Happy Sunday Morning

Good morning all.
I think I posted back on Friday. I scanned through the posts but didn't take notes so this won't be too good.

Geri, I am an Avon rep. My sister joined and then I joined under her. She has done great. And she homeschools and is expecting her 8th child and her dh works out of town alot of the time so don't ever think you don't have the time. And you're right Avon sells itself. I've only been doing Avon for less than a month or about so I'm just now picking up on it.

Leigh, you could be on a plateau but remember Spryng, she hit a plateau for several weeks tossing a few numbers back and forth but she stuck with exactly what she had been doing and she has broken through it.

Jaymi, don't be upset about the gain. You're right today is a new day, start anew. Good luck.

Cindi, you are being blessed. I am so happy to hear things are turning around for you. How is dh's new job, he got one right?

Michelle, I understand how you feel about having a bad Friday night. I slept 3 1/2 hours literally, I had been awake at 2 am and never went back to sleep, although I tried, and I was busy busy busy on Saturday. But last night was better, I got like 7 hours or so. Hope your Saturday night was better.

Spryng, I know you are enjoying yourself. Hope you're having fun and being safe.

Kristin, how is WW going? We'd like an update, of course this coming week will be one full week right? Let us know.

Hi to Melissa, Melinda, Penny, Ginny, and Tricia.

Well ladies, yesterday was my garage sale day. Me, my sister and best friend met at 7am and headed to Mesquite to find them one right after another and another and another. This is a yearly thing that we do and we've been in several different months, but we have learned that July is the best. The hotter it is the better they are, don't know why. Our goal every year is to get our kids a few things so they know we were thinking about them. Alisa asked for a church dress and she got one along with coloring books, shoes and alittle play pretty purse. Of course some school stuff too. Ally got a dress, shoes for the fall, and a pretty play purse. Andrew got some clothes for now and for fall, a car and a basketball net thingy that makes sounds. On top of lots of decorative things for my new house. My bedroom is going to have an Asian theme and my guest bath is going to be nautical and kitchen will be french country and fruits so I found all kinds of goodies. Now we get to plan next year. I was literally going yesterday on 3 1/2 hours of sleep but I did well. Today we are skipping to church to go to Walmart and get a few groceries. Then after nap time, the church is having a picnic with all kinds of fun stuff to kick off Vacation Bible School this week and we're going to that. Just me and the kids, dh is working today on a side job. Anyways, just wanted to say hi. Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday. I'll try to check in later.

mompen 07-11-2004 08:48 AM

Good Morning Ladies!

I didn't even get to check in yesterday....... :(

Hope everyone had a great day! It sounds like it!

Hubby decided to get spontaneous yesterday and planned for all three (YES THREE) kids to spend the night at his moms and we go do something together.

It was really nice last night to be alone but I missed Andrew soooooo much (and the other two also) but Andrew has never spent the night away before. I am sure he did fine.

I have to get ready for church and then go get the kids and get them ready. (Yeah I am gonna get ready before I go get them......lol) Don't get to many chances like that..... LOL

The house is just too quiet..... Did I actually say that

Have a wonderful day! I will be back this afternoon.

Oh Btw, I am down 1# this week. I am heading back in the right direction.

:) Penny

Hey, gals - I have a bit of an emergency if anyone is online . . .
We suddenly were invited over to a friend's for brunch, but she's not having anything lowfat and I'm out of flexpoints. How do I go and not be rude by refusing food?? Also, we have dinner plans and I want to leave enough points to not go overboard, but be able to eat something in the 8 point range. Help!

Loveliam 07-11-2004 09:29 AM

Never mind - I figured it out. We're picking up spread and she's getting the bagels, so I'll have 1/2 a bagel with 2 tbs creamcheese for about 6 points and not have any of the mimosa. Or just one sip of DH's  Sorry - for some reason the suddeness of it all sent me into a little panic.

Cindi- it's wonderful how you have such an awesome support network. :grouphug: I'm glad we can be part of it :)

Penny - I love your new pic! I'm glad you got time alone with DH, that's always nice. But I know what you mean about missing the kids even when we crave some alone time.

Crystal- it sounds like you did really well at the garage sales. That would be fun! You should take pics of the decorating you do so we can see.

Okay, gals, I'm off for now. I'm trying to talk DH into beginning to organize our condo. It's getting crazy and I feel like everything is out of order. It's driving me up a wall. I think DH doesn't completely understand because he's gone most of the day (and out of town a lot). But this is the environment I'm having to be in all the time.
TTYL.

Jaymi_Dol_78 07-11-2004 01:24 PM

Hey All! Here is my sorry excuse for a post for right now. I know you all are getting tired of seeing “short” post, I feel like I am not doing my part …. Actually I know I’m not doing my part. I should be more supporting, and making more comments. This is not an excuse, but if my computer had DSL I could do 15x’s more. It takes soo long to just load a page, that I barely have time to do anything else. I wish I had more time to get to know you all, and all the newbies to get to know me! I wish I had more time to support the friends here that I have already made! I’ve had to go to copying and pasting my posts to even make sure I’m here everyday. That really sucks!! But I want to try harder… I need to designate a time just for you all… I just can’t seem to find it. If I do it in the morning… I lolly-gag and don’t get my exercises done. Then if I wait until later, hubby or sis complains about me being on here all day… So I don’t know, but I will figure something out soon. I miss being able to read and comment every single post, that helped me out with a lot of my own problems…But I want you all who don’t know me that I’m a better person then you are seeing right now… I just suck right now!! And to all of you who already know me, you all know that I can be better than this.. So please work with me… and try to bear with me!! Well we have a busy day ahead.. Our so called “family day” So I will try to update you all later!! BTW I lost 2 of those lbs I gained back… but of course I worked out like 4 times yesterday.. Today none yet,,, but I will!! Anyways gotta get outta here and get dressed before hubby starts fussing!! Talk to you all later!!

