Oh, yeah, QOTD: I would have lasik surgery done. I have never had a flat stomach, and people Iknow who have had tummy tucks, didn't last long. And not to brag, but I wouldn't have a boob job, because mine are near perfect! ;) No, really they are. I think thats all for me for tonight. Have a good evening ladies.

Chubba 08-08-2004 09:52 PM

Hi all,

Party was fun...didn't get enough sleep!
Welcome back Leigh...I'm not back OP yet :(.
Spryng, yuk..on the body..yuk on the pipes. You tell your Dh he can't clean your pipes until he cleans your pipes ;).
Congrats to the losers. Congrats to the cleaners. I had to mop the floor today because there were 6 boys here that managed to pee all over the bathroom I swear (almost makes me glad that Will is still in diapers... they call that potty trained???? GROSS). The party was just for fun.
Took an 18 mile bike ride by myself today. Won't help the WI but it was nice anyway!
Too tired to address all but I am as always thinking of you all! I need to go back to 236 and read what I missed...welcome to the newbie Heidi I think!
Take care and I'll check in tomorrow.

Oh....definately a boob job...they've never been perky or anywhere near perfect ... RICCI...grrr! :)

Angel Marie 08-08-2004 10:03 PM

Hey girls just checking in to let ya'll know i'm still here.DH has been off all week and we've been pretty busy.I'll catch up with you gals tomorrow. He starts back to work then.ttyl. :D

Bayleysmom 08-08-2004 11:31 PM

Well Ricci I didnt really need to hear that you have perfect boobs!! Just Kidding LOL! Did you nurse your kids? Cause if you did and you still have perfect boobs you must have good genes!

Well I hope everyone had a good night. I got a lot of housework done but nothing else. Not that I had anything to do anyway! :)

Angel we'll be glad to hear how your week with the dh went. Welcome back!

Geri gross about the bathroom! That's my biggest fear about boys I think! I don't envy you! I'm glad your party went well and good job on the bike ride!! Good luck getting back on plan, I know you can do it!

Ok I'm off to fold laundry and to take care of a cranky baby! TTYL

mompen 08-09-2004 01:11 AM

Hi Ladies :)

Hope you all day had a wonderful evening!

Ok I am going to address everyone and not forget anyone.... :) Here goes :)

Leigh,
I am so glad you are back on track and back with us! I am so proud of you! You can get those couple pounds off in no time!

Michelle,
I made oatmeal cookies today also. Are they from scratch? Hope you don't have too hard of a time at work tonight. Hope you don't have to work with the virgin mamma tonight :)

Jill,
That is just great you will be going to the gym. Is there a daycare there? I never realized until Leigh pointed it out that boiled peanuts is a southern thing... :) It is the gumbo green peanuts that are boiled in water, seafood boil and salt and then soaked. They are served usually hot. :)

Ricci,
Let me know how mom liked Hawaii... What part did she go to? My bil and sil live in Honolulu. They absoutely love it there :) Thanks for starting a new thread!

Geri,
18 miles, wow! That is just awesome! :cheer: How long does that take you? Glad the party went well...... next time invite me :)

Melissa,
Where have you been this weekend? How is Patrick sleeping lately? Is dh feeling any better?

Spryng,
I hope dh arrived :) Have a good night with him and we will talk to you tomorrow :)

Crystal,
Hope Andrew has a better night in his bed. How are you feeling with your migraines today?

Jaymi,
Hope everything is going well with you! Are you back on plan?

Angel,
Glad you and dh are getting to spend some time together. I was just thinking about you! Glad you are back with us ;)

Julie,
How did the roast turn out?

Kristen,
Where are you girly? Get here and let us know how you are! Just wanted to tell you Happy Birthday from yesterday :) :balloons: Hope it was a great day for you!

Cheri,
How are you doing this evening? Glad you are enjoying yoga!

Freckles,
I know it is hard to keep us with this thread! Hope you are having a good day!

Melinda,
Happy Late Anniversary! How did you celebrate? When is John Wesley's 1st bday party?

Cindi,
Are you getting ready for school again tomorrow? How are the kids enjoying it so far?

