|
hey ladies:
quick updates before bed. had a great day with food and exercise. for exercise i did my leslie sansone walk away the pounds 4mile challenge in the morning and then in the evening we went to the park and i walked 2.5 miles so im pooped.... cristi- flash floods??? when we went to the park my husband took the two oldest kids down to the other side to fish only to realize that there was only about 6" of water in the river so he took them back up to play on the equipment while i strolled the baby. susan-- oh i am so happy for you 144.5 that is so wonderful.... that is only 4.5 pounds heavier than my goal... you lucky ducky! lol angie-- lack of sleep can really throw the body out of wack... i hope you sweet dreams soon. jana--(((hugs))) bless your heart. marti--- good luck with mama cat on wednesday. sorry your husband has to go away. do you know for how long??? ill be thinking of you. well, guess this is all for now, im going to bed. whatever time this registers as being posted, its an hour later here. melt those pounds, tj |
ok- I am going to bed.
Look forward to hearing about you and James going to the pool and having fun, Heather!! btw- saw your picture, you are very pretty!! TJ- you walked 7. 5 miles?????? wow,I would be pooped as well. There was an article in the paper today about wearing ped???? forgot the spelling, where it tracks how much you walk in a day.........anyway, one lady walked to and from work- 10 mile round trip thing. 3-4 miles is more my speed.......if I ever get around to it......been soooooo lazy. Jana- thinking of watermelon and thinking of you! Have enough time to walk to the store and grab a seedless wadder melon.......what does WW point it at?? It isn't a bad thing is it?? I think Les will be like a distant friend.....lol.I think he is a nice man but could never see us together.I just kind of want a man that treats me great right from the get go........don't like "wishy washy , don't know what I want, waaaaah, waaaaah kind of guys.".......lol. Though I will always make room for laughter. RK- went to your church tonight and had a wonderful turkey dinner! The people there who prepared it and served it were sooooooo kind and friendly. K- watermelon calls. I talked with Mike and heard Gaby wimpering in the background, obviously tired. Annoyed me some and told him to "get her to bed!!!!" geesh....if I wasn't on call I would run over there and get her. So , he said he would get her to bed...........want her back now. Rachel and Becky are doing an overnight with all the girls, enjoyed spending the day with them. Now I am going to read and eat watermelon. Pretty exciting, eh??? lol......... take care!!! |
Good Morning Ladies:
well, slept like a log last night. i hope this will pay off when i weigh in on thursday!!! if I stay the same or gain (even though the whole 1# of muscle takes up less space than 1# of fat thing) i dont care i want the scale to say less as a reward for this hard work. i kept telling myself during the park walk..."keep going the jaded ladies are watching" lol it worked!!! as for a pedometer, i have one i bought at wal*mart for $8.00 it works ok and then i have several from the go active meals from mcdonalds that count your steps only its ok if you wear in on your belly button its more accurate. when i go to the park i know that one lap is 1/2 mile because there is a sign there that tells me lol. i also go to a walking trail that they put up signs every mile so you know how far out you are. it used to be a railway and they took out the tracks, paved it and call it the "rails to trails walking/biking trail. its pretty cool right now they have 30 consecutive miles done i've did this end of it (about 8 miles) and of did the other end (about 10 miles) when i rode a bike. it goes way back into the country and is gorgeous. i am afraid to go alone though because it can become isolated. ya know. well, i hope everyone has a good day. ill try to check in again tonight. tj |
Morning girls--
I don't have time to post....I almost didn't make it here this morning.....going to spend the entire day with my absolute best friend!!! Just wanted to say good morning and will try to find time later on for individuals!! Marti |
Good Morning Ladies,
Heather - yay for you deciding to go swimming after all. I know that when I go, I am so worried about my own blimpy body that I don't pay a lot of attention to others. And you aren't that big! TJ - wow, you're really doing great with the food and exercise! Glad you had fun at the park with your family. Susan - WW says 1 cup of watermelon is 1 point. But I feel that the diuretic properties in it should make it less, lol. Do you think that once Mike gets used to Gaby's schedule, he'll do better? Marti - hope you have a great time with your sweetie today! Hi to all the other JLs! Well, it is down right cold here in Indiana, lol. It was 56 when we left for church this morning... and rainy, too. But I still have the windows up. Saving $$ on the a/c bill, lol. Sunday dinner is in the oven, and life is good! Hope all you JLs are having a great day! BBL, |
Okay, not sure how I missed most of Page 4 on Chit Chat #61??? I guess my mind has been elsewhere. Anyway...don't really have time to post, (especially since I missed a whole page :dizzy: ) but wanted to say Hi. I will try to catch up later.
Do want to say Susan, I am getting some photos in the (snail) mail tomorrow for ya-I didn't forget, just got a little sidetracked but thank you for reminding me! I also see, and understand now about Les. Nothing like having a good friend to chit chat and laugh with, and who knows, maybe it will turn into something. See you ladies later. |
I can hardly keep up with all the posts. I'm lucky to get in here once a day. I suppose if I got up a little earlier in the morning, I would have time for a whole lot more! I'm such a lazy butt sometimes!
