Sorry to hear that Jane. Really don't think Vegas is any hotter than anywhere else in June though. I've been in May, June and August and it's not so bad. Besides, you're indoors most of the time. So...is anyone else still going? I'm still going as it stands today, haven't cancelled my reservations but if no one else is going then I may change my plans.

I would be ok with Oregon if it allows Katy & Marti to be able to attend and if it is ok with Cristi & Angie????? It is cool and we can meet at the coast or something??? oooooo - Newport or something. Just a thought.

I'm ok with Oregon, too. Cristi already came up with that idea, but I just thought some of the others were really counting on Vegas. Would Newport be a good idea, ladies? I'm not familiar with any of the state. If we stay in Portland, it wouldn't cost the local JLs any money for hotels, etc.

Another thought - maybe we could go to Calgary and see one of Angie's shows? But would she still have time to do my eyebrows? :D

Newport is a nice coastal town. It is where Keiko lived......ummm, their claim to fame. Actually Keiko isn't there anymore and he has since expired. Nothing to do with Newport - ha
Anyway, I was picking down the coast because it is closer to Marti & Katy so they can come.
Meeting JL's is my main thought and location second. So, maybe some others can kick in their thoughts and come up with something.

Meeting you all is my main objective, too. Location is secondary. If you all still want Vegas, I can still go. I shouldn't have assumed Susan was unable to go just because she's going to Hawaii. Cristi had said she'd probably be visiting her son instead, which is exactly what I'd do in her case. Katy, Marti, MaryKate, Sue, and the others weren't planning to go, and Angie said she and her husband had already done Vegas enough, but was willing to go, though. Neal and I really don't want to do Vegas at the end of June but agreed to it since all the rest wanted Vegas. I just thought that since it was down to about 3 or 4 of us at the most, maybe we could go somewhere cooler. Sue lives there for a good portion of the year, and says it's unbearable. Had I known that at the time, I would never have agreed to go there at the end of June. For the record, I won't be spending all my time inside the hotel. I'll want to go out and see the sights.

So I'm really sorry I assumed some of you would not be able to be there. I'll call the hotel this week and get my reservations back. See you all there - Susan, Cristi, Angie, and the rest. :hug:

Well...I have already cancelled Vegas thinking no one was going! :yikes: As far as me going to Hawaii, probably not going to happen and it wouldn't be in June anyway. Josh has too much going on and in May ??? possibly sooner will be headed to CA for some training. Then is off to Iraq in August so...June is still good for me to go wherever you ladies plan (except Disneyland!), I have those dates/that week scheduled for vacation, without V. Of course I didn't realize that Angie and Monte weren't crazy about going to Vegas, as well as Jane and Neal going in June. Of course I too thought it was only going to be us ladies and not the hubby's though. Now, will the hubby's still be going if it is Portland? Anyway, I'll keep checking back to see what everyone else has come up with. I really don't mind Portland if that's what everyone wants to do. It is about meeting up with you ladies after all.

Actually Jane, The months of July and Aug. are the ones we don't think we could live out here. Here is a chart of temps. It is messy, but I don't know how to change it. Hope you can make it out.....(and remember, it's a dry heat, none of that Indiana humidity)
