HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEMPY!!!!!! Have a great weekend. You deserve it!!!

Cal, Have fun in Alaska and we will miss you while you are gone.

Noelle, I saw that firefighter surfing school on the Travel Channel. That is close to you? I want to come to Hawaii so bad someday but I think in order for me to do it with Jay I have to wait until Rebel dies. They had airfare specials on the news yesterday for $450.00 to Hawaii. I told Jay I wanted to go.

I gotta go wreck my Mom's car but I will check back in a while.

GEMonster 07-01-2004 11:23 AM

Hey Ladies!

:balloons: Happy Birthday to Angie and Kempy! May you both have great years and even better cake! :hb:

Cal safe travels for Alaska! Enjoy the cooler weather and seeing your DH!

Noelle I'm okay. Heck of a week but I am on vacation next week!!!!! :D
but I don't think I would EVER leave the beach if I worked with surfers and fire fighters. That sounds close to heaven. How are you? Congrats on making it through preschool to you and your son. That calls for some ice cream. I think alot of things call for Ice cream

Angie welcome to the world DSL - you will love it! Wreck your mom's car? :?:

Kempy I hope you have an amazing day followed by an even more amazing weekend and that you will NOT be bored at work.

Ok craziness calls again :dizzy: - I will try to check in more before I leave!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE!!!! :hb: :hat: :gift: :flame: :balloons: :lucky:  :cofdate: :cheer:!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I will be thinking of you today. I am happy that you will be alone with Jay and maybe you can fit a little romance between all the work you have ahead of you this holiday weekend. I don't even know what the **** romance is anymore ! I love ya all like sisters and so glad I have came here almost a year ago. love ya and be special to yourself today!!!! Happy-Bday to the rest of your family also.

Kempy!!!! :hb: :joker: :cb: :gift: :hat:  :balloons: :lucky:  :cofdate:!! I will also be thinking of you today. I wish we were all together and could go out for some really good mexican food and margaritas, well Angie just may order a beer or a cocktail ! Like I said I love you girls like sisters since I don't have any or girlfriends. Treat yourself today and be good to yourself.

Hi Noelle I missed you too. God that girl is crazy for leaving that job with the fireman....I take an application ! Our little ones are growing so fast. How are you and Rick holding up? I am a wreck about it. I always think what in the **** is the world going to be like in twenty years....more disease?, wars?, or well gotta think postivie. Hang in there and if you ever need to talk or vent pm, or I will give you my number or address. Mine will just be starting pre-school in the fall and I am a mess about that :?:. Get a grip, I keep telling myself.

Cal have a great time. I want to go to Alasaka someday. I am sure Ashley will be excited to see Daddy. Relax and enjoy!!!!

I think I am going to lose it this week with this pms. Last night I was in tears and had another panic attack. They get worse with this stupid time. Plus do mens heads go in there butts when this time comes. He heard me crying and just went back to sleep. So cold and such an ***. Its really hard to deal with these stupid issues of mine and take care of a house, kids, and try and lead a normal life. I am only here on these message boards where the husbands can be jerks? Oh well this too shall pass.... :). It is another beautiful day here. Lots of sun and warm weather. Hi everyone else. Julie

angieME 07-01-2004 04:52 PM

okay, My sister showed up this morning and we got all of the decorations for my Mom's car. When we were driving up the road I could see her car in the parking lot and there were balloons and stuff on it. I said" **** someone already took our idea!" So we pulled in front of the car and I got reading the banners on the car and they Said HAPPY 32 BIRTHDAY ANGIE!! So we got out laughing as half of the mill was watching us out the door and Mom comes running out with her camera yelling GOTCHA!!! She had some carnations in the seat and a candy bar and a note saying I got you first. Needless to say I was surprised. So she had to get back to work and we ripped everything off her car and decorated it for OVER THE HILL. The women by the door kept laughing especially when we were done. It was fun.

Jay brought me home some fresh strawberries and cordless speakers for the stereo so I dont have to crank it to hear it out back. He is so sweet. I had a good day.

Summer, Have a great vacation. You deserve it girl after the last few weeks you have had.