BTW: Chubba- just using fat free ingredients like mayo, and I can’t believe its not butter light…and etc.. Not really making it low fat.. Just lower than it was!!

Leigh- I have plenty left.. If you like leftovers!!

Everyone else… thanks for your comments and support!!

MichelleRae 07-11-2004 01:52 PM

Good Morning Girls!!!

Well weigh in day for me today and I maintained which is great considering this was a horribly weak week for me lol. So I'm happy and I'll do great this next weigh in I'm sure.

Leigh, have a good time at your breakfast this morning. Do you know if you are supposed to eat all of your points each day or is it ok if you come in under points by 5-8 pts?

Jaymi - I know how hard it is to keep up here we are a very active thread.

Crystal - Sounds like you had a good time garage saleing I'll go one of these days but hubby doesnt like to so I guess I'll have to go by myself.

Penny - WTG on the 1lb down!! Keep it up!!!

Have a great day everyone, I'm going to try and do something constructive.
TTYL!!!
Michelle

Loveliam 07-11-2004 04:06 PM

Good afternoon! Doing well today. DH and I went and bought furniture and a few decor items for the guest room, which we're now converting to Liam's room. He's been sharing our bedroom :) Anyway, I'm very excited - we're getting him a bunk bed (for later, obviously - he'll use his crib/toddler bed first) and it's a twin over a full. This will give him lots of floor space for toys and to play, but we'll still have room for guests to sleep there. We're doing a safari theme, which I love. DH really likes it too - the one kind of shopping he gets into is home decor

Angel- I'm glad you're excited about your daughters. Hope you all have a good day.

Jaymi- don't worry too much about responding- we just like to hear from you :)

Michelle- my understanding is you're not supposed to drop too low - so I think you're supposed to not go under 20-22 points. But a few points under - like 2 or 3 is okay.
HTH :)

We're going to take a family walk in the park and then go to dinner with friends. DOn't worry, I have 11 points left for that. I also decided agaisnt the Wendie Plan for now. I thought about it a lot this weekend and I think I really want to see how my rededication to working out impacts my loss and I still want the flexibility of Flexpoints.

Chubba 07-11-2004 10:27 PM

Good evening all!

All the beasties are in bed...Dh included. He gets so cranky sometimes...don't we all? He can't use PMS as his excuse though. ;)

Michelle, I used to go to WW and you are supposed to eat at least your minimum points of your range each day and not go below it. I never had a problem with that myself  . How're things going?

Leigh, great job with breakfast. I give in way to easily...especially for a mimosa! I sound like such a lush sometimes :o . Liam's room sounds great. We're going to keep the boys in the same room..unless they start to kill eachother...until they're older and need more privacy. I would love it if they grew up really close. They fight alot now, but they're always looking to see where the other one is too so it can be cute. :^:

Jaymi...stop saying you suck and just keep posting when and what you can! We love you here :dizzy: :D

Angel, congrats to your daughters. Just get on that scale and get it over with!! We'll still love ya  Once you see the number it'll be easier to stay OP. (listen to me would ya??)

Penny, it kills me...my beasties drive me so nuts some days, but when they're not here I miss them too. I just don't get it. Glad you got some alone time. Did Andrew survive??

Crystal..looking forward to selling Avon. Told my bf today that I was going to do it and she said great! We have another friend that sells products by Jafra...very expensive if you ask me and whenever we would all get together she'd be hauling out catalogs and products and such and it would drive us nuts! She is kind of the pushy type! It wouldn't have been so bad, but she didn't ask if anyone minded, you know? I need to figure some way to tell her because I know she thinks her products are much superior to Avon's (she's a bit snobbish). Kind of looking forward to it though  . I know she'll ask why I didn't want to be a Jafra rep but they have to host those in home demo's...not my cup of tea anyway. More people have heard of Avon than Jafra anyway :D . Good luck with your business too.

Cindi, Jesus sure is nice, isn't He!!

Hi to everyone else out there!

Took a 13 mile bike ride today...a little over an hour. Weather was great and there were a ton of bikers out and about. That's about all I did today. Took a very little snooze this afternoon during the Nascar race while the kids played in another room. That rarely happens around here!!

Well I should get off of here. Hope you all had a great Sunday!! I'll check back in tomorrow after WI probably.

HI Ladies.....

I am running around like usual!

VBS is coming along great! I stayed there almost all day decorating with all the other ladies. We had a great time and I can't wait to see the kids faces tomorrow night. I have to be back at 10 am to finish decorating and cleaning up.

Hope you all have a great week. I will try to check in as much as possible but this week will be so hectic!

Oh here's a pic from home this morning getting ready for church. I know how you ladies love pics ;)

♥Lisa♥ 07-12-2004 12:05 AM

hi everyone,
I guess no one missed me too much lol. I came back 5 days ago from my grandmothers funeral. I tried to log on a few days ago only to find out that all my posts ect had been removed again. i had to re-register my email addy again. i do believe this is the 3rd time I have had someone remove my postings and edit my email but this will be the last time as I have decided not to worry about weightloss for a while.

3 days ago ( on friday) we found and went out to look at a beautiful 3 bed/2 bath 1925 sq ft house with 3.5 acres of property up here in the high desert. The seller wanted $127,500. We offered $125,000 that morning and she accepted the offer and called us friday, late afternoon to let us know. The seller is also a CA licensed realtor so we are cutting out the middle man so to speak.

anyways, we have set a 45 day escrow so hopefully by the end of August we will have bought this house and will finally be out of this apartment.

as far as my dieting, well I am not on one anymore lol and actually feel ok about it.
I am enjoying not having to watch every little calorie or ask myself if something has too much fat or too many carbs.
I'm happy just being me, and if that means being overweight, then so be it. If no one around me likes it, then they dont have to associate themselves with me.

well, I hope you all take care and I wish you all the best in your weightloss journeys.

p.s Chubba?? seeing as YOU seem to know who the person is that has been removing my postings and Pming me,(although, for some reason, you wont share the info with the rest of us) perhaps, you can give this person the good news that they wont have to waste their time anymore playing there stupid little games

LOL how pathetic!!!