Lori,
You are doing great with your loss! I just noticed you are not to far from goal! Awesome! :cheer:

Di,
I bet you are having a great time with your mom and grandma in! :)

Heidi,
How are you doing today?

Andrea,
Hope you are hanging around! Have a great day!

Misty,
If you are around, just wanted to see how you were doing! How's the baby? Not a baby anymore I bet!

Mindee,
Where are you? Hope you are having a good day!

Ok I sure hope I didn't miss anyone! I luv ya all!

Hubby decided after his nap this afternoon to jump up and run to the casino... He called his mom to watch the boys and we took off. A spur of the moment kind of thing... :) We ate at the Olive Garden on the way there. It was sooo good! I had the Taste of Italy... needless to say I used my flex points.....lol I also had a Berry Granita..... now I know why I don't drink.... :) But it was a great night.... We ended up not losing a penny and even paid back our supper.... WE had a great time!

mompen 08-09-2004 01:48 AM

Jill,
Sorry I had to go from the yahoo..... Hunter had a bad dream and I had to go console him ;( Poor baby!

He is fine now and sleeping but I can't seem to get back into yahoo. Sorry :( again.... I didn't want to leave you hanging :)

Send the internet man here when he is finished at your place :)

TTYL!

Bayleysmom 08-09-2004 02:03 AM

I was wondering where you went! If you wouldn't have written I wouldn't have known where you went cause you are still showing up on my yahoo screen. What's up with that?! I think we all need new computers cause they all seem to be screwing up! Well I'll be on a little longer if you ever get back on, if not have a good night! See ya

melmcc99 08-09-2004 07:44 AM

Morning Ladies. ...I'm BACK! It was just a hectic weekend. I did read through all the post and saw how everyone's homes were getting ship shaped. Mine too is all cleaned up except the floors. I'll get a bit more done once Abigail is back in school.

I also saw that Michelle and JIll lost some weight! YIPPIE!! Maybe someone else loss too, I don't remember.

Leigh WTG on being back OP yesterday!

Spryng..OMG on the pipes and your husbands experience. Truck drivers see some crazy stuff. My brother is one also. Not over the road though.

QOTD yesterday:.....I would cut half my big butt off and reduce my boobs in half too. Since nursing just made them sag. I'm not sure where then end and my stomach starts...lol. Maybe a tummy tuck too, since the C-secton with bugga took care of that. BUT, I would want all this weigh to be gone first, so that I could really see what needed to be done.

mompen 08-09-2004 08:01 AM

Good Morning Ladies!

I was hoping Melissa would start the question of the day...hmmmmm......

Ok I pmed Melissa and made her come up with one with me ;)

What is your favorite tv show, one past and one present?

Ok, present for me is Joe Schmo 2 but the season finale is tomorrow night. I can't wait :)

And the past one is Full House but I still watch it now on Nick at Night :)

Jill,
Sorry again :) I hope you have a great day today!

Mel,
You can get back on plan today! That is why we have a challenge going .... to challenge each other to stay on plan so I am not letting you slip! :) Hang in there!

As for me.... I am not going anywhere today.... :) Gonna try to get some scrapping done and just keep tiding up the house... may clean the inside of the frig and clean the ceiling fans.

Tomorrow I have to be at church all day cleaning my classroom. We are painting all the classrooms, I have to go over my lesson plans and make a list of supplies I need.... :)

melmcc99 08-09-2004 08:07 AM

QOTD: Ok Present TV show ..ER but I never get to watch it. AND PAST....Party of Five.

melmcc99 08-09-2004 08:49 AM

Ok, Penny I know I slipped with that snack I had last night, but I forgot I was extra good at dinner both nights. I had a salad on Saturday and a Tuna Melt, one half with a slice of tomato and cheese for dinner last night. I didn't lose, but I didn't gain either. I just had to check, since you told me you were down more.....I can't let you get to far ahead of me. I am going to BBB today for a new scale. I don't like my digital. I want it to be excact. I have a bunch of coupons. Anyway, hope you have a good one.

watkinsguru 08-09-2004 09:03 AM

Good Morning Ladies

Hi there. I didn't post for like 24 hours and we're on another thread. That's good though.
Let's see...

Michelle, WTG on that weight loss. You are doing great.

