoot dh wants the computer! Check back soon. Bye sweethearts! Hug for Cherie. Hi to Cal, Holly and Red! |
Hey again. I just got home and onto the computer. I just saw something weird--my last post was 10 minutes after Kempy's, but her post just did not show up on my work computer. I noticed you guys were responding to her but i didn't quite follow...now I know why. Kempy, I feel like such a clod. I'm sorry about your co-workers too. I know the feeling, the same thing used to happen to me with my PartyLite candle parties. Everybody would be gung-ho when you're with them but when the actual day came around, maybe one or two would show. Maybe you can at least get them to buy stuff off a catalog if they can't make it to the party? That way you would still make the sale? I would come over too. I would love to learn how to put on makeup properly! :grouphug: Knock 'em dead!
Hi Red...yeah, the posts come and go in waves. So you're heading to Hong Kong soon? I've never been there but I know you can buy a lot of cool stuff there, like Korea and Thailand. My sis and mom did a tour of China and HK a while ago and they came back with tons of bargains. |
Julie, awww your sweet little boy.
Hey, you're not weird for enjoying writing down your food intake--at least it's a healthy thing to do and if it empowers you, then great! It's a major thing when you can resist ice cream in the freezer, esp. if it's one of your fav flavors. Bravo! |
Thanks Noelle.
I am watching Paula Dean's Thanksgiving. That woman is so awesome. I would love to spend a day with her. She is so bubbly I think I would be bouncing off the walls. Okay time to get ready for bed soon. Have a great Friday tomorrow! :) GoodNight |
Good Morning girls! I guess I have been PMSing all week and I still managed to get back on track. That feels good.
Julie, I love watching Paula Dean too. She makes food like I like to cook. Loaded with fat and love. I love the food channel at Thanksgiving and Christmas time....they make so many nice things.Wow, You rock...I couldnt resist anything good too eat in the house right now. You go girl! Noelle, My computer only gives me half the notices when someone posts. That is so annoying. My plan for today is the same as yesterday. I plan to have left over shepherds pie for supper tonight. I gotta go grocery shopping but will check back later |
It is so nice to come back here and see everyone back on track and really working again! Like Noelle said in an earlier post, the energy on here is just amazing. Well, I am hoping to add to that.
Things have been so busy since coming back from the cruise. The girls have had something going on every single night, gymastics, brownies, daisies, parent teacher conferences and I was having a very rough time with some feelings I was having with Alan. I was almost ready to walk away from the relationship, but I think we are back at a truce right now. He will stay in my life, but this week, I have made some major commitments and set some major goals for myself. Instead of focusing on him, I am switching everything to focus on my girls and their activites and on me. You are going to think I am crazy.... Insane... I know I am.. but this week, I committed and registered to run in the Little Rock Marathon, doing the half Marathon with my friend Tim. He is a lawyer in Arkansas that I've been friends with forever. The most I have ever ran straight was 7 miles, and that was before I got pregnant with Megan. So, it's been awhile. However, I have gotten excited about it, and I have been on my treadmill for the past three nights. I have downloaded a Novice's guide for Training for a Half Marathon, so I am going to work with that and just do it! In addition to all that.. I went and joined the YMCA this week too. That way, I will have a place to do my strength training and my crosstraining, and they have a track so I can run someplace other than my treadmill. Since I've gotten back from the cruise, I have lost 4 pounds. I'm not going to concentrate so much on my diet and trying to lose weight, rather I am going to concentrate on my training and making healthy choices of food and let the weight just come off on it's own. I am doing this because I got so wrapped up with my relationship with Alan... and some other stuff that I just started using it as excuses not to eat healthy or to exercise. What a week can make in attitude. :-) Hannah's Birthday was a week ago today, so she is now 8 years old. She had a great weekend last weekend, and I took pictures of them on Halloween and last weekend since I missed their official school photos. I just can't believe they are growing up so fast. OK... I better get back to work.. or pretend to work. I am actually making out a calendar for the next month for when I can hit the Y between the girls activities and day care. I just want to say to everyone.. thank you so much for being here for me. Its been a tough year. I am thankful for each of you. And I am SOOO excited there is so much posititve energy going on here regarding our health!!! YEAH!!! OK.. I'll check in later! Cherie |
Hey Cherie, It is great to see your spirits are lifted. I have been thinking of you. Wow, a marathon? You rock!! I think it is a great way to get into better shape and do something you love at the same time. Good for you. Tell Hanna I said Happy Birthday! I hope she got everything she wanted and had a blast. And yes they do grow up so quick. Me and Jay were talking about that last night. I said we will be able to enjoy the grandkids (when we have them. )more because now we know how fast it flies by and not to waste it.
