The heck with offering him a ride on by DH Bike. I should have offered him one on mine. He would have really been his pants. 2frus you are right he should be more afriad of me. Society get with the 2000's is all I got to say.

Reb Yes I do have tatto's 3 of them one great big one on left shoulder, Orchad with peacock feathers. Right breast Betty Boop left breast purple rose with DH name. Love tatoo's. DH falls asleep when getting them now he has so many. He is almost completey sleeved. Maybe has room for some fill in.

Eddie Medfast wow that is ambitious. I decided to take it slow and steady. I started Jenny Craig on July 17th and have lost 37 lbs. I figure that is pretty good. Better than staying the same weight. I still have about 71 lbs to loose but the scales are going down.

Hey Reb, Star, Hatchick, 2frust, Kathy, Holly, Eddie! Hey Hat chick are you hiding out doing ginger bread houses by any chance? Haven't heard from you in a couple of days. Hope all is well and Sure missing Star!

Did any of you see Oprah yesterday? Kristi Alley was on she has lost 55lbs on JC so I recorded it on DVR and watched last night. She cracks me up! It is cute how everyone in her circle has also lost weight. Her sister has lost 75lbs! Best friend 60lbs. And I guess 10 folks close to her all went on JC. What a commercial for JC. Anyhow just wondering if any of you watched it.

Keep the wind in your face and stay upright!

Good Morning!
Wow, am I sore! I went to the gym last weekend and my arms and legs are in pain! I trained like I used to instead of starting out slow and working my way up. Oh well, I imagine by Saturday I'll be able to move pain-free again.

Hey eddie, have you though about getting a smaller bike to use for a season to build your confidence up? I started too big too and ended up selling my first bike after a season and getting a little Ninja 250 in March of 2003, I rode it until July and traded up to an SV650. Just ride safe no matter what bike you ride.

2frustrated - I'm in the market for a new helmet next year, and I'm going to get something with a lot more "fun" factor than my current plain white one. I looked up Ogri and saw a helmet with the cartoons and wings, is that like yours? Very funny if it is!

Rebel - since you brought it up, lets all tell about our tattoos, if we have them. I have a small daisy on my lower back with my husbands name under it. I won't be getting another.... way too painful!

ok, off to work for me! Everyone have a great day!

Kathy, yeah that's the helmet! You know you can get ears on suckers, well I'm thinking of buying some and converting them to wings, so I really have a pair of wings on my helmet!

I don't have any tatoos, but I was thinking of a temporary one once, but then I wimped out! I'd rather be at goal before I do anything else drastic to my body! But by then, hopefully my transformation will have been drastic enough!

Hello chicks!!! It's the Missing in Action Holly

I skimmed through posts...welcome Kathy!! ooo, a Deuce, you lucky chick!! take it slow and easy. I too was so intimidated by my huge machine but even when I was crying with frustration and fear, I knew I wanted to more than I was afraid, and kept on. And now you can't separate us

Gina - "caucasian mutt" - OMG!!! too funny!!!

I maybe skimmed too briefly, 'cause I can't remember much of else...gingerbread houses - fun! I've done big ones, have also done the little graham cracker ones which are also fun...after Christmas, if I haven't given them all away, I let the boys have 'em, and they take 'em outside, set them in the snow with firecrackers inside, and blow 'em up. Really! I have pictures to prove it HarleyMOm - royal icing all over your house until Feb., LOL!!!!

I'm starting week three of the Lexapro (antidepressant) and you know, even from the first day, I started feeling better...because I was taking steps to try to feel better. HOWEVER, I just picked up a month's prescription - and it was $68.50. Is that reasonable? Having never had to buy any prescription other than antibiotics, that seems alot!!! but if it costs me a little over $2 a day to feel better, it is worth it.

I wish I could have wished Star goodluck and bye-for-now!!! we will miss her! and wishing her easy time in hospital and quick recovery.

