FRIDAY: today is Fabulous Lbs Down Friday. Let's see some losses this week, ladies!
I will check in a bit later Faye :) |
Hi ladies,
Quick check in.....damn the holidays are messing with me this year! I just keep eating, all the time. Not hungry, just eating. Lots. GRRRRRRRRRRRR...........lunch time is the worst, cuz I make all these really yummy and healthy concoctions and then end up eating enough for 3 people! At dinner, there are other distractions and other people eating, not just me. Oh well, hope everyone is doing well. It sure is kinda lonely in here, though. I guess everyone's busy. THanks Faye for the little peptalk back on #90. THings will pick up again, I'm sure. TTFN, Julie |
SATURDAY: Today is Sunny Thoughts Saturday. What do you have to share with us?
POINTS FOR THUR AND FRIDAY: Faye :dancer: :flow2: My sunny thought: This old lady got hit on (not hit physically, like flirt kind of thing) the other day. I stopped at a convenience store after having gone to our bank across town and went in to get a couple Powerball tickets. There was a guy about 33 not much older than that, who had a middle eastern accent (more Arabic less Indian like), shaved head, big muscles etc. Kind of looked like a bouncer actually, Anyway. he wasn't bad looking but not someone if I was young and single I would think about hooking up with. Anyway, told him I wanted 5 tickets and he told me to go to the other window, which I did. I stood and stood while he waited on other customers when they were all gone he came to the window with this big smile and ask if I wanted powerplay. Had no clue so he told me if I did it would be $10 and I smiled and said, no that the regular would be ok. He chuckled and I SAID, I thought quite clearly, I didn't know what I was doing that my husband usually bought them. He gave them to me, took my money then strangely asked if I lived in Memphis. I said yes, that I lived in Fox Meadows and he wrinkled his brow and I said Hickory Hill area and he smiled and said, oh yes, then kind of leered a little and asked if I was married. Well, I kind of was shocked at that as I have a big ole wedding ring on, but smiled and said, yes, that I have been married 32 years. He reeled like I had hit him and said, oh, that's a big... I kind of cut off the rest of whatever he was going to say, said yes, thanks and walked out. I wish you could have seen his face when he realized I was an old coot who had been married a longgggggg time! It was priceless, but still ended my day nicely! Sorry was not here yesterday. Got invited to go shopping with dd and dgs and never turn down a chance to be with the little one. As usual, the two ornery folks had a rip roaring good time and got in trouble a little for it! (I taught T what an echo was so he kept saying, "echo, echo echo echo" in the car over and over again driving him mom nuts! Have a wonderful weekend and Carri, I am HERE FOR YOU!!!!! Faye ;) |
no silly poll this week!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I will check in later to see if anyone has posted. If not, see you tomorrow Faye :) |
Really short.
Faye, I enjoyed your suuny thought. I wish that I had one to share but all I have to share is this sickness. One of these days I am going to be better. Just wanted to check in and say hi......gotta go and wrap a gift or two for our store party tonight. Have to wrap a lump of coal! LOL! |
Hi Ladies,
I know it's Sunday, but I gotta major sunny thought.... Well, really it's more of a proud mom moment. We just got back from our local football league's award banquet (which is a fancy name for pizza and trophies). You remember back in the fall when I had to cart both girls around for two sets of practices and two games every Sunday..... WELL, BOTH girls walked away with their teams sportsmanship award!!! It's a huge muckin' trophy given for being courteous and doing what they're told and helping others and showing up for practice....you know, for basically being decent human beings. Well, they haven't cheered before, so they had no idea this award was even given out. And you should have seen their little faces beaming with pride when the coaches said such nice things about "this girl" and then their names were called! It was awesome..... And the coaches made me feel good by drawing attention to the fact that both winners came from the same family! COOL! Hope this doesn't sound like gloating, but it sure makes all the hard work of parenting worth while when something like this happens. I'm just so proud I could bust! Okay, so I also had 2 slices of pizza in celebration....oh well. See you all in the morning. Gonna go get our tree trimmed. TTFN, Julie |
MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and let's make our mission this week, exercise. Let's try and get in 4-5 days this week of some type of exercise, girls!
Julie: Give the girls big hugs from all of us for their accomplishments. That is so cool, but mom gets to dust the trophies, ugh! SandyG: Sorry you haven't been able to kick whatever it is you have. Hope you get to feeling better real soon. I woke up last night sick and don't feel that great this morning, but hopefully it will go away as the morning wears on. I have lots to do this week and cannot get sick. Everyone have a great week this week Faye :) |
GADS! Will I be glad when this whole eating season is over!!!!
