Good Morning,
Anyone interesting in cleaning my livingroom carpet? Any takers? Don't all speak up at once. The meatloaf? To me it almost tasted like lasagna without noodles. It was ok, my husband, and son really liked it. I don't mean to say I feel like I've wasted my summer. I know I have been really busy this summer, but I had planned on painting my kitchen, stuff like that..... Kerry: I know how you feel about people who won't be quiet during classes. At my school, teachers are soooooooooo rude during faculty meetings for the same thing. It makes me insane. Especially if the people are sitting right next to you. You remind me of me.... I am still laughing at what you said over "getting even with your husband" it sounds just like me. One night I was really tired and he was in the bedroom playing some stupid football game on the xbox, well I turned the light off and he was getting really grouchy complaining that he wanted the light on, so I turned the light back on really pissed off and covered my head up. The next morning I got up before him and turned the light on and was digging through a drawer looking for something he wanted me to turn the light off cause he was still sleeping, I said I'm sorry is that bothering you? Ha. He calls me evilene! Mouse: I would definitely check out the other gym. If you are unhappy about the gym you probably will not want to go to it as much. What can it hurt? Summer: Man you are on the SB most wanted list now! Sounds like a good recipe. Congratulations to your daughter! :D My mother in law is really pissing me off. She has been doing this diet where you can only eat certain foods from group A with a neutral group, or group b with a neutral group, but never A and B together. So, she keeps sending me this diet. I am really not interested in doing it, and I think I was doing fairly well my own way until summer. She says well you really need to try it. She can't take a hint. (This comes from a woman who told me the first year I was married to face it I would never be a size six.) Ughhhhhhh I think I have decided to ban Victoria's Secret. My anniversary is next Monday, and I was looking for a garter belt, and she looked at me then looked at my waist and kind of rolled her eyes. So, I went elsewhere. She really hurt my feelings. Sue and Robyn: Hey!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk to you all later! Pam |
Ok, now I am ticked....left a nice long post only to find it is lost in cyberspace. So, I will be brief-
Pam- enjoy the remaining days of your summer.....as long as you got a chance to rest and recharge that is the most important thing. Painting????? Can't Ds do some of that for you? (just kidding!) Can you leave the meatloaf recipe for me please? Kerry- glad that Dh is more sensitive to your needs & feelings. Sounds like the letter worked. So many times I think we think that our men just know how we feel, and they are wired so much differently than we are. And sometimes they are just big louts. (Did I say that!?hehehehe!) Summer- well, you naughty girl!!!! Imagine using a dusting of graham crackers in a SB recipe! Good for you making it- sounds yummy and I am tempted to try the recipe myself. You could just dust the pan with Pam and then graham crumbs (just to coat)- and that would shut up all the naysaysers and still give you a taste of the crust. just an idea. Mouse- think I would investigate the other gym too. Any chance they will accept a transfer of membership? Happy packing!!! Robyn- out there somewhere on the Outerbanks.....basking in the sun....relaxing...hope you are having a wonderful time! Ok, I know I missed someone- Sue!!! How are you doing?? Me ? Going to WW on Thursday. Trying to get a million things done and accomplishing none. Well only a few. Hope to spend some quality time with Patricia Cornwell tonite. Anyone have a recommendation for another author after I finish the Scarpetta series? Enjoy your day.....even if this darned weather is HOT!!! Ginny |
The heat wave is back in full force. What is it with these 90+ days? We don't usually get many in Michigan and I think we have averaged two or more a week this summer!
