Kerry- we crossed posts........glad you got some time in for yourself. And congrats on Dh using his head and turning down the baseball tournament. (oh, I understand Dh's and the darned sports thing!) Glad he has been more sensitive to your needs- you have been deserving of that for a long time. Bet you can't wait for those 2 weeks off!!! Hang in there.

ECmom 08-04-2005 08:34 AM

Well, for today so far so good. I slept in (till Dh got up at 5:15)......and have had a bit of a laid back morning. Did do my WW tape, it is just too darned hot and humid for a walk. Can't say I was really inspired to walk or work out, but I know I have to. And at least the tape gives me an extra activity point over my normal walk, and works some of my flabby muscles. Now I have to go get my WW card, which is 10 feet up in the air. Yesterday I left the van at the mechanics for its summer "prevacation check up" and he was not able to finish it.......so he left it on the lift......and in the drivers side door is my WW card. I am going to feel like such a moron asking him to bring the van down just for that....oh well, he knows I am a bit of a nut case.
Gotta go take Dd for her physical. See ya later!

What a difference a day makes!
I do believe either this ammoxiclin or the Zyrtec is working because I feel pretty darned good today. I actually slept through the night last night too. Wow.
Need to go out and clean the pool. We're having a little algae problem. So a scrubbing I will go.

Kerry: Glad to hear things are going well with your hubby.

Ginny: Keep up the good work and my anniversary is Monday the 8th.

Mouse: Glad things went well for you yesterday you deserve a break and big time!

Hey to Summer, Sue, and Robyn!

G'afternoon everybody.

Ginny: I have boxes on boxes on boxes... and I learned from my first moving experience that Imp doesn't like moving. Cats have real issues with territory, and Imp helps UNPACK! Or he gets in the boxes and plays. So Imp went to "Camp Mom" on Friday: he is being spoiled rotten by my mother and my grandmother at their house. Apparently, he & Wiccan (my mom's year-old kitten that I got her) are actually getting along now. They had major, major issues the last time Imp was there... it was one reason I didn't go up as often this past Spring because I couldn't take Imp. But, my mom reports that the two of them are sleeping in the sunny window-well behind my grandmother's side of the bed. They have a huge california king bed with a really heavy wooden headboard. Behind that, are the two windows for the room. You can't even really get behind the one side... but the cats love it because its cool (right near a vent) and sunny! Can't beat that. Last time they fought over that, and the window in my old bedroom (which is the only window with any kind of ledge for them to lay on).
I've been cleaning and packing this morning: bathroom, stripped most of the linens and threw them in the wash so I don't have a lot of dirty stuff right away... When that is done, and dried, I'll do my dresser (still need to clean it out) and the closet. Unhook the computer gear. I scrubbed the cat box out last night and vaccuumed up that mess.
I am going to the gym this evening: the maintenance people came up and switched my shower head (I have a hand-held shower head which is mine, so they switched it for the one that goes with the apartment) for theirs, so if I want a shower, I'll have to go to the gym to do it.
Kerry: Glad the math stuff is getting better, and you can look forward to sleeping in.
Pam: Thanks...
Sue: Some friends of mine bought a house and did the inside painting and a lot of other stuff themselves so that they could save money. They had a painting party and I went over to help. I'm horrible at painting: so bad, in fact, that I was relegated to the inside corners between door moldings so nobody would see my strokes, and when that was done, I did the food and drink runs (which, since they were out in the boonies, was quite a feat!).
Well... This is probably it for me. I'll post after I'm moved and settled.

MaintenanceMomma 08-04-2005 04:50 PM

Kerry - congratulations on the scale moving again. That seems to make it all worth while! I can't imagine having to read that much after being in class all day. I would be asleep in two seconds flat! So glad that your letter seemed to do the trick with your DH. Sometimes you just have to hit men over the head with a brick! Unfortunately I didn't paint yesterday. I couldn't find where my dh had stored the paint. So instead I organized all my recipes that people have given me or I have gotton off the internet. I had three different files of them and they were all just thrown in there. Now they are in one binder organized by type and placed in plastic sheet covers. It actually took me last night and this morning to get it done but will be well worth the effort. I have something in the crockpot now from a pile I had forgotton I had!

