I so should not be on this thing right now! I should be leaving but oh well! LOL

I just had to share my QOTD because it is kind of funny. Ok here goes

I was transferring high schools the summer of my sophmore year and my cousing was going to the school that I was transferring too so when I spent the night at her house one night before school started she got out her yearbooks from her high school. She said I want you to pick out some guys you think are cute and I will see if I know them or if they are "cool" or not. So I picked a few out and she was kind of like, "oh they are ok" so I finally found this one guy named Ron and I said "oh he is really cute" she got really excited cause he was friends with her boyfriend so she could hook us up. Well we got to school, she introduced me and now we are married. I mean, there are a few stories in the middle but I dont have a lot of time LOL! But that is pretty much how I met him! Ok ladies have a great day! I only have a day and a half left so wish me luck!! I hope we get out early today. TTYL!!

Hi again... just fixin to head out and get some lunch. Dh won't be home until this evening, 5 pm or later. So I need out of this house before I go stir crazy, lol.

Jill, highschool sweethearts!! That is so neat. Have fun at school!

Leigh I have not got my fall catalog yet from VS! I love their stuff and have a couple things (I'm just leary about buying stuff without being able to try it on) but I love their lingerie and clothing line. But it always seems to look better on the models, huh? lol.

Jaymi, congrats on getting in the exercise today! I think I will do mine at nap time today since dh won't be here. And I'm so glad you understood what I was telling you, when I re-read that post it seemed harsh but that isn't what I meant. I just want you to be happy!! And getting healthy always improves the moods. And I know what you mean about tired of salads. I haven't had one in forever now because I just don't care for most of them, if I'm going to a fast food place I rather have a junior burger (most have the same pts as the salads) than a salad with a tiny amount of meat on it.

Melinda, so so sorry about that baby. She must be devastated. To miscarry is one loss but to carry to full term and that happen would kill me. I had a friend who's baby didn't develop a brain, she didn't find out until she was 20 weeks along and wouldn't ever consider abortion so she had to carry this baby to full term and have natural labor... all through the pregnancy the baby acted normal, kicking and moving about, but after she was born she only lived a couple hours and died in their arms. It was heartbreaking to me. I was so grateful for my kids and cried for along time for her loss. She now has a little boy who is a little older than Tanner. And he is very healthy. But that had a big effect on me back then. I hope you have fun with your sister and you are able to have some fun!

Melissa, my parents adored my dh before we were married. In fact his mother and my mother would adamant about getting us together and always talking marriage and all that, but as soon as my mom discovered I felt something for him she turned on me and forbade me to ever see him again and made me quit my job so I couldn't leave the house, I mean she turned into a real evil person. I know now she was deathly afraid of losing control of me and I was almost 18 years old so she was desperate. But as soon as I turned 18 I stood up to her and she kicked me out. It was all very painful back then, but it made me stronger and I'm so grateful for the descision I made, my dh was super during that time and never caused problems. He was my rock... and still is.

Deana, sounds like you've been busy! So what does it feel like to have a new driver in the house??

Cindi, we can handle the truth! LOL. I know those lbs will be off in no time. You have worked too hard and I know you won't let this beat you!

Leigh, yes I'll save some flex to eat a nice dinner out with dh tonight. I'm pretty lenient on my pts when he is home, but that is how I've always done it. And I was schocked too last night with big brother. When she said she tossed a coin in her head!!! I about came through that tv to strangle her, that was a lie! Well maybe it was a double headed coin, lol. I hope one of them leave, preferably Adria, this next week. What do you think?

Well, I have to get off here and get the kids dressed. I'm about to starve! LOL. TTYL!

Good afternoon. I had a sandwhich for lunch with 2 pts worth of chips (total of 5 points!). I'm still hungry, though, so I'm going to drink some water and then have carrots if I'm still snacky.

Jill- I like the story of how you met DH Hope you get out early today too LOL.

Spryng- I know, I'm kinda hoping one of the twins is voted out. THe rest of them have to realize they're too powerful as a pair and must be broken up. Maybe you'll get VS today? I'm going to hold off on ordering stuff - fall is still several months away and I want to see how much weight I can lose before I purchase any more stuff. You and DH have quite a love story too

everyone- question about McDonalds for future reference. Ya'll know how I usually go once a week for a flexlunch LOL . . . well, I usually get a small burger and small fries, and I know how many points it is, and I know McDonalds lists nutritional info on their web site. But, I can't find any info on calories or points for a hamburger Happy meal (minus the drink) . . . would that be the same points as a small burger and small fries? Or is that even smaller and therefore fewer calories/points?