Penny, Spryng and whoever else has their house spotless, I only live 30 miles East of Dallas, any offers? LOL!!!

You did get me motivated to get some stuff done today, just not sure how much.

Thanks for all your concerns about my lump and headache. I had the headache all day yesterday, did get in an hour and a half nap. Then went to mom's for a bit and then they took us out to eat for all the work dh did at their house this weekend. After that dh took the girls with him and came home, and me and Andrew went grocery shopping. I finally got my Tylenol and got to take it at like 730 last night. It started to help and during the night when I woke up I felt it just alittle but not that bad. I went ahead and took some more this morning.
Andrew didn't sleep any better or worse, he started coughing again and sneezing and his eyes and nose is running. I don't want to go anywhere today, but I have to get these deposits in the bank so maybe after nap time. Other than that, I WILL catch up on laundry and work on more school stuff. I got Alisa's speech lesson in the mail. Gotta go through that.

Yesterday's QOTD: No surgery for me. I've never been for it. I don't like surgery and we're suppose to love ourselves just the way we were made. That's just me.

Today's QOTD: past "Friends", I go back and watch them all the time. I've got the first 4 dvds of their seasons and I'll go back and watch them all the time. In fact, I may do that today and crochet too.
present "The Dead Zone", Anthony Michael Hall is so hot and it's a great show.

I'll check in later, kids are up and hungry and I thought I'd pass up coffee, but I can almost taste some, so I must make some.
TTYL

alsbttrfly 08-09-2004 10:16 AM

Hello Ladies,
I took the kids to the pool and now I'm exhausted. Just sitting down for a few minutes before I have to get up and get started on dinner. I'm going to try a WW recipe for chicken pot pie, has anyone tried it? I'll have to let you know how it turns out. DS is napping and DD is watching Aladdin. She napped during the car ride home and is awake now, which is good, hopefully she'll go to bed early tonight. I got 6 straight hours of sleep last night, which was absolutely wonderful.

As for the QOTD- past shows are Friends and Seinfeld. Current I'm not really sure because we don't get to see everything you do. But lately I've enjoyed Scrubs, ER, Everwood and I Gilmore Girls when they show it. I can't really narrow it down, Sorry!!
Hope everyone is having a good day and enjoying the summer days because they are disappearing pretty quickly.

Penny- sounds like you guys had a great time last night!! I haven't been to the olive garden in years. Hopefully we'll get to Italy in the spring and try some authentic italian food!!! I love going to the casino!!! Whenever I go to the states to visit the ILs my MIL and I go the casino. She loves it even more than I do and she usually loses money. I guess she keeps going back in hopes that she'll win some of her money back.

Have to go and do some more laundry. Be Back Later!!

mompen 08-09-2004 10:27 AM

Melissa,
now don't show me up too much... Let me know if you get a new scale today. Congrats on doing so good lately :)

Lori,
I am glad you had such a great time at the pool today! I bet you are tired. I am always wore out. The sun just drains me....lol I would love to go to Italy :) Take me with you! My hubby really wants to go to Sicily. Congrats on getting in some sleep :)

Crystal,
Hope you get some spit and polish done today :) You poor thing. I can't believe you and Andrew still aren't doing any better... :( Hang in there!

As for as the question from yesterday... everybody has their own opinion and that's why I like coming here... :) As far as loving our bodies... I do love myself. I don't however feel good about my extra weight on my body right now.... We are all here trying to lose weight.... if not to look better and feel healthier, than what are we here for?

Well I am off to Walmart to get my groceries and such :)

need2losemore 08-09-2004 10:31 AM

Good morning ladies,
crystal, glad your feeling better, and sorry Anthony Micheal Hall is mine!
We always make sure the boys are in bed by 8:30 on sunday nights, so we can watch the Dead Zone uninterrupted. My fav tv show, present, Dead Zone, Joe schmo 2,Days of our lives. Past Friends, Full house, ALF, Punky Brewster, and Rags to Riches, I think thats what it was called.
Anyway, Congrats to all the losers. I have to go exercise and clean my house. Just so you all with boys know, their bathrooms are gross even when they are older. My ds's and dh share their bathroom, and while they don't pee on the floor, it splatters, and guess who has to clean it? I tell myself one day the boys will be old enough to clean the bathroom themselves. Anyway, I will check in later. Have a great day.

