I have been staying on Low Carb and doing well. I just forget to drink my water. I don't like water and I find it hard to make myself drink enough. Maybe should try sugar free jello shooters that everyone was talking about!

Hello from the lurker..

I am alive and well. Still having trouble with my Dad passing, but each day gets better.

Wow... tummy tuck & boob job. wonderful Dee. I need an all over job!!! LOL

I am going under the knife though. Next week I am having ankle replacement surgery for my left ankle. If all goes well, next year I will have the right one done. I am very apprehensive, but if I don't do this now, I will be in a wheelchair before long.

Gayle: My thoughts and prayers are with Liz today. Also, I am glad to hear that your Mom is doing well. She is lucky to have such a wonderful daughter as you!!

Janice: Sounds like your doing a great job staying OP. Keep up the good work. Congrats on the new vehicle!!! Isn't it great!!

Sherry: Walking... I dream of being able to walk again... Don't get too overheated though... this humidity and heat are awful!! How is your MIL? Your a great daughter-in-law to take her to her appointments!

Shelley: I am glad you are finally able to get a new vehicle. You have been having problems for some time with that old one. Enjoy!!!

Ramona: How is Dan today? He must feel pretty bad. Our children are always our babies....no matter how old they get!!! BTW... I live month to month.. I only get paid once a month.. now that gets rough some times!! With my surgery I have to be off work 4 weeks, so it will really be hard to get by without that income. Hang in there girl!!

I have to go for now, but will try to do more than lurk in the future.

I've been lazy today because I have to work tonight. I layed out in the pool for awhile. I'm working the "Weezer" concert tonight. Rap is NOT my thing so it doesn't excited me! :lol:

Ramona how is Dan feeling? Has he improved a little? You know that he is in my prayers too. No wonder that I can't get out of bed for long, my prayers are keeping me in bed.

Shelley your car sounds really nice. We drive a 94 Interepid. It is fully loaded but old. We maybe getting another one through Larry's work. He is going to ask for a car allowance.

Gotta run and make myself pretty for our dinner out with friends.

Dan is feeling a little better today. I guess the Doxycyline is starting to work. Thank you all for you prayers and your concern. I had to leave work yesterday because I was feeling so much worse. I came home and slept for 8 hours, woke up, took more medicine and slept 6 more hours. I do feel better today, but I can still hardly talk and still have a bad cough. The only good thing is that I've lost 6 pounds. I can't taste a thing, so I haven't wanted to eat!

Carol and Dee, good luck with your surgeries. Gayle, I hope Liz did well and I hope your air conditioning is working!

Shelley and Janice, congrats on the new cars! I just paid mine off in May and now it is beginning to fall apart. Doesn't that just figure!?

Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I am back home with our "little zombie" She is on a heavy duty narcotic for the pain plus antibiotics and some type of topical throat gel. Basically she wakes up every so often, nibbles on an ice chip or two, then falls back to sleep for another hour. The pain med is prescribed for every 3-4 hours, I am going to keep giving it to her for the next few days every 3 hours. She did really well through all of it until she found out she would have a tube in her throat and would be on a respirator for awhile. They gave her something to relax her about 20 minutes before surgery, so by the time they wheeled her out, she was feeeeeellllliiinnnngggg goooooood! I told her you guys were thinking of her and she said thank you very much, she appreciates the kind gesture.

Carol, keep us updated with your surgery...will you be taking therapy? I know it will hurt, but hopefully in the long run this will give you some peace.

Ramona, I'm glad to hear Dan is better today. YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF GIRLIE! Go see the doctor again and tell him you can't seem to get over this nasty stuff. LOVE YOU!

Shelley, I am so excited for you, I just know you will LOVE your new car! Yes, I thought of Mike when I had A/C problems! it is just so hot here, 103 today~~ our unit isn't big enough for our house since we have no shade trees around. It has ran continuous today, it is almost 10:00 here tonight and it is still going. I have a few fans running along with the ceiling fans trying to move the air around.

Well, better go check on zombie girl again.

Carol-What is involved in an ankle replacement? It sounds very complicated. I am so sorry that you have to go through it. Just think, when you're done with both maybe you will be able to start your walking again.

I am glad that you told her. By the way I still have my angel sitting in front of my monitor. She brings a smile to my face all the time. I think of you when I see her.

Carol sorry that I didn't mention your surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are able to walk without pain.

Ramona it is good to hear that Dan is doing better. Now you need to get some rest and take care of yourself.

Sherry how did you make out at the concert last night? I bet you that you are beat! Spend a few of those hard earn dollars on yourself.

Dinner was fabulous last night. We had bbq ribs, ceasar salad, pasta salad, hot bread and my friends most famous apple pie. (how about it.....I had all the calories accounted for and am not even in the red)We had a wonderful time. We were so full that we went out for a 5 mile walk afterwards. This girlfriend of mine is one of the girls I walked with. Sad part about it is my friends are all working now so I have no one to walk with in the morning.

This weekend is going to busy. Tonight we are going to the country to visit our god child for his first birthday. After that we are going to mom and dad's for a visit. My 16 year old niece is still here. Her family went home on thursday. They are letting her fly home by herself on sunday.
Saturday we are having friends over for a steak bbq and swim.
Sunday we are going to the beach and then Dez is having us over for dinner.
I better swim lots so I don't put on any weight.

Vickster, take care, I remember the fall because that is when your family made a horrible comment to you about your weight. I hope your feeling better now and please do remember you are a special person, in control of your life and no one is going to get you down by controlling you with hurtful comments.

Sorry for not posting much and I promise girls, I will be back at the exercise thread soon. Liz hurt pretty bad yesterday, I hope today is better. Even without a clock around, there is a 15 minute range when she starts asking for her meds because the pain is really starting in. I'm dreading today, it seems like day 3 with most anything is the worse. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon!

I hope life is treating everyone well! We are still having A/C problems...idiots can't just come fix the problem, they come out, change a wire, then go away...1 hour later it's blowing hot air again. I think we have a compresser problem or we need charged, but of course they never want to hear what a woman is saying. LOL! Going to be 104 here today!

Gayle that is hot. I really hope that you get the air fixed. I hope that day three for Liz will be better than you expected.