Last night we went out to dinner at a place called the Mongolian Grill. I have to say, I was pleasantly suprised. It is sort of like a buffet, you get a big bowl, pick out whatever veggies you want, choose your meat, and your own sauce, and then they stir fry it in front of you. That can turn out to be a really healthy meal. And for 8.50 for the large bowl, I can easily get 2 meals out of it! I may go back again this week! Jana - Congrats on another loss! You are amazing! I'm hoping that the certification involves a raise, but probably not much. I'm not due for my yearly eval until Jan. Maybe I could have it done by then. I've found a couple of websites that I need to research more. Marti - Good luck with your mama cat on Wed. I hope yours turns out less eventful than mine! TJ - Your walking sounds wonderful. I have a pedometer too. I count steps instead of miles with it. My goal is always to have over 8000 without any formal walking, just in my daily routine. Then any exercise that I do is better than that. Susan - just be careful with Les. I agree, not much for the wishy washy type. Make up your mind already. Heather - Good for you for going swimming! Life is too short to worry what everyone else things. You are about my weight. How tall are you? My goal is to be 140-142 by Labor Day! Wanna race?! Does anyone else follow pro football? In case you didn't know, I follow the Miami Dolphins. Bad news today. Ricky Williams, their running back, announced he is retiring. He is such a flake. No good reason. He's not old. But anyway, it makes for the beginning of a terrible season. Well, I have to get busy out in the yard, mowing, trimming, weeds, etc. It's already 1pm! Jen |
Ok im going to try to go swimming today so hopefully i can do it... I will post to u guys about how it went...
Dolpin- i am 5'2'' ok lets race hehe... how tall r u ??? Ok I'll go for 140-142 too for labor day... I remember ricky williams he is from texas and played with UT i never liked him he is a good player but not a very nice person.... TJ- wow on the walking marti- hope ur kitty app goes well....heather :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: |
Good Afternoon,
1 point for one cup of watermelon??? How many points can you have in a day?? Figure the watermelon was 6 cups or so......... Last night I bought another small one and gobbled that up before bedtime.Woke up twice in the night about to burst my side........what a pain. Thanks for the pictures Cristi :) So, I escaped being a "mom' for a second and came to the library. Took the girls to church and afterward to B & J- went to my place and waited for Gabrielle. SOOOOOOOO good to see her and snuggle. I suppose Mike just needs to get educated and learn through trial and error. If not I will be yelling at him a lot.......lol Poor Guy....... He had a tough visit with his older daughter (11 years old)She was in a play and he was taking her back and forth to that - after the first showing the ex showed up and took her home for dinner. Last night she came over to give her ballons for a grand proformance at Grandpa's......at 11pm at night, after every one was in bed. Mike told her he didn't like that- they don't get along as it is but he felt she was butting into his time. This morning the daughter was upset with the conversation between daddy and mommy - didn't want to go to church and Mike said...........ok do you want to go home??? Where she said ya.....so, she did......lol 11 year old is kind of jealous of Gaby as well...........and WELCOME to parenthood , Mike!!lol Anyway, he went home discouraged. Hope the swimming works out Heather! Your yard work sounds wonderful Jen....miss working in the yard. Is your best friend James, Marti?? Just a guess........lol.......you have a sweet love story. better get back before the kiddies send out the posse. Very nice on call weekend though, only 2 calls for locl outs. ttfn :) |
sounds like everybody is doing great!!!!
heres the run down of my day: I went outside and staked my tomatoes. I have 24 maters on 6 vines. I cannot wait for them to get ripe. Yummy!!! I didn't get to exercise today. Too busy getting my husband packed up to go back to work for the week. Thats ok though I'm gonna get up early in the morning before the kids get up and exercise..... had a real good day with food. One comment: Watermelon, I luv it and one summer I lived on nothing but raw fruits and veggies eating all I wanted and because they are a negative calorie food, I lost 50#!!! Enjoy! Well, guess this is all for tonight. I'll check in tomorrow. tj |
ok we went to the pool but it cost money and we didn't have any and it started raining as soon as we got there so oh well well try again when we get some money which should be friday.... we did go to the juccuzzi and sauna i like thoughs no one ever goes in that room hehe.....tj u should make some salsa with those tomatoes home grown tomatoes are the best for salsa course they are also the best no matter what...