Summer - I can say that is one benefit to being flat chested, I can go braless whenever I want and no one knows (unless it is cold and I have on a thin shirt! LOL) Was it Pam who had a friend a size H?! I didn't even know there was such a thing. I just can't imagine. Pam I would be very content to be a C. Summer, so you are afraid of being hurt? Remember no pain, no gain or so they say. I am a whimp myself! Probably a good thing you did get the hunk. You might drop the barbell from too much druel!

Pam - Glad the ammoxicilin is doing the trick on your sinus infection. Those things are the pits! Don't forget to drink lots and lots of water too. I don't think it is a bad mom to drop your ds off at grandma's. It is great for everyone involved. They get quality time, you get your sanity back! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get your sleigh bed on Monday. I love sleigh beds. I have an antique one that was my bed before I re-married but my dh doesn't fit in it, so it is in the spare room. I am with you on the no exercise plan. I really wanted to get into some exercise program this summer so it would be something I felt I NEEDED to do once school started. I just hate exercising so much I never get started. I guess I should add that to my list of things I am trying to finish before school starts and maybe I'll do it still.

Mouse - Wow! No rent until the 25th, that is great! I am with Imp cool and sunny is the place to hang. If you read this before you unplug your computer "Happy Moving!" if not, "Welcome Back!".

Ginny - I am heading out to my meeting in about 20 minutes, so I'll let you know what we talked about. I have often wondered if they have the same theme at all the meetings each week. I am not expecting anything thrilling to happen on the scales. That TOM started yesterday and I haven't been very good on my points. Between rice crispy treats, cheesecake (WW), alcohol and gardettos, I don't stand much of a chance of losing. Transporting children from a reform school doesn't sound like the most relaxing job air or no air! I tell you they couldn't pay me enough to be a driver! It is hard enough transporting my own two!

Okay I am going to dig out the paint and newspapers and hope that my dh offers to paint for me! It really is only a very small spot probably 1 yard by 3 inches but it is at the very top of the wall. I really suck at painting and will probably have to re-paint the ceiling when I am finished! I have to just think how good I will feel when it is done.

When is Robyn coming back?

Sue

Anonymouse 08-04-2005 10:51 PM

I lied. I came back tonight.
I went to the gym a lot later than I thought, and I feel like there is a ton of packing left to do, but there just CAN'T be! I've got to be hallucinating, because everything looks like its in a box!

Sue: I'm large chested as well, and I HATE it. It takes forever to find comfortable bras, and I just wore out the last two that were most comfy. I threw them out finally today when I cleaned out my dresser. I shouldn't wear sports bras, because they aren't "supportive" enough, but I do because they are more comfy. I will admit that with the swimming and weight lifting, the muscle makes it easier to fit the bands... they don't cut into my skin anymore. It runs in my family, unfortunately, I don't think anybody except my grandmother is smaller than a D. I would LOVE to be an A or a B, quite honestly. Even before I gained weight from my endocrine disorder, I had to wear shirts that were larger because of the chest size!

Okay. I need to go eat dinner and then go to bed so I can get up tomorrow BEFORE the movers get here. The computer stuff is packed (I packed the scanner in with my towels and stuff because of its glass bed). My computer itself is a laptop and will go with me in my car.

