How is it going? I had a pretty good day. yesterday I thought I lost it because at the mall I had a chicken and rice dish and it wasn't that good but I ate it and counted the points. It houhgt I would be starving because it wasn't dinner time when I ate it but I basically used up all my points for the day but, there was so much sodium in it and I was so bloated that I didn't even feel hungry at all. thank goodness. l2l, good job on the president challenge. I signed up but havnt put in much. ahhh...my son is bugging me to walk to the park, I'll finish addressing you all later. Jennie |

Hi Everyone. :wave: I just finished making some more muffins.:chef: Apple, cinnamon and walnuts this time. I enjoy taking them for breakfast when I go to work.
I am still dealing with my fridge problem. They fixed it last Friday for $200 and Saturday it was not working again. He came back out yesterday and thinks he found the problem and it will only cost $150 more. :rolleyes: What do you think I'm made of money. :nono: Oh well it has to get fixed because we are all tired of getting things out of the fridge in the garage. I went to curves this morning and the lady working there was asking me how much weight I have lost because she says she can really tell a big difference. She is my new best friend. ;) TTYL |

Hi ladies. I've gotten a couple compliments on my weight loss recently too. Yesterday, a secretary who has been out on sick leave for a couple months came back and said "wow" when she saw me. A patient today was also going nuts because she hadn't seen me in about 3 months. I was also wearing a dress I hadn't worn in about 2 years today which showed off my weight loss.
Curly-I make ricotta pancakes almost every weekend with ricotta cheese and almond flour but you can also use oat flour in them. They are quite good. If you don't have Dana Carpender's cookbook, you should think about getting it. She has several pancake recipes in it, as well as low carb recipes for just about everything you can imagine. I got home from work late again tonight because I had an emergency family meeting with one of my patients. What a mess. This family is so incredibly dysfunctional and then they wonder why their 20 year old daughter has problems. Anyway, I went to the gym and got my workout in. TTYL. I"m on call tomorrow. Should be interesting trying to take power yoga with a pager and cell phone. |

well today i work till 12:30 and then i am off until tuesday the 16th... wooo hoo! I am so burned out... i need some time off. Petra i don't know how u do it.. by the end of the day my head is so full of everyones stories.. it feels like my head will explode I answer the main phone line at a medical insurance company.. and people will call to ask about their claims and i swear they end up telling me their medical history.. so a simple question turns into a 10 min call.. and while they are telling me the entire story i have 6 other lines ringing off the hook! Not to mention the ones who call up cussing me.. hello.. Im a secretary.. i do not write the regulations or create your deductible or co pay..... oh geezzzzzzz not to mention that i have reports to do.. letters to type @ 200 a day and work 6 days a week, for really crappy pay.. lmao Shew.. thanks for letting me get that all out... thank goodness i have found my ladies workout express! ( its a curves clone with 24 stations) talk about burning up some stress.. i find by the time i have done the complete circuit my head is empty again lol Lately ive been doing an hour instead of the 30 min.. i'll just do double.. OK tonight is my dinner date.. i am so excited and happy & nervous... havent seen each other since @ jan I am hoping for a good hair day... and a feeling "thin" day since 80% of it is confidence...eeeks have butterflies in my tummy at 730 am and i have till @ 8 pm to go! its gonna be a longgggg day lol |

I am still around and still doing WW. I have been so busy! We had Frontier Days. DIdn't do too well that week because I went to the carnival and rodeo. I gained 1.2 but it could of been worst. This was my first gain in 14 weeks and really hit me hard. I am struggling to get back on track with exercise. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. DH and M bought me an exercise ball and weights for my bday. I bought M a new bike for my bday. LOL I had to take her to the doctor to get her shots for school and she had a reaction to them and dh had dental work done on Monday and spent 4 hours in the chair so I have been living with grumps the last few days. I am hoping I am back on track. Congrats to all the losers!!! I promise I will keep up better now. Lisa Wyoming |

man where does time go. I can't believe its already wednesday and the day is almost over.... I went and joged in the park today, for about 3 summers, I have tried to jog at this park near us, it is a 2 mile ring, 1/2 in up hill, and the other down and its pretty rough I have never been able to do it. This summer I havn't even tried, I've mostly been inside at the Y but this morning I was like oh, let me go to the park, well, I made it all the way around and then some with out even stoping. Yeah, my new goal is to be able to do a 10K this fall so I think that would be about 2 1/2 times around. We'll see how it goes. Eating been OK, I do great during the day then kind of lose it at dinner. I'm not totally off my points or anything but I should be eating less and I know it. Curly, sounds like you are gettin a much need vacation. Enjoy it. Mom and Petra, don't you love those compliments. I'm losing so fast I kind of feel like no one notices but eventually they will. Tea, hey girl, hope your week is going well. Lisa, get back on that plan fast. A lot of times I let a slipp up be and excuse to fall off. Had a long day but I went to power yoga tonight, and my pager didn't even go off. I called all the ERs first to make sure no one needed anything. It has been a really busy week and it isn't even a full moon. What is going on? I have a few days off next week and I sure am going to need them. |