heather :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: |
Evening ladies--
So much chit chatting going on! I only have a moment though...been off and on the computer part of the day to try and catch up only to get back off to do some things around the house. Went up to Eugene today with James...did some window shopping and then went and had lunch. Was a nice afternoon. James is waiting until tomorrow morning to leave for Portland so that's nice. Since there is so much talking today and I have been on the computer for only a few mins. I will do my individuals tomorrow morning.....don't want to you think I'm neglecting you girls. Sounds like everyone is having a great weekend. Take Care Ladies Marti |
Hello Ladies,
mmmmm tomotoes...I have half a box on my table and I will either be eating alot or need to bring to work to give away. I made my salsa couple of weeks ago... Susan, life is rough when your a parent and don't have all the skills,,,at least he knows that. I have not eaten watermelon in years,,,don't like the smell of any melons...*Shudder actually feel yucky I did too much this weekend and feel exhausted. I had about 8 hours of sleep the whole weekend. Ive been working on the case about 30 hours in the last 3 days. And I am now going to bed. night all Angie |
Ok, I am at work and can now post again
well, I had a novel typed out and the computer erased it, very frustrating. grrrrrr. Well my computer at home is soooo slow that it would take me 1 hour to post anything on here, so I will probably not post fridays, saturdays and be back sunday night. Unless I am really bored and want to wait hours to get on here. ;-)
Well, friday and saturday it was sooo hot where I live. It got to 104 on friday, so my sweetie said no more miserable bring lying in pools of our out sweet, so on Saturday we head down to the coast. The town of florence Oregon is about 1 hour 15 minutes away and it was 30 degrees coller and it felt soooo good. I felt really bad leaving my poor babies to cook in the heat. I wished we had gotten their harnesses and brought them with us, maybe next time. We brought a picnic lunch and ate on the beach. It wasn't too windy and the sun peeked out every once and awhile. If anyone has ever been to the Oregon coast you would now that the water is not for swimming it is so cold and it is rarley sunny there. Before we went to the beach however, my boyfriend wanted to stop at the new cheesy Casino they built there. I hate gambling mysefl since I don't make a cent extra to spend on fun stuff. But, my sweetie loves Black Jack, so I said ok for a little bit. He gave me three dollars to go to the penny machines and off he went to black Jack. the funny thing is that as much as i hate gambling I have the magic touch or something on the penny machines. Lst time we went I won 110.00 with 1 dollar on them. Well, my sweetie just wanted to win enough to get a nicer seafood dinner than fast food. Well I won 20.00 on 1.00 on the penny machines, but gamble some of it away before I said STOP SHANNA to bring it down to 15.00. Then my boyfriend won 10.00 on Black Jack , he was up to 40, but blew some of it away. He probably would have gambled it all had I not come over at that time with my winnings. So we had enough for something good to eat. We headed down to Old town Florence where they have cute little shops, eateries and the docks. We had such fun looking and laughing like we hadn't in a long time. We decided to eat at a place called the firehouse which had a good sounding special. I totally loaded up on the fat and calories, but sometimes you just have to splurge on a special occasion. I had their deluxe famous Clam chowder. It had shrimp, crab and parmesan and swiss cheese on it with parmesan and garlic bread on the side. Oh I felt so fat and naughty and so stuffed, but it was soooo heavenly. SO back to the diet stuff today. Me and my sweetie went home and beached ourselves on the couch. We just love seafood. Yummy. We took so good pictures that I hope to be able to send to Walmart for developing for scrapbook time. I have a digital camera that he gave me for my birthday, but I haven't been able to afford a memory card yet, which makes developing the pictures easier. Someday, anywho I had a great time, just wish it would cool down here, it is hard to sleep in the heat of the day on the days that i work. Ok, I have written another novel. Susan: You have me hungry for Watermelon now. Darn you!!!!! I love it, but I have to be careful what time of day I eat it since it really makes a person go to the bathroom alot. They don't call it "Water" Melon for nothing. I just love it though. My boyfriend calls me weird since i like to eat it with salt sprinkled on top. I grew up doing that and I think it makes the watermelon taste sweeter. Anywho, thanks to you missy I have to go get a watermelon to sooth my cravings. I hope your happy. :D Jana: I need some of your weight loss energy. You are amazing and worthy of envy from any and all. I can only hope to have your strength and perserverance to fight my weight off . I need to find something that will make me stop whining about my fat butt and get off it to do something about it. Oh the horror of it all. 56 degrees???? Can I move over to your house for the summer???? I hate warm weather. Anything over 80 degrees make me cranky and not want to do anything. ugghh, I am a true Oregonian. I whine when it rains to much, but whine when it gets too hot. :D Well to all the over Jaded Ladies I hope all is well, I will save more individuals to another time since I have already clogged up the post with my novel here. So to Cristi ( got your card, thank you), all the newbies that i have yet to learn all your names , angie, katie, kayecee ( that picture is still missing  ) and Dolphin, Scorchin, etc, that I don't know the real names to yet, hope your weekend went off without a hitch and the following work week goes off the same. Boy are my fingers tired after all this typing, ;) :cb: :hat:  :grouphug: :balloons: :blah: :thanks: |
this server lost my huge post AGAIN, so I am going to calm down before I lose it and post tomorrow. GRRRRR I work so hard on it too, it was huge, trust me. WAAAAAAAA
|
Oh, now it posts it, wow, That was amazing that it lost it, but found it YAAAAHHHHHH, my crying can stop now, what a relief. I am going to do a happy dance now!!!!!!!!!
|
Me again, hee hee, I just read my post and I am sooo embarrassed, so I had to come on one more time and apologize for all my spelling errors and such. I wrote it in between answering members questions and didn't have a chance to check it before I posted it. I am really not that ignorant.
