  • Hey you Hot Chicks (and New Hot Chicks......)

HI - Thanks to your well wishes and prayers I'm alive and part time back..
I just came into work today to do payroll and check on afew things.
I missed you all tons. While I was recovering I thought about your stories and missed ya'll more....lol BUT some of them made me laugh too much and it hurt my stitches.....lol
Anyhow I'm leaving for today, but well yell back when I come back in maybe next week.
My surgery went really good, but was alittle more complicated than I had planned on...
    Hugs Biker Babes........
  • Well you all talk about the bad weather I am thinking wow it is November and we have only seen a few really cold days. It has been pretty good here. My son has been snowed in twice already in the mountains so at least I don't have to deal with that.

Glad to here your safe Star. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon.

Kathy sorry the subject is those great Starbucks drinks well try try to get off the subject but it is going to be very hard. Hat chick your drinks sound really yummy!

Was so sad to see Dr. Jeff go last night on BL. Did any one else watch. I can't believe thier down to the last 4 and the final episode is this month. I will miss watching it. OK so I guess one of guys will take it all. Maybe not but I think that is what is going to happen.

Well Chickies have a good one!
  • Hi ladies!

It's pretty late for me to post, but this was my only chance for the day. Dh is fast asleep and I am all alone with the "kids". My schedule at work has been nuts lately.

Star- Yeah! Yeah Yeah! I am so glad to see you back on here and to know that you are doing well. We really have missed you, lady!

Gina- I think that I would skip a "normal" breakfast for an occassional latte..yummy! Oh, and I have heard many people suggest the Torani syrups I need to go to our little coffee sho here and see if they sell it. I will drink my coffee black, but some sugar free syrup would really be great! Oh, and you lucky! Not having to deal with the crappy cold weather!

Kathy- Hey girl! I may sound totally stupid, but do you use sugar free Hersheys (the ice cream type) syrup in your coffee? Also, where are you from again?

Harley- Thanks for the relaxation suggestion. I really need to buy some caffeine free green tea for the times when I am sick or cold.

2Fru- Hope you're having a blast in Japan!

    Hi Holly!
  • Harley- i agree about Dr Jeff. I was really sad to see him go, but OMG!! His "after" pic was phenomenal! Even Dh said "WOW!!! He's skinny now"
  • OK I had to open my big mouth and it is snowing this morning. I looking out my window and it is coming down hard right now. I guess winter has arrived in Colorado.

It is 2 days to go before weekend! Then next week work 2 days and have the rest of the week off. Next Saturday is Gingerbread house making. I can hardly wait to get the holidays kicked off as it is my favorite time of the year! Not looking forward to the whole avoiding food thing. But I am keeping a positive attitude so I dont fall off the wagon during the holidays.

I am going to Hammonds candy factory this weekend. The still make candy by hand. They have the best candy canes around. It is cool because you can watch them make the candy when you go to the factory. I have been before so this is a second time around for me. I think it is one of very few left in the USA that does not use machines to make the candy. Very cool.

Well I am sorta of jumping the gun here as I still have today and Friday to work. I am on weekend mode already.

    Have a good one Chicks!
  • YAYYYYYY Star is back...kinda sorta but I'll take it!!! Hope you are back running on all cylinders soon. We missed you!

Harleymom...I think you pick all the fun stuff to do! You must be the coolest mom on the block. Well it's almost Friday now....closer than ever...I was sorry to see Dr Jeff go as well. But he looks amazing now.

Yet another wacky week for me at work...so I feel your pain Andrea! I don't see anything wrong with a latte for breakfast occasionally....the key is knowing how many calories are in there....they are more calories than they seem like they should be sometmes. Especially the bigger they get. I'm a coffee addict, I really enjoy my cup in the morning. It's a really big cup....almost a bowl

Hi Kathy - I like the sugar free chocolate syrup in the coffee plan....all right anything sweet with coffee is a plan....

Ok Gina..time to shut up now...
  • Yippee it is Friday! I am so glad it has just been the week from you know what. Anyhow sounds like you all are having the same kind of week.
Lost another 1.7 lbs this week for a total of 40.7 lbs. Going down, down, down.
    Have a great weekend all!!!!
  • I'm in brain fry today....spent the morning cleaning out my email....got a little out of control with the jokes....I plunked a pile of them here.

I had better at least pretend to get some work done today! Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend.....

    Harleymom....u rock!
  • WHOOOO HOOOO IT'S FRIDAY...AND I'M OFF WORK EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, I do have a house to clean...groan...

Harley- First off, another BIG HIP HIP HORRAY for your weight loss this week!!!! Oh, and I agreee with Gina you must be the coolest mom on the block. Your weekend plans sound like so much fun.

Gina- Thanks so much for the jokes! Everyone needs to pretend to work every now and then...keeps us somewhat sane. I am the same way with coffee. I used to hate, but now I have to have at least 1 small cup a day, but I prefer to drink lots of it.

