  • Boy, I have to say I'm liking this sunshine!! It's that time of year where a gal just loves spending more time outdoors instead of indoors!

Yesterday I was up on the roof cleaning out the gutters while James was cleaning out his truck, I would have to say, I was done before he was!

Cristi--Congratulations on the weightloss!!! Hurray for you!! Keep up the work you're doing!! Taking the day off Wednesday sure made my week short! Today is my early day and I only worked 3 days this week! I had a great time w/James, he took me out to dinner. Was nice to get away from the house and just be together.

Jane--How in the world do you touch of gray w/an eyebrow pencil?? I was trying to picture that and just couldn't do it!

Katy--So what exactly are you doing to your yard? I must have missed it somewhere as to what it is you're doing. Sounds like a lot of work!

Angie--I think a thread for venting is a marvelous idea! Do you think that the chitchat thread would survive though if we did? I'm ready for some yard sales myself. I watched a show of the yardsales that go through a couple states...not sure what its called. But it sure looked like fun!

Anita--You can always vent! We all do and it always makes you feel better when you let it out. I hope he came to his senses and apologized for being a $%#$#@%!!!!

Hello to all the rest of the JL's!!

Since it is my early day I need to get in gear and get ready for work.

    Have a great weekend!!

  • Below was another post from my parents group.

Hope you are feeling better Ang!

    (((Anita)))))

I agree Marti. If there was a vent thread I would never come back to chitchat.......lol

    SOoooooooooo happy for you Crist!!!

    Going home to rest......super tired.......zzzzzzzzzzzzz

So, Mike came and picked up Gaby on time.

My mom and I were in the basketball area watching Gaby ride her
    tricycle, she loves that.

He walked in the parking lot and we said "Gaby your daddy is here!"
    and she came with us.

    She goes......Mike?

    No, Gaby, daddy.

    Mike?

    No, daddy.......

Maybe she meant daddy Mike because I do call him that with her. She
    calls R & R father Papa.

He bent down and she hugged him. She coughed and he asked what I was
doing about her cough?? I said....she doesn't cough with me and he
should at least consider that fact that he smokes and maybe that
bothers her. She doesn't cough with me. He said he would take her to
the doctor himself.......whatever. I just took her 3 weeks ago and
the doctor said to tell him not to smoke around her.

So, I told him I would walk to his car. My mother came behind us and
we started out for the hike.

I asked him where he parked and it ended up being around the corner.
    Not too far.

He still had the old car seat and I said that wasn't
    proper.....tsk,tsk. I sound like a school marm....

He said he knew and I offered mine but he didn't seem to take me up
    on that offer.

He strapped her in the car seat and shut the door.

By now my mother is there and saying...... it was hard, that we
needed to be civil for Gaby's sake and that we still were holding
onto anger from our relationship....(yes, she spit this out in a few
seconds -in front of my residents who were sitting in front of the
building having a smoke......lol - gotta love mom!! woooo hoooo)

I just rolled my eyes and said "thanks Dr Phil"

I asked Mike where he was spending the weekend and he said he didn't
have to tell me. Actually he does , per my lawyer........and the
court order.I said "are you refusing to tell me??" and he said yes.

k- didn't bother me because now I can do a visitation enforcement and
he can explain to the court why he isn't telling me.

Off they went. Gaby is so cute. She was wearing a cute yellow
sweater, yellow socks, white sandals, blue jumper.....seemed happy as
    a lark.....lol

    I love her so much.

    anyway, better go!
  • Hiya ladies,

Angie - thanks for asking about the family! Actually, it's Neal's back that's hurt. He is still limping and won't be part of the team after all. But at least he kicked butt during the one game he played, so he went out in a blaze of glory! Caylin is the one who got burned, and Mary's keeping vitamin E on it so it doesn't scar. Makenzie still has flu-like symptoms, but is better.

Cristi - YAY for the great weigh in!!! You are so close to Onederland!!! Hope you get your fence done soon! Yep, the van looks so nice, and it makes me feel better driving a nice clean vehicle! Silly, but true.

Marti - lol, I use the eyebrow pencil to touch up the grey roots where the part is. Now I've been trying to train my hair to just be brushed backwards, with bangs, so there's no distinct part line.

Hello to everyone else! Neal wants to watch a movie, so I need to finish this and get. Maggie and I hung out together today. We went to a flea market and had lunch and also spent some time at the Hallmark House. She seems to be doing pretty good, considering. Well, I better go....

    Have a good one!!
