Howdy Everyone:
Good afternoon: I am still at work avoiding working. LOL ;) Turtle: so great to see you post! YOu are going to be find..you will find your own OP. You need to build up your exercise. Everything is a victory. Parking a little further away from the grocery store, walking an extra step of stairs, or just leg lifts at your desk. Today I am dancing around my office. I am sure I look like a fool and luckily no one has came in. LOL Angel: Small changes stick better with some than big changes. Great job!! Rained here just now..poured for 5 minutes..sun is now out. You can feel fall in the air. Mowed the lawn last night and the wind was blowing my hair everywhere. Petra: I know sugar can trigger something. LOL I really like splenda now. Most of my sugar is coming from fruits and veggies. I did eat cheese cake this weekend. LOL BUt I counted my points. IT was good! Late bday celebration with my sil. I didn't keep the cake at my house..took it to hers. LOL That is a way to stay OP. Sun: I haven't really decided my goal weight yet. WW says 144, although I cheated on my height a little to get the higher side. I figured I would decide when I am close to 175. Momx3: I want to be in onederland by Halloween. I KNOW I can lose 2 lbs a week until then. I do have to increase my exercise and exercise my butt off literately. :ebike: LOL I have 2lbs to lose for my Labor Day challenge which I have 3 weigh in to do. I am pretty sure I loss this week. I see the scale going down. We have 11 weeks. SO I want to lose 26lbs and be in onderland. We can update our challenge for the Not So Scary Scale when we do WI every week. I will put everyone that wants in on a spread sheet and keep track or do we want to do the honor system. It doesn't matter to me. |
I like the accountability thing but that's just my vote. I'll go with the majority. I'm averaging about 1 lb a week so I should make it.
|
why dont we all shoot for 25 lbs? by halloween? i like the weigh in idea... oooo 26 lbs would put me at 220 wooooo i like the sound of that.. and onederland by christmas!!!!!!!!!
man i feel like crap mother nature is really workin me over... this is the 3rd day i have had these killer cramps (tom) ive never had cramps this bad.. i did drag myself in to workout tho.. geeeeeeeeez! :( |
hey chickees
just another quick fly by for me. I have been working 12 hour days for the past 3 days, so just taking a few minutes to lay on the couch before I make myself some dinner. i think the deadlines are done now, so hopefully back to some what normal Friday. Hope you have all been taking care of yourself and are looking forward to the weekend. ciao for now !! |
I'm so excited, I found dog proof furniture on the internet. It looks like it was actually designed for homes for the mentally challenged but has been used by all sorts of other people including people with multiple pets. It doesn't take much to excite me, obviously but I have been putting off replacing my VERY worn out living room furniture until I could find something the dogs wouldn't just beat up again. This stuff ain't cheap and it isn't sexy but it should do the trick. It also looks like it will weigh a ton. LOL
|
at my house its the cats.. excuse me 1 cat who likes to shred the backs of furniture.. and when my dog chai was a pup he had a taste for coffee tables.. lol
I'm getting one of those metal futons to replace my sofa just cuz they are cheap! then i am going to take 2 flat sheets and make covers for the mattress that goes on it.. that way i can just toss the cover in the wash whenever it gets messed up. i also got one of those sphere "moon" chairs at target for 39.00 I tell ya thats the most comfortable chair.. but my living room is a work in progress.. i still have to figure out how to get my parents hand me down furniture out of here... and then how to get rid of it once i get it out of the house... lol when will this new halloween challenge start?? p.s. tea gimme that lolli lol |
Curly-there are people who will come and haul away "junk" for a nominal charge. That's how I got rid of my swing set and that's how I will get rid of my current furniture.
I currently have a futon but the dogs have beaten that up too. You can buy a plastic mattress cover for it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They also make commercial futon covers relatively inexpensively that are like big sleeping bags for the mattress you just zip on and off and throw in the washer. That's what I do. Washed mine yesterday in fact. This furniture is good for cat owners too because it has wood in the places that cats usually shred and the upholstered parts can be easily replaced. The website is www.comfy1.com if you want to check it out. |
Petra:oooo that looks nice.. they all have nice lines also kinda classic looking! bet its pricey tho!
LISA: fill us in on the challege details |
Pricey but if I don't have to replace it every couple of years because the dogs tore it to shreds it might be worth it. You should see what they have done to my current furniture--actually, you shouldn't
I would probably only be able to afford to buy one piece at a time. It's all custom made. |
haha i have 3 cats and a dog who likes to chew in my house... i can imagine!!
|
We have two sets of furniture. One is in the living room and one is in the family room. Our dog thinks that the leather furniture in the living room belongs to him. If we are not around that is where you will find him. He is such a good dog that I don't mind but if we come in the room he knows to jump down. Oh and he is a rotweiller and that breed loves to sleep on their backs so just picture a 115-120 pound rot laying on your sofa on his back. One night my dh fell asleep on the floor and when he woke up he was on the floor and the dog was on the couch.
I have been posting my weight according to curves but I also weigh at home for some other challenges I am doing so I think I will start using my at home weight on here because then I can update every week instead of once a month. Maybe everyone should weigh on Sunday and post that as their starting weight along with their own goal for Halloween. Today is dd 2 year birthday and we are having a birthday party tomorrow so I have to go clean my house. Anyone want to come help. :^: |
Good Morning!!
Petra: You can list it on freecycle and someone will actually haul it away. You know someone else's trash is always someone's treasure. I need child proof furniture. M has mine in such sad shape. LOL She does couch gymnastics on it both upstairs and downstairs. I want new furniture but not in the budget at this time. Curly: I guess the challenge starts this week. I will make up a list of everyone and post once a week how much we have loss toward the challenge. I am striving for 27lbs. THat will put me in onderland. So I have you(25lbs), Petra(wasn't it about 12lbs?), Momx3(27lbs?), and me(27lbs). Anyone else? Just post and I will get starting numbers and when you WI I will deduct from there. I really feel like I am doing all the right things now. I do need to increase my exercise. I bought some RS videos on amazon last week. Only 1 has came in Disco Sweat. I watched it while cleaning M's room last night. Richard was loud in this and the music was softer. LOL I will still put it in the surround sound and crank it up. LOL Hope everyone has a great day! I will check in later. I have work to do today. LOL Lisa Wyoming |
Lisa - You posted right after me. I weighed in this morning and I am down to 220. I would like to lose 25 by Halloween. So my goal will be 195.
|
id like to use 220 as my halloween goal ... just hope its not to much to wish for!!!
|
Hi Gang - got a free minute so thought I would check in with everyone.
A challenge may be what I need. My WI in on Monday so I will start then and my goal will be to lose 25 lbs by Halloween. If I get my head in the right space and my butt in gear then I can pull it off. Okay gotta get back to work... TGIF :D |