I seem to have lost all semblance of control and just keep eating. I'm doing my best to get in some exercise everyday. I did yoga over the weekend and felt much better about things in general. I'm trying to get in my water, but that seems to be an every other day thing. And I'm forcing myself to eat more veggies than anything else on my plate. But the SUGAR! Omygawd...........it's in my face, everywhere I turn. And I have to bake cookies this week! :dizzy: I hope we get back to being a big active group after the new year's fitness/diet thing kicks in. I miss everybody. Hi Faye! Hi Sandy, Sandy, Carrie and Cat..... Gotta go get ready for dance class. TTFN, Julie |
I think once January gets here, everyone will be faced with the new year's resolution to get back on track and we all will. The problem is not letting us fall too far behind.
I got 2 pts for food today. Didn't feel like eating much as I have had an icky tummy all day and a headache. Still feel not so great, but I am not complaining because there are sure a lot of people worse off than my upset tummy and headache. Gonna watch Las Vegas and then go to bed and get up in the morning and trying and kick butt and clean house. I have to get it and the patio done by Thur morning as I have a lot to do. One nice thing, I have lost probably 5-6 lbs in the last week or so and hope I can keep it up as best as I can. I told you I was probably near 340 or over and I am at 328 so I am glad it is coming back down again. Everyone have a wonderful evening. Sandy, hope you are feeling some better, Carri, I am thinking about you and dh and missing your doggy, Julie, hang in there with the sugar, Amanda, miss you sweety and hope you are at least peeking in from time to time and the rest of you, hope you are having a nice holiday season!!!!! Love to you all Faye :) |
still sick I want Santa to make it all better.....darn it
|
TUESDAY: Today is target Tuesday and we are going to target this week, our health. We need to examine our health and see where we are failing to take care of ourselves, regular paps and mamograms?, overeating, eating the wrong stuff, eye and dental, everything. Let's commit that next year will be our healthiest year ever!
I will be back in later ladies. Want to get my house cleaned this morning Faye :) |
Just popping in to say.....
I"M GOING SKIING>>>>>>>>>>right now. BBL, Julie |
Hello all, I too know about eating getting out of control, wether it is right or wrong I am not going to worry too much until January...things just keep coming up with all of the Christmas parties and such...like Faye said, the thing is too not just get crazy out of control...so dont worry about it Julie, I am in your same boat.... :)
Faye - Dh and I could not stand it, we were too sad and lonely without our doggie, we ended up going back and getting him yesterday, we will just have to make some changes, we may doggie gate him in one of our spare bedrooms, he seemed happy to be home and I know we were!!! Now we can be happy again, ha ha Talk to you all later, have a great day!!! |
Hey everyone. Right now I can breath and the sinus pain is gone for now. I just hope that this will keep up. I agree I think that right now the improtant thing is not to go overboard with the eating. Going to go and put up cloths. Later everyone'
|
:dancer: for me yesterday.
Carri: I am so glad your doggy is back home with you! I really think you should invest in puppy pads for him though. He will take right to them and keep you from cleaning up accidents in the bedroom if he can't hold it until you get back home in the evenings. Just make sure he has lots of toys and things to chew on and sound of some kind to entertain him. SandyG: I saw on tv that Breathrite now has menthol strips for you nose and has little portable "vaporizers" where you put a tablet into their cup with water and it comes out vapor like vicks. That may be a help to you especially at work if you have stuffiness. I am done with my housework and my laundry so am going to go down and watch a movie and check the mail. Probably junk and bills. I never get anything fun like MONEY! I can't wait for next week. Jack and I are checking into a casino hotel on Thur and Friday (I have 2 free nights to use) and then we have Christmas with dd etc on Friday afternoon and evening. We will go back to the hotel after we leave dd's house (it is only about 30-40 miles down there) and then spend part of Christmas day there as we are always alone on Christmas day. We are looking forward to time ALONE without the animals in bed with us. Julie, we plan on lots of "elevator riding" (in deference to being in a hotel  ) while we are down there! It is extremely hard to be romantic with a cat and dog walking on you trying to get between you and our bedroom door doesn't latch tight and they have figured out how to get in when we kick them out! Have a wonderful day everyone! Faye :) |
WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's Woes. We are here to listen!
Be back later girls! Faye :) |
Good Morning Everyone!