watkinsguru 08-09-2004 10:38 AM

Oh Penny, I don't like my extra weight, I don't like my sagging boobs, I don't like my feet and I actually have noticed a few lines around my eyes, I'm 27, they're not suppose to be there, right? LOL!!!
But, I don't like doctors, or hospitals or needles or any of that so I wouldn't do good with surgery. I just can't stand seeing all these women trying to defy aging by surgery, makes me sick, do you know what I mean? Like my mom can't stand her gray hair, my MIL, wears mid-drifts shirts, she's 44 or almost and I think aging is a great thing. Like my bil tells my mom, what's the alternative...death. I know I'm way off the subject and I know none of you were or are trying to defy aging, but that's what I think of when people start talking surgery.
Andrew definitely isn't feeling better. But I would have to say I am. I've already made beds and cleaned the kitchen, just the dishes and the sink, and put up two loads of laundry while one is drying and another is washing. So you all must have motivated me. But then again, you all made me want to watch Friends and I'll do that too.
The funniest thing, I refer to the girls as just that. Of course, Ally is Ally and Alisa is Kailey, (which is her middle name), or sister. But Andrew calls Ally, Ally, but for the life of me, he keeps calling Alisa, girl. That's what he actually calls her. He knows she's Alisa, but he calls her girl. It's so funny and cute. Just thought I'd share.
TTYL

watkinsguru 08-09-2004 10:44 AM

Ricci, isn't funny how geeky Anthony Michael Hall was in Sixteen Candles, and all those movies. Sure grew up to be a hottie. What about Walt, he's a hottie too. That one episode when he was in that kind of tight plain white t-shirt, oh my.
Were you watching The 4400? That was really a neat show. We'll be waiting until next season.

jbbm 08-09-2004 11:06 AM

Good Morning Girls

Crystal you are working your butt off. Take it easy on yourself. I wish I could get some motivation, I might make a cup of coffee. But I don't have any skim milk to put in it.

I agree, Spryng you tell hubby fix the pipes before anything else. It is to hard on you to try and manage all that stuff by yourself. I am sure he will get it taken care of. How long is he home for? Good luck. Gosh I have got to get back on track this week. Hopefully all of you can keep me in check!

Penny the roast turned out great. Moist and delish. It was a beef roast and we made wraps with home-made guacamole and tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and tortilla chips and all the other naughty fixings.

Ricci your a lucky woman. I wish I had perfect boobs .

Well I better get going. The kids are talking in my ear and I can harldy type. Hi to everyone else. Did someone mention oatmeal cookies? Oh, one of my favs. Check in later. Julie

Loveliam 08-09-2004 11:28 AM

Morning, gals :) Still OP today! Had 6 points so far . . .

Hey, Ricci! I'm scared of lasik surgery :(

Geri- good to hear from you . . . I can only imagine as DH alone messes up the bathroom

Penny- I'm glad you have faith in me - that's sweet :D Sounds like you and DH had an awesome spontaneous time! Good for you :)

Mel- good to see you again :) We had a hectic weekend too - actually, a hectic week last week. Hope you enjoyed your weekend, though.

Lori- doesn't the laundry just seem never-ending? I hate it!

Crystal- glad you're feeling better. I hope Andrew turns the corner soon. That's soooo cute about calling Alisa "girl." LOL.

QOTD: past- Golden Girls. (I know that sounds strange, but it's very nostalgic for me and reminds me of my grandmother and her friends when she was alive and in a Florida retirement condo). Current- CSI first and Six Feet Under second. Hmm, makes it seem like I'm obsessed with death

I know I've been posting less than usual. Liam has become much more mobile and I have to stay on top of him more and make sure he isn't putting something danerous in his mouth or falling down while trying to walk from table to couch holding on! Every day's an adventure! TTYL.

Loveliam 08-09-2004 11:30 AM

Julie- I missed your post (was writing mine) - hi! Oatmeal cookies are your fav, huh? I'd have to say Chocolate chip for me! Any big plans for the day?

Chubba 08-09-2004 11:31 AM

Morning ladies :coffee:

10:19 and still drinking my coffee. :) Gotta have it in the morning. Hardly ever in the afternoon or later.