Also, I am going to play dumb for the moment and could someone please tell me what *BUMP* means. I read it on a lot of posts and curiosity has gotten the better of me and I am finally asking. Ok, I promise no more post until tonight after getting to work. :-) hee hee |
good morning ladies :coffee:
squeak mouse- i am going to get a tablet and write down everyones sign on name and their real name as i figure them out cause i cannot remember from one day to the next and its frusturating me. anyway, i loved reading your large post it made my morning. what fun!!! we actually have a couple of things in common so i thought i would point it out, your birthday is 5-21-76 and mine is 5-11-77 you live in oregon and i found my dads biological family in wa and ca (so you are sandwiched between the williamsons lol :^: ) my dad was born in wa. and im all the way over here in WV. i hate snow we get as much as 36" here at a time, i wont drive in it and complain about it the entire time. now that its hot :( ive been complaining about that too. this morning i got up before the kids and did taebo basic with billy blanks and then did denise austins power yoga and then took a shower and sat down on my big but to read the posts. i just love this site and love everyone here. its so great!!!! :D thanks to everyone who participates and supports one another. I dont think i would have made it this long without your support (even though it hasn't even been a week  ) well, ive blabbered long enough. this is the first time ive experimented with the happy faces so if it looks wacky, sorry and if it looks great, thanks :) signing off for now and will try to get back tonight. tj |

Good morning ladies,
Jen - well, this course would almost guarantee a raise in January, not that you wouldn't already get one. Maybe it will be a bigger one, though. Like the idea of the buffet you went to! Everything cooked up nice and fresh. Good price, too. Heather - better luck Friday with the pool. I make my own salsa, too. I don't think it tastes a whole lot better than the bought kind, but I know it doesn't have all the additives in it. Susan - let's see... at your weight, your WW points is 20 a day, plus 35 flex points a week to use as you see fit. I add 3 a day to mine, and forget the rest. Usually :o . Once in awhile, like after I've been drinking, lol, I dip into the rest of them. TJ - way to go on the exercise! And you did a good job with the smilies. Marti - glad you had a good time with James. Is Eugene very far from Portland? I've been seeing on the weather channel about the unusual heat there. Angie - hope you get some rest! And I can hardly wait to hear all about the case you're working. Maybe you could start writing like Janet Evonovich or Sue Grafton, and make a bazillion bucks! Shanna - good to see you!!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun with your BF this weekend. The picnic on the beach especially sounds like fun. Yep, it is cool in Indiana now, but last week it was in the high 90's with a heat index of about 110. Yikes! Hi to the other JLs  I saw on TV that Wendy's now has mandarin orange slices as a choice instead of french fries. I've been getting the apples at McD's... and used to take my own orange, if you remember. I'm not real crazy about either place, but the DGDs are, lol, and they don't even know caramel sauce comes with the apples, lol. Gotta get my kitchen mopped today and do some laundry. BBL, |
Good Morning
Hello ladies... let me just start by saying that I missed you this weekend, I kind of have gotten used to coming in here every day.
I spent the whole weekend going to Daniel (my son) activities. He had two birthdays on Saturday.. Which means buyng two presents... one at 10:30am at Chuck e Cheese and the other at 2:00 at Solid Rock (climbing)... then I had some friends that turned out to be 9 invited for dinner... they all arrived one after the other around 6pm and left my house at 4:00am ... I could not belive it when I saw how late it was The worst part was that, my husband was not home this weekend... I had to do everything by myself inluding throwing away three full garbage bags. Marty: I understand you completely... my husband works in politics and in this time before the elections there are activities around the clock including the weekends, so it is more the time he spents out of our apartment than in. I miss him terribly and especially I miss the help he provides around the house.., It is as if I were alone with Daniel for the majority of the time. On Sunday I went to a friends house for a bbq and the pool. My friend has two sons close to Daniel's age and they had a blast. I of course did not go into the pool! Just watch them have all the fun. HEATHER: We have to stop being so selfconcious and start living and having FUN. As to my diet, this weekend was disastrous!!!!!!!! I ate with some friends friday night and DID NOT ORDER THE SALAD. Then on saturday I went to two birthdays and ate cake twice... and to finish it up I had people for dinner ... so that leaves Sunday where I ate BBQ ribs at my friends house.... HOW PATHETIC! Well, I started again today... I haven't wanted to get even close to a weight... I'll wait for my next weight in and then cry! Jana: Remember that during diffult times we are never alone, for God is carrying us. Let Him comfort you. TJ: I wish I could wake up and actually follow throug on two excercise tapes... This week I have to buy Daniel all his school stuff, because school starts here in AUGUST 10... the kids finish middle May. That means approx. $400 in books, plus $200 in materials and of course I have to pay the first weeks tuition by AUG 5 thats another $350.00 and I am not even going to think about his soccer team and boys scouts. And lets not forget the uniform, shoes, gym uniform etc. HELP Well, I have to admit that I actually had a good time this weekend! Saludos, Jo |
To all JLs - if any of you have anything private to say to me, please don't send an email because I hardly ever check it. Send a PM insted. PMs here are private, and although the administrators can tell who sent one to who, and how often, they can't see what you write. (nor do they care, I'm sure, lol)
Now that I almost missed out on a very, very important one, I will try to check my email more often, but still, use PMs, okay? |
Good morning, JLs
Weigh in day for RK and I'm down 2....yippee. It's nice to change the sig in the RIGHT direction....... I've had fun catching up on the threads from the weekend - such a great bunch of ladies. I'm inspired by you gals who are getting up early to do tapes. I set up a tv/vcr w/all my workout tapes in the playroom, but has been hard to get up early enough. I am managing to get some walks in, so I'm feeling fairly active. I live in a neighborhood with lots of hills, so I get a good workout on my walks. We spent much of the weekend getting started on the kids' fort, which is beginning to be known as "the guest house", 'cause it's looking rather large. Hey, Marti can stay there when she comes up to visit, lol. There will be more building on Wed and Fri this week, so hopefully we can get most of it done. After all that, a pipe burst in our wall, so now all our water is turned off until the plumber gets here, which is supposed to be in the next hour or two. Two young kids and only one bath, which we can't use, is not my idea of a good time. Toddler's in diapers, so that's ok, and DS can water the bushes. I just won't feed anybody fiber for the next couple of hours  evil mommy I have a dilemma here..... I have two good friends. 