Julie, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} I hope you are feeling better soon. I wished we lived closer too so you could hang out with us when you start to feel down and we could cheer you up. I think of you guys like my sisters too. I know I normally talk to you guys more often than my family.

angieME 07-02-2004 08:59 AM

How is everyone doing? My kids are officially gone for the weekend. YEAH!!!! I am sorry to sound so happy but they were miserable yesterday. I made it through my birthday on track pretty well. I had some Town House crackers last night that I shouldnt have but other than that I was okay. I think I am going to grill hamburgers tonight and then tomorrow night I will make my lobster spaghetti and that hopefully will help me through the weekend on track....now to find the time to work out.....

angieME 07-02-2004 09:02 AM

Kempy, I bought the book Eating For Life. Your guide to Great Health Fat Loss & Increased Energy by Bill Phillips from Amazon.com. It sounds like it may be able to help me work around my habit of eating the same things everyday.

melekalikimaka 07-02-2004 03:59 PM

Hello ladies, yesterday was a Friday for me so I didn't get a chance to get online. My parents went island hopping for the weekend and Mike's out of school so it's him and me today. I just dropped them off at the airport and went to Costco to get gas. So what are your area's average prices for regular unleaded? I hear prices are going down on the mainland. Our average here is about $2.24+ REGULAR! At Costco it's about $2.04 so I drive there to fill up.

Angie congrats girl on getting back on track! :high: I knew you'd get it back. Send me some of that mojo. Your mom sounds really funny, just like you. Glad you had a great birthday. Have a wonderfully  ish weekend w/Jay--I'm sure you'll have fireworks

Kempy, hope you're enjoying yourself as well. Have fun at your b-day party!

((((Julie))), here's another hug. I don't have many girlfriends that live near me as most have moved to the mainland so I consider you gals my pals, for sure. Believe me, my husband can be a real pain in the @ss sometimes, he drives me crazy a LOT but I love him anyway.

Cal, you're probably well on your way to AK by now. Have a safe journey.

Summer I agree, ice cream is called for :hun:. Your day must be half over by now, then you can enjoy your long weekend and vacation week :cb: Have a great time.

Well ladies, I think we'll be heading out to watch Two Brothers today, I will try to stay out of the fatty fatty greasy oily disgusting movie popcorn. Chat w/ya laters.

jbbm 07-02-2004 05:51 PM

Hi girls

Noelle great to see ya back! Island hopping sounds fun. Its like cornfield hopping here ! Not really I live in a city with 102,000. Have fun at your movie. God your making think of movie popcorn. I just love it. Grease and all! When hus and I were dating we would go and rent a movie and there was a theatre close by so we would stop and pick up a huge bucket of popcorn :lol:kind of nerdy, huh?

Angie thanks for the address. I will get you out mine. That is really sweet of Jay to get you strawberries and the speakers. You know strawberries are the shape of hearts. I can tell by your posts you guys are so in love :)!! How sweet. After my hus was being an a** the other night he walked in yesterday from work with a red rose for me. It was nice but I still think he was acting jerky !! Your menu for tonight and tomorrow night sounds delish! Tonight we are having ginger, honey, soy marinated salmon. Baked potatoes and veggies.

Well supper is on I better get going. Hi to everyone. And Happy 4th of July!! Check back later....Julie

angieME 07-02-2004 07:40 PM

MMM Julie, Your supper sounds so good. I have never had salmon before. Maybe I should try it sometime. I am hitting the point where I want to eat everything again. I ate 1 1/2 hamburgers for supper. :yikes:

Yep, me and Jay are geeks with the lovey dovey stuff. I just love to be with him, we keep saying that it was fate that we met. :lol:I met him for a second one day and then about a couple weeks later me and my friends happened to go to his town and he was riding by as we were turning off the side street to head back to our town. We have been together ever since.

That was sweet of your husband to bring you flowers after an argument. I hope you two got everything worked out.

Well, I had better get off the puter since we have been getting thunder storms all day.

Luv ya guys!!!!

angieME 07-04-2004 11:10 AM

Happy 4th Of July!!!!!!

Hey girls!!! I hope you are all out enjoying your long weekend. :cb: Well, wouldnt ya know it but I started my period yesterday!!!! I always start it on the weekends the kids are gone. Luckily, I was safe on Thursday. ;)

I went to Walmart yesterday and bought all of the things I need to redo my master bathroom. I painted it this morning and I have the rose border to do later. I bought all the mats and window stickers etc. in the purple rose. It goes perfect with the swags over my mirrors. It should look really nice when it is done.

I caved yesterday and my junk total was: Breakfast: cereal and skim milk
snack: 1 no bake cookie
Lunch: BBQ chicken sandwichw/veggies on it.
snack: 1 piece of fudge
supper: Loster/spaghetti/parmesan
snack: 1 piece of fudge

I know it wasnt good by a long shot but considering what I would have eaten on a normal Saturday it was pretty good.