Crystal...come clean my house too! Naw, you're pregnant and after all that work you need some rest! I have absolutely NO motivation today. I haven't even exercised or showered yet. :( It's supposed to rain so we've gotten ourselves downstairs and here I am. At least the boys are changed and dressed and fed and happy (for the moment  ).

OK, which one of you sent your sleepless kiddie vibes to my house? Tony woke up at about 2:15 just screaming to be picked up. I thought he would fall asleep with me on the couch but he kept sitting up and looking at me and just tossing/turning. So I finally took him into our bed at about 3:30..never have done that with him. He fell asleep instantly...so did I. Woke up around 4:15 and put him back in the crib. Don't know what woke him up...maybe a dream or something. He was up by 7:30 for the morning.

Julie, the roast sounds like it was delish! I love anything with a Mexican twist.

QOTD...current ER, Survivor, the Bachelor/Bachelorette ... just read that Jen Scheff will be the next bachelorette in January. Past... Melrose Place. I think Soapnet is going to re-run it soon but I don't have time or patience to watch so much TV lately.

Ricci (aka PB-perfect boobs  )...I think it was more splatters than actual pee on the floor...I was exagerating but it was gross none the less. So much to look forward too! ;)

Penny...your last minute date sounds like fun. I love Olive Garden but try to avoid it since I'm horrible at making good decisions when it comes to eating out and the breadsticks are to die for!

Lori...hard to imagine you fixing dinner while the rest of us are fixing breakfast  . 6 straigt hours of sleep huh? What's that!!

Don't really have any plans for today. I do need stamps so will probably have to make a run to the post office or the grocery store. Hopefully my Mom will call and she'll pick them up for me. I hate to drag the boys for such a short trip. Will throws a fit if we don't stay out longer....then he'll act up in a store if he's in that kind of mood...it's just easier to stay home.

Well, if we're down here a lot today I'll be checking in often. Have a great day. I have WI tonight and I'm not looking forward to it...but then maybe that will get me back OP when I see how much I have gained :( .

Hi to everyone else out there and I'll TTYL!!

Chubba 08-09-2004 11:33 AM

Hi Leigh...dual posts!! Glad you're back OP. I WILL BE SOON!!!! So far so good for today..but no exercise.
Glad you're back!!

melmcc99 08-09-2004 11:39 AM

Yahoooo! I got my half hour walk off the pounds in....I'm gonna make it this week. Then I'll be doin the Dora " We did it" dance!

Hello, Leigh, Ricci, Lori and Crystal and Geri, Spryng, Michelle, Penny, Jill and whoever I missed. I'll be out most of the rest of the day, so I won't post again till around dinner here.....that reminds me, I must take something out of the freezer....

Chubba 08-09-2004 11:46 AM

Congrats on the walk Mel! Wooo Hoooo!!

Bayleysmom 08-09-2004 12:02 PM

Man, I tried to get up a little earlier but I still have a lot to catch up on! My house is pretty close to clean which is a miracle for Mondays so I will be able to focus on the "zone" today as flylady puts it! I'll be home all day cause I will be waiting for the computer man. Knowing how they are I'm sure he will be here around 5 tonight!! I dont really mind staying home today though cause it is supposed to be 102 today!! Yuck! I don't do well in heat like that.

QOTD: Anything from back in the day! Penny I had to laugh when you said Full House cause my sister and I used to watch it all the time and I have been watching it a lot now that it is on Nick at Night! However I would have to say that Roseanne is my favorite. I just caught up on almost all the episodes after I had Bayley cause they were on all times of the day and night and I was up all the time with a new baby! So I would feed the baby and watch Roseanne, she cracks me up! As for now I love the Bachelor and Bachelorette! Thanks Geri for the update on that, that's cool it will be Jen!

Melissa good job getting your house clean and getting in some exercise today, don't let Penny show you up! LOL!

Penny I got really excited when you said you were going to go clean your classroom and paint tomorrow. I think that is so exciting for you! I can't wait till I get my own classroom and can teach, I think it will be great. You are going to have so much fun! Are you totally excited? I also got really jelous when you said you had Olive Garden last night! I love that place, we just barely got one like a year ago so we were way stoked! I can't go there and not eat the breadsticks though so if we ever go I have to be very good for the week. Hope you ate some breadsticks for me!