KAR73 08-04-2005 11:26 PM

Evening Ladies,
I am a happy camper with only one more day of class tomorrow. I will miss the two teachers I have spent my week with though. We sure have been very close and clicked over the last couple of days. I hope we are able to stay in touch with each other over the course of the coming school year. We sure have had some good laughs about things we have talked about and I am not talking about Mathematical Processes either. :) With a guy in our group, you can just image the discussions we have had. Tonight's homework wasn't so bad. But than I guess I can say that since I have only done half of it so far. We had a math problem to solve and to read 10 pages. I solved the math problem and read 3 pages. I guess I will either read the other 7 pages tonight before going to bed or tomorrow morning before going to class.
I out out of class an hour early today, so instead of coming home and than driving back to town to go workout with my friend at Curves, I went shopping. I stopped at the Shoe Dept. and bought me two pairs of sandals. They were on sale and I couldn't pass it up. Than I went across the street to Wal-mart and bought two packages of white socks and 3 CDS. I bought Now This Music Volume 18, Backstreet Boys and Keith Urban. So I felt good about spending money on myself for a change and not feeling guilty about it. I came home and my dh asked me what was in the bags and I said stuff for me. He was like that is fine I was just wondering. His dd came out of the living room than and saw the shoe boxes. I was quick to explain to her that they were mine and that she has already gotten a couple pairs of shoes this summer. The reason I had to do that is because she cried last night to her daddy about how her brothers got new shorts and shirts to practice in for football and she didn't get anything. So he gave into her today and bought her a football t-shirt to wear to their games and the high school games. Plus a cute ponytail holder in the school colors. (Which she can't really wear because her hair is cut into a page boy.) This is the same girl who pouted because her daddy had to buy new cleats for her brothers and she picked out a pair of $85 Nike Shocks and couldn't understand why she wasn't able to get them. Hello you are only 9 years old. She informed us later when her daddy was telling me about the shoes that no one ever said I was cheap! Looks like we are going to have a high maintence girl on our hands when she goes to date in a few years.
Ginny,so how did you wi go? Did you get your van back yet? I did my Walk/Jog video this morning before going to class. Man I think I was more tired after I did it than when I first started. LOL Keep plugging away to get your WW magazine. You will get there!
Sue did your dh get the hint yet? How was your WI and meeting? I know what you mean about the excerise. I didn't have a real set routine until I started working out Curves. Now I feel lost without it when I am not able to go. You just have to try a few different opitions before finding something you really like and than you will stick with it.
Pam, glad that you are feeling better and was able to sleep through the night. So did you get your pool all taken care of? Sounds like fun in this hot weather to be cleaning out the pool.
Mouse, I know what you mean about the moving and feeling like you missed packing stuff. Have a fun time moving tomorrow!
Summer, how was your playdate today? Are you looking forward to your free session with the Russian Personal Trainer tomorrow? Hope she doesn't hurt you too much and that you gain some valuable information from her.
Robyn, miss your funny wit gal! Hope you are soaking up some sun rays for me and not getting burnt.
Well I better go and get ready for bed. Talk to you all tomorrow!
Later,
Kerry

pamisuzinc 08-05-2005 07:29 AM

Good Morning!
Happy Friday. Seems like all of my days just sort of blend together. I will actually have to plug in my alarm clock for Monday. Bummer. Oh well, the good thing about taking this workshop, is that I get paid 100 dollars per day. That will help to pay for college tuition. Tuition is 500 for one semester. I know the tax man will take part of that, but it will still help.
We went looking at Furniture last night. I am so shocked by the price of furniture these days. Wow.....Haven't bought any furniture in I don't know when. You know, we were just looking, but the people follow you around like hawks. So, we are trying to sneak out the front door, and my nine year old disappears to the Tv section. Couldn't make a quick and quiet exit, Ha!

It is tax free weekend here. Every year they have a tax free weekend on school supplies, computers etc......Wouldn't you know that I will not even be here? I may try and run out tonight and buy some of the stuff for my classroom, like folders, pencils etc..... Not a huge savings, but every little bit helps. We're leaving tomorrow for Virginia Beach to drop off the little jabberbox... ;)

Mouse: Ughhh, I hate moving and packing. Although, it is a great time to purge. I am somewhat of a packrat I think. I always hold on to things thinking I may need them sometime. Hope the move went well and you'll be all settled in your new place.

Sue: Send me some of your energy girl. I am having an attack of eating-itis this week. I need to get back to work so I can get back on track. Never thought I'd say that. My goal today is water, water, water. The almighty pepsi has a grasp on me again. The scale is moving in the wrong direction............HELP!!!!!!!!!