Well, I gotta gop to work but I will check back later in case anyone gets a chance to post.

angieME 07-04-2004 11:11 AM

Julie, I bought some Atlantic Salmon yesterday. How do you cook yours?

melekalikimaka 07-04-2004 04:55 PM

Hey ladies, hope you're all enjoying your 4th! I'm just lounging around today, it's so humid I'm just sitting here at the 'puter with the fan on, Michael's playing Shrek 2 on the Xbox and Rick's out riding his bike at the Choppers Only 4th of July motorcycle rally. I don't know if you guys watch American Chopper or the Biker Buildoff series on the Discovery Channel but a bunch of the guys are down here for the event...Billy Lane, Paul Cox, Indian Larry. I was going down to see the bikes until I found out i'd have to pay $10 to get in, cheapskate that I am . Instead, Michael and I are making the jello cheesecake shaped like a flag :T . I'll whip up a salmon and tofu salad for dinner later on. We're having the usual Sunday BBQ but we're having burgers and grilled shrimp along with our apple pie.

Angie, you probably already cooked yours up but I usually put my salmon filet in a foil pouch and just sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder on it, maybe some dill and just pop it in the oven or throw it right on the BBQ grill. Then I squeeze some lemon juice on it when I'm ready to eat. Easy and no added fat. Rick on the other hand, would smear a layer of mayo on it then wrap it and bake it. That's really tasty too but ya know how much fat mayo can have--and I only like the real stuff, no reduced fat or fat free *yuck* Hey girl, you've been doing great and a few pieces of fudge aren't going to kill you. You're doing a lot better than I am. I'm not even trying right now. I will have to soon though, if I'm going to meet Cal in October. Talk about motivation! Don't work too hard today, it's a holiday!

Julie, we enjoyed the movie Two Brothers, that was really cute. Kinda sad at times, but overall a good movie. I stayed out of the popcorn for the most part. I just bought a kids pack (the popcorn and drink) so there wasn't that huge bag to deal with. Hehe, Rick and I have done the same thing w/buying the movie popcorn then going home to watch a DVD... you're salmon sounds great. I love that soy/ginger combination on chicken and steaks too.

Well, hope everyone else is having a blast this weekend> Anyone off tomorrow? I am I am  See y'all around tomorrow.

jbbm 07-04-2004 05:32 PM

Happy 4th of July

Hey girls Happy 4th of July

I just typed up this long post and poof! Gone!!! Ugh!!

Angie hi, I usually make the salmon the same way Noelle does with a foil pouch and a pat of butter, s&p, lemon juice or the honey, ginger, soy, lemon, garlic marinade. That marinade is great on chicken fish or pork or beef. I started TOM today. We are getting on a pretty close schedule, lol!! I just wish these damn emotions would go away. One minute happy the next sad. Oh well, I have alot to be thankful for and I just need to think about that:).
Don't worry about the fudge. Its not like you ate a whole pan. I think it looks like you had a healthy day.

Noelle my hus watches Orange County Choppers. I love the dad on that show. I have watched that one several times. I don't know the other ones you said but I am sure my husband would, he watches all those shows. Your cheesecake and bbq sounds great. I am craving a cheesecake so bad. My sil is having a cookout tonight. She makes great potatoe salad. One of my downfalls. Hehehehe....

Well Hello to everyone else!! Everyone be safe and have fun. Check back later or tomorrow. Julie

Kempyd 07-05-2004 09:54 AM

Hey guys! Sorry I havn't had the time to get here. We were pretty busy over the past few days. My b-day dinner was AWESOME. Shrimp and tassso pasta with a big piece of rocky road cheesecake after. And then for the party a friend of mine made a choc. cake with choc. icing covered with choc cake crumbs, nuts and snickers. YUMMY!!! There is no more in my house. I am not relaly worried about the damage that is done b/c it is to late now. Plus I am PMSy.

Julie that is sweet of your hubby with the flower. See, I bet there is a little bit of goodness left in him. He may have just forgotten where itis sometimes.

Noelle let that girl know that I will be right over there to take her old job. They don't need to send out anything to annouce that they are hiring. Our gas prices here are going down too right now they are $1.74. That is the cheapest I have seen in awhile.

Angie are the kids home? Did you have a great time without them? That is pretty funny about your mom's car. Oh yeah, and the bear you sent was the hit of my party. WE were all inside and my nepew started to dress it up with stremers. Before i knew it the bear was drinking a beer and then they had him pased out. I have more pictures of the bear then I do anyone else.

Does anyone have today off?

angieME 07-05-2004 10:17 AM

Good Morning everyone. Well, My bathroom came out beautiful!!! I love it. Now I am going to paint 2 walls in my bedroom the same color and make a swag out of the border to go over my bed and doorways.