Mouse - Definately check out the new gym. Make sure they are willing to make the accommodations that you need. Then pick the gym that will work best for you. Those gym memberships aren't cheap so get the best bang for your buck! Most gyms claim that you can cancel anytime, if you aren't pleased so you should be able to get your money back. Kerry - Reading that many pages of math related should be considered abuse of some sort I am sure! At least you shouldn't have trouble sleeping! I think teachers are terrible students. I would hate to have to try to teach them! When of my closer friends at school is such a rude you now what at conferences, I don't even want to sit by her. She makes nasty comments all the time and she has one of those voices that really carries. Pam - I think I have a similar recipe. It is good when we get in a rut. Since my DH refuses to eat left overs unless I re-invent them into something new, I take the left overs and chop them into bite size pieces to toss into spaghetti sauce like meatballs. Don't give up on Victoria Secret, remember it was a person being rude, not the store. No need to punish yourself for the acts of others (I happen to really like V.S.) I would suggest that you write to the company and let them know what happened. I think they would like to know if one of their employees is treating customers rudely. Maybe you will even get a gift certificate out of the deal! Summer - Once again you are my idol for actually starting in on your summer chore list. I keep thinking about it but not acting on it. I think I'll go weed what is left of my flower garden and then think of one more project for today. Ginny - Sorry you lost your post. I hate it when that happens. I wonder where they go anyway?! I am going to start going to WI on Thursdays too I think. It means driving two towns over but I'll be with the leader I like. Plus Thursdays are farther away from Friday's pizza night than any other day of the week! I am thinking about switching dentists. When the dentist I had had all my life retired I just kept the one who took over his office. I haven't cared for him from the beginning (he talks like Barney even when he is talking to me and I am older than him!) but really like his staff, so I stuck with him. He has become increasingly like a use cars salesman trying to sell this process or that everytime we go in. Last time we went I found out that my hygentist had taken a different job. They use to have one hygentist clean my teath while the other one cleaned the children. Since they have fewer teeth we finished at the same time. It worked well. Now they aren't replacing her, so it takes twice as long. Too long for children to sit there. So we have to go on two different days. The problem is I feel guilty for leaving. Our appointments are at the end of August. I don't know if I should just go and not make new ones or call the other dentist in town to see if he can get us in and then just cancel our appointments. Then there is the ex-husband factor. I would have to contact him (even though he hasn't picked up the children since August 27, 2004) and see if it is okay for me to switch the children. That raises my stress level just thinking about it! Time to be productive! Sue |
Sue, the oil man is here right now doing furnace maintanance, so I was stuck in the house today anyway. I started cleaning my bedroom until he arrived. I don't want to be on the second floor while he is in my basement. So, I cleaned the kitchen and ran the dishwasher. I thought I'd take a break, come on here, have lunch, and then get back to work. It is sunny and hot, so when I'm done with my bedroom, I've got to let DD go in the pool. If my mother were alive, she'd be having a fit right now with me being inside on a sunny day! (Don't worry mom, I promise to go outside later!)
Pam, I agree with Sue that you should complain to the powers that be at VS. Last year when the Disney babysitter at Disneyworld fell asleep in our hotel room while babysitting DD, I raised heck, and we were not only refunded all our money, we have a free session of childcare when we return and several hours for us to spend with the potential babysitter to ease DD's and our minds about trusting them again. And remember my bad day at the movies with the non-stop crying baby? I complained and got two free movie passes. I think in general, corporations really want to please their customers, and if their employees are undermining the business by being rude and badly representing the company, they want to know. I used to get all my underthings and nighties at VS prior to my pregnancy. Sometimes I had problem with bras because not all their styles had large enough cup sizes. But there were always a couple that went up to 36D. Then, after I got fat, I hated seeing that damn catalog. (I can't even buy a bra from them anymore. Now I'm a 42DDD. That saleslady who was rude to you would probably drop dead if I told her my bra size!!!) Anyway, I requested that they no longer send me a VS catalog. I didn't want it coming to my house until I could fit in all their stuff again. By the way, your MIL sounds like a real pleasure...NOT! Mine isn't any better. :p Ginny, have you read Janet Evanovich yet? I'm reading her Full House series right now. It goes, Full House, Full Speed, Full Tilt, Full Blast, and right now I'm reading, Full Bloom. When I'm done with this series, I'm moving onto One For the Money... Robyn turned me onto her. You can get her books really cheap (used) at Amazon.com. Kerry, I understand your frustration being held up waiting for others. Enjoy your class, and ignore the losers. Well, the oil man just left. Time to give DD and I some lunch, and then it is off to my bedroom to finish cleaning. Later alligators!!! |
: Just me again!
