Good evening ladies!
It's Friday!!!    Lisa- Happy Birthday!!! :hat: Ann- I am right there with you on the haircut. I hope it turns out well. I am also getting my hair done tomorrow. I always say I'm going to do something different and then when I get home my husband says "I thought you were getting your hair cut today" so much for doing something different! Tess- It sounds like you are off to a great start. Keep it up! Jamie- Isn't it funny what our little ones will say. Jeanessa- Curves is a great and fast workout. You need to make sure that the hours they are open work for you. I joined a year ago and my membership will be up at the end of March. I won't be rejoining because the hours of operation are so limited where I live. Selena- Have a great time at your friends house and of course you CAN!! We know you CAN! Be strong and have a safe trip. Joana-Sounds like you are doing a great job keeping up with your exercise!! Keep it up. Michelle- Thanks for the list. Where do you find the time to keep up with all of us. Today was a pretty good day. I stayed within my points but I still have a little more water that I need to drink tonight. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I always have more trouble using my points on the weekend. I get so busy running around doing all my errands that I end up with a hugh amount of points at the end the day left. My goal for staying off the scale was shot by 5:30 this morning. I swear it is such a habit I don't even know what I am doing. I roll out of bed and walk to the scale still half asleep. Oh well.....I hope eveyone has had a good day. Paige :balloons: |
Yeah, even the McD's didn't stop the loss, I guess its not about quality but quantity when you come right down to it...calories in/calories out and the quality of what you eat depends on you and your health concerns...I want to be healthy AND thin so I'll have to work on it!
Is there a prescribed workout at Curves or do you just go in and do your own thing? I never thought I would say this, but I am having a tough time getting all my points in. A lifer told me to make sure to eat all my points and my flex points on the WW plan, and I agreed with her logic. So far, its helping me to loose faster. Make good choices this weekend, guys! |
Good morning Girls...How is everyone this morning?? Just a quick note....I am heading out of town this morning...but wanted to say HI  before I go...
I hope everyone is STRONG this weekened...I am going to be sooo good...I have weigh in on Monday...and Im glad I do my weigh-ins on Monday...it helps keep me focused on the weekends....I cant' mess up on the weekends and expect a loss on monday morning....;) Jeanessa...Curves is a place for ladies only...Mine has 10 machines...and 10 mats.. In between the 10 machines are 10 cardio mats....You do 30 seconds on each machine...then 30 seconds on each mat...After you've been on each machine for 30 seconds....and each mat for 30 seconds...you've done a 30 minute work out...it goes sooo fast......you can do ANYTHING for 30 seconds...it doesn't seem at first like you're even getting a workout...but believe me..........I feel it the next morning...You go 3 times a week..and then work up from there if you want to...It is fun and the music keeps me jogging or dancing on the mat for my cardio........they tell you when your 30 seconds are up..and then you just move on to the next machine...I love it! Hope that helps........ Take care everyone...I will be back.......... |

good afternoon everyone. well i did the deed and now the scale is showing it. i am back up to 249 i have gained it back. but i am not going to cry myself a river i am simply going to get up brush myself off and start all over again. I thought i would write before i went for a nice long walk.I did enjoy my birthday though it was really nice.I am a little depressed over the gain though, most of all i just really feel yuck, i can tell that i ate the wrong stuff last night and this morning. My little girl brought home a birthday cake for me that she had made all herself and it was chocolate which is like my kryptonite.so of course as the story goes i made a complete pig of myself.but it's gone now i invited people over so that they could finish it without hurting my little girls feelings. Now i must drink my water and eat my fruit and after this episode i don't think i ever want to see another chocolate cake. Thanks for listening.i will post again soon. :?:

Happy Saturday Everyone
I have to work today. Normally I am off on the weekends. I am thinking it is good I am working because it keeps me away from the fridge!!!! I am on my lunch now and I am enjoying a WONDERFUL salad and bottle of water. I have only had 20oz today on the water. I have to step it up a bit if I am gonna reach the goal.
I hope you all are having a great weekend. I can not check in again til Monday morning when I return to work. I also Weigh-in on Monday morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed because I have not worked out past 2 days. Wish me luck........I have a feeling I am gonna need it. |
Happy Day 8 - Week 2!
Hey, guys, just checking in.
I can't believe that I am actually on Week 2! Cross your fingers or pray for me that I keep up the strength. Its kind of weird, I am so used to wanting to lose weight that the fact that I actually am losing weight is odd! I normally look at the days that are passing by and I feel like..."Oh, time is moving so fast, I've gotta get up off my keister and lose this weight...I'll start soon." And now I feel like I can't wait for next week to come because that means that I'm even further into my healthier lifestyle and that I have lost that much more weight! Does anybody else feel like this? LisaGirard - I'm sorry that you're in the slumps today and that your weight went back up. I know the feeling. Just chalk it up as experience so that you can warn others and so that you'll know what to do the next time. Look at it this way, you're not dying for chocolate cake anymore and you're right back on track, which is hard enough all by itself! jmepudge - I am crossing my fingers for your Monday weigh-in, I hope that you have inspiring news for us all! I'm off to enjoy my Saturday :dizzy: |
The Party!
Ugh.............I hate it when I hit the wrong button and lose a post and have to start over. :comp:
Anyway, I hope you are all having a great Saturday! :flow2: I had a big mile stone today. I had to take my daughter to a birthday party and they had lots of badddddddddddddddddd food for the grown ups and I resisted all of it. Yes, even the chocolate covered strawberries!!! Instead of coming home ridden with quilt over what I ate I came home very proud of myself for passing my first big test since I started WW. :dancer: :dancer: I even caught myself judging what other people where eating (you know the people that should be sitting beside me at WW). I thought god is that what I look like when I have my plate full of junk!!! It made me all the more motivated to get this weight off!!!!!!! I also got my hair cut and colored today. I actually came home with a much shorter and sassier new style. My hubby even liked it. Usually he can't even tell I got it cut. I need to find some more recipes tonight so that I can cook the meals for the week tomorrow. :chef: I still need to go to the grocery store but I will probably wait until in the morning to go. It is cold and rainy out tonight. :rain: Hard to believe it was almost 80 degrees on Monday and Tuesday. Stay motivated ladies. Paige :balloons: |
well...... Another day is done almost. And i am proud of myself, i threw out the rest of my birthday cake and ate a weight watchers frozen meal for dinner with an apple. I am currently trying to get the water down(that's not very easy). I feel much better about the weight loss, i got it off once before and i can do it again. I have decided that i will eat cereal for breakfest something like special k and for lunch and dinner i will have weight watchers meals and some fruit or veggies, and if i exercise everynight i should get it off again.I am really psyched.Maybe if i quite eating the stuff i make for my family i will be okay.Anywho thanks for listening i will type again in the morning.tootles.