The fireworks SUCKED last night. Someone made a big donation to Greenville and made them buy bigger shells which meant they couldnt light them off the barge in the lake like they usually do so they moved them and noone could see them!!! We were sitting at the top of the hill looking at the lake along with hundreds of other people and then we saw flashes from behind a bunch of trees(far away from the lake). There is no way anyone in town could have seen them. We left early along with most others.

I am going to cook my salmon for supper tonight. I found a marinade recipe on the internet for ginger, garlic, soy sauce, orange juice and honey. Is that what you use Julie?

Kempy, I am glad you had a great party.Jay found the bear. I thought he was cute. I wanted to find a flag for your garden with labs on it but I couldnt.Your dinner sounds so good.

Noelle, Our gas prices just dropped down to $1.91 for regular. How was your BBQ?

Kempyd 07-05-2004 11:57 AM

Angie we didn't even see any fireworks this year. We were so lazt yesterday we didn't move from in front of the tv. We finally started to stir around 6 last night. Thankfully we had cleaned the kitchen from the party Saturday night at about 3 in the morning so we didn't have to worry about doing that. The fireworks in Pensacola were the best to me. But, this morning on the news they said the Baton Rouge had the biggest show in the state and it lastest 21 mins. I wish I would have been able to see that show. I feel like a little kid when I watch them. I have a permenent smile on my face. Last year Joe made me sit on his lap b/c he said that I was just so cute sitting next to him with that grin and big eyes.

I am trying my hardest to gfet out of here early today. I am hopign that people will not show up to workout after lunch so I can bolt out of the door. So far only one person has come in in the past 45 mins. If they keep this up I will be out in no time.

jbbm 07-05-2004 12:15 PM

good morning

Angie yup that sounds like the marinade, but I use fresh lemon jc. but the o.j. sounds great too. I hope you like it. The othe stuff is the same exact things I use for the marinade. Angie now you got me thinking of painting. I have one bathroom in my house I would like to paint a bright color. I am glad yours turned out for you. Thats a bummer your fireworks sucked. Our were good.

Noelle sorry I forgot to answer your question the average price of regular here is $1.88. I hope you enjoyed your bbq! I am sure the food was wonderful as always.

Kempy those desserts are making my mouth water. I am glad you had fun at the party. I wish I was there!!

Well check in later girls, going to put fresh sheets on the bed, fun fun ....Julie

angieME 07-05-2004 06:42 PM

okay, I am not a salmon person. YUCK! It was so....fishy.

We got our backyard filled in today so that it is all level. Now our neighbors have a huge bank staring at their backyard but oh well. At least I can use mine now. The yard looks huge now.

It has rained most of the day and it is just plain gloomy looking. I hate it. I ate a nobake cookie today and I have fudge. I am sad to say that I am scared that I wont be able to make myself lose the weight again. I dont ant to be fat but I cant seem to get up the gumption(?) to stick with a diet. I am actually craving a binge. I feel like a drug addict. I dont know if I can do it again. I dont know if I want to have to continue to do this for the rest of my life. It would be so much easier to stay fat and lazy then to ride the rollercoaster of gaining and losing and the emotions and lack of self respect that come with it.

jbbm 07-05-2004 08:29 PM

Angie sorry you did not like the fish. I have to make this shoRT BECause my computer is acting up as you can see. It keeps posting in caps. Angie don't give up. We all have our down days. Just keep that in mind. You WIll get back on track. Well the keyboard here is not working right. I have to go get hus. Hugs Angie. You will make it. Just take it day by day. Thinking of you....Julie

chikitababe 07-06-2004 09:49 AM

Hey ladies! Can I rejoin the group :^: ? I have been really bad both diet and exercise wise.

This summer is going to test my patience! We have 3 kids of our own (4 1/2, 7 1/2 and almost 3), the oldest has ADHD. Plus I am watching a bro/sis combo who are 9 and 11, and the 9 yr old has ADHD as well. Today I started watching a 4 1/2 yr old and 5 month old (brothers) as well. So....all total, I am watching 7 children from 7 am- 5:30 pm M-F for the summer. WHEW, lol. God help me!!

Happy belated birthday to Kempy and Angie :gift:.

I am ONCE AGAIN trying to restart my diet and exercise program. So far today, I have walked 4 miles, and eaten 1 low carb slim fast bar and 2 sugar free butterscotch discs.

Ok, need to get back to the kiddies. I'll try to check in later.

Holly :)

Kempyd 07-06-2004 11:55 AM

Hey, where is eveyone today. We were doing so good yesterday.