It's a gorgeous sunny day....with a balmy temperature of 2. Bit too cold to ski today, but I had a blast going out yesterday. I'm proud to say that I didn't overdo it...once my butt started burning, I turned around and went back. All in all about 30 minutes. There's a reason Nordictrak was so popular back in the 80s. Cross country skiing is awesome exercise. I believe that's why all Norwegians and Swedes have such amazing backsides.....their butts are genetically altered from all that having to ski for transportation 10 months out of the year! Anyway...no complaints here. Warm cinnamon oatmeal and gingerbread coffee...mmmmmmm. Of course, they don't make the holiday flavored coffee in decaf, so I've had waaayyy more than my usual caffeine and I'm bouncing around like a kangaroo. Maybe it will burn off some more calories. Carrie, glad you and dh decided to go back and pick up the pup. Sometimes it's better to just give in to sentiment than to regret a decision for years. Just be patient, and you'll work out the potty problems. Sandy, glad you're feeling better. I meant to tell you before, but hot chinese mustard or some really spicy thai food does wonders for sinus pain and stuffiness. It's torture for about ten seconds, and then it's like the symptoms are completely gone! You gotta use the good stuff, though...the stuff that's so hot you think your head is gonna explode. Faye, your holiday plans sound like tons of fun. Well, gotta go hop in the shower and then get to the bank. Everybody have a super day! Julie |
HI, all ... it is so cold here today, so cold...almost burns the skin for the wind to hit it ...
I think I got everyone misunderstanding about the doggie  he is perfectly house trained and will not go in the house...he holds it for 10-12 hours at a time if he has too...so that was never a problem...it was him being locked up in the small cage we have...but since we have decided to put a gate up in one of the bedrooms we will be fine...I do appreciate all of your suggestions though as this has been a hard time, but he is home now and all is well...ha ha :) Julie - yes I used to love the Nordic track...it really worked you out...great job on getting exercise !! Faye - You and dh have fun with the "stair climbing" next week...  Sandy - Hope you get to feeling better :( Hope you all have a good evening and talk to you later |
Hope everyone is having a good afternoon. It is cold here today also and I have kept my big behind indoors. Unlike Julie, I hate going out when it is cold and though it was in the 30's today I was cold all day. It doesn't take long to get used to southern weather I guess, though I have never really liked the cold stuff except when I was young and it snowed up north.
Carri: Glad you family member is all settled in the new house and things are back to normal for you. I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was today. I had a 3 pt for yesterday and seem to be creeping back down in my weight, which is fine with me. Talk to you all tomorrow Faye :) |
THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday so be sure and take some time just for you today.
Check back in later ladies Faye :) |
Hi Ladies,
Not much going on here. Just thought I'd stop in and say hi...so, HI. Still eating too much. Dance class is done until January....and I'm hostessing a big party here on Sat. On the bright side......I'm very close to finishing my book! TTFN, Julie |
FRIDAY: Today is Fabulous Lbs Down Friday. Do we have any losers this week?
I will probably be out all day today again as I have T's Christmas program, finishing up gift shopping, haircut and then going to take T and dd to see Lemony Snicket movie this evening. Hope everyone has a perfect day. Faye :goodscale :goodscale :goodscale Have a great weekend everybody! Faye ;) |
Hi all, just checking in,,, I too ( like Julie ) am still eating too much and trying to finish up my Christmas shopping. I know that once all this Christmas happiness/crap  is over that we will all get back into the swing of things and lose alot of weight !!!!
Julie - Good to hear you are almost done with the book, congrats!!! Faye - Have fun with T and dd, I want to see that movie too, let me know how it turns out ... Sandy - Hi !! Amanda - Hope you are doing well !!! Have a good day everyone!!! |
Morning ladies!
Faye, let me know how the movie is as well. Corey is iffy on wanting to see it and I guess that a review might decide things. I do know that Fat Albert is on the to see list and Are We There Yet as well. Juile, congrats on the book being almost there. It must feel so good to get this accomplished. Carri, good to know that your dog is back with you. I am sure that things have already gotten back to normal. Sorry that I have missed lots this week but have been busy with work and trying to run my Mother here and there. I am right with each and everyone of you with the eating right now. Try as hard as I may this holiday food just keeps on comming. Just can't wait for this all to be over. Checking in real quick time to get out and stock my stores this morning before they get full of shoppers. Later everyone sandy |
SATURDAY: Today is sunny Thoughs Saturday. Do you have anything to share?