Kerry: Today is your last day of class.. Yippeeee....No more homework. I hope we don't get a lot of homework since my class is from 8-4:30 and I will be going out Monday night. I'm lucky, little boys are so low maintenance. My son isn't into brand names yet. He hates to go shoe shopping. This year, his school has gone to uniforms. So, it's orange, white, or navy blue polo shoes and khakis. That will make clothes shopping a breeze. Will making getting ready for school a breeze as well. Especially since my hubby helps him get ready for school in the morning, and he is color blind. (If you know what I mean.)

Ginny: Did you manage to get your card from the bus?

Hey to Robyn, and Summer!

Pam

ECmom 08-05-2005 10:30 AM

Morning!!!!!
Mouse- happy moving day!!!! I know that cats do not take moving well- or any change for that matter. Hope all goes well....no breakage, no losses etc. And, I guess I won't invite you to my house if I need help painting!! We look foward to hearing from you in your new home. Best of luck in it!

Pam- so glad that the amoxil kicked in and you are feeling better! And a very happy anniversary!!! Figured I' better get that in before the weekend hits- sometimes I do not even get near the computer on weekends. Yup, furniture sure is expensive. This is sort of an odd comment, looking at where you live. Here, north of the Mason Dixie line.......and in yankee country some people buy furniture directly from factories in NC. And I hear they save a bundle. And some of these furniture direct types I am sure have web sites. The only problem I have heard of is that delivery must be privately arranged or your stuff is retained until they have a truck going to your area.
Another idea.....and I have personal experience on this one. Have you ever tried Ebay? (ok, stop laughing everyone!) I bought our coffee table on ebay. The matching set of tables we have in the living room had a coffee table with it, and at the time with play pens abounding and no$$$ we could not afford it. So we just got the end tables. Now, several years later- I knew we needed the coffee table. But Ethan Allen discontinued our furniture. So I tried Ebay. FOund a wonderful dealer outside of Philadelphia and got a table in superb condition. We had to go pick it up, but it was sort of an adventure and fun. And he had a whole wearhouse of furniture he had picked up- the stuff was gorgeous and very well priced. Just an idea.......you might be able to find something that way. Happy last day of class too!

Kerry- congrats on the lasat day of class to you too!!!!! That is wonderful that you got to Curves and then got to spend a bit on yourself. We all tend to limp along not spending on ourselves........and it sure feels great when you do. You deserve it! Enjoy the CD.

Sue, so you are a recipe junkie too??? When you are done organizing your recipes.....want to come and do mine? Please????? Actually, I have been cleaning up our filing system at home- dumped the shredder basket a million times and yesterday bought some new hanging folders, with the hope that maybe if I make the filing system look better I will be more inclined to keep it nice, instead of those messy piles of papers.....Anyway back to you. Get to WW yesterday?? The meeting topic in NY (and I did not stay for all the meeting) was about food substitutions. Attempting to find food substitutions that work for you and are satisfying. (anyone got a food substitution for a half gallon of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream?????hehehehe)
Discussions like can you get the same satisfaction from 5 potato chips or 2 cups of 94%ff popcorn? So, I forget the meeting title.....but that was the gist. Did get a good recipe though. One member said to take the WW chocolate smoothe (one packet) add ice, a small amount (to taste) of instant coffee and a teaspoon of sugar free, fat free coffee mate (one of the flavored creamers.....you pick the flavor....hazlenut sounds nice to me!) and some water and blend. She says it tastes a lot like one of those iced cappacino's from the Dunkin......which I have never had anyway because of the calories. I am going to try one today- have the vanilla smoothie mix, and will use some cold hazlenut coffee I have.....I'll let you know how it was. Hope you get your painting done, no matter who does it.