20 year friendships with both. They had an eight year, very turbulent marriage, in the late 80s. They been divorced for 10+ years, and I have been able to maintain friendships with both, They've been really good about not putting me in the middle of stuff. Then again it's been relatively easy as they have lived a great distance apart. Now the XW has moved back to town and unbeknownst to XH, is living almost in his neighorhood. Normally I could easily avoid the whole dilemma of whether to tell him that the X is back in town as we never discuss her. He's remarried and has a baby. However, she has given me a family heirloom to return to him, so I plan to return it, but also think I should tell him the circumstances. I think. I keep going back and forth.... there's a chance they could bump into each other, so a head's up could be appreciated...then again, why ruin his day and possibly freak out his current wife.. 'course she's in for a freak out at some point if they do run into the X..... Why is life such a soap opera!? What Would a JL Do? New bumper sticker :) I'll try to get back to do individuals later, right now I need to get the bad news from the plumber....did I mention my house is 65 years old? Yikes - We might just move in to the guest house..... Have a great day, ladies RK |
Good morning ladies--
Got up early....had a tough time sleeping so I really had to pull myself out of bed, but I wanted to be sure to be up before James leaves.....then to find out that he won't have to leave until tonight! Yes everyone, I enjoy my time with my husband. We have an "unusual" relationship as some friends would put it. We met while working, then worked together as a couple for a year at the job, then we moved on to Sony and worked together for almost 4 yrs. We have been together everyday for the last 5yrs until Sony quit and he had to find a different job. We've enjoyed every minute together and have yet to tire of each other. (We do, do our own thing every now and then so it's not like we're joined at the hip!) But we have a bond that I have never experienced before and I guess I tend to get over weepy when I know he'll be gone for days at a time. ok...enough of my life story. Shanna--You and BF did what I wanted to do this weekend! How jealous I am that you got to go. But I did get to roam around with James so I'm not really complaining. (or am I? ) Did you stop at the old time photo's?? That would have been fun! Glad you had long post....enjoyed reading it. I'm back into wanting to do scrapbooking...found this really cool trick to do and I tried it and it works!! Gotta share that with you soon! Jen--James and I went to a mongolian grill yesterday afternoon for lunch. It is a very good place to eat, you get to choose what you want before they grill it and there are so many veggies to choose from that it can be very healthy. I don't eat much of the rice and I never grab any of the noodles...just chicken and veggies and I'm satisfied......how anyone can go a second round is beyond me! Heather--We are very similar in height and weight! I'm 5'1" and weigh 146 at the moment...but let me tell you, I've been at 150 for what seems like FOREVER and just seeing it go down now just thrills me. Maybe I will do the same goal as you and Jen for Labor day! Susan--Is James my best friend? Why of coarse!! I've never had a best friend as him in my life!! I can tell him everything that I would never breath to another soul. Things that I eventually had to share with him to bring back my sanity!! So yes he is. Tj--I'm not sure if you posted in the bio thread, but how many kids do you have? You are certainly doing a fantastic job on all the exercising you are doing!! Give me some of your energy so I can do mine!! Jana--Eugene is about 20 or so miles from my house and Portland is about 2 1/2 hours from my house. So there is a distance. We are having crazy weather lately!! I'm with Shanna, I gripe about the rain and I gripe about the heat. There is no pleasing me I guess! Jo--Are your kids in private school? About your weekend....don't worry....that time is over and it's now time to get back on track. We all tend to stray...just to enjoy ourselves. So don't worry about it. You'll do good I'm sure! Angie--Send those tomotoes my way!! The tomatoes in my grandpa's garden aren't ready yet and I just love making salsa!! It's good on everything!! So I'll be waiting for that package any day now! :D RK--I had to call my landlord this morning to come and fix a leak...he told me that he's sending a plumber out this morning. Is it Oregonians leak week?? Sorry to hear about the problems with your friends. I wouldn't want to be the middle person, that would be too stressful for me. So if it get's too stressful for you, you need to tell the both of them that you can't do it. You have your own life to worry about! Cristi--Hi to you, I hope your not getting rained out or flash floods your way!! That woudl be awful!! Hello to everyone else I may have missed!! The post have been long and I tried to get everyone. Forgive me if I missed you! Well I better get off here since I've posted a long long......post this morning. James want's breakfast and I do to.....time to put those 4lbs. back on!! Take Care Marti |
ok, here i am having a meltdown. was in the middle of a roll of crackers and cheese when" i said what the heck are you doing tj?" so i gave the crackers to my 4yr old and came here to unload. You see my daughter has bipolar and other med problems, anyway, she is having cycles from _____ today!!!! i am about to lose it! ok, im better. LOL
while im here, ill post some stuff- heather-as for taebo, i probably look funny too but being up prior to my kids and with my husband out of state, noone sees me but my cat, shaggy. because im new, i am unaware of your kidney thing. Can i be filled in? the only reason i am curious is that my daughter has kidney reflux she almost lost her 3 times in 9 mos when she was 4 now she takes an antibotic everyday all year long. i looked in your public bio, is that you in the picture on the right? if so you are gorgeous! if not, whoever it is, is gorgeous! I have never made salsa, but id have a recipe from an old workbasket mag called refrigerator spagetti sauce. I need to find that because it looks like it would be good. as for watermelon, i put salt on mine too! glad im not the only one. RK- good for you on the 2# loss. yay!!! hope your plumbing problems get straight soon. as for the 2 friends dilema, your in a sticky situation and im not sure what i would do. if i was the X that moved back into town i would want my X to be prepared for my arrival. and if my X was moving here, i would want to be prepared. the X that is moving back, have you asked her if you can tell him? that way there would be no surprises when the two finally cross paths. Marti- yes, i have filled out my bio on the thread. (think i did it today or maybe yesterday) anyway, i have 3 kids- girl 9, boy 4, and boy 20 mos. Jo- as for the splurge this weekend, its a history lesson, you cant bring it back so there is no need on dwelling on it. Good luck this week you will be in my thoughts. Sorry that i boucned around alot on subjects i am so out of it right now that i cant even keep my thoughts straight. Hopefully, ill be better tonight. tj |
Well....I called the my landlord this morning and have yet to see the plumber!!! It's almost 2:30 and we've turned off the water around 9:00!! Very frustrating.