Holly, so good to see you back. Wow, 7 kids. I can't even imagine 1. I havn't been that good this summer either. I tired to set a goal of 3 lbs for my b-day but it didn't happen. Oh, well.

Angie I know you can do it again. It is really hard to get started and I go through what you are going through eveyday too. I bet the book you got will help you once you start to read about nutrition. I have been fortunate to have taken a few courses in college on it so I have a little bit of a base on it. Plus, I read every book I can get my hands on.

Julie is your puter fixed?

Noelle how was your day off? I ws stuck here but I did manage to leave an hour early. This time of the year is really bad in the gym. No one wants to comein plus most people are on vacation.

melekalikimaka 07-06-2004 02:59 PM

Hey ladies, how's everyone doing today? Yesterday we were hanging around the house complaining about the humidity when we decided we would go out and play tourist in our own backyard. We went to visit the Mighty Mo (USS Missouri) Navy battleship at Pearl Harbor. I had never gone to see it before and my dad is a retired navy man so he was all gung ho to go and see it. It was really interesting and kind of unnerving. The ship is right next to the Arizona Memorial and when you listen to the tour guide talk about the war and the casualties, it just gave me chills. You can just feel the history there. I'm glad I went. We also got wrangled to take a few photos (which you can buy afterward) and while they came out pretty good, I can see the results of my non-dieting efforts **eeeewwww** :ink:. So that was a good thing I think because today I have new mindset and will try to get back into the groove. I have that pic to look at for motivation

Holly  welcome back. You know you can always come back here. Wow, are you watching the extra kiddos for pay? I forgot if you were the one doing childcare. At least some of the older ones can entertain themselves while you tend to the wee one. I give you credit girl, for taking them all on + making the time to exercise. We all have to restart once in a while, the main thing is to never stop trying right?

Angie, hang in there. I have felt those same things as you are feeling now, in fact I'm feeling them now. You can get the groove back and you will. We all have the tools to do it, we just need to use them. :grouphug: Hmmm, I will try and think of a fish you can try that does not taste like fish  (just kidding)

Kempy, glad you enjoyed your b-day celebration and the cake. All sounded great. Do you know what I envy about you? Working in a gym and knowing how to use the weight equipment. We have this Weider(?) system at home and I have no clue whatsoever how to make it work. It has 3 or 4 different functions and I don't know how to move the locking pins around to use them...Rick's not in the groove either so it's collecting dust right now.

Julie, hope your computer is back to normal soon, maybe something stuck under the keys of the keyboard? My space bar is stuck on the right side so occasionally all my wordsruntogether  Hope your day is a happy one.

Summer and Cal enjoy your vacations!

jbbm 07-06-2004 03:49 PM

Good Afternoon girls

Noelle that tour sounds really interesting. I love to hear about history. I would have like to have gone with. I have been looking at pictures of myself a year and half ago and think I never ever want to get at my highest again. Its true pictures don't lie. I am having really bad cravings though today. I feel like opening up a bag of chips and having a candy bar! Bad Julie!

Holly welcome back. Did you leave your other job as a P.T. assistant? I give you credit though for in home day care. My two are enough work for me. How are those low carb slim fast bars? Any fiber in them? I was thinking about trying them.

Angie are the kids still gone? Hope you did not work to hard this weekend. But it must have been busy with the holiday and all.

Kempy I told my hus we should just buy a new computer. I don't know whats wrong one month its fine the next it acts up. Must get my pms and TOM !!

Well I think Monday is mexican tonight. Maybe tacos or bean enchiladas. I would like to use the oven because it is cold here today and damp and raining. Kind of tired today :coffee:I took a headache reliever with caffeine in it to late last night so I was up until 1:30 :yikes: and dd got up at 5:32. I just love these days . Hope to see more posts from everyone!

jbbm 07-06-2004 03:53 PM

Btw I baked a batch of homemade from scratch white chocolate chunk cookies and did not have one yet!!

angieME 07-06-2004 04:59 PM

I am sorry I didnt post yet today. I got up this morning and started to paint my walls. I am doing the one behind my bed and one side wall. It is a dark plum color(the same one as my bathroom) It is dark but it looks nice. Then my parents stopped in and then I was late for work so I didnt have time to post. I still have one more coat of paint and then I am cutting the roses out of the leftover border from the bathroom to make a swag for the wall.

Brit went with my parents today,Alicia is at a friends house and Corey is at the bakery so hopefully noone comes home for the night.