I feel sooooooooo good this afternoon. Everything is finally in line for my son to start at the community college this fall. He went and took his placement tests today, and Orientation and Registration is Tuesday. :D You don't know what it's taken for us to get to this point. By the way, car in shop again. It has not been right since we got it out the first time. It is still under warranty and it will keep going back to the man until he fixes it right. I know he hates to see me coming. I would not take it to him but, it is under warranty. So, third time is the charm................ Remember how bummed I was about moving to sixth grade? Well, two of my friends are going with me. Yeah! I am really excited because my coteacher for inclusion who was with me last year (sorry for the run on)she was placed with me in the sixth grade. I ran into the head of the EC department who said she reworked the whole EC Schedule because they had moved me and we worked together so effectively. I will only have her for one period, but we are sharing a room. It's a bummer for her because she is floating, but we are putting her desk in my room and I cleaned out the closet so she could have half. Maybe things will be ok afterall. Ginny: Ok well it really wasn't a recipe persay. I just took 93/7 extra lean ground beef, mixed it with italian bread crumbs, Ragu pizza sauce, mushed it all together, then put half of it in the bottom of a loaf pan, then dumped some more pizza sauce, sprinkled lowfat mozzerella, put the rest of the concoction on the top, more sauce and cheese, and baked it at about 375 for 45 minutes or so. I will ask my assistant principal for the actual recipe. It was still tasty. Summer: You can go ahead and handle all that for me. While you are at it, call Walmart too. I spent thirty minutes trying to find a pair of pink sandals. Finally, found them stood in line for twenty minutes, and then they would not sell them to me because something came up when they scanned that said Do Not Sell. There was a whole display of them. They were comfie and cute but it was so late I said whatever and left. I will fight that fight another day. In spite of the whole Victoria's Secret thing I went to Penny's and found a pink bustier with attached garters in a size I could wear and on clearence sale to boot for 11.99! Can't beat that! Maybe when I lose some more weight, I will try there again. Sue: You are right. I will try again, once I lose some more weight. I had just been looking everywhere because I had something particular in mind and couldn't find it, but she still didn't need to be like that. I usually don't complain about things like that to the store, but we had such a good time on our vacation in Myrtle Beach, that I emailed the hotel, and ended up getting four letters one from the Vice President thanking me because usually they only get complaints. I wrote to Lysol to thank them for their great bathroom cleaner and got a fifty cents off coupon! Later! Pam |
Evening all.
Before any of you read further, yes... the magnet has attracted more trouble. I'm thinking about changing my handle to AnonyEeyore. I went to the Red Cross to turn in my pager and ID badge today, and found out that the lead dispatcher is in the hospital after having heart problems. Fortuantely, she was with another volunteer who keeps her head on in emergencies... But my friend had a quadruple bypass, and nobody bothered to tell me. Our paid staff person is just so clueless! :( :( I can't be there ... but I've sent her some balloons (mylar, no latex!), and a cute little stuffed giraffe (its a baby toy, so its nice and soft!), plus a card. That was how I started my day; after less than 4 hours of sleep because I just couldn't fall asleep last night. Then I went to work, where the lifeguard I'm relieving started having hissies because I wasn't there at 9:00. I'm not SUPPOSED to be there until 9:30, and I was there and ready at 9:10. He was out the door on his break no later than 9:15, and he knows I know it, because he was back at 11:15. I hate moving the lane lines... and yesterday we had issues because one of them was so tight we couldn't get it undone. I had to get in the water and everything. Today, we discovered the REASON the lane was so tight was because the wire was breaking... and it broke completely and came unraveled while I was trying to move the lane lines. I cut my hand on the line... not badly, didn't even bleed... Finished most of the rest of the packing today, but I'm always afraid that I've forgotten something or something that was supposed to be done isn't... you know how that goes! I checked with Allstate to change my address to the new apartment, and they had mailed me stuff in June... I had my other policy (according to them) completely paid off, so they owe me money. My other policy was $100 more than the new one will be, so they were supposed to give me a credit. Instead, they say I owed them $37 and my policy is in danger of being cancelled because I haven't paid it. They mailed me a bill in June... where they mailed it, I have no idea. As far as this summer goes, it just SUCKED... and it looks like I'm going into a similar situation in the fall to what I just left. I just cannot deal with that. And I'm stuck. :mouse: |
Quick hello before I get lost in cyberland. My computer is acting hormonal........