New here...just wanted to say hi to everyone...
Love, Deanne |
Happy Saturday everyone!
Buzy day shopping with the family, we ate out but I chose a healthy stirfry and share it with my kids as oppose to getting them their own meals so it worked out good I think. Stayed within my points again (with a few flex). The ww routine is really sinking in and i'm getting satisfied with portions and healthier choices. This is much faster than the other times I tried ww so I think I was really ready this time and it is for good!! Dh is also slowly jumping on the band wagon, though he is not counting portions or anything but I see he is making an effort to eat better. I'm happy since apart from the fact that he needs to lose some weight too, it shall make it easier for me. Tess! I just wish I had nice curly hair like that! Deanne: Welcome to this group! Looking forward to getting to know you!j Lisa: Don't worry you will get it off again! We're in this for that long run! Paige: Way to go on sticking to your eating plan! :cp: Glad you like your new hair cut (and your dh too)! I really love mine, I already feel better about myself! Next I'm getting my nails done : ) Now I never do things like that but I think it's time I start taking better care of me all around. Jeanessa: I so feel something similar... We are going to keep on losing until we meet our goal let's just hang in there for whatever amoung of weeks we need!! Jme & Selena: Good luck on monday for the big WI! Sending you good vibes! :goodvibes Ann |
welcome deanne!!!!!!! this is a great place to find support and compfort. Thanks for the pep talk.
Paige: I'm getting my hair cut tommorrow. glad you like yours. Jeanessa: I am glad WW is working for you. Stick to it you can do it girl!!!!! I am proud of you. Night ladies enjoy what's left of saturday. |
Hello I am Colleen, 22 and live in London. From central pennsylvania although moved here about five years ago. Thats when my weight ballooned. I was about 215 back then and some how I ended up 280lbs. I was dating the take out and cheesecake king, we sort of both ate ourselves unhappy and grew bigger and bigger. Last July I decided to diet. I put myself on a steamed veggie and fruit diet that lasted about three weeks, lost loads in that time but at the end of the day I was starving myself. I decided that I was going to try weight watchers. Not only the program but get my shy bottom down to the closest meeting and sign up. I did and the pounds melted off. I hit 200 in October and was so excited. I moved to Sweden for a small work project and started to eat again, everything in site. Christmass turned into a month of stuffing my face. Back in London I crawled back to my meetings and found out that I gained 9lbs. Was a bit upset but pushed myself and on Valentines I lost the gain. Now I am 196.5lbs and looking to get under 190 soon. Monday I start the ww british No Count system, I am off to spend the weekend with my new guy and hopefully the flexablity of not counting points will get me through these little getaways.
Nice to meet everyone! |
Hi!
Is there room for one more here??!! I´m Verity, 26, and live in Spain. I lost some weight last year but have been going up and down ever since (typical yo-yo dieter I´m afraid!) but I´m back on the bandwagon now and feeling really motivated. I´m not doing any specific diet but I´m just trying to be sensible with what I eat, and how much. I really want to loose this weight slowly and surely. In the past, I´ve managed to shift weight quickly but it always returns, with interest. This time I´m interested in making lifelong changes. I´m not going to be anally retentive about things this time...if I want a bit of cake or chocolate, I´m going to have it...as I want to look at this weight loss in the long term, not just from week to week weigh-ins. I´m hoping that this tactic might work lol!! Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all better! |
Welcome Verity and Colleen. You have come to the right place!!!! I have found alot of support here.
Guess what guys, i am back to the 246.5. Apparently whatever i did last night WORKED!!!! I found out through my journal that i probably needed to add some protein to the breakfest, so i added a couple of boiled eggs. So needless to say my day has started out wonderfully |