Kempy, My book came today. It looks like it has some good recipes in it that I will have to try. Thank you.

angieME 07-06-2004 05:00 PM

Julie, You have the willpower of superwoman!!!! Dont you know that verything tastes better when it is warm? That is why I eat so many honeybuns. I dont even like them cold. haha

jbbm 07-06-2004 05:11 PM

Angie, honey yes I have lost alot of weight but, I don't have willpower in other areas of my life. Do you know what I actually did with the cookies, cooled them and froze them in ziplock bags, so they can be for hubby's work or dd's sweet tooth. I know everything taste best out of the oven, yesterday I took the first pan out and it was not cooled enough to be taken off the pan and it was warm, sticky, sweet and one good goey cookie but I offered the broken ones to hus. btw your decorating sounds beautiful! I love plum color.

melekalikimaka 07-06-2004 07:36 PM

:strong: <--- Julie that's you with your just say no to cookies willpower. That's awesome. That's a great strategy about freezing them into serving sizes for others to eat.

Angie, you must be a busy bee with all your painting and decorating. I bet it turns out really nice. Didn't you do the border in the living room not too long ago? Heck, I feel accomplished when I scrub the bathroom down much less tackle the painting and stuff

Well, I just got back from lunch and I'm still on track :crossed:. I have a bunch of laundry to do or Rick will have to go naked soon, but maybe I'll throw a couple of loads in then go for a walk with my sis *gasp*, did I just say that? My legs are feeling a little worked up--you should've seen how many narrow steps we climbed up and down on on that battleship yesterday. That was a good thing. I hear they say muscle has memory--I'm hoping my legs remember how to walk up those hills and don't complain too much.

Have a good afternoon.

Kempyd 07-06-2004 08:15 PM

Now this is more like it. I like to see all of these posts.

I didn't eat very good today. I had 2 pieces of leftover pizza for lunch and 2 for dinner. But, I did take the dogs for a walk and gave them both a really good bath so that had to burn something. Plus, I need to do some straightening around the house. We are going to see the Blue Angels this weekend and I like to come home to a clean house.

Noelle one of my clients just came back form HI and she went to see the same place. She said the same thing as you. Do you have a manual or somehting for your machine? They really arn't that hard to learn. it just takes getting used to the diffrent positions.

Julei do you have any b4 and after pics? I would love to have some inspiration. I can't seem to keep my mouth closed when it comes to food. I don't think the frozen cookies would work with me. I would eat them anyway. i have no willpower when it comes to sweets.

Angie you can come down and finish my bathroom for me. :D I still need to paint the toilet room in the master bath. I just got tired of doing it.

Nighty night ladies . Just came to report that I did great eatingwise today, no cheats or binges. That is a big accomplishment for me lately. I got home late so I didn't get to go out and walk but I did get 5 loads of laundry done so it wasn't all a bust.

Kempy, i don't know if we have or even had the manual for the weight machine. I guess I could go online and do some searching. I like the Blue Angels, those are the Navy ones right? Those shows are so awesome.

Well, I gotta check the dryer...see y'all tomorrow.

Good morning! Thank you all so much for the welcome back! I did ok yesterday foodwise. My only "junk" were miniature fruit flavored marshmallows. I did go to the store last night, and bought a Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix and frosting, but, somehow kept the will not to bake last night. My TOM is due in 4 days, but, I know that is not an excuse. If I am ever going to lose any weight, I need to get a handle on my diet. It is soooo hard though! I think my problems are definately sweets, and the fact that it takes me so long and so much work to lose even 1-2 pounds.

Kempy,

We didn't see any fireworks per say this year either, other than 2 minutes worth a neighbor down the road was setting off in their back yard, lol. Don't feel bad about not losing the 3 pounds, I have such a hard time staying at one weight. I seem to yo-yo between 142-148 on a weekly basis. I wouldn't mind yo-yoing so much if it was 125-130. Oh well. I have no one to blame but myself.

Noelle,

I am watching the extra kiddies for pay. I was working as a PT aide and doing childcare after school, but, as of June 30th, I started my childcare full time. My position as the PT aide is a 9-month position, Sept-June. I still haven't decided if I want to go back to it in the fall, or stay in childcare. It's really a toss up for me at this point. What I would really like is to get my Mary Kay business off and running. Great job on the good day yesterday!!

Julie,

I have tried 2 of the low-carb slim fast bars, the chocolate brownie, and chocolate caramel. The chocolate brownie was awful, but, I did like the chocolate caramel. Unfortunately, there is less than 2 grams of fiber in them. You have been on a no/low carb diet right? Are you taking the vitamins for the low carb lifestyle? How much weight have you lost?

Angie,

Keep your chin up. This dieting, better eating is sooo tough!!

