Okay today I am doing back flips. IT'S MY LAST DAY!!!! I can't wait till it is really tomorrow. :D I hope all had a wonderful long relaxing weekend. Even though I had to work on Sat. and Sun. I still had a great weekend. Yesterday the whole family went to Neshaminy Park and had a very nice cookout. Really not much else to report; I will be at home and all over the place the next couple of days looking for apartments but I will still be online from time to time. Morning CHICKIES! ROCKER GOT SOME SLEEP IN HER NICE COOL APARTMENT LAST NIGHT!!!!! Slept like a baby too. I got home and the lights were on that are plugged into that outlet. I dunno what the problem was...will find out tomorrow.
Talked to the P's last night: my DGF is not well. Dad says he lost another 20 pounds while they were up here. He's supposed to have some kind of surgery tomorrow. WTF? Why would they even operate in the condition he's in? GAH that makes me so mad. Ever see that commercial where the man is just shuffling along, then ahs this surgery and he can walk better? That's what my GF is having tomorrow...I don't knwo the technical name for it. Apparently there's oxygen tanks all over the house for him. Talked to my granny last night too and she's relly beside herself. So, I dunno what's going to happen. Other than tha, not much else is new. Have a lot of contracts to do plus appts. this morning so I guess I better get to it. SPILLIE-VIVA-TWIDDLE-DUTCHIE: have a great day! |

I just got up and man do I feel great. First time in who knows how long since I was able to sleep without worry. K, my nephew and I put the AC in last night in my room and in K's room so I slept even better. CHICKIE hope all goes well for your GF; I will keep him in my thoughts. TWIDDLE and VIVA...where have you both been? Did you gals go to the shore without us? DUTCHIE hope to *see* you here soon; congrats on the new job. Both you and I will be starting our new jobs on the same day. YEAH!!! Well not much else going on, I'm going to get ready and head out the door to go see apartments. Hopefully I will find something today. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! |

Good morning. Quick check-in. I have work to do this morning to fix something that someone messed up. I wonder what they did without me here yesterday?!
I'm going back to Weight Watchers meetings tonight. I gotta do this and get back on track. My goal is to be back down my WW goal weight (155 lbs) by the time I leave for vacation which is August 19th. ROCKER: I hope GF feels better. I'll be thinking about him today for his surgery. SPILLIE: Good luck apt. hunting. Call me and let me know how it goes! DUTCHIE: Congrats on the new job! Yahoooooo! AND a short commute :) Hey TWIDDLE! Ok, gotta go. I have to leave early today b/c I have a dentist appointment. What fun! |

ROCKER - Sorry to hear about your DGF. Hope all goes okay for him. SPILLIE - Good luck with apartment shopping - hopefully you'll have quick success! VIVA - I hear ya about getting back on track. I've been back from vacation a 2.5 weeks but I'm still eating like I'm on vacation. I keep adding, and that's gotta stop. NOW. Good luck with meetings! DUTCHIE - Hope you're going well. Congrats on the new job! I had faith that it wasn't going to take you too long. And glad to hear how nice and close it is for you, too. Not much here. Was home sick yesterday. A little too much partying all weekend...between drinking and being in the sun and not taking care of myself nutritionally... I'm better today, but just wish I could've stayed home. Work just doesn't thrill me at all anymore. I'm so indifferent...don't love it, don't hate it...it just "is." *sigh* Oh well, only I can change that. Hope you're all okay. I think I need to go for a walk at lunch. SPILLIE - Guess I missed our chance to go to TJ's yesterday, huh? Sorry!! Have a good one...I'll chat with y'all later. |

Morning CHICKIES. Just got in...have to work tonite to accomodate appts. Did not have a good night last night...was up most of it thinking about my Grandpop...all I kept seeing were images of when he was healthy. He's in surgery right now...at least I think so. My P's said they'd call with any news.

So I had WI this morning and I'm up 3.4 pounds. Not mad/upset or anything along those lines. I'm chalking it up to not being able to work out this week b/c of my sore throat, AND not being able to get down the foods I'm supposed too (ie: veggies and things like that). All I could manage was lots of noodles and ice cream bars (they were lf/ff though). So today's a new day and I'm moving on!!!!! :D YAY ME! Talked to the P's last night: grandpop came through the surgery ok, had a tough time in recov but was eventuall moved to his own room. Get this: he may come home today! (WTF? Don't really get that but whatever). Here's what they did: shaved the one part of his head, inserted a tube that runs thru his head and down thru his body into his stomach. I'm not sure of the particulars, but it's supposed to help drain the fluid/keep the fluid from accum. in his brain, thus causing horrific headaches and effecting his mobility. The doctor said everything went well, so I guess time will tell. Thanks to each of you for your continued prayers and for putting up with my nervousness. The only family I have are my P's and GP's...that's it with the exception of you CHICKIES! :hug: Anywhoo.....guess what happened to me on the way to my office? I stopped up at the main building to copy some things, was in my car almost to the stop sign when I heard a thud and saw feathers flying. I had just picked up my coffee when this happened. Now I had all 4 windows down b/c my AC doesn't work. A FLIPPIN BIRD FLEW INTO MY CAR!!!!!!!!! OMFG...I quickly pulled over and it was still alive but hurt. I put my hazzards on and took my ice scraper and umbrella and FINALLY got it out. I apologized to it and put it in the grass. The damn thing scared me to death. I have this thing about birds anyway. I thought I could just get it out with my scraper but when I got it near the beak it snapped at it. I'm thinking GREAT...it has rabies. all the while cars kept passing me--even a cop car--and do you think someone would stop to see if I was ok? NO. I mean, I had both back doors open and my trunk and am standing there with my ice scraper and umbrella poking at the inside of my car. So, that's how my morning's gone! SPILLIE: any luck finding apts.? VIVA: how was class? TWIDDLE: HEY WOMAN...I'm calling you out. HAH! You know I wouldn't forget you! ;) DUTCHIE: how are things? Congrats on the new job! OMG ROCKER...these people here at work are going to think I'm even crazier than I really am! I was LMFAO at your bird story. I LOVE how you apologized to the bird. That's great!!
And the Umbrella & Ice Scraper thing cracks me up...did you have a cow tail in your mouth the whole time? ;) :D Way too funny... Thanks for that laugh this morning --- I needed it!! |

You know, it's a good story in its own right, but when you actually visualize ROCKER out there on the road dealing with it, it's down right hilarious. Sorry about that incident, R. And I just saw your post about DGF. Continued prayers and :hug: for you and your family.
SPILLIE - What's up with the apt hunting?? VIVA - Anything exciting planned for the weekend? Not much going on here. Scrambled to get some yardwork done last night before the storms hit. We have out-of-control bamboo that was taking over the yard. I got most of the excess chopped down, and started to go after my veggie garden (that has no veggies in at the moment, but I'm hoping to plant some this weekend, if I can get it prepped first). Tonight is a crazy happy hour for a girl (one of my drinking buddies) who is leaving the company. I'm assuming I'll be hungover tomorrow. No other plans for the weekend. Hope you all have a good Friday and weekend!! |