Sorry I didn't get in here yesterday girls, busy all day. I know that like everyone else food and stress and everything that goes with the holidays is upon us all so do apolgize if you can't make it in here. Believe me, I understand. We ended up not going yesterday and don't know now if I am going to have time to go. I didn't feel well enough to go anyway. I am having some allergy issues and boy am I miserable. I have problems with the heat in the house (probably dust mites etc) and I have had a headache, runny nose, sneezing for a couple days now. No fever or congestion so I know it isn't a cold but I have cookies and fudge to make this weekend and don't have time to get sick that is for sure. **Have any of you or your kids READ the Lemony Snicket books? I think they are weird personally! I have read all of them so far, but that is because dd got me started on them and so I have been reading them. Unusual to say the least. Everyone have a great weekend Faye :) |
Just wanted to pop back in but I see no one has been here today. I am totally pooped. I made 8 lbs of milk chocolate fudge and 8 dozen big chocolate chip cookies and the dough balls for kieflies then will roll them and fill them tomorrow. Did 4 loads of laundry and put it away so I am pretty much all in. I will check with you tomorrow. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
Faye :o |
SUNDAY: Today is Silly Poll Sunday and our Silly Poll this week is, What is your favorite type of Christmas cookie or candy?
Morning girls! Not much time this AM as I have to get started on those other cookies as they take most of the day but wanted to get in here and give everyone a GOOD MORNING! As for the poll, I can't say just one except there is only one I DON'T like and that are those awful cut out cookies. I know they are pretty much a staple of everyone's Christmas but I hate the things! I like fudge, toffee, peanut brittle for candy then kieflies, spritz cookies and a couple cookies my grandma used to make. One was a raisin filled cookie (it was a filling of raisins not just raisins in the cookie) and coffee hermits. They are the only thing I have ever liked that had coffee in them. They are a type of spice cookie that I haven't had in years but they are yummy! Hope all your shopping and baking is done. I have all the shopping and wrapping done, thank goodness and will finish up the cookies today. For Christmas Eve (our Christmas with the kids) I am making cornbread dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes and yeast rolls along with taking the cookies. I will get the prep done for those on Wed before I go to the hotel. We are having an evening dinner and having lamb so I hope my dd can fix it so it tastes ok. I am not a lamb lover but have had it once when it tasted pretty good and once when it was nasty. Well, I need to go. Talk to you tomorrow if I can't get in here Faye :D |
NO TOPICS FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, BUT WILL RETURN JANUARY 3.
Morning girls. Hope you are up and at em this morning. I have all my baking done now including those cookies from yesterday and even the Christmas food gifts done. Got a call from dd askiing if I had bought the stuff for dinner on Friday. I told her yes and why and she said did you spend a lot of money on it. Well, I hadn't and told her so and and she suggested we just have dinner down at the hotel and open gifts there since we were going to be there on Friday. That is nice because no one has to cook or clean up so that is what we are going to do. All I need to do until Thur is get my house cleaned and then I am home free so to speak. SandyG: Hope you are feeling better and have more overall strength etc back. I know I am having a horrific time with allergies and they make me miserable. I will check in later girls when everyone is up and going. Faye :) |
Morning everybody!
Faye, thanks for keeping this all going even though our posts are few and far between! I know it must be frustrating.....and CONGRATS WOOOHOOOO and WTG on your 3 pounds :cp: :dancer: Honestly, you are fighting the good fight at the worst time of the year. And doing it better than I am, that's for sure. My clothes are all getting very tight, and I already got rid of the bigger sizes....I weighed myself and have officially gained 10 pounds   HOLY CRAP!!! So, I really can't just wait around until Christmas is over...I have to start reigning in NOW. I'm not going to do a "treats purge" until after Christmas, but I am trying really hard to just ignore them. Not always succeeding...but trying. I know I'm not here as often as I used to be, but once the holiday fuss is over I'll be back with a vengence! I'm so ready to get back to normal. Hope everyone is enjoying themselves! TTFN, Julie |
Sorry I didn't get back in here earlier, but dd called and wanted me to go out shopping etc with her and we were involved in a car accident. Some noodleheaded lady pulled out of a side street in busy traffic and broadsided us and then pushed us across traffic and rearended us and pushed us up into someone's yard. I am pretty sore from being jostled and dd bruised her leg and strained her back. I told her if she is worse tomorrow to go to the dr so the nut cases insurance has to pay. The woman was really nasty and wouldn't let dd see her insurance info and when the police got there, they made her give it to my dd. On top of that, she called her mil to come and get it and they lived across town and we ended up with everything from my dd's car and my poor grandson sitting on the grass while they took her car to the wrecker lot. It is freezing today and my dgs gets pneumonia every year so I took my coat off and bundled him up in it and told him to keep warm. Anyway, he is fine and the two of us are sore but ok. The car is a mess and may be totaled because it looks like the frame may have gotten bent. On top of all this, the woman had an 18 month old in a newborn infant car carrrier and not a carseat and dd told the police and get this, he said, "I hate the carseat laws here." He refused to ticket her for it and dd raised the roof and told him off saying, he had no right to make judgements of his own, we had carseat laws and they are supposed to be inforced! The lady's insurance agent warned dd not to tell anyone else that the baby was in the wrong car seat, can you believe it? I told her, to blab it to everyone including her insurance company as the woman needs to get that little one in a carseat and be protected.