I hope to check in later!!

Holly :)

Good morning ladies!

Well, another day at work. It is pure torture when it is slow like this. Iende up watching a movie last night instead of cleaning but I am not going to beat myself up about it. I watched 50 first dates. I thought it was a pretty good love story. Funny too.

Noelle the Blue's are the Navy. They are stationed out of Pensacola and this is the last show that they do every year. They start the season in P'cola by doing a show at the navy base and end it by doing one at the beach. It is an all day thing. You have to get out there really early like 6 in the morning and you are pretty much stuck out there until 6 that night. There is really only one way onto Pensacola beach so it is jammed packed with people trying to leave after the show. So, we just sit there and hang out for a few hours to let the traffic thin out.

Holly, I hear ya on wishing to be yo-yoing at 125. I only think I was at 125 for about 2 hours when I was in high school.

What's up with you guys today?

:coffee: Noelle, Let me just say....:cheer: YEAH FOR YOU GIRL!!!! I am so proud of you!!! Now I need to get Back in the track of eating right AND exercising. I wonder why this year I am making excuses for not doing it but last year I wouldnt have dreamed of it. I think it is embarrassment. I just dont want to leave the houe and be seen fat again.

Kempy, I got my book. He uses alot of Myoplex in his menus. Do you know where to get it and what it is for? I am going to make a menu out of his book for next week and try them all.

Julie, I am with Kempy, I would eat them frozen.

Here are some pics of my bathroom. The one of the doorway isnt done yet. I need to buy some more border to cut more flowers from to make iot fuller but I wanted to show you how cute it looks.

Good Afternoon Girls

Noelle yeah!!!! I am so proud of you. One day at a time, think of it that way and it is not so darn overwhelming. I think your getting your groove back :bravo: :cheer:! And I am a true believer that laundry is a work out in itself. Bending, moving, walking it gets my heart rate up. Go girl!!!!

Angie your bathroom is beautiful! If you ever change postitions you could do interior design, I am so serious. It looks wonderful. It makes me want to paint mine.
I know cookies taste great frozen. Especially my white chocolate chunk with a big scoop of vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream between. Yum Yum!!

Kempy I wish I could pick you up from work and we could go shopping and out for a huge meal with drinks :D!! I hope you get to leave work early.

Holly I have lost quite a bit. I am down between 123-126. Too bad that the slimfast bars don't have more fiber. If you read my old post I am trying to get as much as I can everyday. Up to 40-60 grams which is absoutly impossible. God, you must have your hands full. I hope God grants you patience.

Well hus is off today. I had a doc's appt. this morning. It went pretty good. What is everyone making for dinner tonight? I might go all out and make steak, shrimp, twiced baked potatoes and a nice cold beer or two:devil:! I am such a bad girl . Okay guys I am admitting it I had summer sausage, and melted cheese on triscuits. I have a bad addiction to melted cheese :o!! Whats a girl to do? Its my only bad thing I do right now. Well the shower curtains in both bathrooms were washed and both tubs scrubbed. And I think that is enough work for the day. I should do more dusting though. It never ends !!!! Check back later....lets all keep supporting each other :). Happy thoughts for everyone. Julie

Good Morning girls!! Kempy, this week has gone by so fast that I forgot to say bye to you for the weekend. Have a fun one.

Julie, You are that tiny now??!!! WOW!!!! I really envy you. Come help me stick to a diet.PLEASE!!! You should post a pic. You have done such an awesome job. I found some good looking recipes from my new book. There is a chicken enchilada recipe that I am going to try next week. I have never had one.

Noelle, How are you doing so far this week. I fell off....again.

Holly, Wow that is alot of kids to take care of. I would go crazy. My 3 are more than I can handle half the time. haha

Julie, I forgot to post this but here is something I make when I am screwing up. It is NOT healthy but it is awesome especially for us cheese heads. I bake chicken with the creole season. I fry onions and mushrooms in a pan and add the chicken with crumbled bacon and smother it all in cheese. YUM!!! That is my FAVORITE meal. I am bad I know.

It is raining here today but at least it isnt too hot since it is Thursday and I will have lots of baking and donuts going out today.

I will check back later.

Good Day Girls

Got to get groceries today and mail stuff but other than that I hope the sun comes out. I see it trying to peek out. It is only going to be in the lower 60's today! Can you believe summer is almost half over with? Ugh. I want to move by Noelle. It has been so cold here. I got so depressed with the snow last winter. What everyone up to? Any plans for the weekend? And whats for supper? I was thinking something chicken?