DianeJ 07-12-2004 03:49 AM

Hi Ladies!

I didn't get to check in today, sorry, but I've been a good girl, I swear, very OP!

Crystal, sounds like you've had a really busy, but fun weekend. You sound like you are feeling much better, with all that you have going on. I'm so glad you had such a wonderful and productive weekend.

Penny, love the new Pic! How nice of hubby to surprise you with some alone time together, very thoughtful of him, sounds like a keeper! I can totally relate to you missing the kids though. As much as I complain about needing "my space" as soon as I get it, my mind wanders off to what L & E and daddy might be doing. Sad but true. Great job on being down a pound! The scale is definately moving in the right direction. Keep up the good work.

Leigh, hope you fared ok with eating away. Sounds like you got it under control. It can be very challenging when you leave the safety net of home huh? Now you know why I'm so worried about leaving to my sister's house on Tuesday. But I plan on doing some grocery shopping first thing to avoid temptation. ;) Organization IS sanity to me, and my house is far from organized! Start small and work your way through the house in small steps. It's not easy, especially with all the kid stuff we accumulate, but I know I always feel better when clutter is gone, it actually clears my head as well.

Geri, wow, what a great work-out on the bike! I'm very impressed by 13 miles. I'm glad you had such great day outside. Days like that just totally rejuvinate my soul, I love being outside and in nature especially.

Lisa, I'm glad that you are comfortable with your decision regarding weight loss. Good luck with escrow, I know it can be tough to wait it out. I'm not sure why you think the Geri knows who's behind all you bulletin board woes, but I think you are mistaken. Good luck in your personal journey, wherever it may take you. I wish you only the best.

Big Ole "howdy" to all you lovely ladies I didn't have time to get personal with!!!

The scale is again moving in my favor, but I'm afraid to talk about it too much and jinx it! Weigh in tomorrow will tell for sure. Logan is restless so I'm up way past my bedtime, but now I'm getting sleepy so I need to sign off.

Looking forward to chatting in between packing with everyone tomorrow. :)

cheers,
Di

Happy Monday Morning

Hi Ladies. Hope everyone had a great night. I actually slept all night in my bed. Andrew didn't wake up at all. That only happens every once in a while. Sorry I didn't check back in yesterday. We went grocery shopping then came home and had a nap then went to the church picnic. That was difficult with Andrew. It was crowded so I had to hold him most of the time, he weighs 33 lbs. plus didn't want to be held. Anyways, we stayed about an hour and it was fun. It started off VBS which starts tonight and this will be Alisa's first time. She is gonna get scared and try not to go but I keep telling her she will have so much fun. Speaking of, do any of you have the kind of kids that don't do ANYTHING w/o you because they're too attached? I mean Alisa gets scared to do EVERYTHING and it's rubbing off on Ally. I hate that but there's nothing I can do about it.

Lisa, glad about the house and to know you're happy with your weight. That is really great. Sorry we won't be seeing much of you but you are going to be really busy.

Geri, you sound like a busy mama this weekend, of course you always seem busy.

Penny, glad VBS is going well.

Angel, that is so great about your kids. How old are they? I'm happy for them.

Leigh, how was your dinner out last night or with friends?

Di, hi to you. Hope you had a good weekend.

Jaymi, don't think you're not doing your part. We are here to help you get through tough times. Fortunately all of our tough times come at different times, so we are here to help you get on your feet, then you'll be ready to help the next person that goes through some tough times. Hang in there.

Hi to everyone else. Today I'm staying home to clean clean clean. I've got things to do the rest of the week so cleaning is today. I'll fit a nap in there somehow. Well, I'll check in later. TTYL

MichelleRae 07-12-2004 09:41 AM

Good morning ladies!!!

Crystal - Take it easy with the cleaning girly :) Don't over do it!! I couldn't stand the smell of cleaning products when I was pregnant YUCK!!!! I'm soo glad you are feeling better Have a great day!!

Geri!!!! Thanks for the info on WW!! Things are going good here, I did decide to go the WW route and kind of combine programs like Di :) I think the pts will be good for the summer especially since I don't like to cook indoors in the summer so The WW meals will be good for that :). How are those rascally boys? My monster girls are already up and at em lol .

Di so glad you are doing well op!!! You are doing great!!! Anything fun planned for today?

Lisa first I would like to say how great that is that you are getting a new home!! How wonderful! Second, I'm glad you are comfortable with your decision about Weight loss.
Third, We have had a discussion about your posts being deleted a week or so ago and we were assured by the board operators that the only way that your posts could be remove is if you did it yourself or if someone you know that knew your password did it. I have been checking to see if you have logged in recently and had noticed that you were here on the 4th of july or someone logged under your name was :) Also I don't know if that was a personal attack on Geri but I don't think she has any clue who sent you those emails, all she was saying is that she was dismayed that someone on these boards would do that. We are a really close knit group of women here and look out for each other, It is sad that you find you can't make a place here for yourself. I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Spryng - I know you had a great weekend!! Details we want details!!!!

Leigh - How was the BBQ last night? How is liam doing? Teagan Stood up without holding on to anything for about 10 seconds last night it was sooo cute!!

Well I'm going to lurk around the boards some more, TTYL!!!!
Michelle

spryng 07-12-2004 10:17 AM

Good morning all!!!

Wow, it has taken me most of this morning to catch up on posts, I didn't even attempt the last thread, I missed it completely. But it looks like all of you have been doing great and had a nice weekend!
I can't remember what everyone said to get personal but I did want to address Lisa really quickly. Congrats on the new house! Sounds like it is just what you needed and I'm so sorry you have quit dieting. I know diets can be a pain in the butt but it's our "diet" that got us overweight in the first place and I think giving up and quiting is giving up on yourself. I mean it is great to be comfortable in your own skin and not care if you are overweight or not but it's not just about being thin, it's about getting healthy and living a long productive life. You deserve that and so does your kids. Think of how much more you can do with 20-50 lbs off. the energy you'll have. I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in there about it because I feel like so many people (I was once one of them) focus so much on that number on the scale that they forget why we do this.... to get healthy! Ok, I'll get off my soap box now, lol.