OH - get this...keep in mind I am almost 45 (next month) well, I missed a period...and have since had THREE pregnancy tests, all "negative". I am feeling way too young to start menopause!!! The tests - a take-home one that has two tests in it, plus I did a walk-in at Planned Parenthood. When I saw my regular doctor yesterday (follow-up appointment regarding the Lexapro) he said that it could be caused by stress, and certainly I am entering the age of starting to get missed periods and such. I am going to wait one more week, then if I still don't have my period by then, I AM going back to the doctors for a blood serum pregnancy test. JUST to be sure.

We rode last Saturday, and if it was the last ride of the season, it was great!!! low 60's and sunshines, though it dipped down to 42 when we got back home. Having a pair of thermal underwear on, then jeans, then chaps really helps. There was also 2 mornings when I rode to work, it was 42 and dark at 5:30 a.m.!!! I had tons of layers on, plus those chemical heat packets in my gloves to help.

again, I'll try to get on more!!! as I read the posts from you chicks, I realize I am missing out on a bunch of fun here

OMG....I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday! What a slacker....
Holly good to see you back and feeling better....good luck with the preg test. I'm scared of that...I wouldn't be ready for it either. Firecrackers in the gingerbread houses - too funny!

2Fru Ogri is hilarious - I was looking at some of the t shirts. I checked out some of your blog, too. Quite entertaining! I wanna be more like you when I grow up! (even tho you are prolly younger than me)

Kathy - welcome back! I should speak for myself and say I'm not sure my head is on straight...hopefully that's not a criteria for this forum. Take it easy on the bike - drive some nice empty parking lots until you are more comfy. You can do it!

Eddie - welcome to you, too. That shake stuff doesn't get old fast? I couldn't do it...or at least not for long..I'll shut up now.

Harley mom - sounds like a neat idea - no clean up...and fairly easy to keep everyone happy with different kinds of food!

Andrea - Xmas lights! It seems so early but Thanksgiving is coming quick!
No tats for me yet - I've contemplated it - but I'm a wuss...

Hey there ladies!

Holly- So glad to see you! I am really glad that the Lexapro is working for you. Until Dh's heart attack I had never spent much $ on prescriptions, but ow I realize how pricey it is. So, no $68 is not too bad. Dh has 2 medications that are about $160 each a month plus 3 other meds that equal over $100 a month. His meds are over $400 a month. Thank God that he is back at work and has a great prescription plan...so now everything is about $100 total!!! Yeah! Hmm...would you be happy if you were pregnant? You could buy a little sidecar for baby! How cute!!! My mom is 52 and I think that her periods ended awhile before she really started menopause. I do think stress or a change in habits makes periods wacky too. I am late very often and then I think that I'm pregnant, but never am. I do have a lot of stress, though. Either way...keep us posted. I think that we need a little biker chick's baby on this thread!

Kathy- If I ever lose enough weight I really want a tatoo on my lower back, but then I've heard that if you ever have a baby they can't give you an epidural where the tattoo is. I'm afraid that I would need to be heavily drugged or beaten in the head until unconscious if I was in child birth. Your tat sounds really cute! Good for you for going to the gym, you are doing great!!!

Eddie- I thought of doing Medifast before, but wasnt sure that I could afford it. A trainer at the gym I used to go to was doing Medifast. How are you liking it?

2fru- Is this a kickboxing night?

HarleyMom- I missed Oprah yesterday. I think that Kirsti Alley seems like a really funny person. That episode must have really super motivated you!!