Just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing. I'll try to check back later. |
Marti- that would be great if u joined in with me and jen .....
tj- I was born with deformed kidneys when i was 4 i had recontructive surgery on them, however it didn't work and so every since then i had been in renal failure i was able to be off of dailysis until i was 19 then on halloween on last year i had dialysis surgery ( they put a tube into a artiery in my neck and chest that was a big pain the doctor didn't put it in right and i couldn't move my neck and the long tube in my chest hurt badly anyways, was getting off subject). I was very lucky I had a man from my church donate his kidney)to me so i wasn't on dialysis but for 5 months (later i find out the tube in my neck and chest were only suppose to be in there for 2 to 3 months not 5 i could have been in really troublewe had no matching anything but so far i haven't had to many promlems with it only right after transplant i had early rejection.I had my transplant on jan 22, 04 of this year.. sorry if this doesn't make sense hubby is trying to tell me how to type lol.... ok now i must go sorry if doesn't make sense will try to explain better if it doesn't .... heather |
wow, I want some cheese and crackers!!! Sounds so good...
Sorry you are having a stressful day - TJ but at least you came to JL to talk it out. Hope it was some help and offered some relief? :) What state do you live in Jo?? I want to move there if school is starting so soon!! Persona;;y I think summer is waaaay too long. Kids are bored now to be busy and back with friends. Rachel wants to know when she can go school shopping........told her when I get $$$- geez, so expensive to send them back to school. Your weekend sounds great Shanna!! Never been to Florence myself, hear it is beautiful down there. Course the whole Oregon coast is.....I put salt on watermelon too, .....taste even better! Enjoyed reading your post :) Teasing Marti. I KNOW James is your best friend......hard to miss that you kind of like him....lol. Just when you wrote that you were spending the day with your best friend and didn't give a name.....just taking an obvious guess.Get your wadder fixed!!! Speaking as a landlord myself it isn't a true emergency (do we have flooding?? lol) that you have no wadder is not our fault. .....lol. Teasing......had a leaky laundry pipe over the weekend and the water had gone down 2 floors causing a huge water bubble in the bottom unit. Called my super and she said " pop the bubble, release the wadder and tell the 3rd floor resident not to use do any laundry til maintenance gets out Monday"....anyway, hope someone fixes it soon!! YAY!!!! RK on 2 pounds down!!! Your fort things sounds fun......personally , I wouldn't return anything for EW unless she knows you are going to tell EH that she has moved back in the neighborhood. Just basically tell him - hate secrets. They should all be adults to handle the situation. You want him to find out when they are both picking out wadder melons at Freddies?? lol...... Best get!! ttfn |
Well the leak is like someone turned the water faucet on full blast underneath the house. So if we were to keep the water on...I think there would be a mess down there! James said that one of the pipes busted.
Must go...still waiting for at least a call!! :dizzy: |
a pool for Jhanai, perhapes?? Course it would be nice to have a slide with this pool.......and perhapes a container type thingie to hold all that gushing wadder.....
Source of water turn off on that house?? Need to turn your wadder off Marti......anyway,can I send my bill now?? lol...... teasing.....having a good day. My cold sore is almost gone......yay..... ttfn :) |
well, the day has gotten better! i made all three kids lay down for a nap, upon awakening they seemed better, even my daughter. :D
anyway, because of my binge, which is a history lesson and i am not going to dwell on it, i skipped dinner just going to consume h2o to flush out the :ink: sodium. tom the boys will be in preschool during the day and that will help with the stress. the type of preschool they are in runs all summer and then ends in feb. :?: dont know what ill do then. of course daughter will be in school from aug - june and then 4 yr old will go to regular sch next fall. anyway, im sure it will be fine. ive been trying to get myself together so i can start selling my crocheted items on ebay. get some extra $$$$ for daughters meds. thanks for filling me in on the kidney thing now i understand why the exercises would hurt. bless your heart. and bless the guy that donated you the kidney that is awesome. well, guess ill go, ill try to check in, in the morning before the behavior management gets here. trying to melt, tj |
Finally!! The plumber boys are here. Now, why couldn't they send a young handsome man to do the job?? Just teasing.....
I got another call for the OML job. They want me to fill another questionaire which is the next process to get the job. I'm excited. Don't know why since I've gotten used to the idea that my thighs are merging into one. But hey....maybe it's time to get up and seperate the two! :D Ok...I'm being hollered at...and the dogs won't shut up....better get going. |
I am craving something sweet like it's nobodies business. For some reason, sometimes after I eat a meal, I feel like I need some sugar. But not just a little, it usually turns into a full-on binge. I'm munching on some caramel corn rice cakes, but it's just not enough. Good thing I don't have any junk here!