Ok, well Penny I enjoyed your new pic!! So pretty! I just love your face! LOL.

My weekend went great. Thursday I drove up to Olathe to meet DH, he was out of hours for the day so we went and saw Spiderman 2 (I thought it was ok) and ate out. Then we went back to the truck and spent the night after DH had to give me a tour of the company's offices and such (boring! LOL) I checked out some books that morning before I left so I got to start a really good book (Intensity by Dean Koontz.... very thrilling!) so I read alot of that while DH showered and tied up some odds and ends. Then Friday he was told just to come home so we goofed around KC for awhile. Ate at the cheesecake factory! (I must admit now I haven't been OP all weekend, :( ) It was sooo good. I got avocado eggrolls, thai pasta and chocolate pecan turtle cheesecake for dessert...mmmmmmmm.... I can still taste it! So good! Then we drove home. Saturday we went to SIL to swim and bbq, that was fun until ds puked in the pool. I think he swallowed too much pool water. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the lake. It was so nice. But before we went I went and tanned because i didn't go do it on wednesday like I normally do boy was that a mistake. I did my tanning session and then spent 2 hot hours in the sun! It was 98 degrees! Needless to say I burned, badly. But it was fun. The water felt sooo good. Tanner had a blast playing at the shore but that boy isn't afraid of anything. He would see his brother and sister playing out in the water with their lifevests on and he would think he could swim too! LOL, he would go charging out there until a wave would knock him down and he'd go under. So I sat next to him in the shallow end keeping him from thinking he was a fish, lol. But it was cute. They all had so much fun. Then we came home, DH did some honey-dos (finally!) and we watched The Butterfly Effect again, made the mistake of watching the directors cut, ugh... totally different ending, didn't like it. But that was my weekend in a nutshell. It was really nice and I loved every second of it. Now when DH comes in in two weeks I'll be going with him for a week. I'm looking forward to that, alot. But I missed you all! I hate not being able to post when DH is home but everytime I would get in front of this screen dh would pull me away for his special time, lol. He didn't want to share me with you all, lol.
OK, but I am back now and planning on making this week a great one! What does everyone have planned for dinner tonight? I think we will have sloppy joes with baked fries.
ok, I need to start on my housework. TTYL!

MichelleRae 07-12-2004 11:35 AM

Spryng

I'm sooo glad you had a great weekend!! Don't worry about not staying op this weekend, I'm just glad that you enjoyed your time with your DH!!! We spent all weekend in the pool as well and I'm nursing a sunburn too, my shoulders and my legs are killing me!!

Teagan decided to rip off her diaper this morning and fingerpaint her crib in poop omg what a mess!!! I had to call hubby home to help me!! Poor thing! I put her in the crib to have a bottle while I picked up then I heard her crying and I go in I smelled it and I was like oh great a big ol dirty diaper for me then I saw her :( her face and hair were poopy and behind her ears and her toes omg well you get the picture lol.

I thought i would share my action packed morning with ya'll. I'll TTYL!!!
Michelle

Loveliam 07-12-2004 11:39 AM

Monday

Good morning :) Having a good day so far today. Went for a two mile walk and then came home and did my 15 minutes ab tape. Liam even let me get a long enough shower that I could wash my hair

Geri- Hi! I also very rarely come in under points :) :cheer: on the 13 mile bike ride - wow! Can't wait to hear news from the WI.

Penny- love the picture! You're looking beautiful :D

Good luck, Lisa. I'm glad you are at peace with your decisions and wish you and your family well in the new house. I think maybe you misunderstood something Geri said - I think she was just trying to say she couldn't understand who would do that to you.

Di- I'm now very excited to hear about your WI!

Crystal- Glad you got a good night's sleep. I did very well eating out last night, thankfully! I'd tell you to have fun cleaning, but that doesn't sound right :D

Good morning, Michelle. How exciting about Teagan - she'll be walking in no time :) Liam still holds on while he stands.

Welcome back, Spryng! It sounds like you had an incredible time with DH - that's awesome! Also, don't worry too much about straying off plan a bit - you know it will eventually even out - if not this week, then next. Dinner for us tonight is Jerk beef salad (jerk beef over salad), corn on the cob, and rolls - well, probably 1/2 a roll for me

Today I'm just doing stuff around the house. I've been quite tired, but it's because TOM is arriving in about 5 days. BTW- Starbucks is now making light frappacinos - if you go to their web site you can click on it and get nutritional info for the different sizes of them. A small is two points, so maybe something for a flexpoints day :)

Loveliam 07-12-2004 11:41 AM

oops - I was posting at the same time :) Michelle- that sounds thouroughly yucky!!!!

Jaymi_Dol_78 07-12-2004 11:58 AM

Hey all you Hot skinny Chickies!!! Don‘t you like the way that sounds!!! Spryng- Glad you had a great weekend!! I'm jealous!!! Leigh...boy a long enough shower to do ANYTHING is great!! What 15 minute ab tape did you do? Anyways today I have only exercised for 30 minutes.. The baby is awake.. I incorporated her into about 5 minutes of my ab work-out Lifting her up on my legs.. But she got bored! She gets bore sooo easy! My son is sick!!! Let me tell you what this crazy knucklehead son did!! He snuck and ate a whole bag of my sister‘s sugar-free chocolate. As any of you know… that will make your stomach upset and have to go to the bathroom!! I told him that‘s what he gets for acting like I starve him. He gets up at about 2 am saying he is hungry.. If I would have fed him, I’d be cleaning up vomit in his bed instead!! He had to learn the hard way.. No is NO! Plus that is STEALING!! Anyways I know I sound harsh with my kids… but I will whip their butts if 1. T hey do something that is harmful and dangerous. 2. If I don‘t teach them about stealing, lying, cheating etc.. now… Who will!!!! That is my job! I don‘t want to raise any jailbirds or non disciplined kids.. And the main thing I don‘t believe in is disrespecting teachers and talking back to adults… I HATE that!! Teachers have those kids more than the parents sometimes during school year, and they take their time to teach them to read, and write, and count… If it was so easy.. I told my sis if she gets up early I will take her places.. So it‘s off to….anywhere that‘s Free!! I will check back in later!! Bye all

MichelleRae 07-12-2004 12:02 PM

Leigh, lol it was thoroughly yucky lol I was trying not to get sick lol. I told her that from now on she is going to be confined in clothing since she can't keep her diaper on lol. Have a good day girly :)

Good Morning Ladies!