Angie that recipe sounds awesome. You know where I live. And I love cheese. It is cheap here and its like I have to have it everyday! And forget the lowfat stuff. I just feel deprived and binge on something. I gotta have the real stuff. I also love fried onions and mushrooms so maybe I will give that recipe a try. The recipe sounds low carb anyway :).
Speaking of cheese hus said he was craving a cheesecake, one of my favorite things in the world. I was thinking of getting my husband to take a decent recent pic and post it in everyone's pm's. I am kind of shy about putting my face on the computer. Yes I am dork, I don't know why I feel that way. Thanks by the way for the compliments. Now if I could only get my head together :dizzy:! I still want to lose more but who knows, I need to firm up thats for sure.

Btw I was thinking on getting a part-time job. I need more adult interaction I was telling hus. Angie or Noelle want to hire me :^: :)? I am not sure what I would do yet. I have office work experience and a certified CNA, but I don't know if I can do that again. It made me feel really sad. But getting out and the extra money would be nice. I would either have my mom, mil, or hus when he gets home watch the kiddos. Well I should go tackle some house work. You guys I have to get to bed earlier also, I love lifetime movies and once I start watching them I can't stop. Plus I watch the Newlyweds. Kinda dumb this season. But I love my T.V. that is for sure. Check back later. Julie

angieME 07-08-2004 02:46 PM

Julie, I am gonna have to start thinking of you at night. We watch the same shows!!! I almost puked last night and I didnt even watch what they did. Just listening to them talk and knowing what was going on. haha I do have to say that I dont like the Ashley Simpson show though. I think she is trying too hard to be different and she cant sing either.

I have to go buy some lace for behind my bed. I dont have a headboard so I want to get lace and drape it like a princess bed from the wall. If I can get it right I will post a pic. I need a new bedspread also. It sucks though because every animal loves my bed so my bedspreads take a beating.

Julie, I think getting a job would be great for you. I am so shy I dont think I would be good at anything outside of the house. I figured it out. People think I am stuckup(at least my husbands cousin told my sis that) I am not though, I am so shy that I think if I dont talk to anyone than they wont notice me and I wont have to try to start a conversation and I guess it comes off as *****y. I didnt know that until recently though. I have so many self esteem issues.

Whats everyone up to today?

chikitababe 07-08-2004 07:18 PM

Hey, I have to confess, I too watch Lifetime movies and the Newlyweds. I saw the episode where they have the lasik surgery done today at 3 pm. I couldn't watch the part where they were doing the actual surgery, it made my stomach flip-flop. I don't know if I am EVER going to get back on track!! I did so good today until dinner when I had a homemade gordita and some junior mints. Honestly, I am soooo tired at the end of the day. I guess watching 7 children from 7 am -5:30 pm will do that to a person, lol. I should make myself walk my 4 miles tonight, but, I don't know if I have the energy at this point.

Hope you ladies are having a good night!

Holly

melekalikimaka 07-08-2004 08:44 PM

Hey girls, how's everyone's day going? My landlord (the BBQ/rotisserie chicken guy) just came over and gave me 3 hot chickens :hun:. They smell so good! These birds sell for around $7.50 if they're fundraising. If any of you come to Hawaii you have got to eat this chicken. It's seasoned just right then roasted over a kiawe wood fire...so ono (yummy). I know what I'm having for dinner tonight.

 Angie, from what you were saying about the Newlywed show I was assuming they were doing something x-rated ....but it was Lasik surgery was it? Well that is something I wouldn't want to watch either...seeing that eyeball roll around  Thanks Holly for clearing that up! ;) Hey Ang, suprisingly enough, I've had 2 days OP and this looks like this will be a 3rd. I've done laundry the past two days but today I will get out and walk. :strong:

Julie, no need to be shy around us. Wow, congrats on your achievement, you are tiny! b*tch* just kidding. You know I love you like a sister. We'd love to see your smiling face. I think getting a p/t job would be good for you too. You'd be welcome to come and do office work with me, however my dear husband has just informed me that the "new girl" will be starting on Monday, full time...I was under the impression that she had to give her current workplace notice, but apparently things change. Oh well, hopefully this will help me get my office back in order--I don't think I've done any filing for a few months! The stacks of paper are almost a foot high, I kid you not.

Holly, taking care of that many kids has to burn calories. DOn't get too down on yourself. Are you still doing WATP tapes? Those seem to work for a lot of people. Did you see the walking thread on the exercise forum here? It got resurrected...once I get back to walking I may head that way again.

Kempy are you gone on vacation now? Have a good one.

Well ladies, I've got to get more estimates out... I'll check y'all out tomorrow.