Work was busy, but nice. The boss is gone. She'll be back Wed. I'll be gone Friday to an all day seminar. Only 2 days of her this week! Almost feels like a vacation! TJ - glad the nap worked for your kids. Maybe you should make me take a nap. I'm feeling awfully tired today! Cheese and crackers sounds great. Glad I don't have any cheese here too! Heather - I'm 5'9", give or take. Guess I've got a few on you! Wow, you have been through alot this year. I'm already proud of you! Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. Last week I was 153. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Marti - Hop on the Labor Day Race with us. First one to 140 wins! How is the water doing? I would go nuts. It's like the day I had an electrician out to replace the panel in the basement, and all day I kept trying to turn stuff on. It's amazing how dependent we are on the conveniences! RK- CONGRATS on your 2 lbs! I'm hoping for something similar. I would tell you to do the opposite of what Angie said. I wouldn't return anything either, but I wouldn't say anything about the other being in town. I'd stay out of their business and remain neutral. Jana - I'm glad that the fastfood places are starting to get a little healthier, in some respects. At least it's a start. Jo - Like TJ said, the overeating is just a lesson, nothing more. Glad you had a good time though. Well, my cats are already lining up and waiting for their treats. I give them whisker lickins at 9pm. They are pushing it! It's only 7:30! Guess they'll be waiting awhile. And amazingly enough, my sweet craving passed! Thanks gals! Jen |
Hi;ladies,
My computer is sick and going "click, click, click" like it does when it has a virus, only I have Nortons! And it says No Operating System Found!! :yikes: Anyway, I am using the computer from the dark ages in Katies room so this must be brief. I peron could break their leg or neck in here. We took the twins to the fair, and had so much fun! I stayed op having only a hamburger and a hand full of cotton candy. I took pictures til my batteries went dead, and it was all good! See you tomorrow! |
Hey everyone ...back to give an update and try to do some individuals..
Thanks for all the advice about my friends, the "X"s. The heirloom in question is an article the XH's late mother wrote that was nominated for Pulitzer. Irreplacable, but only relevant to this conversation in that I felt it important to try to aid in its return. These two really have been good over the years about keeping me out of their strife. I also told XW that when I return it to XH that I would tell him she was back in town, but would not give out any other details. Honestly, I didn't think he'd want any details. So he calls me today and I tell him I have the article, which was found while XW was moving. "moving? where's she moving" then I proceed to get grilled...it was like twenty questions..all the while he's on a cell in his car with his current wife sitting right next to him...I was appalled. But I stuck to my word, I only gave out the most general info and told him the truth, that I was telling him only because if it were me and it was my X we were talking about, I'd want to know. Like Susan said, don't want to bump into them at Freddie's you know. So, hey, it's out there, I felt real uncomfortable, but it's done. So be it. Rest of the day has been spent hanging out with the plumber. The good news is that we caught the leak before it did too much damage. We have these old galvanized iron pipes, so I just had the whole sink redone. Now we have to have a recovery service come in and dry things out so we don't get dry rot and mold. lovely. And expensive, I might add. I'm glad it's getting done, though. The pipes would have had to be redone in the remodel anyway, so this leaves us with one less thing to do in that bathroom when the time comes. Jen- mmmm caramel corn rice cakes sound really good. i, too, just cannot keep sweet stuff around. Doesn't matter if it's lo-cal or not. It just flips some kind of switch. Sigh. Marti - Keeping my fingers crossed on that job for you.... I think its great that you've broken through your plateau. My last plateau lasted a year. I was nursing DD and my weight would not budge at all. I guess the good part was I wasn't gaining, but the not losing was demoralizing. It's easy to just want to give up then. But you haven't and I admire your commitment. 2.5 hours to PDX....you must drive the speed limit  heh heh TJ - good job picking yourself up after a binge. Time to dust yourself off an just pick up where you left off. It does get better. I'm so glad you've joined our little group here. Heather - you have had a heck of a year. I'm so glad you were able to get a transplant. I know people who have been on the list waiting for donors and it's a stressful thing.. so kudos to you for being such a strong gal! Jo- I have so BTDT with the birthday thing :dizzy: My son wants the Chuck E Cheese hoopla this year. His birthday is in November and he's been talking about what he wants since Christmas! I really want to keep things kind of small, but it never seems to happen despite my best intentions. Both of my children have bdays around big holidays which of course adds to the chaos! I have to admit, it makes it kind of fun, too. DD's birthday is on Halloween, so picking a theme is easy! Jana- congrats on another loss! Thanks for all the encouragment, ladies. Hello to anyone I may have missed... RK |
The X's don't share children? Doesn't sound like it. Anyway........BRAVO, RK!! you did a good job in getting the info out in the open.
Must be only natural for him to ask a bunch of questions. I would be curious where my ex was........lol......course that is just me. Also, don't you think old feelings are bound to resurface knowing she is so close..............eeekkk...... You and Marti with the plumbers. Pretty handsome guys?? Les is a plumber......commercial, only deals with clean pipes. When I kind of was thinking there might be something there I mentioned him to Rebecca and she goes " what kind of commercials has he been on??"......she is so funny. K- better get to work! |
Oh my goodness....after filling out the questionaire I felt like an idiot!! There were 6 sections and it took an hour to do. Part of it was a IQ test.......at least that is what it sounded like....I felt very stupid once it was over. A lot of math questions, a lot of wording questions.....I felt like I was doing my SAT's!!