Mouse- glad all that packing is done. Think positive!!!! This will all work out- it always does. Hope your friend the lead dispatcher is ok. Pam- WOO HOO!!!!!! COngrats on Ds getting registered for school. I know what a headache he has been for you recently. Sounds as though this fall will be working out for you. At least you have one period with your friend as a coteacher. Something to look foward to. Summer- did you get outside yet?? (amazing how our mothers words stay with us!). Hope you got all your cleaning done too.......sounds like you had a busy day. Thanks for the heads up on Janet Evanovich. I will have to give her a try once I unchain myself from these darned Scarpetta novels. Furnace maintenance??? In this miserable heat??????? Aw, don't blame you- good planning......better to get it tuned up now than in the middle of a blizzard. Sue- as far as dentists go, I think because of all the hassle, I would put up with the present situation one more time- but begin the process of finding a new one (and getting the approval from your ex) now. It kind of puts you in control of the situation- more so than rushing around now. Hope you get to your meeting. Having the leader you like is so important......really helps a lot. We will have to compare notes and see if we have the same topic. BTW- are you in that meeting attendance thing to get a free 6 months of the WW magazine? Got a 3 mile walk in this am at 5......yawn......but it was cool. Got to Dd's last swimming lesson this am- and she was promoted up to Deep Water 2 (parents were only allowed to watch the last lesson). Then some housework...I am stripping some wallpaper from the backspash area of my kitchen (paper became uncleanable and was peeling) and when I finish that guess I'll just paint there. At least the paint is more cleanable and I have some here. Gotta drive this afternoon...just 2 1/2 hours and then take the kids bowling. It has become our weekly thing........ Robyn- hope you are happily basking in the sun!!!! And hope those darned Outer Banks stay hurricane free until I am back from there..... See ya! Ginny |
Summer - I tried to be productive yesterday. I did get my flower beds all weeded and BELIEVE me they needed it! Unfortunately my ds noticed I had a flat on my car. Luckily I was able to pump it up with the air compresser and it stayed filled enough for me to drive to the tire shop to get it fixed. They found a 2 1/2 inch nail in it! I was so happy that my ds saw it early, so I could get it taken care of before my golf league. Usually I don't leave until the last minute and I would have been really late. Unfortunately that prevented me from doing any other projects yesterday. I made up for it today though. I did a quick clean of the house and then took the children down to the playroom. My what a mess! We had three bags of garbage, four bags of paper stuff and a box to donate to Goodwill or our churches preschool! Now everything is back into the correct storage container or shelf. You can even see the floor! WOW I didn't even know there was a such thing as a DDD (except store bought maybe). I wish you could loan me some of that. Even when I was at the height of nursing my children I was MAYBE a full C. Mostly I am an almost A! I think the hooter fairy visited my sister twice and forgot about me! That is why I like VS. I can get their jell filled bras and actually look like I am a woman!
Pam - Sounds like everything is falling into place with your son's school and yours. Now if you could just get that darn car to work right! Will your ds be able to live at home while he takes classes? That would be a nice money saver for him I am sure. Mouse - Look on the bright side. Things HAVE to get better eventually. I'll send you some good vibes to help you along. Ginny - I didn't hear about the attendance for free magazine thing. Of course, I have been terrible about attending the meetings this summer, so I could have missed it. Two of my sisters subscribe to the magazine and really like it. They both say they will pass them on to me when they are done reading them but I have yet to see them. Right now the leader I like is doing a prize for tracking. Anyone who tracks for a week gets to put there tracker into the box and she draws out a winner from the group. Usually it is some WW product that you win but she also sells Pampered Chef, so it could be something from that. Did you enjoy your bowling. We use to