So I feel like crap today, I was like so OP this weekend, I can't believe that I am still only 1# over what I weighed at the start. I swear, I think I need a jaw lock or something! ...I am trying to stay positive though, and know that sh*t happens! I started off today with a new committment and a fresh attitude for a new week! It seems like if I get OP for one meal then I am under the mental opinion that the whole day is shot and I will just start over tomorrow...bad habit, I know! Anyway, so I slapped myself around this morning (just klidding) :lol3: and now I am back OP. I have a non-fat bluberry yogurt with 2 tsp of granola in it and ice water...I am feeling better already! NOw if I coudl just get some exercise in today, its looking bleak though, I have so much to do around the house today, I am way behind on filing, and organizing the desk, etc, and I have some other projects that I can't seem to get done, that I really need to buckle down on! My official WI is wednesday, so we will see, maybe I can redeem myself yet!

Spryng - So glad that you had fun w/ your DH this past weekend, you sound very refreshed. SO your DH is gone for like 2 weeks at a time? Is that how it normally goes ? That would be tough, you seem like you have it together though, a true inspiration! :) Dinner here I am not sure about yet, gotta check out what I have written down for this weeks meals and choose one still, I'l get back to you on that!

Michelle - OHMYGOD, that sounds absolutely gross! You poor thing, I hope all that was a fairly easy cleanup once you got DD in the tub! Sydney never did that, I'm sure I will get my fair share when we have another child someday!

Penny - nice pic, you look beautiful !!!

Geri - congratas on the bike ride, WOW!!!!!!!!!

Di - can't wait to here the weigh in results! you too Geri!

Leigh - Thanks for the info on Starbucks! and congrats :cheer: on the workout already today! That is awesome, if I was smart I would get up and do mine right away.
**Quick question for everyone, which tapes, are you finding the most success with? I would like to start doing some tape workouts too, but can't seem to find one that keeps my attention for more than like 30 minutes! and I keep hearing about the "15 minute this and that" kind of tapes and was wondering what they are all about! THanks! :) :)

Well to anyone else I didn't get personal with, I am sorry, and I hope you have a wonderful day! I need to get moving on the to do list that now has about 14 things on it! :stress: :stars: ! I'll be back !!!!!!

spryng 07-12-2004 12:10 PM

Hello again!

Boy I'm so glad it's monday and I'm back to my normal routines again. I love my DH to death but I get so worn out when he is home. We are constantly on the go so monday's is my relax day. I did get the living room picked up and cleaned and vacuumed but that is about it. I have some corndogs in the oven right now for lunch (I'll just have 1) and I don't really feel like doing anything else today. I'm just going to be lazy, lol.

Jaymi, I agree with you about disciplining your kids. I can't believe your ds ate all those cookies! LOL. Kids huh? ;) So how are you doing today besides that?

Leigh, sounds like your exercise is coming right along today! I plan on getting something in today too. It may just be 15 min of ab work too. I'm tired so maybe after nap time I'll try to get something in. And you are right about my off plan days balancing out. It always does. I'm not really worried about it. I do use food to celebrate though and I need to reevaulate that. I mean whenever something great happens or dh is in and I'm really happy food is my reward you know? I need to find a different outlet for that so I don't blow it everytime dh is in. I can't eat like that for that entire week I will be gone with him or I'll come back 10 lbs heavier and it won't be water weight! So I'm going to sit down and write out a menu plan for his truck and try very hard to stick with it. I think I'll buy some frozen ww meals (he has a microwave and george foreman grill in his truck) and some chicken breasts and such for sandwiches. So I should have no excuse to eat like a pig, lol.

Michelle, sorry to hear about your sunburn too! I'm hoping mine turns into a deeper tan for me and no peeling but we'll see. Boy I remember those poop painting days! LOL. So sorry that happend to you! Ava was my little "painter" lol... she would paint all her toys and her walls and bed frame , it was so nasty I would gag trying to clean it up and most of the toys just went into the trash because I didn't think it was worth scrubbing them too! LOL. Bubba never did it but maybe Tanner will. I hope not.

Well I guess I'll get off here and check on those corndogs. TTYL!

sydsmom 07-12-2004 12:12 PM

Jaymi -we posted at the same time! I hear ya girl, about the kid discipline! and sorry to here about the sick son! haha!, he will know better next time I have a feeling! :) 30 minutes of exercise is awesome, Jaymi, be glad you got any in today! :) :)

BTW - In the beginnning of my last post, I said I was so OP I was meaning OFF PLAN, sorry, I know I probably confused the heck out of ya'll! haha! Have a good day!

spryng 07-12-2004 12:18 PM

Kristin you snuck in on me! LOL...
Yes my dh is normally out 2 weeks and in for a weekend. Months that have 5 weeks in them he has to stay out 3 weeks part of that month (he only gets 4 days off a month) but I am used to it now. He will be at that job for a year come september and he wants to find a local driving job so he can be home more often, but we'll see. You sound like you have been re-motivated! Good for you! Just remember it's all about babysteps... one day at a time, one meal at a time. You can do this! And about your workout video question... I have found that any workout video that incorporates weights gives visible results right away. I like The Firm workouts because you see definition after just a few workouts (especially on your rear end, it firms up quick and LIFTS!) But I have a Pilates one that is great for abs and it has three 10 min segments in it, so you can do 10 min if your pressed for time or all 3 for a great 30 min workout (it works the abs, butt and thighs) And my bootcamp dvd is a great workout combining some aerobics and weights and really does a great upper body workout. Maybe you can rent a few at your movie rental place or library and see what you like. Also www.collagevideo.com is a great site to go to to check out videos, it even lets you watch 60 secs of every video so you can really see what the workout is like. (but buy the videos elsewhere because you can get them cheaper on other sites like ebay or amazon)

well... I'm off here now. TTYL!

