  • Hey everyone!!!! Well today was a day of challenges but I did pretty good. I had to go to a horrible meeting in place of my boss. I hate these meetings and they have them twice a month. Yuk! Anyway they served us box lunches with chicken salad sandwich (I ate half) and I threw away the chips and I took a choclate sugar free pie (which was the best choice...it was that or my favorite strawberry cheesecake). Then I got back to work just as they were cleaning up the Cinco De Mayo luncheon and I passed on that... and I love mexican food. So I think I made pretty good choices today. I had my weigh in today and I lost 3.6lbs!!!! I am soooooo glad May is here and April is over. Hopefully I have broken past that plateau I had hit in April. I have lost 38lbs and 32 since I offically joined WW. Not only did I hit my 10% but I lost an additional 3lbs. (I only needed 6oz to make 10%). I am so excited!!!!! Wooooo Hoooooo!!!!! It sounds like everyone has been making good choices, and doing well. I will try to get on later. Hubby needs the computer so my time is running out. In case I don't get back on tonight I hope everyone has an outstanding day tomorrow!!!!!
  • Mornin'
    Hey-good mornin'!

Kim - You go girl!! That is awesome - 2 pounds and even going away for a fun weekend.

Am doing ok - yesterday was a better day than I've had in a while emotionally. Things were clicking, (not necessarily food wise, but one step at a time ). Got to have coffee w/a friend last night - 2 hours worth of girl time and it was great!!!!! Decided we'd do a book study together, and we are also TRYING to do the weight thing, but figured this would be a good start. God is so good!

Have a busy day today - but counting down the days until I go to the beach next week - looking forward to time away and time "w/mom".

Hope you all have a great day - it's going to be sunny here!!! YAY!! Maybe I"ll ACTUALLY GO for a walk - wouldn't that be an amazing thing??
    Anyway - gotta scoot!
  • Where Is Everybody????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????
  • WOW! Sarah, do you think we have been abandoned? I have not seen this place this empty since I started posting here!! Hmmmmmmm. Hope everyone is ok!!!!
  • Wow!! I thought it would take me awhile to catch up!! Not. I can't believe it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo quiet here!! Where did everyone go?? Hey, Kim and Sarah!!!! Hopefully everyone else will stop in and chat. I'll check back later to see if anyone has surfaced.
  • HELLO...HELlo...HEllo...Hello...hello.......this place is so deserted there is an echo!!
  • Hey Val!! I'm here!!
  • hey ladies! Its been a long time. The week before my trip was so busy I didn't have time to read your posts. I am trying to get through them and I am only up to page 24 but wanted to post to let you know I didn't fall off the face of the earth.

My trip was awesome!!!! I loved it. Andrea you were right about the food being awesome.. We ate at TJ Ribs and TExas Steak house and they were awesome. We did visit New Orleans for the day and I went over board on drinks. I barely could stand up. Was not proud of myself. My inlaws must think I am a drunk. Anyway I sleep the way home and ended up going to be around 10pm..haha.. Did not eat dinner that night. I do realize how much I miss bowling myself tho.

We are back and I can't get back on program. My eating junk is out of control and I won't get on the scale. ugg..

Jilly that is an awsome story. It reminds me the first time I made goal. I noticed the same changes and it was motivating then I got pregnant and went to town cause I could not attend. I was lost and need to find my way back and I am sure everyones motivating stories will do the trick.

I went on a job interview today so ladies keepyour fingers crossed! I also have another one on tuesday..

WEll let me get back to reading more posts.
  • For sore earings you can paint them with clear nailpolish and then they won't hurt. I have major allergies and I do that and have no problems. Try it. Paint the post and the back and it works really good... cover it all..

AS far as 2/3 year old boy problems. i have a few to add.. My son at 2 went to the emergency room for falling on my tile floor. turns out he had a crack on his nose (they couldn't do anything cause it was in place). EVery time he hits his nose or bumps it he cries in pain. I feel so bad for him. Last year he got stitches near his eye after falling into an end table. He ate balm ex before he was 2. Sprayed lysol in his eyes a few months ago. he balmexed my dog, lysoled my dog and cat, oh god i could go on forever but this is a few.. this is a child who climbed baby gates before he could walk..ug.. You know the commerical he won't make it to 4..thats my son..
  • Hi everyone! I haven't fallen off the planet or anything, but I'm very busy with my son here and my stepdaughter visiting also. I've had some trouble with my bank account that has me very stressed and it's all I can do to cook for everyone and keep them from being bored. Sorry I haven't posted much. I haven't even been able to do my online course like I'd like to, but hey...John is here for a relatively short amount of time. Please bear with me. I miss you and will be back.

Am doing well on the weight loss plan, though I splurged a little yesterday and today. I didn't really hurt myself too much, though--haven't even hit my calorie limit today. I am looking forward to Monday, because I think I will have a good loss to post.

Kim, congrats to you on your 2 pound loss, if I haven't already said so. That's awesome.

Val, you sound like you're doing well, too. And you're so busy with your kids! (As usual--you are such a great mom!)

Sarah, glad to hear you are in better spirits--keep looking forward!