always bowl everytime it rained in the summer. We just haven't had any rain! Plus I feel like I lived at the bowling alley last school year, so I am enjoying the break. The children do a bowling league every Saturday during the school year and my dh and I do a every other Sunday league. My dh also does a Monday and a Tuesday mens league but I don't go very often to watch as they are late and I have school and children. Is your bowling alley airconditioned? I don't think ours is. Now that I am on a productive roll, I think I'll do a little painting. We had our roof leak 2 or 3 years ago (our house is only 4 years old). The builder came and fixed it and sent a dry waller to patch it up but the spot never got repainted. It is in the study on a wall I never look at, so it has been easy to pretend it is not there. When I do notice it though, it drives me crazy! Did I mention I hate to paint more than just about everything else in the world? Is Robyn gone for the whole week? Sue |
Afternoon Ladies,
I have managed to put on a happy face and make the best of this class. I still am not a happy camper about the homework every night. Every night we have about 30 pages of reading to do. I wouldn't mind having homework if it was just a few pages of material. I mean come on I am spending my summer inside taking a class, cut me some slack so I can enjoy my evening. I did lose 1/4 of a pound last week. So I was a happy camper last night leaving my TOPS meeting. So I might just be back in the losing game again. It had been a month since I had last lost anything. Sounds like you are all doing well and keeping busy. But at the same time enjoying yourselves. I hate to cut this short, but I must go get something for dinner and than do my 30 pages of reading. I might come back on later this evening. If not have a great evening. Talk to you later. Kerry |
Sue, you think DDD is big? My mother was a EEE. Had she lived longer, I think she may have gotten breast reduction surgery. Mine don't bother me yet...its all about having the right bra, and thankfully, I found it. But I have to say, the first thing I do when I walk in the door is take off my bra before I've even had a chance to take off my shoes. I wish I could go braless all the time, but it would be too much of a shock to other people especially since breastfeeding and 40 years of gravity!!! Oh and by the way, in the world of big boobies, DDD is nothin'!!! Glad you got some major cleaning done. It feels good doesn't it? I won't be getting much done tomorrow because we have triplets coming to swim and play.
Ginny, up at 5am? Ouch! Great job with 3 miles. That used to be my routine, but it was later in the day. My allergies no longer permit walking outside. Our oil company always schedules these annual maintanance calls for the off-season, because they are too busy with real problems when the heat needs to be on. I can't wait till you start reading J. Evanovitch. You will love her. Let me know which book you begin with. Mouse, I mean Eeyore, the sun has to come out sooner or later. Don't give into the clouds. Pam, don't ya just love Penney's? How great that you not only found something beautiful, but you can't beat that price! Congrats that your son will be starting CC in the fall. And how cool that you will have your friends with you in 6th grade! This morning at 9am, I was supposed to meet with a personal trainer for a free session. I've kind of dreaded going because this Russian chick is a bit intimidating (please don't hurt me! :wl: ) being all thin and muscular with that thick Russian accent. She is strrrrong like buuull!!! I got up extra early to shower and shave my legs so I wouldn't embarrass myself too much. Well, she called right before I was leaving to cancel. So, now I have to wait two more days till Friday. I went and did my normal workout today and gazed admiringly (lustingly) at the knockout, tall, dark, and handsome male personal trainer who has never approached me. :p Then again, he probably has more clients than he knows what to do with. (I've got some ideas :s: ) My luck, I get approached by a Russian chick who will probably kill me. DH had the day off so we did some errands, saw the movie "Must Love Dogs" which was excellent, and swam in the pool. Tomorrow, tricklet playdate. |
Kerry, how did I miss you? Sorry you have homework on top of attending the class. That really sucks. :p I hope this goes by quickly for you.

Hey!