Loveliam 07-12-2004 01:33 PM

Wow! So busy already :) Liam is napping and I was looking online for pictures of children's rooms for decorating ideas. Although I could be doing something much more productive like straightening the kitchen!

Spryng- I tend to eat in celebration as well. I eat mostly when I'm happy and as a social bonding type thing. That's probably why I ate so much while pregnant - I was very happy :D Corn dogs are good!

Jaymi- oh no! Hope your son feels better soon and figures out maybe stealing cookies is a bad idea. Getting 30 minutes of exercise in is excellent! I know how hard it is with small ones. Liam was trying to help me with my abs workout - it was very cute. He kept giving me kisses when my head touched the ground.

Michelle- I'm hoping Liam doesn't go through that stage, but I know it's common.

Kristin- the important thing is that you're back on track now. Weekends are super hard, I know :D I do the Tammi Lee Webb I Want Those Abs tape. You can see a clip at the collage video site Spryng was telling you about.

Okay, Liam is fussing - TTYL

sydsmom 07-12-2004 02:39 PM

Good Afternoon !

I got lunch down the rugrat and myself as well (which is never difficult :lol3: ) !!! We had corndogs too! I had one and we also had 'ants on a log" although we ran out of "ants" after 2 pieces of celery, so I had "empty logs!" haha!

Spryng - Thanks for the positive encouragement :) and the tape ideas, winter is super , super tough for me to get motivated, so I thought if I could get into the routine of doing tapes, I won't be so bummed about not being able to go outside! Thanks for the resources !!!! Your DH sounds like a very hard worker, you must be pretty proud! No wonder you were so excited about seeing him! :)

Everyone else - hope you are having a nice afternoon! I better get off here and figure our dinner, and get some computer work done! :) :)

Leigh - Thanks for the tape idea, and for the encouraging words as well :) Youa re looking up kids room ideas?!?! Thats what my degree is in,,not kids,,(haha - i wish) but Interior design. Anything special you are looking for? I love kids rooms the most!

Loveliam 07-12-2004 03:20 PM

Kristin - I'll pm you - I do have some questions, actually! That's neat that your degree is in interior design. All this talk of corn dogs is making me hungry when I'm truly full

DianeJ 07-12-2004 03:29 PM

My goodness ladies, you are gabby today! LOL

Spryng, welcome home!! I'm glad you had such a lovely time with hubby, you really deserve the treat. So how did your kids fare? I'm sure they had fun too, but probably missed mommy.

Michelle, OMG how gross! LOL I think I would have thrown up if I had to clean up that much poo. You are a strong woman, or did you make your husband do the dirty work? LOL Well, at least she is creative. ;)

Jaymi, those sugar free candies can sure do a number on your stomache, I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson with this!

Leigh, I've tried those light Fraps, and they aren't bad, but I could never settle of a small (tall, whaterver) I'm a Verde kind of gal myself, so it's best for me to avoid it all together.

Kristen, hang in there, believe me I know it can be frustrating.

I can't chat for long, getting ready for our trip tomorrow, lots of lose ends to tie up, I'm sure you can imagine. I am down a pound, was hoping for more since I've been in limbo for so long, but I'll take what I can get. I think i'm getting lazy at counting points and need to get back to basics with writing it down. Writing is so time consuming but it needs to be done.

I wont be able to post after this, so bye-bye for now and I'll see ya in about a week. Just in time to weigh in again! Have a lovely week everyone. :)

hugs,
Di

watkinsguru 07-12-2004 03:51 PM

Kristin, I didn't know you had a degree in Interior Design. Had I gone to college, that could have been for me. Instead, I took a home course and am waiting on my diploma, not lisence in Interior Decorating. That's just something I love to do and hope to one day make something of it.

Spryng, you go right ahead and be lazy today.

Michelle, I haven't had a kid to do that yet, although my sister's 5th child did it terribly. EVERY day as my sister was homeschooling. She tried duck tape, she tried onsies, shorts, you name it but my niece got through all of it. She even tried the spanking thing, nothing worked, she just grew out of it.

Jaymi, I most definitely agree with the discipline thing. That's one of those things that I can't get started on because I just go off. Like the ones that don't spank, that makes me sick. I think there's another one that's gonna grow up spoiled and wild. Anyways, you go girl.

Di, where are ya going? Do you go on alot of trips or is that just me. I mean everyone here has been going so I might be running everyone's together, who knows.

Hi to everyone else. You girls should know I just napped for ALMOST 2 hours. I knew I was sleepy. I couldn't open my eyes after breakfast this morning and get cleaning, I was so sleepy. Now when Andrew wakes up I'll vaccum and I'm still working on laundry. Tonight is Alisa's first night of VBS and she seems really excited, I'll let you know how it goes. TTYL

sydsmom 07-12-2004 04:35 PM

Hello!
Di - Hope you have tons of fun on your trip and good luck :goodluck: at staying OP! WE know you can do it! :)

Crystal - where did you take online courses at? I love interial design as well as architectural design, that will be my next endevour as soon as all of my children are in school full time! :) which will be like 5 years! we only have one little girl now and want at least 2 more! crazy I know! What I would really love to do is work seasonally, doing weathly peoples christmas decorations, etc, I think that would be so fun!

Hope you all are having a great afternoon!

spryng 07-12-2004 05:44 PM

Hello again!

