Good Morning Chicas,

I was out yesterday from work, I had to go to NY to the Dominican Consulate to get a letter for K allowing E to put him back on the plane home. I was so pissed, nothing got accomplished, they wanted his birth certificate. Which I don't understand why since K has a passport. That should be enough ID for the purpose of the letter considering that it has a picture on it and a birth certificate does not. So needless to say I went to NY for nothing and now I have to make another trip. Luckily I found out that they are open on Saturday's 9 - 1, so I guess I'll be taking a trip up there soon. At least I can't complain to much because it was gorgeous out yesterday, so I got to play a little. See TWIDDLE, I followed your advice to get out yesterday. :D Today is going to be torture being in this office...temps are going up to the 80's. I'm going to try and walk for lunch since I couldn't walk this morning from 2nd street. I have a blister on my ankle that is killing me. When I tried to walk this morning to the train station I was in so much pain that I decided not to walk from 2nd street. Now I feel like chit for not doing it.

ARE WE NOT JOURNALING ANYMORE? I thought it was till the end of the month?!?

CHICKIE sorry to hear about your GP's. I hope today will be a better day for you.

HELLO VIVA and DUTCHIE.

Well that's all for me for now. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

RockerChick 04-20-2006 08:16 AM

Morning CHICKIES! ROCKER's feeling much better today, all except for the bad cramps :( ...damn TOM--why oh why does it have to arrive at the most inopportune times????? GAH...tomorrow I'm leaving at noon then S and myself are heading down to the arena hopefully around 2-2:30 to do a little http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/13/13_4_9.gif before the 7pm game! HAH! The Soul are sponsoring a tailgate party beginning at 4pm...also that night the Phillies are playing and the circus is in town. Has the makings of a parking NIGHTMERE so just another reason to head down early. I can't go at it too hard b/c I have to be at work by 9:30 on Sat!

My GF is still in the hospital but will hopefully be coming home today. I actually called him yesterday and we talked for a little bit...he almost started crying which in turn led me to do the same thing. I tried my best to hold myself together so I'm hoping he didn 't pick up on it. I also talked to my GM...she's hanging in there the best she can...she told me she wishes I was there. Now she hasn't said that for a really long time. Both conversations pulled at my heart strings...SIGH.

Other than that, not much else is new. Guess I better get a move on. SPILLIE-TWIDDLIE-VIVA-DUTCHIE: Have a great day!

I was afraid to try myself, but on the Core board they keep talking about it. I bought some a while ago and just let it sit until I could figure out what to do with it. So I asked on the board and they said to cook it just like brown rice. I did and WOW I can't stop eating it now. I really like it, I made it like I would brown rice and vegetables and it was great. I do think I added a little more chicken broth than what I should have because it came out a little mushy but now I know for next time. I plan on making it like I would my spanish rice and beans. YUMMY!!

Do you have to get in in a specialty store? It sounds yucky but I may give it a whirl some time. When I'm feeling brave. :D

Good morning. I have to go to the eye doctors at 11:30am for my follow up appointment. I don't necessarily feel like going, but I must! What's the point in paying him so that he can tell me my eye looks good when I already know that?

Other than that, nothing to report.

SPILLIE: Sorry to hear you had to go to NY yesterday. Did you take the train?

ROCKER: ((HUGS)) Hope your GF gets out of the hospital! Have fun tomorrow.

Hi Dutchie and Twiddle!

RockerChick 04-20-2006 09:11 AM

ROCKER hasn't journaled this week. There. I said it. So now it's out there. I have a hard time doing it when PMS/TOM hits hard like it did this week.

SPILLIE 04-20-2006 09:36 AM

I bought the Bulgar in the nut shop here in CC. But I'm sure you can get it at TJ's. I have also read that you can get it at your grocery store in the grain aisle. I haven't looked in Shoprite for it so I'm not sure.

It is so gorgeous out. I wish I were home running after the ice cream truck with all the other kids. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_76.gif