DH has assured me that most, if not all, of the hotels we're staying at have a gym, so I can still exercise while on the road

Default Friday...

QOTD--I met Donald at a Singles Bible Study, when I first moved to town and my friends church was hosting it.

Jaymi--Oh my ICK. Galvaston is N-A-S-T-Y, that water is just gross and I cannot imagine even putting my foot in that stuff. LOL Oh and Whataburger has a new burger right now...the double cheese bbq burger (2 patties with shredded cheddar cheese, onions, pickles and lots o' bbq sauce) My hubby LOVES them.

Leigh--It is my understanding that in the happy meals there is a regular cheeseburger or hamburger and a small fries...the only thing that is sized differently is the kids size coke. (does that make sense) so if you are getting a small hamburger and fries then you are getting the same thing just not the toy.

Melinda--I am so sorry to hear about your friends loss...that is just heartbreaking. I will hold them in my thoughts and prayers. I hope having your sister come visit will help you.

Mel--sounds like you are on the right track..even if it's in half pound incriments...the numbers are going down. WOO HOO

Cyndi--go ahead and share hon...we're here to support you and help you get it right back off.

Penny--Have fun in *your* classroom...I hope regestration goes well Sunday.

Deana--I'm feeling rude and like I haven't welcomed you. I'm Cheri, welcome to our little family. You sound super busy.

Crystal--I hope things go well while DH is out of town.

Geri--Hey

Ok so did I forget anyone???? I'm sorry if I did...a big hello to all.

Now, I'm off to finish tidying up the inlaws arrive tomorrow. I'm making blueberry cream cheese muffins with a crumb topping, and some pb cookies so the boys will help me with those. I'll try to check in over the weekend but if not you'll know I'm knee deep in family time.

Have a great weekend yall.

Hello everyone! How’s everyone’s day going? The orientation was kool. The teacher seemed real nice.. All the mom’s were like these beach blonde babes with deep tans and little bitty shorts and stuff! Wow did I feel left out! I’m also a real shy person so I did speak.. But I just watched everyone else talk.. I gotta really work on my social skills! But I mostly sit back and observe. I think I might make today a lazy day! I feel like just being lazy and resting today. I know that I don’t get to have lazy days on the weekends because I don’t like for the house to be out of control on Mondays…. Anyways I’m going to try and update on this page today…. And then I gotta go be lazy!!! Plus… I’m hungry!!!

QOTD~ Ok, I might as well be blunt… I stole my DH from my cousin ok!!!! But it wasn’t my fault! And me and my cousin are just fine! Wish I could elaborate…. But that would take all day!

Melinda~ My heart goes out to you and your friend! There is nothing you can do for her but be there.. Don’t you wish there was more we could do or we could just go back and change things! I couldn’t even imagine the pain she is feeling, I miscarried at only 3 months and I was depressed for over a year… but to think of losing a baby that you just gave birth too.. .that is so humbling. We should all just sit down and be grateful and thankful for what we have.. Just like you! I will keep both of you in my prayers!

Spryng- You didn’t sound harsh to me at all.. You told me EXACTLY what I needed to hear… and although I don’t know you… you don’t seem like a harsh person to me! I had a junior cheeseburger deluxe… but…. Of course it had mayo and cheese on it.. Sometimes if I just really need a burger, I’ll even bring my own wheat buns and mayo and cheese… But I just love the fries!

Michelle- Man.. Do I ever know what you are going through!! I thought me and my dh were going to divorce after I had my daughter. Whew… and it’s still rough how fake and messy that side of the family is.. And then my dh’s parents didn’t marry, so his father’s side of the family fights with the mother’s side and puts me in the middle of it. Mostly it’s his mother and his aunt. Me and the grandmother had words… but I got to know her and she got to know me too and she realized I wasn’t the “slut” and “tramp” that his aunt and mother were telling her I was. The big thing is… EITHER OF THEM had set eyes on me before me and my dh met! So they had no clue who I was! It was… crazy! When I had the baby… they said I was hiding the baby from them and all kinds of crap… it got BAD!! I lived 2 doors down from my dh’s grandmother, and they would go over there everyday, but wouldn’t come see my daughter. Now their mad because she won’t go to any of them.. DUH! My MIL even went off on my pastor!! There were days were she wouldn’t speak to me for weeks, then come to my house and smile all in my face like she loves me to death… the aunt does it too! Sometimes they act like that in one day! So… who knows.. You just gotta forgive her.. In your heart, and move on. You might not ever forget… but who cares what she thinks anyways.. And she should be willing and happy to watch the kids while she was there…. Regardless if they are all her blood grandchildren or not… because that is what a real woman would do.. Wouldn’t you?!? Oops now I got carried away! Sorry….