Don't you wish you could sometimes stop time so that you could get caught up on all the things you have to do.. Argg.. one day it will all come together. I seem to be totally off track on the whole eating thing. I haven't been eating overly terrible, but somedays I hardly eating anything and other days I am eating things I really shouldn't be eating. I am still struggling with what program to follow. I know I do better if it is more structured.. but then I get those feelings like I am depriving myself and then I think about "bad" foods all day long. :?: Hubby thinks I should go get my blood checked as I seem to be able to put on weight very easily. Oh there is something to be said about people who are comfortable with the skin they are in.. I wish mine came with a receipt so that I could return it :lol: Okay enough of that !! Curly - hope you have a wonderful time on your date. I am sure you will awesome in your little black dress and he will be starry eyed. Petra ~ I am glad that you made it to your class without your pager and phone going off. Lisa ~ good to "see" you. Sounds like you are keeping as busy as ever. Happy Belated Birthday !! I need help :?: I am just going with the flow here and trying to keep myself in check, but I feel like my tires are spinning in mud with time management. We are on mandatory overtime which are 50+ hour weeks. I get up at 3:00 a.m. so I can wakeup and exercise (Richard Simmons), and then I do Pilates when I get home to stretch (because I have a cubicle job). When is it appropriate to eat before and after exercise. Is there a time limit. I can't seem to time it so I don't get gut rot (I eat like an apple or an orange 10 to 15 mins before exercise in a.m.) then I eat breakfast at 8 a.m. at work usually a nutrition bar or oatmeal. What are the correct things to eat before exercising and how long should I wait before I exercise. I am missing the boat and need some help, :^: I hope all is well...and where is turtle...I hope she is okay. When people are MIA I get worried. TTYS! Love & Hugs, L2L |
I am home from work for the rest of the week!!! I have to take the baby to the doctor for her 2 year check and shots. :( She is so good with the shots and recovers before we leave the room but it gets harder and harder the older they get until they are teen then the probably did something to deserve it. :lol: Tomorrow I am supposed to finally get the fridge fixed.
Lookin - You are doing so great!!! Wow getting up at 3 am to exercise. :queen: As far as eating I think you need to eat protein at least after the workout (I try to do it within an hour after) and the fruit before sounds good but I am not an expert. The most important thing is how do you feel? If you are feeling good I say you are doing it right for you. :D Tea - I know it's hard. Thinking about pizza is probably going to drive me to a visit with Petra. :crazy: Sometimes you have to give into the cravings just a little. If you want ice cream have one bite just to satisfy. This works for alot of women I know. South Beach has been good for me as far as the cravings. The pizza is all habit not because I feel I need it. Phase II of the diet is going well. I have added back apple and a ww muffin and that makes me feel like I have more options. Petra - I decided that my depression is caused by TOM because it happened again this month. I should not watch TV, think about my kids, talk to my family or just about anything else 'cause I just want to cry. However I am just weepy not overwhelmed or anything. I don't feel like I am really depressed just crying alot over whatever event sets me off. Then I get on with my day and I am fine. You are doing very well with your exercise. ;) I hope you enjoy your time off. Jennie - That is a great achievement about the park. Keep it up and that 10k will be easy for you by the fall. :cool: Lisa - Welcome back!!! Curly - Your job sounds very stressful. I really hate rude people. Be nice to me and I will be nice to you!! I always try to remember that it is usually not the person I am talking to that is at fault so treat them the way I would want to be treated. I hope your date went well. Post, Post, Post!!!!! :lol: |

I had yet another long, torturesome day at work. Now I'm being tortured by a yellow lab. :lol: I don't have to be in until 10 tomorrow so I'm thinking I might go exercise in the am before work. I'm not a morning person so this could be interesting. Curly-I had something you would enjoy for dinner. I had steamed blue crabs. We had them in our grocery store for some strange reason so I thought I'd have them just for a change of pace. A lot of work for a little bit of meat. I might have mentioned there's a music festival in town. I have tickets to the Christian concert tomorrow night-Zoegirl. I have second row seats. Should be good. TTYL |