Just spent a fun filled day at the doctor's office. I have a sinus infection. It all started the day I went out and did the three hour marathon. I took a shower and then was gonna lay down and take a short nap and I started feeling dizzy. Then, I woke up in the middle of the night with all my teeth hurting, my ear hurting, my face hurting(I can just hear my brother now from that last statement) and had to sit up for two hours. I mean I took everything, steam saline nose spray and I thought my face was gonna pop off so me and my little boy went and sat in the Immediate Care for 2 and half hours. So, I am on Ammoxicilin (875 milligrams) for fourteen days and Zyrtec. Hope it works cause this sucks. I need to start reading the material for this workshop I am attending next week, and I have gotten it out twice and never looked at it. I am sort of dreading it actually. It is from 8-4:30 everyday. Yuck! On the bright side, I am dropping off my son at my mothers until the day before school.....Ok, yes it makes me sound like a bad mother. But, you would not believe the number of kids I deal with here on a daily basis atleast five. This doesn't including the oldest one and his friends. This morning I was industrious, got up at six, swept and mopped the kitchen floor, went to the grocery store and when I got back home, my husband had been outside and tracked grass all over the kitchen floor. Ugh. He said Oh, I didn't notice. So, I swept the kitchen again. At 11:30 my husband came home from lunch, my son and his friend came home for lunch and they all left me a big mess........................... :  Atleast when school starts my hubby will go back to helping me with the housework again. I am very excited because I think my husband is getting me a sleigh bed for our anniversary! I have been wanting one for the longest time. I hope it comes to pass. Sue: Yes, my son will be able to stay home. It is just community college. Hopefully, he will do well and can transfer later. I think he plans on staying at home forever. When we took my son up to the college yesterday, my little one said, is this a boarding college? I said No it sure isn't. He said darn I wanted his room. Ha He can't wait for big brother to move out! Ginny: Up at five am. The only walking this girl gets done at five am is to the bathroom and back to bed. (And I will usually hold it until I am about to bust.) Good for you. Excercise for me has been relatively nonexistant. Kerry: Not enjoying the Math? Or is just the homework? Homework in the summer, that sucks. Two more days right? Hubby treating you all right these days? Summer: My friend is I believe a double H! She has to have all of her bras special ordered. I think she was bigger, but lost some weight in the boob area. Darn.. I was a D now I've lost down to a C. Plenty for me. Have fun with the Russian. Ha! Mouse: You poor thing. Think positive thoughts............. It's got to break sooner or later. Sending Hugs your way. Robyn: Still at the beach? Hope you are having fun. I just watched Hide and Seek today. Have any of you seen it? It was pretty good. I think this Zyrtec is helping and I am going to feed my fish. See ya later! Pam |
Good evening.
I think I'm in a better mood tonight. Last night, I called one of my friends. She is an Occupational Therapist, and we must have similar luck. She totally understands all the medical stuff (because she has her own share!), and she's also in the same line of work (she works mostly with elementary aged students with multiple disabilities or autism or emotional disturbance; we met because she was assigned to my inner city classroom briefly, then again when I did summer school---we've been friends ever since!). We talked for 2 hours. Today, I got to swim before I left the gym from lifeguarding: the last two days I couldn't because I needed to pack, and last week I couldn't, becuase of that pulled muscle. I swam without stopping for an hour and 10 minutes... And only stopped then because my ankle/leg cramped (probably not enough fluid!). It was nearly 100 degrees in the pool room at 9:00 a.m.! And I just got off the phone with another local friend from Red Cross... I wish our lives had meshed better in terms of time, because I really like her... oh well! :) I also cleaned the electric cat box and vaccuumed up the mess. My leasing agent says I don't have to pay them for August until she sends me a pro-rated bill which will be sometime around August 25, so that is awesome. And, she's just going to take my rent out of my security deposit, so I won't have to pay as much. So... thanks, I think your positive vibes are working. I'm going to dig something out of the leftovers for dinner (I bought some chinese food with extra steamed veggies), and read. Maybe play some WordMojo over at Yahoo. :mouse: |
Evening Everyone,
It took me over two hours to read my homework tonight. I am wiped out now. It was on Reasoning and Proof and on Assessment. Two very interesting topics, but very long readings on both. So now I am hoping to relax a little bit. Maybe watch a little tv here in a little bit or read. Summer, a Russian personal trainer huh? I bet you were really wishing for the male personal trainer. I know I would. LOL Glad that you did go in anyway and get your workout in. I have to admit that I didn't get any workout into today. I had to get up this morning and use that workout time for my homework from yesterday. So I will do better tomorrow. I think that is one reason I am so tired tonight and just feel crappy. Did you like Must Love Dogs? That was one of the choices my sister and I had to see last Saturday and we choose Wedding Crashers. But I think I might just ask one of my friends to go see Must Love Dogs. Have