  • hey there Gals! Gotm y work out in this morning, with sydney is was a little stop and go, but I really tried and I know that even doing SOMETHING is the best!

    Spryng - well that is one marketing ploy that worked on me! LOL! YOU were right, it was just a pretty box that I saw at supertarget last night at 10pm and thought - OOHH! pop I can drink......well it worked, thanks for heads up though! LOL! I am kicking myself over that ! oh well....I have walked 1567 steps so far. other than my walk, I have been sitting and matching socks and folding laundry.....so not a great first day, but I will keep going! Also 32 oz. of water today so far! I had a smart ones ravioli for lunch..so that was good. NOt sure what dinner will be, I think maybe baked fries and herbed chicken fingers...How do you make/bake your french fries? I notice that you guys have them alot, is there a certain brand that you prefer or do you do them yourself? A;so - how do the WW frozen entrees fit into core...or do they? I am thinking about trying core, it seems a little more "me".....I am finding that I eat all my points and am still hundry at like 6pm, probably since i am getting so much water and exercising more...I have more energy! Thanks, sorry for the book! LOL!

    Mel - HI! I just got your IM, sorry I was outside for a while! Sydney is feeling better....but we are having a tough day..she WILL NOT listen to me on anything that I tell her today so my patience is being extrememly tested! LOL! glad she is napping...so all in all, that is a good sign that she is feeling better.....no coughing today either! You sound like you are feeling great, I am so proud of you!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP GIRL!!!!!

    Penny - I just got your little note, I love ya girl, that was so sweet!

    Melinda - Way to go, you sound like you are doing awesome! What is your regimen? did you find help in that one book that you were reading?

    Crystal - HOw is your day going? getting your cleaning done? BTW - we haven't heard much about your healthy eating and such! HOw are you doing in regards to making your pregnancy healthy? Was there anything specific that you wanted to do to stay healthy?

    Cindi - HOw are you feeling today? still a sore throat? Hope you are getting some good sleep during this down time!

    Deana - What are you up to today!?!? Sounds like you were super busy and got a lot accomplished yesterday, are you resting a little today!?!?! !I hope so, but way to go on getting all that done!!

    Chris - sorry about your daughter, I hear ya about always something...thats the way it is here too! I wish I had a sewing machine, I really love to sew but maybe some day! HOw neat that your sis is making the babies stuff, I would love to see the pics of that!!!

  • Hey girls sorry I haven't been here it was a busy day at school and I have my night class tonight too so I need to finish up my reading. As far as QOTD goes I was hoping I could change my day since Wednesdays are my busiest days as far as school goes. Let me know if that is ok.

    So I will say the QOTD and then I should probably get off here and maybe post late tonight and tomorrow morning. Anyway here goes:

    QOTD: If you had to work but could be anything you wanted what would you be and WHY?

    This is easy for me a TEACHER!! Because I love kids and knowledge is power, ya ya I know that was corny!

    Anyway I need to get off here and get some work done but I just wanted you all to know that I am doing pretty good today. No exercise except for the extreme hills and giant campus I had to walk all over today but I will go tomorrow and that will be day 3 so I am still in on the challenge. Almost got 30 oz of water down but I still have a 4 hour night class so I will have nothing better to do anyway than drink my water! Hope you gals have a great night!! TTYL

    P.S. Dinner is pork loin in the crockpot with BBQ sauce and then I am going to shred it up and put it on WW buns for pork sandwiches, was going to make potato salad too but I don't think I have time!
  • OK I'm back!! And I'm stuffed! LOL! Dinner was sooooo good! I couldn't stop at one serving. But since I skipped breakfast and had a small lunch I figure it didn't hurt anything. If anyone is wanting to try a new recipe I suggest trying this one! Spinach and Shrimp pasta (I used chicken) it was so creamy and good and the kids raved about it and even asked for it for breakfast, lol. So it must have been good. Now that dinner is done I plan on cleaning for the next two hours. i will get my kitchen back in order, living room vacuumed, bathroom cleaned up and then sit down and fold laundry until 7 pm. So You won't see another post from me until much later tonight.

    Kristin, your dinner sounds great! On core we don't use frozen fries so I just slice up several potatos into strips, spray a pan with pam and then spray the fries also with it, add salt or seasoning salt and bake at 425-450 degrees until they are brown and crispy on the outside but tender inside. And smart ones, lean cuisines, healthy choice and all those other frozen meals are not on core, but you get 35 weekly pts to use on stuff like that so they are not off limits, just not free on the core list. Did that help any? Are you eating your activity pts? Doesn't sound like it if you are hungry at 6 pm and out of pts, so try eating them or yes, switch to Core! I think it's a great program, you can always try it for one week and if you don't like it switch back to Flex. Let me know what you decide.

    Man,I've been tring to get to post this morning and it is now 8:30pm and i'm just now making it here.I've been really bad today.I did smoke about 4 or 5 cigrettes and started back on my caffiene free diet pepsi.Well,I can't be perfect all the time.I guess I should allow myself a slip up everyonce in awhile.
    It's kinda hard to be healthy when you were raised up in an unhealthy home.

    Kristen-You need some kittens? lol.I bought cat repellent just to keep them off of me so I can get stuff done.Their cute but a pain.Glad Sydney is feeling better.I've been pretty lucky.So far,my kids haven't been to the doctor yet.
    It's that time of year.