Crystal, sorry you didn't sleep any better. It will get better soon, I hope. As for your headache, someone posted something about it being pregnancy related and that made me remember when I was pregnant I had really bad headaches for awhile because of all the hormone changes. That could be what is causing it, not sure though. Have you been drinking enough water, my dh gets bad headaches when he gets dehydrated. Just a thought. Good job on getting housework done! Hope you have a productive day and have fun watching friends.

Lori, the pool sounds fun! I always get exhausted there too! Hope you get caught up on your laundry! Wierd that you are eating dinner now and I haven't even had breakfast.

Ricci (Perfect Boobs) PUNKY BREWSTER!! You had me laughing out loud! I loved that show too! I wish they would bring it back on Nick at Nite or something so we could watch it again!

Julie, Oh my gosh your dinner sounded soooooooooo good. I love making tacos that way. My dh and my dad were raised eating tacos with ground beef so my mom always made them like that but when I found out that she was raised eating them with roast beef I made her make them and I thought I had been robbed my whole life! They are so much better, no offense to people who like them with ground beef but I prefer the roast beef. Send some my way ok?

Leigh I know what you mean about babies becoming more mobile, Bayley started crawling in July and is now pulling herself up on things so if she is not in her walker or confined in this room with me I don't like to be on the computer either. I think the lovely days of having a cute little baby that just lays around is over! I knew my life would change when she started crawling and it has! Hope you find time to post more though cause we miss you!

Geri sorry about the bad vibes I sent your way! LOL! Bayley did ok last night but she is still not back to normal. You should feel comfort that most of us feel your pain! LOL! I'm sure you'll catch up on sleep tonight!

Ok I think I got everyone who has posted today, if not I am sorry but I have been typing for like 30 min. so I am done for now!

Jaymi, where are ya girl?

TTYL

CheriBrorsen 08-09-2004 12:09 PM

G'morning & Good grannies...

Yall are some posting maniacs :)

Just checking in briefly. We started no tv today here at the B household. So the boys have been playing like mad. I love seeing their creativity. OH and I think I may just be a genius. My kids love to build forts and such. They drag out he dining room chairs and they put quilts , then begans the process of putting the quilt back up every 2-3 minutes because they are constantly going in and out and pulling it off. OH BUT TODAY I had a masterful thought. I said to myself "self, what about a fitted sheet, wouldn't that be the greatest'' and so thats what I did...got the fitted sheet on the corner of the four chairs. Voila tent and no constant fixing. I'm am awesome.

You'll all need to notice my signature line...potentially there was a 1.5 lbs loss bring me to over ten pounds total. Just make sure to post lots of accolades.

Ok...off to catch up with the thread and I'll post more later. :) So far I've been doing laundry...deep cleaning the powder room, using the floormate, wet swiffering the bathroom, dusting baseboards and intermittenly playing with my boys and reading books. Now I'm off to print out some Olympics worksheets and stuff for our unit on that. :)

Hope yall have a great and OP day. :)

Congrats Cheri!!!

You have a floormate??? Is it worth the money???

Jaymi_Dol_78 08-09-2004 12:36 PM

Hello everyone! I'm still alive! Went watching other people shop, went to the beach, the pool, and yesterday went watch the dh fish. I’m Feeling depressed this weekend and who knows why. But I'll get over it. I was only up 1 lb.. so that's not it. If it wasn't for the physical part.. feeling tired, and just wanting to sleep. I also feel like I’m starving all the time and I just feel bad. But... I'm honestly not complaining... that's how weird it is. I'm not coming to here to say “Oh Woe is me!” I'm just basically letting yaw’l know how my weekend was. I'm going to try to fix it some kind of way. I slept in late this morning... tired.... and I haven’t done much of anything. I'm cooking my shortcut shrimp fetticine..chicken helper with shrimp in it... I still need to defrost the shrimp! I need to go to the library also. So.... I need to get my butt up!! So I will talk with everyone later.. hopefully make some comments! Have a great day!!

Holy cow!! I can't even begin to catch up!