I went grocery shopping today and I bought LOTS of veggies and fruits and all healthy stuff. We have some great meals planned out for the week. My legs hurt so bad so I am not sure I can even do the treadmill today. I wished they would loosen up a bit. |
Hello, everyone. 4:30 a.m. here and I'm running late already. :stress: Glad to see everyone is sounding up and energetic. photogirl, hello. Good luck on the marathon. At first you scared me when I read your post and I thought it said you were running this week! But I read it again and saw you had decided this week! :lol3: mele, yeah, HK for the races. I think the shopping was good when it was still U.K-governed but since reverting to China, not so. I will probably have to work so it's not really a vacation. I just do it for the great hotel and a bit of a break. I love taking the ferry across the harbor, especially that time of year when all the buildings have Christmas lights in them. Beats Japan. angie, you always mention TV programs and I don't know any of them. I am culturally (U.S) ******ed! jbbm, Kempy, hello! Well, gotta run! Thought something was better than nothing. Take care all. Ciao!! :sunny:
|
Hey girls I just ordered your Christmas gifts and I think they may get to you all early so I wanted to give you the heads up. I hope you all like them and I thought it would be good for us.
|
Hi girls just popping on for a second. Both my kids woke up this morning with pinkeye, my ds couldn't hardly even open his eyes! So he stayed home from school and I called the doctor and got eye drops from the pharmacy. I have never had pinkeye before and it is bad. I can't hardly keep my dd from rubbing her eyes. I guess a girl in my son's class had it earlier in the week. Ugh!!!!! Oh well its life
Cherie, it is so nice to see you back. I love the idea you are not trying to lose weight or diet, just get healthy. The pounds will come off that way. I don't think you are crazy about the marathon, I think it is awesome. What a great goal. Angie good job staying on track with pms. My pms comes next week but I think I am feeling the effects all ready....I better just keep my focus. I will keep my eye out. Red you are up bright and early. Have a great day. Hi Noelle, Kempy, Cal, Dips and Holly. |
Oh Julie I have had pink eye before and it sucks. Poor little babies. I hope the drops make it go away quickly for them. It feels like you have insulation on your eyeball and it just itches and burns. You have just begun the fun of childhood germs huh? My kids have had it a couple of times when they were small. I never caught it when they had it but I did get it when I was 21. I put tea bags on my eyes to help soothe them.
|
Julie.. I'm sorry about your kiddos. How awful. I hope they fill better soon, and that you and your hubby stay healthy.
Red.. good to see you again. I haven't done the 21 day challenge in a while. I hope you have a nice trip to HK... my company is based out of Japan. Weathernews. Office is in Tokyo. One of these days, I would love to go over there to visit. Angie.. just do some stretching. Before and after your treadmill work. It will really help. I can find some examples if you need them. Well, one more hour and then I can leave this place for the weekend. I am ready. It's been a really long week, and I am hoping to have a fun weekend, and get in some good workouts. Hi Noelle, Kempy, Dips, Cal and Holly..... It really feels good to be back :-) Cherie |
Hi people. Just jumping in here at work. jbbm, yes, early is me! Got to ride my horse, then in to work. Busy, busy. Cherie, you're sounding good. Glad to hear that. Weathernews..hmm..sounds familiar, we may use it here at the paper. I'll look into it. You really should come over sometime. I would show you around. Been here 23 years now! angie, you really mustn't get me anything!!! Dips, how's the cold? I hope you're feeling better. I tend to use the total immersion method. I try to come in contact with anything and everything. You know, if it doesn't kill you it'll make you stronger. I'm not dead yet. :lol3: Hello to all others! :sunny:

Woo-Hoo girls :carrot: I just got back from my walk and I conquered that hill :goodvibes:. I'm resting my legs now and just relaxing, trying to decide what dinner will be. I did a little shopping today and found some cool deals on Xmas stuff like gift boxes (which my house never seems to have enough of) and gift tags. OOh, and I bought a new digital scale. The one I bought a couple of years back just up and disappeared--i was so pissed. Even when I thought I gave up and didn't diet I would still weigh myself twice a month or so just to keep me in check. This scale is nothing fancy and can keep the history of 2 people and will tell you how much you have lost or gained since the last time you stepped on....this could either be a major pain or a godsend.