Have a great evening everyone.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. Hi Rebel! Yes, if you drop the bike during the test, it is automatic failure. I had to retest and passed the 2nd time around. As far as Medifast, yes, I am liking it so far. It's a bit restrictive though. HarleyMom!--Medifast is ambitious. I am on day 10 and so far, so good. Wish me luck cuz it is stringent! Hi Psycho! Thanks for the suggestion on the smaller bike. It's funny you mention that because hubby bought me a little dirt bike to use around the property for practice before my test. I still have it so maybe I'll drag it back out! Hi Chick--I'm sure the shake stuff will get old with time but I'm only on day 10 so it's still kinda new. Hmmmm. Wish me luck around day 30+ I hope I haven't forgotten anyone and if I have, I'M SORRY Oh, yea! I have two tattoos, one on my right leg-starts just below my knee and ends at the ankle-fairy on flowery vine, dragonfly and butterfly. It's a beauty. And a 2nd one on my lower back right above my but. It's the Harley badge/emblem colored in blue and pink and instead of saying Harley in the middle, it says "Eddie 3" for my son, Eddie the third. Well, bye for now!

Morning ladies!

HarleyMom- Whoo hooo!!!! Congratulations on the 3lbs!

Eddie-Your tats sound gorgeous! I really like the idea of the Harley emblem on your lower back.

Hi Gina, Holly, 2Fru and Kathy!!

I have a question for those of you that are losing consistently every week. Do you have cheat days. My weight has been crazy the past few weeks. Its up then down. Now I am about 247-250, so I need to change my signature. This week has been awful for me in terms of exercise. I havent done 1 day yet. Food has been ok, but I ate badly over the weekend. I guess that I really need to avoid that and maybe I will see some actual loss. Any suggestions?

Eddie - I didn't mean to sound pessimistic...I'm just not a big fan of diets that I wouldn't want to keep for the rest of my life. IMO...But if it's working for you - more power to ya!

Harleymom - WTG!!!! So happy for you. You have been losing quite consistently.

I'm working from home today - I don't know why that makes me feel like I need to get more done...maye to prove I'm not just sitting around in my jammies watching Judge Judy reruns?

Anyone watch Biggest Loser last night? I was sorry to see Shannon go - but there isn't anyone I don't like anymore...Shannon did look amazing in her current state!
Matt's hair looks great...he still has that psycho look in his eye...but 12 pounds gained? Ouch.

Reb I can say for me it has just been sticking with not eating junk and staying on track with my JC food. I do eat out usually once a week and try to pick foods that are low fat and more vege's than strach or protien. When they bring the food out I decide to eat about half or less of it usually because they bring out hungry man size of foods when your dining out. It is crazy. I am not much of an exercise person but try to get moving 3 times weekly. I think if I would increase my activity I would loose more weight every week. That is what I need to work on. I can only tell you it is such a mind thing. You don't have to deprive yourself of snacks and such. I have cake, cookies, lowfat chips and all kinds of other stuff once daily. I think it helps to keep me on track becasue I am not having cravings for carbs.

Any one see the biggest Looser last night? OK I see you did Hat Chick! I totally agree with you. I like all of them that are left. My GF told me she thinks Matt has demons but she likes him, I just chuckled. I love his hair cut. He looks so much better. I think Doc is my fav now.

Thanks for the advice, Harley! That really does help me to put things into perspective.

Oh, yeah...Biggest Loser was really great last night! I felt bad that Shannon had to go, too, but she looks terrific now. I pretty much like everyone left, too. Not sure who I'm cheering for now! Maybe Doc or Suzy. Matt looks really nice with his haircut, a huge difference. Hehe...Harley about the demons. Thats too funny. I'm going to be so sad to see it end...

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days! Yes I did have a kickboxing night on Tues, and again tonight!

The Christmas lights on Regent Street were switched on on 5th November - Guy Fawkes's night! That's just bloomin crazy if you ask me!

Was out on a road trip yesterday - in the car. It's mad how travelling all day really tires you out! I just went home and was asleep by 9.30!!

Well Done Harleymom on the loss! Quite an acheivement! My weigh-in day is looming I'm hoping to be at an all time low, then I have to go to Japan and I'm worried about it going all to pot!

Keep on trucking laydees