Leigh- I’m the McDonalds expert… the burger and small fries are the same for a happy meal.. The burgers for the happy meals are just regular sized hamburgers.

Deana~ good job eating out!! I need to follow in your footsteps!

Cheri~ ARGHHH NO!! You shouldn’t say such things… like Whataburger, and double patty… and… cheese! AHH I could almost drive to TX to get one! I’m soo bad!! OH and I love their fries and their ketchup!

Ok.. Now I know I missed a lot more but hey 18!! Goodness! I can’t type that much… or my day will be over with!! I‘m hungry anyways… So I will talk with everyone later!!!

Good afternoon.
Melinda, so sorry about your friends baby. I am sure that you will be there for here though.
Leigh, I don't know much about the mcdonalds question. Here is an interesting fact about mcdonalds though. 1 packet of their ranch salad dressing as just as much fat as a hamburger and french fries, So this if for everyone, the salad you get may not be as healthy as it seems after the dressing and everything on it.
Spryng, glad your dh is coming home. Enjoy the weekend.
Well, I haven't gone back to read the rest of yesterdays thread. I was suppossed to get my hair cut yesterday, but SIL called me and told me whoever made my appointment with her, ended up double booking my SIL. So I went this morning. I was getting ready to pay her and she told me it was free, consider it my back to school cut. She still got tipped though. Well, around here, school gets out an hour early every friday. They say its for the teachers to get more work done, I think its so they can get an early start on the weekend. Tomorrow is dh's company outing. We are going to Celebration City in Branson. The boys will enjoy that. My weigh in this week was the same. I wasn't expecting a loss with TOM, so I am happy I didn't gain. Have a good weekend everyone.

QOTD: I met my dh at my best friend's house when I was sixteen. He is her cousin, so he would come down and visit his family. I didn't really know him, he was just Shannon's cousin to me. I couldn't have cared less. Well, two years later, Shannon was getting married, and I had just come out of a bad relationship, and so had Richard. Shannon's mom set us up during the wedding weekend. He was the best man, I was a friggin candlelighter. She had a gone with the wind theme, so the dresses were big and hideous, I love her, but good grief. Anyway, we dated for four months and got engaged. We were engaged for nine months, and have now been married for 7 years. My dh was at my high school graduation. Shannon and I graduated together. Anyway, thats it.

Hi Girls

I know I am never going to be able to address everyone here but Hello! Sorry I have Mia. How is everyone doing. Sounds great. I have a had a few shaky days where I was totally Off Plan. I think my biggest problem is portion control and not enough fiber. I have to work on those two big time.

Leigh, I want to paint my toenails, I took the polish off last weekend after having a dark burgandy on and they look like I have pink nail polish on , some strong stuff! Or weak remover. You and your husband sound so romantic. I wish my husband would romance me more. Don't we all ? Maybe I am the only one. Anyway whatever you deceide to do, hotel or road trip have fun!

Spryng, happppppy so happy for you to see you dh this weekend. Are you making him dinner tonight?

Michelle so sorry about the MIL situation. Don't let anyone tell you that you are not a good mother or wife! I think your great from what you always post. Keep your chin up and don't let her get to you.

Crystal, it is kind of nice when dh goes away for a couple of days. Well before we had kids I liked it, but now I like help with them. And he is a great daddy. You are so nice for helping your mother the way you do. And cleaning her house while you are pregnant. She is a lucky lady to have such a nice daughter.

Melinda what a terrible loss. My heart goes out to them.

Jaymi, hows it going girl? I love McD's fries too. Once you smell them in your car after the drive through how can you only eat one? I also like wendy's burgers too.

Hi Jill, Di, Penny, Ricci and sorry if I am forgetting anyone. Tonight for supper its going to be teryaki salmon with ginger, potatoes, and homemade coleslaw and probally another veggie. I can't wait for dinner. Lunch was ham and cream cheese, pickle roll ups on a wrap. I could eat all day today straight through!! Oh well, have a great Friday everyone! Julie

Good afternoon all!