As for the food issues, I think we need to realize we are going to have a tough two weeks, but to try to at least stay fairly level and do what we can not to gain a bunch of weight. Everyone have a wonderful evening and stay warm! Faye :D |
Faye, go get em on the insurance thing. Will be in and out briefly seeing how work is awful right now. Time for bed have to get up in the morning early so everyone take care.
|
Good morning girls. I kind of feel like I was hit by a bus, but the aches and pains will go away in a couple days I am sure. I plan on talking to dd this morning in a little while to see that she and my grandson are doing ok and find out if they got her a rental car yet.
Our Christmas eve plans are all up in the air with the accident because of their car problems. Her husband has a 2 seater sports car so they need something to drive around in. Her mil will lend her their car but they need it too so that is not a solution and we only have the one car so all we can do is help her run errands and what not. It will all work out though. Hope everyone is done shopping. It is nuts here. You can sit at a stop light to get into the mall even during the day for 15 to 20 minutes. I am not one of those people that gets a thrill out of bustling shopping and I sure can't wait until the last minute, my ocd won't let me! There is no way I would go anywhere out there by that mall until at least a week after Christmas. Any of you last minute shoppers? I enjoy the holidays, but will be glad when it is all said and done and I can go back to my routine. I feel so disjointed sort of with no purpose, you know? Well, everyone have a good day! Faye :o |
Faye, so sorry to hear that you are still hurting. How are your dd and gs doing? I hate to shop at the last min but every year I wait til then to get my stocking stuffers for Corey. On a much better note got in a workout 2 days in a row..shocking aint it? Gotta run time to get ready for work.
sandy |
Good morning girls! Woke up to hard rain and having to go to the bathroom so I decided I would go ahead and start the post this morning.
I am doing fine, still a little sore but it gets better day to day. DD and DGS are going fine as well and they got her a rental so all is ok with everything now. There is nothing exciting going on around here. As usual, this town is full of rapes, robbery and murder with an occasional bad cop thing going on, but I have learned to live with that! As for us here at home, we are a snooze a minute! I don't know if any of you have watched that reality weight loss show on NBC but I have watched it every week and it inspires me to see where the folks that got booted off, most of them anyway kept up the weight loss. I am really looking forward to getting myself in shape for the new year. Everyone have a great day Faye :) |
Morning Everyone!
Good grief Faye, you were up and writing the same time I was! The closer I get to finishing this book, the more stuck I get on the ending. I keep thinking of things that are left hanging and I feel like I have to tie everything up in a nice neat package. Oh well, I'll figure it out. I'm going shopping tonight with dh...we're basically done, but wanted some time alone together and still need a few little things. We DO NOT go to the mall, though. Our mall, such as it is, is over an hour away and it's crazy. We prefer to go to the little seaside towns and shop in the pretty little gift shops and book shops and toy shops. They are quiet and everyone is nice and in a good mood. Plus, I don't feel like I'm throwing money away....I know it's helping support small businesses. Faye, so sorry to hear about the accident. That really stinks. I'm glad everyone is ok though. I'm with you about getting back to normal. I feel like I've been holding my breath for a month. I've gained so much weight, I don't even feel like myself. DH has some massive SAD right now (seasonal affective disorder....basically lack of sunlight=depression) He gets it every year but denies it, of course. I'm thinking of getting him a sunlamp thingie, but they used to be prescription only items. Which is ridiculous! I'm wondering if that's changed by now. Well, gotta fly....last day of school for the kids. I can sleep late tomorrow! Woo hoooo..... TTFN, Julie :D |
Hold your loved ones tight, everybody!