Just got done with dinner. Boy am I tired today! I took a nap when the kids did and I thought that would help me but now I'm even more tired if that is possible. I went outside to refill the kids pool and felt like every step was so forced. So I ended up doing leftovers for dinner because I didn't want to cook. I also had a glass of diet coke so maybe the caffeine will give me a lift. I need something. I'm also fighting some kind of cold... my throat has been sore the past few days so I've been fighting it off with vit c and zicam... so far so good. But anyway... another long monday huh? lol.

Crystal, how are you feeling? Are you starting to show yet? With Tanner I was in maternity clothes at 8 weeks along. My uterus is like an old balloon... lol... it pops right out there right after conception. ;) But I just love the pregnant belly don't you? Sounds like you had a great nap! Good for you.

Di I guess I missed your post on your trip. Where are you going?? Have fun! I guess you won't read this until you get back so maybe someone else can fill me in. But have lots of fun! And my kids did great for my SIL, when we got back on friday they acted like they never noticed I was gone, lol. So I think they will do great at the end of the month for my cousin.

Kristin, I love corndogs too! It's funny we both had them for lunch on the same day. It was 5 pts for one though, I think I may buy me some of those morningstar farms ones to save pts but I haven't been grocery shopping and probably won't go this week at all. I'm really trying to use some stuff I have in the pantry first. Plus we have been trying to put some money back in savings the past couple of weeks for a bill... 1000 bucks in 3 weeks and it will all be there next week!!! I feel so relieved but because it was such a big amount my grocery bill had to be cut in half so that is why I haven't gone this week, but I will next week. I am very proud of my Dh too... it's strange how year after year you can love them more, you know? He has sacrificed alot to provide for us so I can stay home with the kids and I am eternally thankful. I think too it's been very good for me because before he got that job I never paid bills or did anything on my own and now I feel really independant and strong. I needed that. But I am very proud of him. He is a great husband and father.

Leigh, what kind of ideas are you thinking about for that room? I love decorating too. I haven't did much with this house yet. Next year I have a list of projects to complete. My kids rooms are done though, well mostly anyway, lol. My ds room is spongebob so it's soft yellow walls and all that, very refreshing in there. My dd room is purple with white lace curtains with cascading roses over them, it's very feminine. All her furniture is white and so pretty. Her bed is a rod iron day bed with handpainted roses on it. my DH said I made the room I always wanted growing up, lol. I think he is right. I always had to share a room with my messy sister and share my bed so I never had a cute room. So my dd will have everything I didn't, lol.

Well, I'm starting to feel a little better. Maybe I just needed a caffeine fix. Guess I'll get off here and find something to do. TTYL!

watkinsguru 07-12-2004 05:44 PM

Well Kristin, my courses weren't online. They were books and such that were mailed to me and I mailed in my tests each time I finished it. I completed the course in like less than a year and it was fun, I also finished with like an A. I enjoyed doing it for ME. My dream is to decorate on a budget. I know more people that have dreams and thoughts but not much money. That's where I want to come in. My only down fall is that I'm not creative to come up with ideas to make neat things out of like nothing, but I have a friend that is and I want to partner with her. I'm hoping to use my next home as my test dummy. I'll make a scrap book or journal with pictures that hopefully I can use. I took my course through PCDI, Professional Career Developement Institute. My actual course was through The School of Interior Decorating but through PCDI. Anyways, I can't wait to get to use what I learned. I'm helping my mom right now get her kitchen remodeled. I've already redone her playroom. Well, I'll get off for now. TTYL

spryng 07-12-2004 05:48 PM

Crystal, I was meaning to ask... did you get approved for that house loan? I see you talking alot about the new house so I was curious. I hope so! if so when does the building start??

watkinsguru 07-12-2004 07:02 PM

Spryng, we are about a month away from being able to begin building but I feel like it's a mistake. We absolutely can not afford this but I'm not able to tell my dh my opinion in a serious matter. I'm not that excited about it because I don't think it's right for us. As of right now we've been approved and there are only a couple of things standing in the way. I'm not really showing but I am wearing mostly maternity clothes for comfort. They say with the more pregnancies you show earlier because your uterus is already stretched out. I'm 11 weeks so one more and I'll be 4 months and in my second trimester, YEAH!!!
TTYL

Loveliam 07-12-2004 09:18 PM

Hi . . .

Dinner was good, but I now feel stuffed! That's good because there are no more points for me today :)

Di- have a wonderful time, I know you'll do us proud :)

Crystal- Hope Alisa has fun - let us know! As for decoratin gon a budget - oh, DH would love to hear that come out of my mouth

Kristin- I love Christmas decorations!

Spryng- I'm super tired too, but because TOM is on the horizon. But it sounds like you're coming down with something :( Hope it doesn't develop. Ohhh - I love iron daybeds - I had one that sounds very similar :) Your DD's room sounds beautiful. We already picked the bedding out for him - it's Safari and in very bright, primary colors, so I'll take my decorating cues from that. He already has a little gorilla chair, a giant stuffed gorilla, and other ape/safari type things. But I'm going to look for things that will go with the theme, and I haven't decided if that means redoing the guest bath too (that's attached to that room - it would only mean new towels and shower curtain). Kirstin gave me some good ideas - like to go to some antique stores to look for travel/safari type stuff.

Okay - I'm not sure if I said this in an earlier post or not, but because TOM is almost here, I'm staying in my point range, but not making very good choices. All I want is chocolate and salty foods :lol3: Have a great night!

spryng 07-12-2004 09:58 PM

Hi again!

This may be the last post from me tonight. As soon as I get the kids in bed, which is just a few minutes away, I'm crashing. I'm so exausted. I think I am definitely fighting a cold. I've been sneezing and occasionally coughing tonight, but mostly sneezing and watery eyes. could be allergies I guess but I think it's a cold on the horizon and I just ran out of vit c. But I'll hit the zicam again.
Anyway, not been doing anything tonight. Just crocheting and watching the Food channel, which is probably a bad idea because I feel like I am starving! LOL. After being off plan for a few days my appetite is big. But I ate my pts today and I won't eat anymore, I just need to drink more water to curb these hunger pains.