This has been such an odd week. I am glad that its over. I swear my husband has the worst luck lately. Note to self...if it's lightening outside NEVER stand beside him!! The poor guy broke his finger this summer, then got laid off, then had a heart attack, earlier this week hit a deer and did about $3,000 in damange to the truck, THEN yesterday drilled through his finger at work!!! No bones were broken, but I guess he mangled it pretty bad. He's ok, though, just has a massive bandage and stitches. He's still working and everything. He was so shocked that in 16 years he had never done anything like that before. But, I remembered what one of you girls had said about motorcyles...there are those that have dropped/had an accident on the bike and there are those that will. Or something to that degree, so I told him that.

Tomorrow I am going to go and get my hair done. I really need to have it cut and thinned out somehow. It's becoming unruly. Wish me luck! LOL.

    Hi to everyone else!

    Ladies, have wonderful weekends!
  • Oh yeah, and I lost 4 pounds this past week...I need to lose 3 more to get to my end of November goal...not sure that it will happpen...but I may come close!
  • Andrea - That's so cool!!! Goodie for you!
  • Hi: Can a "triker" join your group. My husband has a trike. We have been riding for about 3 yrs. Love it. Have joined a triker club. The people who belong are loads of fun . We go on runs all the time. We live in AZ so the weather is very conducive to trike riding. I'm just the rider. I retired from driving a school bus for 19 years. Have no desire to drive a trike as of yet. Love being the backseat driver
  • Hi Hot Biker Babes....
Well I'm back at work this week....feeling okay, bottom is still very tender....
But I'm so over my cc problem, I'm totally normal now and it feels great. I'm thinking this will help my weight loss problem...(or keep my finger crossed anyhow)...lol
Okay, I won't be on here much this becuz it's a very short week, the temp didn't do anything and the worst, my aunt died yesterday and I'm thinking the funeral may be on Wed.....she was 80 and had bladder cancer. As a kid our families lived together, it was my dads family, his sisters family (that's the aunt) and our grandma...It was totally fun and we lived like that for like 8 years. So I'm really close with that aunt and uncle and those two cousins......(sorry to ramble)...
Anyhow I zoomed over the posts and seems like some of you are losing great - I'm really glad you didn't reach goal and move on to a maintenance thread while I was gone.....(selfish me...bad)...
I'll check you chicks later - it's good to be almost back...
    Hugs.....
  • Good Morning everyone!
Not much happened here this weekend. Oh yeah, I broke my toe. That was fun. I kicked my husbands toolbox that he placed right in my path without telling me. It's all black and blue and hurts like crazy to walk. Just when I was getting back into going to the gym. I'll be sticking to my recumbant bike for a while. Oh well, it could be worse! I could have run a drill through my finger. Sorry that wasn't funny rebel, how's your hubby doing? And the syrup I use is Toriani, you can find it by the coffee at the store. I branched out this weekend and tried the hazelnut (thanks Gina for the suggestion!), it was good too. Way to go on losing the 4 pounds!!!

Star, I'm glad you're doing better and I'm sorry to hear about your aunt.

Hey busdriver -you are most certainly welcome here! My parents live in the Phoenix area and have a trike too. My dad went out and bought a 2-wheeler this last year and my mom won't ride it with him until he practices more. She MAKES him go and ride. Oh the horror! She still goes out on the trike though.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I'm looking forward to this week - only 3 days of really hard work..hehehehehehe.... then shop shop shop!!!!

    Talk at you all later!
    Kathy

    P.S. Rebel, I'm in Idaho
  • Good morning ladies!

Ruth- Welcome! You are the only triker here, to my knowledge! I think they are pretty cool and my husband keeps trying to talk my parents into buying one. We're glad to have you join us!!

Star- I am so glad that you are back to work and feeling better. So sorry to hear about your aunt. Your family is in my thoughts . I agree with you about not posting much b/c of the short week.

Kathy- Owwww...a broken toe! I hear they are so painful... make sure that your hubby is totally catering to you...Maybe you get a nice little piece of jewelry or a house cleaning out of this ! Darn men!

Hi Gina, Holly, Harley and anyone else I may have forgot.

Only 2 days of work this week for me...YEAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Then I can be away from the little monsters.

My haircut turned out really good and I am so happy with it. I did tons of shopping this weekend. I bought some new shoes, a new black sequined hobo bag, new chandelier earrings and some makeup. I actually didnt spend too much, but it was nice to buy some things that I've been wanting for ages, but we didnt have the money for. I told Dh that I might start putting $25 or so a week into a jar and spending it on whatever I want...because that would be my cigaratte money. I think that would be a great idea~! I messed up on the diet AGAIN this weekend. Not awfully, but still not healthy. I really have no clue how to behave myself on weekends.

Well, have a great Monday everyone!