    Chris-Sorry about your daughter,hope she gets better soon.feed her lots of cheese and peanut butter if possible and keep water in her so she doesn't get dehydrated.I'm not a doctor but that normally worked for my kids or you can just try some rice.Good Luck

    QOTD:If I worked and could do anything I wanted to I would want that job that the host has on the travel channel.I can't think of her name but she travels and checks out spas and the best get aways to go to.You already know why I would want that job.This is hypathetical of coarse.I can't do it with 4 kids.That sure would be my dream job though.

    Kristin, the only thing I'm doing to stay somewhat healthy is just not eating as much as I always have in past pregnancies. In the past, I would eat and eat and eat and snack and snack and snack. Now with all these kids I don't have that much time. I'm still gaining weight and more than I should and I don't eat the things that I should but I do eat a few better things and just not as much.

  • Hi all...yes...still OP
    So I get up at 5:30 on Wed & Fri so I can shower, get dressed, have a cup of coffee & breakfast (bowl of cereal) before having to wake up the boys. I start to shag them out of bed around 6:30 so I can get them dressed, get all our stuff in the car and be on the road by 7. This morning Will was crying I want to sleep..let me sleep...ugggghhhhhhh! It took about 15 min just to get him dressed and a baggie of fruit loops in the car to get him to stop crying. Then of course when I go to pick them up tonight after work...neither one wants to come home with me!!! Is it worth all this hassle???? lol Tomorrow will be easier because my Mom comes here on Thursday. I'll still get up at 5:30 so I can get my 3 mile walk in. No exercise for me today. By the time I pick up the boys and get home and make some kind of dinner it's nearly 7. Then had to run and buy birthday presents for the 2 birthday parties we have this weekend.
    So, as usual, I'm beat!
    As far as QOTD..I'm just not creative enough to come up with questions...plus I don't get down here until evenings usually so I won't be asking any and I'll answer the one's I have a good answer for if that's OK .

  • Hello all.
    Sorry I didn't get here today. I have been SUPER busy today. Right now I'm tryin gto wind down enough to go to bed.

    Got up this morning and instead of turning the computer on, I went in and started geting my scout things ready for tomorrow's meeting. I have everything except the attendance chart which I wil ldo in the morning on poster board. Then I had to get dd ready for school, did my 2 mile WATP, took a shower, took dd and the baby chicks to preschool then went to the boys' school and took them to 3 different classes there, made a stop in town, back home to drop off chicks, back to preschool to pick dd up, then to the boys' school to pick up cub scouts and went to the meeting. Got home, finished getting supper ready, got dh out the door and started making phone calls for cub scouts. Had to run to town and drop off movies, go to the grocery store for some milk and such, then back home, called a friend, put kids to bed, talked to dh on the phone (he called to inform me that he is working 2 extra nights this weekend) and I am ZONKED!!!!!

    Sorry I'm not going to get personal tonight. I am sooooo tired. Tomorrow is more scouts. Every Wednesday and Thursday is cub scouts unless school is out or they get out early for something. Dang it, I still haven't done my calendar for the next 2 months. I need to get that done before tomorrow afternoon.

    I know.....I'm long winded.... .

    WTG to the losers, glad it seems everyone is feeling better, WTG on the excercise and water. I got in 120 oz and 2 mile WATP (30 minutes). Going to do it again tomorrow.

    one last post from me and then I'm off to bed. Lost was pretty good tonight. I like learning about the people on the island but the irritating part is, we still don't know why Kate was arrested! I guess that will be in a later show. Next weeks episode looks really good... more about the monsters on the island.

    Geri, so glad you are back OP!!!! I know you will go all the way this time. Don't you just feel better knowing you are doing the right thing?

    Crystal, I wouldn't worry about the weight you are gaining, I mean this will be the last baby you have so you'll have plenty of time after she/he is born to lose it and we will be here with you every step pf the way

    Angel, are you exercising? I know that helps alot of people overcome early eveing fatigue, it may help you. And yes I've posted that recips on the mom's losing weight board, here I will post the link for you http://groups.msn.com/momslosingweig...lete=0&CDir=-2 it's called Spinach and Shrimp pasta, I made mine with chicken though and seasoned it with poultry magic which gave the dish such a wonderful flavor, so you may want to try something like that instead of the plain salt and pepper it called for. But it was delicious! I think I'll be eating the leftovers tomorrow night for dinner if the kids don't eat it for breakfast, lol.

    Jill, I just noticed you posted the same time I did earlier tonight. Sorry I missed you! Yes it's fine to change your QOTD day, let me know which days work for you ok? Your dinner sounded wonderful! I love bbq sandwiches... now you have me craving bread, lol. I've been craving bad stuff all night, thank goodness I don't have anything in the house that I am craving or I just might cave, lol.

    QOTD- my fantasy job would be acting or broadway.... a real job I would love to have would be working with animals... so maybe a vet or even a pet store owner would be fun!

    Sorry such a late check in for me I have been having horrible migraines off and on for the last few days and today was horrid! I had to work on top of it lol gosh I'm a glutton for punishment!

    I start class on the 18th I'm veryyyyy anxious!!

    QOTD: Fantasy job, well I've wanted to be an accountant forever! But I also dream of playing in a symphony (boston symphony especially I LOVE Seiji Ozawa) I'm sure I spelled his name wrong lol oh well, and then the dream that I get to live is being a sahm with my 2 beautiful girls, I'm so grateful that god gave them to me!