Before I forget, Leigh, this is a wonderful site to get pt info on different restaurants http://www.dwlz.com/restaurants.html I printed all the ones out that I go to and keep it in my van so I am never caught off guard by choices when I'm eating out. Check it out and let me know what you think ok?

Julie, I think we all wish our dh's would be more romantic, lol. My dh is getting better but after a few years of prodding, lol. But I'll take what I can get. My biggest fantasy is for him to make arrangements for a babysitter one weekend, or just one night, and then come home and suprise me with a night getaway and all the details taken care of. All I would have to do is pack a bag. Someday.. lol.. someday it will happen. I have faith! And no, I don't think I'll be making dinner tonight. I still need to go grocery shopping and dh volunteered to go with me and help this evening and we'll probably grab something before or after shopping. Your dinner sounds amazing!! Very healthy! I am really liking salmon lately too. Did you know fish helps with weightloss more than any other protein?

Leigh, did you finally get your pedicure done?

Ricci, I always wanted to go to branson. Is it kid friendly?? Have fun!

Jaymi, I would probably feel inhibited to speak too around all those skinny tanned moms. I get nervous around new people, especially if they are very beautiful for some reason. And you are right, I'm not a harsh person, lol.. I can be silly and like to pick on people (in a fun way, ask Geri, lol) but I'm not mean (unless you like that kind of thing, lol, I aim to please!) but I think you know me better than you think you do! LOL.

Cheri, have fun with your in-laws tomorrow! Sounds like your are quite the baker.

Well, I'm off here for now. TTYL!

Thank Goodness for copy/paste..I almost lost this one!

Good afternoon all!

Spryng, have fun with Dh! It amazes me that TOM shows up at the same time as Dh alot of the time . Dh will arrange the babysitting at about the same point as the kids outgrow the need for one! That's just the way it goes I think.

Leigh.. When are you leaving again? My brain is mush these days. Are you still heading to FL for Labor Day or did you change your plans?

Melinda... so sad about your gf. I can't even imagine... Tony's cord was around his neck too but thankfully my Dr caught that there was some type of problem while it was still minor. I ended up having him about 5 days before schedule. My prayers are with you and her too!

Ricci..now we need a picture of your new haircut! That reminds me...it's time to add some pics to my album. Getting out an hour early on Fridays does sound somewhat suspect to me too!

Julie...lots of fruits and veggies will help with that fiber...yes, I know...I'd rather eat fries too ! Hope you're back OP soon.

Come on Cindi...just post it here...it'll get you nice and mad and ready to get back to it! That's what we're here for...besides, if you can't tell us, who can you tell? We're here for you.

We ended up going to a bar & grill last night. I had some chips and salsa, a chicken quesadilla and 2 miller lites. Dessert was a raspberry pie made with sherbet, marshmellow cream, cream cheese and a graham cracker crust. It was ok...I'd much rather have chocolate . There was a group of young men sitting next to us that had been drinking most of the day. We were outside and sitting on resin chairs and one of them was leaning back and his chair broke IDIOT! Reminds me of us when we were younger though... stupid drunken girls! Ah the memories . It was fun.

Spent the afternoon making more pickles...hamburger slices this time and a beef stew for dinner. Mine always turnes out tough so Mom came over to show me the right way to do it . It's going to be good .

Michelle..how're you doing today?

Hi Penny, Cheri, Jaymi, Mel (congrats on the .5 ) , Jill, Jae, Mindee, Angel, Kristin, Crystal, Deana, Di...did I forget ANYONE?? Have a great rest of the afternoon and I might check back later.

QOTD...met through mutual friends... were engaged after 4 months and then married the following year.

Smile Good Afternoon

Hi gals. Just got home a few minutes ago. Fixing to pick up some mess around here and hope badly for a nap.
Found out that dh doesn't leave for Florida until Sunday morning, early like 6am. They will drive to Tallahassee and stay the night to take care of some business Monday, then drive to Sarasota and stay Monday thru Wednesday night. So he may be home by Friday.

Julie, thanks for the nice comments about me. But my mom is the only one I can count on when I really, really need a sitter and she pays me just enough to pay for my decorating class so it's all worth it.