Cherie, good for you! :strong: Little Rock as in AR? That's where I was born :p You're not crazy, you're WOMAN and you can do whatever you set your mind to. I love your frame of mind--take care of you and your girls and the rest is just icing on the cake. Julie, pink eye is terrible, such a goopy mess when you have to put those drops or ointment in. Michael had it once and I caught it once while in Vegas, it was itchy and my eye turned all red. I had to throw away all my makeup and not wear contacts for over a week. :( I hope for their speedy recovery and for you or DH not to catch it :crossed: Angie, you are so sweet and so prepared for Xmas already. I'm still trying to figure out what I can pick up for you guys. I always try to get something with a little island feel to it without resorting to food. I gotta go put my elf hat on. Hi Red, it's cool to see you pop on even with your busy schedule. :) Kempy, how'd your MK open house do? I hope you got a lot of business. Cal, any plans for the weekend? Well it's raining now and I still have to go have dinner before it gets too late. Have a good night all, chat tomorrow! |
I am finally getting some rest. This is a long weekend for me as there was no school yesterday. One of the teachers said that we were given 2 Saturdays this week. :D I'm just working on organizing my lesson plans and then I'll be done with them for the rest of the quarter!! :carrot: It's great teaching the same subject and grade every year; I'm starting to be a little more organized by just reusing my plans and just modifying them for each new class.
Julie: I've never had pink eye and neither has Ashley (hope she doesn't get it :crossed: ) I hope your little ones get better soon. Cherie: A marathon. That's great. I'm lucky if I find the time and energy to walk Tucker every evening. I try to walk for 30 minutes every night. Sometimes it's hard because I'm so wiped out by the time I get home. Noelle: Congrats on conquering that hill. :bravo: We got a little rain yesterday, but mostly it was sunny and almost cold. The high got up to about 75 and actually I don't think it got that high. Angie: I have something for you as well. I will be sending everything out in a couple of weeks. My legs feel great when I go walking, it's my hip that gives me problems. In fact, yesterday I had an MRI to try to find out what it going on. I love walking though. It's one of the things I really enjoy about going to Europe; it's so easy to walk and not even think about it being exercise. Dips: Hope you're feeling better. Stay warm. We're thinking of you. Red: Are you in Tokyo? Our school has a sister school in Japan and 8 7th graders from our district went last year for 2 weeks on an exchange program. We were really excited because 6 of those kids were from our school. Kempy: Hope everything went well for your party. I love going to stuff like that; it's one of the few times I actually get to be around adults. Of course, my husband doesn't like it when I go because I always buy something. Have a great weekend everyone. cal -- yeah, I'm in Tokyo. What school are your students at?

Good Morning girls!!! Well , I picked Saturday as my official weigh in and I am down 5 pounds!!!! :cheer: YEAH!!! Gotta love the first week of weight loss...it is so encouraging.