But it's over with and now I wait for the next phone call. Quick individuals: TJ--Girly, don't worry about the cheese and crackers. We all have our moments.....not to long ago I pigged out on popcorn and wine. Now isn't that combination?? But as for skipping dinner....you shouldn't do that...you should try and make it something healthy rather than skipping it all together. You could at least have some veggies or something. It would be much better than starving yourself. Advice from a friend of mine.....she's always watching over me!! (plus your body will love you for it! :) ) Jen--I think I will join you and the others for the labor day race! :D I have 6lbs. to go to get there, but it could go the other way for me. I have been at a plateau forever...I think for almost a year!! So I'm hoping it keeps going down rather than go back up. Anyway,,,count me in. Jana--Your computer makes noises when it has a virus? I didn't know they did that. I've only had a virus once (or maybe twice) and it just drove me crazy not being able to use the computer. (I think I rely on this thing too much!) :dizzy: RK--Drive the speed limit?! Well just so you know, my dd laughs at my driving sometimes.....she compares me to a grandma!! :lol:It may take me 4hrs to get to Portland!! But I have my moments of reverting to teenage years. Wait...I didn't ever drive in my teen years...I didn't even get my license until I was 28!!! Heaven forbid....... Susan--My plumbers were not handsome. They were nice enough but not handsome. Very disappointed! :D Heather--Wow girl....you did have one heck of a year. Well I'm glad that you are here and that you are able to come and share your time with us. Makes a person think about how much they should appreciate their bodies more.... hello to the rest of you gals!! Well I better get going. James is on the phone yappin. :blah: He was suppose to leave this morning, then it was tonight at 8, then it change to 10, then mid, to 1 and then back to 10 and now it's back to midnight. Nothing like having a job and being on call! But that just means more time with me!! :D Boy, I think I got to stop being so clingy! Take Care girls and good night! Marti |
MARTI: your are right I am watching over you. I am always telling you to not skip a meal. You may lose weight starving yourself, but once you start eating again, you gain it all back and then some. Mother hen am I , wish I could take some of my own health and eating advice. I am so bad. :-( Glad to hear your underground pool will be fixed soon. I hate when I have to call my landlord and wait an eternity to get things fixed and then have some incompetent boob make matters worse. Well, at least that is how my handyman works. Took us two weeks to get a clogged shower fixed and now we have a hole is the wall covered by a nicely laquered wood square screwed in on the opposite side of the shower wall. Just in case something happens again and they can get back into the wall. Very attractive, oh how I love the beauty of renting, throwing your money away and not being able to change things and such. Oh, went off on a tangent there, oops, were was I ??? hee hee
Susan: Yeah, another salt on the watermelon freak. I am glad I am not alone. ;-) You have never been to florence?? WOW, it has always been a stopping point growing up on the way to other stops on the coast, plus my dad grew up there after he moved from oklahoma. My family even has a street name after them when they moved from the okies. ;-) My parents just recently sold the homestead property, which was kind of sad. It was a nice piece of acreage on the coast. I remember camping there with my daddy as a kid and walking down the long path to the creek, Anyone Florence is kind of basic, not a real popular coastal destination, but definitely something to check out once. Old Town is cool ( bye the way Marti, we did look in the window of the old time picture place, byron thought the pictures looked cheesy, what a spoil sport) and the beaches are cool in florence, alot more sand dunes. so, when you get a chance check it out. Jana: I now all about computers messing up, I can commiserate with you about that. I want to chuck my computer out the window every day it frustrates me so much. Someday I will be able to afford to get a new one that works right and isn't a pile of crap. It is sad how computers get slow and outdated so quickly. I hope you get your computer well and can get on here more freely. Dolphin: I too crave sweet things every once and awhile and I usually do not have them in my house, so then I tend to grab others things instead. I am usually more of a salty snacker like popcorn, wheathins, peanuts, etc. But every once and while and FF fudgsicle or fruit popsicle or icecream sounds good. Good thing I don't carry those things in my house, but maybe I should keep something that is low fat and sweet just to stop the extra munching. It is hard. I do eat ALOT of fruit, I could live off fruit and veggies, I usually have about five pieces a day, but could eat more. I could never do that low carb diets. I need fuit, veggies and bread. However, I digress, I basically only meant to say I feel for you, I have been there. I guess I am just a chatter box tonight. ;-) TJ; I am going to say what everyone has been saying. Don't beat yourself about about a little cheese and crackers. I relaly don't think that is bad at all. You could have tried wolfing down two cheesecakes, Twinkies, etc. If you get some good, low cal, low sodium crackers and low fat cheese, or a small serving of regular, you can not feel guilty. I am of the opinion that everything in moderation. I learn that from Weight Watchers. That is why i like that plan, it isn't a diet, but a another way of eating. You can have what you want, but in moderation. That is the best way for me to look at eating and diets and losing weight. So, chin up, don't beat yourself up about something small and know that no matter how far off the wagon you go, you can always go back on it. ;-) Well to all the other ladies that I forgot what i was going to say to them, I will catch ya tomorrow or later and I hope that your tuesday goes great and the rest of the week as well. Chow for now. |