Okay QOFD: We met in high school. Actually he married into my BIL's family. But we really hadn't met before. He was a junior and I was a senior. He was kind of nerdy but really nice. He was best friends with a guy I was dating. It was just a senior, almost graduating fling, it was nothing like me but fun while it lasted. Anyways, while he worked, dh and I would wait together for him, and became friends. And then closer and closer friends. We began dating in March, engaged in May and married in September. He was 17 and I was 18, we weren't pregnant, just ready to get married. September 30th will be 9 years. I love him with all my heart, but he's really not my soul mate. We just love each other and make each other happy. He really hadn't EVER dated before me and well, I had. That's it.

Spryng, enjoy dh while he's home.

Melinda, scary situation, but glad everything was fine.

Cindi, I agree with Geri. Post your weight and you'll get angry enough and we'll support the theory that tomorrow is a new day.

Okay, gotta wash some dishes and pray for that nap. I'll go back to town later for milk and dinner. Monk's season finale is tonight and it's going to be a good one. Talk to you gals later.

Good Afternoon....almost evening here.

Tried to get back earlier but had to go to buy dh more work jeans and then the hardware store is selling everything at 40% off so we had to stop there too.

Leigh: He hasn't been driving everywhere but I did let him drive into town last night, which was a first. He was only going to drive about a mile and a half but I told him if he was comfortable enough to go ahead and drive into town, just let me know if he got too nervous. He did pretty good.

Spryng: I am a nervous wreck having a new driver in the house. He hasn't had alot of practice so he's still kinda nervous, but getting better all the time. In Missouri, they can get permit at 15 but have to have it atleast 6 months before they can get license at 16. Then they still have restrictions like no driving between 1-5 a.m. and while on permit they have to be with a licensed adult over 21. So I don't have to worry about him being out alone.....yet!!!

Cheri: You're not rude, hon.....I know it's hard to address everyone on here.....if you want to get your post done in less than an hour..... Thank you for the welcome.

Jaymi: You can do it!!! We all know you can. Eating out isn't that bad, just check values...I'm counting calories. But there are other advantages too. I've found that I'm not taking the kids to McDonald's near as much as I used to, therefore saivng money that I can spend at the grocery store on food for me..... Good luck getting back OP. I know you can do it.

Melinda: So sorry to hear about your gf. I too had one that the cord was around his neck. They kept telling me that my doctor was on his way and I kept telling them he wasn't gonna make it in time. They called the ER doctor down and he caught my baby, right after he snapped his 2nd glove on, as he bounced off the end of the table....it's funny now, but it wasn't then. Just remember that all you can do is to be there for support and a shoulder to cry on. Hopefully they are a strong couple and they will make it through this and decide to try again. If need be remind them that they have to be able to lean on each other in these times.

Just called the insurance company about adding ds....phewwwwwwww they don't rate permit drivers, but she is running a quote and going to call me back to tell me how awful it's going to be in 6 months when he gets his license. Crossing my fingers we can afford him....

Well about time to start on supper.....dh has to work so I'm taking kids to play at park while I walk, after he leaves.

Not looking for any loss at WI on Tues. tom decided to accend on me too..... .....atleast dh has to work all weekend.

Will try to get back later tonight.....if not then ds is on puter and I'll be back in the a.m.

Have a great evening all.

Red face Okay, I didn't think I could get away with it...

but I thought about it, and I haven't weighed in at least 3 weeks while I was being bad and dealing with TOM...so it's not like I gained 6 pounds in a week, I gained 6 in 3-4 weeks of being off plan. But I can get back where I need to be, I have done it before. I can, I can, I CAN!! I loved onederland and I am going back to stay!

Thanks for being supportive, I know it's not fair to only post the good stuff. I know I made someone here feel good about what they THOUGHT was a bad weigh in until they see this!! Glad I could be of assistance!!

My 17 yo step son, who is an idiot, took Logan's fish out of the bowl and held it and petted it last night, and it died, so I have to go now and get him a new one! Poor boy has had a bad week!! I got an aquarium cover to keep little(and way too big) hands from being tempted to mess with the new one. He really is an idiot. GRRRRRRRRRRR!

What a sad thing to lose a baby anytime, but that far into it is so tragic. Melinda, my thoughts and prayers are with the family and with you! I had a friend who lost a baby that was due the same time as my first one at 34 weeks and going through that with her was hard! I felt so blessed, but also felt guilty at times that mine was with me and hers wasn't! I'm so sorry!

Got a kid who really wants his fish now, so I will be back soon!

Cindi...don't feel too bad...I gained 5 in the same amount of time and I was getting oh so CLOSE to onederland! Thanks for sharing!