QOTD: Past, Cosby and Current, American Idol but Leigh I love golden girls too that show is a riot! We dont have a channel that plays it here.

I had to go yell at the neighbor kids today because they were hitting crab apples with golf clubs into our yard! I can't believe their parents let them do that!! I'm waiting for my big windows to be smashed. Ughhhh

Nothing planned for today my MIL told me not to clean the house at all until she came because she wants to do it lol. Isnt that wonderful!! So no cleaning otherwise she'll be bored while here. I'm waiting for her to get here to go pick out paint colors but the only thing is that she doesn't like the dark/bold colors that I do. My living room is white and forest green and she thinks we should do a neutral color but I really love the dark colors they add a little something to the room. **** if I don't like it we can always repaint.

Anyway you guys probably won't see much of me next week cuz we'll be busy and stuff.

Anyway I better get going and start the day. I'll get personal later when I can catch up.

Geri/Floormate

Yes, I love my floormate. I have white ceramic tile completely in my downstairs. I was mopping twice a day when we first moved in here. I don't think I'd buy one just for my kitchen or anything. But if you have a decent amount of tile and wood it is well worth the money. I paid $169.00 for mine at Target around Christmas. I noticed they had them for $129 the other day. Harsh bargin. :)

Off ot make the boys lunch.

Bayleysmom 08-09-2004 02:09 PM

I got my cable internet!!! It's sooooooooo fast. I love it. Just thought I would let you all know cause I am really excited. I'm OP so far today so I will try and keep it that way. How is everyone else doing? Hope you all are having a good day! Feel better Jaymi!

Happy afternoon to all . . . oh, I guess not for those on pacific time just yet

Geri- I hate doing short errands with Liam too - it's a pain to get him in and out of the car and then he gets cranky about it. I'm certain you'll be back OP very soon. Otherwise Penny will come after you, like she did me!

Mel- congrats on getting the walk in. Have a great day!

Jill- 102 degrees???? That's insane. Bayleigh (look how I spelled Bayley
 What a freudian slip  ) and Liam are almost the same age :) When is her Birthday? I know I should be able to figure that out from your ticker, but I'm not that good at math! Liam's is Oct. 21.

Cheri- :cheer: on the loss!!!! You're really doing wonderfully. Great idea for the sheet - it would have come in handy during my fort building days!

Geri/Cheri- what is a floormate?

Jaymi- Hola! Sorry you're feeling down - is TOM on the way?

Michelle- what the heck is up with parents who let their children do such annoying/destructive things??? MIL sounds wonderful! Good for her- you take a break :)

I have kind of a silly dilemma, but need help. I'm going to a friend's place tomorrow afternoon. I specifically said around 1 or 1:30 figuring that would be after lunch and I could have my weekly flexlunch at McDonalds before we arrive there. But now she says she wants to bring in Pizza or something for lunch while I'm over there. This would be okay, but I really don't want to use my flexpoints on pizza- I like using it on McDonalds because that's always what I crave most. I think if I offer to bring McDonalds, she wouldn't really be into that . . . is there a good solution?

CheriBrorsen 08-09-2004 02:48 PM

It's quiet time...

Leigh--are you really good friends with her? I mean the kind of friends where you can say ''um yeah, pizza is good and all, but no thanks i'm having McD's before I come over'' LOL Probably not or you would have done that and not ask for advise, huh? Ok this is what I would do, if I really wanted my McD's and really with you just getting back on points if you don't get that McD's it could lead to sabatoge KWIM? So it's important that we bypass the pizza and get the golden arches :mcd: I'd say that I had a few errands to run and stops to make and that I'd just pick something up while I was out and about and then head on over. Offer to grab her something too etc, but just put it out there that you want to stop while your out and about. If you said that to me, that would let me know you weren't interested in pizza but you were still be very tactful. :)

The floormate is made by Hoover. It is really quite nifty. It will suck up liquid spills. It wil vaccum up tile or wood floors. Then it has a floor cleaning option too. (think carpet shampooer) It has rotating bristles that scrub the floor while shooting out a cleaning solution ...then it sucks up the water and your floor it clean. :) You can see it here... http://www.hoover.com/db/xq/asp.hvrP.../SpinScrub.htm

Penny--sorry I missed you last night. I gave you a yell, and then my puter did some goofy lock up so I just shut it off. :)

Michelle--I love bold colors too. In GA our bedroom was RED. The boys bathroom was YELLOW and BLUE. And their bedroom was mustard witht he ceiling painted sky blue and I handpainted clouds and had the constellations up there too. :) You MIL might have just had a heart attack. It's good that she wants to help out...enjoy it.