My WW meeting was pretty good. I was up .2#- and wearing a denim dress, so two tenths of a # means nothing to me. I am actually happy because I did not get to a meeting last week at all.... Dh was a creep last nite...actually Dh and Dd. They are so much alike- and sometimes enter their own private world, and then end up picking on me (sort of gang up together). Strength in numbers, I guess. Really burned me up- I have been trying so hard this summer to improve myself in some of the areas that Dh was not too happy in, and then to get slapped in the face (figureatively) like I was last nite was tough. He noticed that my mood was not great- and at least asked this am what was wrong. So I told him- and also told him that at this stage of our lives I am who I am and it might just be a good idea for him to accept that. He did marry me, and I really have not changed much. I have done a whole lot of bending.....to accomodate his interests and wishes. He seemed to be ok with what I said. But I suspect it was purely lip service. Nuff bellyaching. My drive yesterday was ok. I really do enjoy these summer runs in a way- socially I do not get out much for myself, and with a monitor along (or me as a monitor) I am getting to know some of my coworkers better. Yesterday I was out with Bus Driver Barbie- who I have known all along is a really nice lady. (one problem with being a driver is you are isolated from other adults most of the day). We had a great conversation while waiting for the student and driving him home. What a sad case he is. We are not allowed to know many details about students- even major health concerns are not always communicated to transportation- but it is so obvious that this student is very heavily drugged in some manner. He must have violent tendencies (this school handles that kind of student only) and the meds are I am sure to take care of that. But he falls asleep within 2 minutes of his pick up and even when awake seems drugged. What a sad case....
Ok, I have blabbered enough for one session. Hope everyone is having a great day.
See ya later!
Ginny

MaintenanceMomma 08-05-2005 12:51 PM

Mouse - I am not sure when you will be up and running but I hope all went well. I have heard some moving nightmares. Not that it is fun even when everything goes smoothly. I hope you are making good headway in unpacking and the place is beginning to feel like home. Isn't it true that women always want what they don't have? This goes for breast, hair, weight just about everything! I wish we weren't so hard on ourselves. I blame the fashion industry though. Who could possibly compete with the models they use? I like it when store ads use real people.

Kerry - Oh I hate shopping but I LOVE new shoes! I have WAY too many but I NEEDED every pair! I used my womenly wiles on my DH and he said that he will paint the wall this weekend. YIPEE!!!! I did have to go get gas for the tractor as pay back though. I really had to think about what was worse. I hate the smell of diesel fuel. Plus I swear it is easier to get gold out of Fort Knox than to buy diesel fuel. You have to call on a phone to have them turn on the pipe, then slide your credit card and answer a million questions about what you are using it for, then you still need to go inside and sign for it. I have washed my hands 10 times and they still smell! I guess I can't complain as this is the first time I have had to go all summer. That is my problem. I don't like any exercise that feels like exercise. Which means anything where you stay in the same room for any length of time. I should get a membership to the pool because I can swim forever but there is so little time once school starts to drive into town, swim and come back. I know I need to make it a priority. So are you done with all classes after today? I hope you will still talk to us peons once you are a HQ teacher! I did actually pull out my study guide for the HQ test yesterday, does that count? I am still hoping it goes away before I have to take the test! Oh my, if your dd has high $$ taste at 9 you could be in for a rough road in a few years! So far my children seem to be unaware of the name brand bug. They are all about comfort. I guess I'll appreciate it while I can.

Pam - Isn't furniture terrible? We bought a new bedroom set two years ago and about had to remorgage the house to do it! I had to keep telling myself that it would last forever, so it will be worth it in the long run. I hate those salesmen who stalk you. I won't even go into Art Van for that very reason. My dh will just be rude so when I am with him it is okay but I am too nice and they just cling on! So is the tax-free weekend just for teachers or for everyone? Is it just school supplies are you name it? Those taxes can really add up you know. Have fun at Virgina beach tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you while I am at my family reunion. Usually I like family reunions because our extended families are so close they are lots of fun. This one is for all the decendents of my great, great (maybe one more great) grandparents, so there will be a lot of people I don't know there. I feel I need to go though because out of every place in Michigan the could of held it, it is being held at a church about two miles from our house. Now I have been being productive, I didn't say I wasn't eating. I have been bad all summer really. I keep trying to be good and then I end up binging. I ate a whole batch of rice crispy treats yesterday! I also have been terrible about water. It is hard to drink water I guess when your mouth if full of food! I have been good so far today. I am saving points for pizza tonight. I think school uniforms are a great idea. I wish we would have them at our school and make the teachers wear them too. It would be so much easier to get dressed in the morning not to mention cheaper to buy clothes.