Leigh that bedroom sounds so cute! You'll have to take pictures when you are done.

Crystal, I'm sure everything will work out with the house. You definitely need the bigger space with the baby coming. Have you had any inklings of what you are having? My dh's cousin is having a boy. She thought for sure it was a girl because of the heart rate (I hate that myth) and because the pregnancy is so hard on her but she found out at her ultrasound it was a boy. Almost 4 months now huh? That's great!! I'm sure you are looking forward to february to get here.

Well, it's been one of those days so I'm glad it's almost over. I hope everyone has a great evening and sleeps well! I'll chat with you all tomorrow! :)

Chubba 07-12-2004 11:11 PM

Good evening ladies,

Spryng, so glad you had a great time with Dh...was there any doubt?? How was the fashion show :o or did you post that earlier and I missed it?? Hope you get rid of that cold quickly!

Leigh...TOM sucks...he just left here. Sorry, I really didn't mean to send him over to your house  . Liam's bedroom sounds very cool. You had better take pictures!

Crystal, I hope all works out for you with the house. You don't need to be worrying about $$ when you have a new baby to worry about. BTW, I'm officially an AVON rep now. I'm not going to do the "e" thing either right now because it's $7.50 per campaign (or $15 per month). I may not even make that much money :p . I saw all kinds of things I want to buy though :^: .

Kristin...I hear you re being off plan. It's so easy to keep cheating when you eat one bad thing. Why the heck do we keep doing that to ourselves?? Life would be so easy if only we'd stop that.

Michelle....ooooooooohhhh YUK! Luckily I have never had to deal with that mess (knock on wood). We have had Balmex painted all over the room though. It doesn't smell but it's a real bit*h to clean up! The little devils are still doing ok these days. Tony's back to his short little naps though so I feel like I don't get much of a break. Will and I try to get in the pool if it's warm enough when Tony is down. Then we get some 1 on 1 time.

Di..have a wonderful trip! To those who asked they're going to her sister's house (or was it SIL?) for a week and she was worried about having healthy eating choices. You'll do fine I think. :D

Lisa...sorry if I confused you. I don't know who could have done anything to your posts...Michelle's a moderator so if she says it's impossible without your password, then she's correct. I'm not computer literate enough to know anything about that. I was just very very upset thinking someone from this board was pm'ing you. Good luck with the new house...it sounds like you need some more space for you and your family. I hope you have a very bright future.

Hi to everyone else out there! It's so hard to keep up with all the posts these days. Summer is outside time for us. Will and I have nice dark tans to prove that...although I have a wonderful line from my shorts so when I swim you see my chunky 'white' thighs  . Oh well...such is life.

Well, somehow or another I managed to lose 2 pounds over the last 2 weeks. I eat pretty good during the day...except when my Mother brings those damn cookies over...arrrgh...and at night I munch on junk. Habits that I need to break. Anyway...now I'm down 32.5 and am almost to my low before getting pregnant with Tony. I was down to 206 when I found out about him. Getting closer to one-derland!! :D Thank goodness for the exercise.

Well, I can't think of anything else and I need to get some stuff done upstairs before I head off to bed. Hope you all have a great night!!

sydsmom 07-12-2004 11:46 PM

Good evening - I am just sitting back having a nice glass of chardonnay...aahhh - and I am not counting the points, I stayed on track today , but I am just so stressed, that will teach me ot go to my mothers! haha! ONe glass will be my flex points, just need to look up how many! !

Spryng - Hope you feel better soon, I hate being sick, my patience always gets especially low and I get snippy. Sounds like you guys are pretty on track about spending your money wisely....funny thing, that is what I just had an argument with my mom about, and other things that she can't bury a hatchet over....ggrrr....I swear, I hope my daughter never feels like this, or that I make her feel like this..its a long story! Anyway, I can see you glowing when you talk about your dh through this computer :D, how wonderful that you have such a strong relationship, I am also truly lucky I think! :) I pay the bills and mow the lawn too. I love to do all that stuff, I was an only child and always taught to be independant. My dad even taught me to change my own oil! ! It feels great being self reliant, but knowing that you always have someone if you need them!

Crystal - sorry I was mistaken about the online classes, - haha. That is so cool, I actually took a year at our community college and then joined Rhotec International Design school based out of London and did correspondance work too! I loved it and did like the same thing that you did. I got my bachelors, its the only school that you can do (pretty much) inside the us that takes you farther than you associates, without moving and going to a BIg university! I loved it! I love budget decorating, I do it all the time for myself and others too, just for fun...my dream is to do like the White house at Christmas, did you know that they pay a company 500,000 to decorate and take down everything for them! I love christmas, and since I am a SAHM, it would be fun to just work seasonally! We'll have to chat about that more!!!! I also have a portfolio that I made, its like a gazillion pages, and I also get like the pottery barn mags, and such, whenever I find something neat or unique I put it in there too!

Geri - congrats on the 2 lbs down! We love having fun in the sun too!

Well ladies, I an fresh out of energy, and so if I didn't get personal, I love you anyway, and hope you all have a restful night! :)

Jaymi_Dol_78 07-13-2004 12:02 AM

I guess I need to stop whining and do something about it!! NOO, that’s what I need to do.. I need to restart on my goals and add that to it! I’ll figure out a way to catch up! If I have to copy all of the posts on the computer and reply that way,, then come and copy and paste them or something!!! There’s gotta be a faster way!! Guess what! I was interviewed on the news today.. But what really sucks is that I didn’t see it because either we don’t catch that channel or it came on at 5 and I wasn’t home yet! They were asking about putting a strip club about 2 blocks down.. I said He*L NO!!!!!!!

Well anyways tomorrow… tomorrow… here are my goals for tomorrow, and I will add more whenever I need to!