Karyn! Glad to see you. I'm so glad your trip to Louisiana went well! I LOVE to eat when I'm there. And who wouldn't have a few drinks in The Big Easy!? You'll have to tell us more about your trip!

Well, I need to do some work on my online course. I'm reading, girls...I just don't have a lot of time to post right now...and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. But I love reading your posts and I'll pop in with something to say when I can!
  • Glad to see everyone!!
Sorry I missed you last night Paige, I was on and off pretty quickly as my kids were forming a line behind me to get on!!

I'm so glad to see that we haven't lost those of you that we haven't seen for a while. I will post more later, just wanted to pop in and say that
  • Good Morning!
Hi all! I got up for the fourth morning in a row and did my yoga. After missing 3 days in a row, that first morning I was a bit stiff, but now, I'm really feeling stronger and more flexible!

I just ate breakfast: 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt (all that was left in the container), a piece of whole wheat toast with a teeny bit of butter and 2 apple wedges. The apple was grainy. Ewww. I hate that, but the rest tasted good.

Paige--I wanted to give you a big congratulations on your big loss! Wowee! That's awesome!! You must feel so happy!

Oh--because my clothes are fitting better lately, I thought I'd take my measurements. I've lost some!

I started on March 15 with the following measurements:

    Chest--42"
    Waist--39"
    Hips---50"

    One month later:

    Chest--40"
    Waist--34"
    Hips---46"

    Today:

    Chest--40" same since last measuring
    Waist--32.5" down 1.5"
    Hips---45.5" down .5"

    Whoo Hoo!! I'm loving this!

Well, I just wanted to say good morning! Hope you are feeling chipper and enjoying your Saturday, too!
  • Hi everyone!!! I just got home from interviewing prospective teachers and then I stopped off at Costco and Super Walmart on my way home. So while hubby is unloading the car I thought I would sneak on the computer quickly!

Andrea- Wow!!!! What a difference in your measurements!!!!!!! That's why your clothes are getting so big! I wish I had taken my measurements when I started. I guess I could start now. Maybe I'll do that later today if I have time.

Today is cooking day!!!! So I have a few things to put in the crock pots and some chicken to make. Maybe I can get DH to clean up after I done!!!!! Cleaning the kitchen is not my favorite thing to do! Neither is laundry. If I ever win the lottery a housekeeper is at the top of the list!!!!

Anyway I have a ton of grocerys to put away. I hope everyone has a great weekend. And just in case I don't make it back on this weekend. Happy Mothers Day to you all!!!!!!!!!
  • Andrea as for my trip we spent alot of time in the bowling center but we arrived on thursday and didn';t do much. Went to Walmart and then the bowling ally. On FRiday we went to New Orleans. It was amazing. WE walked around at the shops. Ate at Pat O'briens. I splurged and had chicken jamablya (spelt it wrong). It was good. I always have the same thing but decided to go witht he flow this trip. Anyway I had 2 hurricanes with dinner. Then a beer at the casio (Harrahs and we walked outwinning some.) We like Craps. My hubby did really good at the slots. Then I had a large hurricane and walked around some more. I was dissappointed that we didn't get to go on a boat tour. I was hoping to go back Saturday for that early but it rained so we went to the bowling center and my hubby got a new ball at the tournament. WE went to TJ;s Ribs for dinner..mmmm so good it fell off the bone. WE went to the Baton Rouge casio after the tournament and had some hot dogs (i had only 1). We won at that casio too. it was cool. I would open my wallet and the table would loose I would close it and it would win, without putting money down I closed it quick and my hubby walked away a big winner.. like 400 dollars i think.. Sunday we got up late casuse we got in at 4am from the casino. WE went to a street fair near the bowling lanes and walked along the water there on the rocks. it was nice and warm that day. Hubby bowled that evening while I hung out in the room. The girls went around their last game and waited for them. then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.. oh so good. Monday morning hubby was sick as a dog for our trip home. Anyone been on a 400 person plane.. so cool.. everyone has their own tv.. cool.. you can watch a movie or cartoons you actually get a choice. Anywayhubby continued to be sick until yesterday when I took him to the doctor. Some people say it could have been the water.. ever heard of that? not sure.. I think it was the chili at the casino Saturday night..

Congrats on all the losses ladies.. hyou guys are doing so great. keep up the good work. I have been a little bumbed cause I am not pregnant yet..ugg.. gotta start getting healthy and maybe it will happen..

Anyway, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! to everyone! have a great relaxing day!
  • mother's day
Happy Mother's Day! Hope you all are having a great day! My hubby is officially spoiling me - went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's last night, and today, watched a girlie movie on Lifetime BY MYSELF - he's grilling hamburgers for dinner, and is giving me time alone - going for a walk later! Has been a good day - feel very blessed Overall, am feeling ok - missing mom here and there, but much better than last year. Last year's mother's day was unbearable. Today - just a heart hurt

We'll see about weighing tomorrow. Think I've done ok - but again, can do better. Looking forward to doing the book study w/my friend and getting ME back on track. Will be good to have someone here hold me accountable - you guys are great - I just can't go and have with you!

Gonna go and play on the computer some more. SUch a great day - and so blessed to be a mom. Enjoy your day -and your kids!