Ok...I know there are many more of you...and I love you all...lol, I just can't remember you all to get personal. I will do it by the end of the day. Gotta exercise in just a few while the boys are down for quiet time. :)

Bayleysmom 08-09-2004 03:18 PM

Leigh I noticed that you spelled Bayley like Bayleigh last night! I though it was pretty funny and then it got me thinking "why didn't I really spell it like that?!" since that is how my mom's name is spelled that would have been kind of cool. I had to laugh though! Penny was apologizing for spelling is Bailey and I told her what you had done so we had a good laugh. Also if you look real close at the beginning of my signature you should be able to find what you are looking for! LOL! Can we say early vision loss? Just Kidding!

Cheri sounds like you are getting things done today. Good for you! That floormate sounds cool!

Ok well I am thoroughly enjoying my new high speed internet too much and should get off but don't really want to. I have a new AIM screen name for those of you that use it. It's Bayleysmom17 so add me if you want! TTYL

Loveliam 08-09-2004 03:30 PM

Jill- it's funny because in my mind I know how you spell Bayley, but when I get to the "Ley/Leigh" sound, my fingers just take over on their own I guess! I'm glad you're enjoying high speed -I don't know how I survived without it!

Cheri- yeah, that's a good idea. I may tell her it's related to my diet and I want to eat lunch earlier because I skip breakfast to save up points (also because I'm not hungry until around 11am). Hopefully she'll understand. Like I said, I wish I could tell her I'll just bring McDonald's, but she has more "gourmet" taste

I attempted to straighten up, but then Liamkept getting into stuff, so I'll do that later maybe. Also, I'm hoping my the ebay stuff I won arrives today.

watkinsguru 08-09-2004 03:32 PM

How is everyone this afternoon? I haven't done much since my first loads of laundry. Still have some waiting on me. I was doing good until Andrew wanted me to hold him because he's not feeling well and then all my energy drained.
We had lunch and I'm going to be getting dinner started soon and clean the kitchen. I can do more laundry then. Ally and Andrew are sleeping, Alisa is next door playing with a friend, so I can either keep working on my school stuff or try to take a nap................. the latter sounds good to me.
My mom is picking up the rest of my school books today so I think we are starting next week. So I've got alot to get done before then. I need to reorder some of Andrew's perscription for his breathing machine because he is sounding bad today.
Well, I'm off for a bit.

spryng 08-09-2004 04:24 PM

Hello! Boy you have been busy! I'm a whole thread behind already and I'm sure a new one will begin here shortly.

Dh just left out. I'm glad he got to come home. He had alot to get off his chest but he is lots better now. PLus he is getting a new truck! (company truck) but he stayed a little longer today because we called the plumbers out to fix our drains and I didn't want to be here alone when they got here. So he was a sweet hubby and stayed, lol. Turns out it was a plastic cup in there!! And lots of hair.. which I am sure was mine because I shed like a dog sometimes, lol. But I can't control what goes down the tub drain. But no more over flow or poop in the tub so I'm thrilled! LOL

Well.. I am doing my flylady routines late today, my house is still clean but I wanted to get in 15 in of deep cleaning and such so I'm off here for now. I will try to go back through this thread though and see what I missed. TTYL!

Bayleysmom 08-09-2004 04:33 PM

Hey Spryng, I am doing flylady today too and my house is soooooooo clean, I almost don't know what to do with myself. I mean it's not totally clean and there are definitly things that could be done but it seems the things that are always messy are clean so I feel like I got a lot done. Did you scrub your counters this morning? LOL!
Who does your dh drive for? That was sweet of him to stay until the plumbers came, I'm glad everything got fixed! Ok off to clean bathrooms until baby wakes up! See ya!

Loveliam 08-09-2004 04:45 PM