Ginny - My dh uses Ebay all the time. Whenever we need something he checks there first. I have never gotton on because I am afraid that I might like it too much, if you know what I mean. Yes, I am a recipe junkie. I just bought two more cookbooks at WW last night. I have so many now I don't use half of them. I love to cook and bake though. Our meeting was the same topic - food substitutions. They didn't mention anything too earth shattering. Frozen grapes seemed like a hit. I haven't tried freezing them so I think I will next time. Plus it will help them to last longer too. I am so glad that I switch to the other meeting. I really like that leader better. She knows me and will give me sh*t, which I like. Picture Robyn as a WW leader and that is what Michelle is like. Have you tried the Healthy Choice cookie dough icecream? I can't tell you the points because I ate the whole container and didn't measure but it was REALLY good! We will have to compare topics again next week to see if they continue to be the same. So how was your iced cappacino? I am not much of an iced coffee person but if you added icecream I might like it! LOL What were you thinking wearing a denim dress to WI? I try to pick out the lightest clothes I own. I even wear a real bra (well some people would call it a training bra) instead of my jell filled ones! My weight stayed the same this week. I am going to try hard to stick to program and loose next time. Sorry to hear your dh is being a pain. Mine has been really great this week. I wonder if he wants something. Hmmmmmm, I hadn't thought of that. You would think they would want to fill the bus drivers in on all the health/behavior type issues. How will you know what to do in an emergancy if they don't? Once again. You couldn't pay me enough to drive for a school!

I am continuing with my productive stretch. Thank you Summer for motivating me. Today I sprayed the weeds on and near our (almost 1/2 mile) driveway. I ran out of round up with just a bit more to do, so I'll finish that later. My next project is either going to be the office or some furniture refinishing. Our office is in the basement and has a door so it is real easy to pretend it is not a mess. I have a bad habit of tossing the paid bills into a box instead of filing them. My dd has a computer in there too and I noticed today that many of her toys have migrated there. The furniture I want to do is an old style porch swing. It is the kind that is all metal with cusions and squeaks when you glide in it. My aunt had one when we were growing up and I always loved it. Between the rocking and the squeaking to is very relaxing. My parents bought me one for my 24th birthday and since that was 18 years ago, I am thinking it is due for a paint job. My dh won't let me put it on the back porch. I am hoping that if I paint it taupe (it is currently yellow) to match the house and buy new cusions that we can have it out for evening firefly watching or morning sunrises.

Today I have my last golf lesson and then my friend and I are going to golf a round. My dh was in a golf tournement this morning so he will be home to watch the children. I don't get out much without them, so I am really looking forward to a bit of grownup time! Maybe I will even do some exercise today but don't hold your breath on that one.

Sue

Me again!
I am trapped inside because of a thunderstorm. Which, my little doggie doesn't like one bit. She follows me from room to room and then I can get nothing done but rub her til it's over. We definitely needed the rain though, so I'm glad. We have the biggest frog I have ever seen in our pond outside. He is sort of creepy because he is missing one eye and a flipper, but he is huge. I bet if I stretched it out he would be over a foot long. I call him Geronimo! ha

Sue: I am so glad to hear that I am not the only shoe junkie. All of which I desperately needed.... My husband just called me Imelda last night. I bought a new dress which I have no shoes to match. Darn, I'll have to get some. :D I went to the outlets in Smithfield and got a dress that is usally 70 for 27, plus a shirt from Liz Claiborne for 9.99. I was finally able to boy a 16 and two shirts in 14/16. That's a far cry from 22/24. Yippeee.Tax free weekend is for everyone. Most clothing items under a 100 dollars each, computers under 3500, school supplies, athletic equipments is all tax free. Have fun at your reuinion. I missed mine this year and we always have a blast.