One of our good friends is in the 133rd engineering battalion currently in Mosul. Two of their members from Maine were killed in the dining tent explosion yesterday. Thankfully, we just found out he's okay....but he was sitting only 30 or 40 feet from where the explosion went off! Please keep his wife and children in your prayers today. Thanks. Julie |
Julie: Please provide your friends names or pm them to me. I will definitely put them in my prayer time. I know how hard it is to have a loved one away for the holidays, been there done that, and being in a fighting situation to boot where you never know if the doorbell is going to ring and a chaplain be standing there with regrets for you. Please extend best wishes to your friends from our house!
Man, I am so mad at Barnes and Noble. I get these author notices, when favorite authors books are coming out so I can preorder them and got a Harry Potter one yesterday so ordered 2 books (one for us and one for dd's family) and several times on the notice AND during the ordering process, "Always remember, Barnes and Noble does not charge your credit card until the items are shipped." Guess what they did????? The durn book doesn't even come out until July! I e-mailed them but haven't heard back. That is why I always hate to preorder stuff. It is cold, windy and they are threatening snow here. Now I know for some of you, that is no big deal, but people go nuts here if they have flurries. They came out with a winter watch last night (predictions, less than an inch :?: ) and I bet the stores were mobbed with people cleaning out the shelves stocking up. It is comical, really. It really rained hard here this morning, but it has stopped and seems to be drying out with the wind so I hope that continues as it will keep from freezing on the road. That does make me nervous because no one can drive on it here. Well, need to go Have a great day Faye :D |
Hi All ( or Faye, Julie, and Sandy anyway, ha ha ) ... supposed to get a buttload of snow here today, put us on a "bread and milk alert", ha ha  You know how crazy people get when they hear snow is coming they go out and buy up all of the bread and milk, silly really...but anyway, so I am waiting for it, I had my dh bring me to work today since the worst of it will probably be at rush hour and I do not drive so well in it...
I have all my Christmas shopping done and now am just counting down the hours to giving and receiving ... I am with you guys on the food thing, I have felt like crap for 2 weeks, bloated, gassy, indegestion, and heartburn...plus do not feel bad Julie, I have put on like 7-9 pounds myself, I am too scared to weigh myself...I have already told myself that I am not going to wait until Jan 1st to get back started I am going to do it on Monday right after Christmas...I gotta get back to it now before I really, really slide backwards... I guess no one has really won the quarterly challenge huh??  Well I say we all start fresh for the new year quarter... Faye - So sorry to hear about your car accident but very glad that you guys are all alright, I know those kind of things can be very upsetting... Julie - Enjoy your sleeping in tomorrow, I still have one more day of work, only get off Christmas Eve and will be back on Monday, ughhhhh :( Sandy - Great job on your two workouts in a row, you put my Christmas binge eating to shame, ha ha :D If I do not check back in before CHristmas I hope you all have a great one and I know we can all get back on track after this food holiday is behind us, we are strong women, enjoy your holiday and then we WORK OUR BUTTS OFF for four pointers!!! Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) |
Evening everyone!
Julie, I will must defiently keep your friend and his family in my prayers. Must be nice to get to sleep in. Here, if there isn't school and Corey is home I am usually up by 7. I have got a child that doesn't like to sleep in. Carri, by no means have I but your Christmas binge to shame. I have had my share of binging. I have just decided to get started on working out. That way I will have myself already in a pattern when the first gets here. Faye, don't blame you for firing off at Barnes and Noble. I would have done the same thing. Ok have to chime in with the snow scare shopping. It goes farther than milk and bread. These ppl go and and buy lots of meats to fill their freezers, then there is milk, pop, and bread. What makes me so mad is that to begin with these ppl know that the roads do get taken care of. There are a few that do live on roads that do not get taken care of and then there are some that live on top of mountains. But come one there are ppl that act like they are not going to get getting out for over a month. Then these fools that have stocked up on meat end up loosing electricty for a few days and it has been offf for over a week during the winter. There are some that are truly with out and then there are some pple that have figured out that if u get food stamps here and the power goes out for an extented period of time you will get more stamps given to you. I am sorry but these ppl know that the power goes out and should have a enough sense to know better. It is all a scam to them. It is because of this that I hate to hear the "S" word in the forcaste. Sorry bout the soap box. Just wanted to check in this evening and see how everyone is doing. Time to get a move on and get some things done here at home....talk to everyone later. sandy |