fun on your playdate tomorrow! Sue so how did the painting go? I hate to paint too. My dh, his sil's brother and I painted our living room two years ago during a spring break. I hated it because they made me do all the parts where it was sitting on the floor or being the go getter of more paint supplies or beer. I was so pissed off at them by the end of the third day, I told them that they needed to finish the living room or else that day. We have a huge living room with I believe 10 ceilings. So you can image why it to so long. Did you atleast do something fun today? Ginny way to go on your 3 mile walk this morning. I really think that doing the walking videos again has helped me start to lose again. So how was work today? Did you have fun bowling? Pam, sorry to hear that you are under the weather. Glad to hear that you went to the doctor's and they put you on meds to make you feel better. I like the class now that I have gotten over the inital fear of things. It is just the 30 pages of reading nightly after sitting in class for 8 hours, is the last thing I would like to be doing in the evenings. My dh has been treating better. So I guess he finally saw the light so to speak. He seems to be a little bit more sensitive of my needs. I hope that this continues for a while and it is not just a few days kind of thing. He made the comment that this year doing school, I wouldn't have to do much of the housework, because of my having to intergrate the information learned in my summer classes and doing follow-up classes on a few Saturdays in Oct., Nov., and Dec. Plus I am taking part in an on-line follow-up to my Science class that will consist of two graduate credits for free if I do the program correctly. So how could I pass up free credits? I asked him what happened to my dh. His reply was what do you mean? So maybe the letter did some good in all areas of our relationship. Time with tell. Hi to Mouse and Robyn. Hope all is well with you! I will share this with you all. My dh told me two nights in a row that people have asked for his help on the weekend of August 12th for the baseball tournment here in town to help the pee wee football parents club. My first thought was you said sure I'll go ahead and help you. But he actually told them no that he was not going to be in town that weekend. That he was going away with his wife for a mini vacation. I wa so proud of him for actually saying no to baseball for once. Now football season will start and then for the about 10 weeks we will not be able to do anything fun on the weekends but go to football games on Sunday afternoon's. Well I better go and relax a little bit before going to bed tonight. Two more days of getting up at 5:30. Than I will be able to sleep in for about two weeks and than start getting up early again for the real thing called school. Talk to you all later. Kerry |
Good evening!!!!
Mouse- Oh, bother.........Glad you got some swimming time in- gee an awful lot at that too! Too bad about your Red Cross friend. I have had that problem a lot- friends who's schedules collided with mine or even worse yet, had my 2 best friends move away within 6 months of each other. Sounds as though you have most of the move worked out.....a major accomplishment. How is Imp taking all the boxes? Pam- sure hope you are on the "right drugs". Yuck- a summer sinus infection. Drink lots and lots......try to get some rest. And I hope the amoxicillin does not wreak havoc with your stomach. And you did all that cleaning not feeling well???? The new bed sounds no nice. When is your anniversary?? Summer- too bad about the personal trainer.....are you waiting for Broomhilda and some whips and chains or what???? (sorry, with Robyn out there lost in NC, someone had to take make a jab) Think I would prefer the handsome guy myself......But working with a personal trainer sounds like a great thing for you. Hope it works out for you! (just hope she does not have a beard........ok, I am on my Df's side almost 100% Chezch so I figure I can make a Russian jab or so...) Enjoy the tricklet playdate, if that is at all possible! Kerry- congrats on the loss!!! Glad to hear that the scale is going down.....any loss is a good one! 30 pages of reading a nite? Ugh. I remember summer school being an intense experience...only did that once after I flunked first semester calc and had to catch up. Good thing that the guy who taught it for summer school was gorgeous and a great teacher. Made up for all the work. Hope you can find a few moments for yourself tonite. Sue- you productive person you!!!! That is the one great thing about all this cleaning (I have been doing my share too). Nice to de-clutter and get some more major tasks done. Yup, painting is the pits.....I will be joining you in that misery in a few days. BTW, WW did the magazine thing at the start of the summer. I think it asks you to get to 10 meetings over the summer - get this card validated and then you get the magazine free for 3 issues (6 mos). I have 3 meetings to go.......and the deadline is 9/10. Hope you get to your meeting.......let me know what the topic is. Got called in to work.....and because someone messed up I did office work. Would rather drive, which I am doing tomorrow (suburban with A/C taking a student home from a "reform" school kind of thing.) But will get to WW in the am...have to take Dd for her physical too....another busy day. Not optimistic about the WI, I have been getting lots of walks in, but my eating has been so so. Guess I have babbled enough for today. Oh, Summer, I guess I will most likely start with the first Evanovich book........after I get over my Scarpetta addiction. And BTW, there is another Scarpetta novel due out 10/25. G'nite! Ginny |