Ginny: I love ebay. I'm banned though. I made one little mistake once and now my husband says I don't need to be on there. I was getting cards for my son and thought they were 14.99 but failed to see the British Pound symbol and ended up paying 32.00 for them. The sad thing was I usually never win bids! Boy did I win the wrong one. OOOOPPPPSSSSS> My husband and I were discussing the same thing you said last night. How come we live in the Furniture Capital but it's so expensive here? Maybe I'm just cheap..... Ok, so I am......Thanks for your well wishes. My anniversary is Monday...... We're going out out out...... No kids, no kids friends, just an adult date. Wow, how exciting is that? You know, we must be on the same wave length today. Because last night my hubby and son were picking on me as well.. It didn't matter what I said, I was wrong............ Or they laughed at me. Imagine being the only woman in the house and all three of them picking on me. Yikes. I get my little jabs in though. I feel your pain sista!

I'm going to try and upload some before and after pictures after I get this roll of film I have developed. I'm terrible. I take so many pictures and then forget to develop them. I have a whole baggie full.

See ya later!
Pam

Hi All,
Just a quick note to say I am done with my class. I have two follow-up days though. One is in Sept. and the other one is in Nov. Both are on Saturdays. So when I looked at the calendar tonight, it hit me that out of my six follow-up classes 5 of them are on Saturdays. Which really bites since I wouldn't feel like I had much of a weekend when they roll around. My two new friends and I decided to meet sometime for dinner to continue our friendship. Which will be fun. I came home today after working out at Curves to go out to dinner with the family. After dinner, we went to the movie store. The deal was everyone had to agree on the movie. Well the kids wanted to get Sandlot 2 and I said no right away because I am tired of baseball. While their df said that they could get it and that I would have to just suffer through the movie since that is what they really wanted. So I told him that I would not just spend time with them this evening while watching the movie. So I took a nap. Got up and went for a ride to the DQ for a sugar-free frozen treat and came home to the computer. I think I might just go to bed early tonight and try to catch up on my sleep.
I will talk to you all later. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! My family has been given strict instructions not to wake me up in the morning or someone will get hurt. They all thought I was joking, just wait an see what happens if they wake me up. I am so dog gone tired tonight it isn't funny.

Hey ya'll! We've returned from the beach! Did you miss me?! ;)
::sigh:: All wonderful vacations must come to an end!

We had a great time! Even with my SPF 35 and 45, I managed to get rather brown while preventing getting red! :) We stayed in Avon, NC and drove 4 wheel drive vehicles out on the Frisco and Ocracoke beaches! (HIGHLY recommend visiting the beaches there.... getting there via truck!) Our oldest learned to surf with some success! While he was out there (the one time I was with him) I was so nervous that I failed to get any photos! (Duhhh!) Next time, I've promised to take a TON for him! (I can't believe that I totally FAILED to get his success on film!) Our youngest spent literally hours riding the waves! He had to be forced out of the ocean for meals and rest periods! We relaxed! We hung out with our friends! We saw tons of dolphins! We went to Ocracoke (twice!), took walks on the beach, found 3/4 of a very large sand dollar (rare for summer time!), read Janet Evanovitch's new book _Eleven On Top_ (If you haven't read her Stephanie Plum books, DO! They will make you LOL!), I could go on and on and on about our trip to Cape Hatteras! We had a great time away...spending time together!

I hope I haven't missed too much here! Hope everyone is doing well! Will check in tomorrow, of course! :)

take care,
meeee

WELCOME BACK ROBYN!
Sounds like you had a great time. Just a quick note as I've still not packed my son's clothes. Nothing like a little procrastination I always say. Oh well, I work well under pressure. Hope you all have a great weekend, I'm off to Virginia Beach!
