Morning Chickies! :wave: Don't know if any of you will be checking in over the weekend BUT I thought I'd come on and say hi anyway! Came in @ 6am to clean the building for today's wedding....thank God they weren't too messy from last night! I'll be working till 11 or so then I'm outta here!
Doors don't open til 8:30 but the florist has been here since about 6:15 working outside and let me just say it's BEAUTIFUL! Down by the arbor area is where the ceremony will be...it looks like somethign right out of a fairytale down there! She's a friend of the family and this is her girt to the bride. She used to have her own business but doesn't do it anymore. I really really really like her work but then we got talking and that's when she told me she doesn't do it anymore. Too bad b/c I would have promoted her! I am really looking forward to going to TWIDDLE'S today! It'll be so nice to do something that is not work related! I am really exhausted though.....so I'm debating going to the gym after I get off work or just going home to sleep a little bit before her party! I ran around like a nut this morning trying to get this place clean....even used the LEAF BLOWER!!!! Ahhhhhh....gotta love things with a motor! LMAO! Found out late last night that I'll be getting some unexpected company on Sunday....now I have to get in speed mode to clean my apartment! Maybe that's what I'll do instead of going to the gym. Hmmmm..... Well, duty calls. Have a great weekend! |

Como estan? Espero que bien!! This was a gorgeous weekend. I had so much fun and now more than ever I can't wait till Friday!!!!! After having so much fun this weekend and not having to think about this shiiiit hole, I want to be able to do it for a little longer. TWIDDLE's party was great, I met people who actually want to be friends with her, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!! I really thought that CHICKIE and I were the only ones who were going to show up, but I guess they went for the same reason we went...to EAT all the good food. VIVA, including SHRIMP!! Sunday we spent it packing and buying all the last minute things (which of course I'm not done) that we need for our vacation. And then came home and fixed dinner and vegged in front of the TV. Don't know what was on because I seemed to have fallen asleep on DH lap. Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day even though it is raining. Off to get my coffee. HAVE A SAFE AND WONDERFUL DAY!! |
Good morning all. I had a good weekend, but as usual it went by WAY too fast. Vacation seems so out of reach right now, but hopefully the next 3 work weeks go by super fast.
Glad everyone had fun on Saturday. I'm about to fall asleep on my keyboard... :yawn: |
Morning Chickies...had a lot of fun at TWIDDLE'S party and surprisingly enough others showed up besides me and SPILLIE! :devil: LMAO! Good food, good friends, good times.....oh wait, forgot where and who I was there for a second! :s:
Ok, now I have some not so good news. When I got home from work on Sat and before I left for TWIDDLE'S party, I got a call from my dad saying they were at the hospital b/c they had to take my DGF to the emergency room. I told him I would have my cell w/me if there was any news....but he didn't call. Late Sat night mom called saying that he wasn't good and that he would have to have a pacemaker put in and that the surgery was scheduled for Monday. He spent the night in the ER b/c there were no beds. Also on Sat nite she told me that a long time family friend who is also one of my mom's closest and dearest friends has a brain tumor and things look bleek there as well. Her surgery is supposed to be sometime this week. Talked to my parents last night and they can't do my DGF surgery today b/c he now has pnemonia and his lungs are chucked full of fluid and they have to wait til that goes away before they can put in the pacemaker....they are hoping to do it by the end of the week. As for my mom's friend, her surgery is scheduled for either tomorrow or Weds. They had to transfer her to another hospital b/c her brain started swelling...a hospital that specializes in that kind of thing. I had asked how this tumor came about and mom said they *think* it formed from some kind of cancer elsewhere in her body and it "matastisized" (sp?) in her brain...left frontal lobe--think that's where mom said it was. I've known this lady all my life....she and my mom were pregnant togther. I know I could always turn to her if I needed anything and I know they would come here to Philly if I needed them (they live in MD). I also talked to my granny last night...she's trying to put on a brave front but I can see thru that. She's really worried if he'll make it thru the surgery. I told her I would be praying. So, needless to say other than TWIDDLE'S party, my weekend wasn't so great. I'm really worried about everything going on right now and everyone involved. If I all the sudden don't post for awhile, you'll know something happened b/c I will be on the first plane out of here one way or the other....but I will try and reach one of you to let you know what's going on. My parent's visit has been put on hold indefinitly now pending what happens with my DGF. I just can't seem to catch a break here lately. Between work and all the problems there now this....don't know what I did to deserve all this or why I'm being tested like this. I'm trying to stay strong but it's getting to be difficult. Sorry if I'm sounding like the voice of doom & gloom....just wanted to let you know what's going on. |
CHICKIE, hang in there and your DGF is in my prayers as well as you are. He will be fine through all this he is one strong man. He made it through before and he be fine again and when you go down to see him it will be in good times. As for your mom's friend, hopefully the surgery will take care of it and she will recover as well. You all are in my prayers.

Glad you two had a good time at the party! And VIVA, you should know, they actually dressed to match my tablecloths...SPILLIE in turqoise and ROCKER in lime green. It was quite amusing, to say the least. ROCKER - I'm so sorry to hear about your DGF and your mom's friend. I'm glad you could at least forget about all of this cr*p for a few hours on Saturday. I don't know why you're being tested, either, but you will come out stronger on the other end. Actually, you are already. Had a blast at the wedding yesterday. My knee is kinda rebelling today, but that's okay...it was worth it. I love nice big, fun weddings. And it was really a good day for it. No rain, thank goodness. A little warm for the guys in suits during the ceremony, but they all survived! SPILLIE and ROCKER - did you happen to meet my friend Mike? (Mike and Nancy?) He's who went with me to the wedding, since DH had to go to New York yesterday. Anyway, that's it from me for now...I'll try to check back in later. Hope y'all are having an okay Monday... |

That biotch bride from Sunday a week ago is STILL on one. She called on Friday and I gave her my bosses #....she called over the weekend and left a message on his VM and a lengthy one at that. He's called me twice this morning to get the facts straight before he calls her back. THis is the one I told you about that might end up in court.
BTW....I still have that flucking fountain and I don't care at this point if anyone comes to get it. 'Nuff said. :mad: |