I think I will do a Christmas challenge for myself of a 15 pound weightloss goal so this week gives me only 10 more to go. That will leave me a week for not so good loss for Thanksgiving without beating myself up about it. But I do plan to stay right on track for Thanksgiving since I have to work on that day I should be able to do it. Noelle,AWESOME !!!!! You did great on your walk I am so impressed!!!! GREAT JOB!!! You would be so proud of me, I did all healthy gifts for us this year. After I had ordered I thought that pedometers would have been good so we could track our steps together but too late. Maybe next year I will do that. Kempy, I hope your party turned out great! Have a fun weekend girl. Cal, My kids have school this week and then ANOTHER week off!! They had a week off in October. Geesh, I want to be a kid again since they are never in school. How did the 75 feel on your skin? I bet it felt really cold considering your normal temp, huh? Julie, How are the kiddos eyes this morning? I hope they are feeling better. Red, How are you today? Well, Girls have a GREAT WEEKEND!! |
Hey guys. All of you seem to be really getting back into the groove. Maybe i need to get my butt on here more often. I have been in a major funk since the storm and I can't seem to get out of it. Well, the party was bad as far as my people go. My sister had 12 and I had 3. I was so pissed at my friends. I didn't even care if they bought anything I just wanted them there to support me. Then yesterday at work I just couldn't even talk to them. I went in for my clients and left. They wanted me to go eat with them but I told them that I didn't feel very well. I think by Monday I will be a little better with the whole thing.
Julie I have never even been around someone with pink eye. I couldn't tell you anything to do about it but I hope they feel better. I used to write down what I eat and it really helped. Maybe I should get back to that. Cal when do you guys get off for Thanksgiving? Kids down here have so much to make up they are thinking about only having Thursday and Friday off. Usually they have the whole week. I even think they are going to cute down on the Christmas holiday. Man, I am glad that I am not still in school. Red I can't beleive you have been there for 23 years. What was it that made you head over there in the first place? Noelle one of my cleints is heading over your way next weekend. I am so jealous. I was thinking I would put myself in her luggage. Do you think they would notice? Anige you rock girl! I relaly need to get moving again and maybe chatting with you will help me do just that. I just feel BLAH! Well, I am heading to my SIL's for some Mary Kay stuff in a few minutes so I will check back in tomorrow. |
I just wanted to post a little tonight. Ashley has a cold and has been wanting to be held all day. She doesn't have a fever; just wants Mommy.
Angie: Yeah, 75 is pretty cool for me, but comfortable. We have Thanksgiving Day off and the day after...that's when I enjoy going shopping. I don't need to, but I love the atmosphere and spending the time with my sisters and SIL. Kempy: We've always got only the two days for Thanksgiving. My sister had a week last year, but the teachers voted for the two days so they can get out a little earlier in June. Red: My school is Desert Star Elementary in Avondale School District. I still can't remember the name of the city where our sister school is located. I'll probably have to wait and ask someone on Monday. Hello to everyone else. Cal |
Hello My Gurlz!!
Just got back from grocery shopping. Looks like things are really poppin' in here!
Angie- I am so proud of you :cheer: You are so determined. Keep it up. You have everyone else in here motivated!!! Cherie- Speaking of motivation! A marathon?!! You go girl. I fugured if I add all the miles I ran in the army I have quite a few marathons under my belt  so I'm good. But what an accomplishment that would be. I wish I could be at the finish line to cheer for you. Hmmm there's an idea... J- Your poor babies. I never had pink eye, but from what I heard, it's definately no picnic. Hope they feel better soon Red- What's going on. I can relate to your feeling out of touch with american culture. My entire tour was overseas. Don't worry though, we'll keep you hip ;) Noelle- Isn't it sooo tempting to eat things you shouldn't when out with your buddies. I know the feeling. You'll do fine on your weigh in. Don't sweat it. Remember, you did the hill, Girl!! :carrot: I don't know about slimming down over the holidays. I actually plan to gorge on mom's food. After that though it's back to business. CAl- I see your girl caught the bug too. It's that time of year. Pumpe her full of robitussin and she should be fine :) Kempy- I know the hurricane threw you off your routine, totally understandable. Too bad about the mary kay thing. Don't let it stress ya too bad. I'm feeling a lot better today. My cold is clearing up quite well. I'm about to cook dinner but there is something in my stove that's burning, maybe greece but I don't know. I gotta take care of it. TTYL |
