I was reading on a thread from the past...(yes I was browsing) and it was about getting a tattoo and another one about having tattoos. Got me wondering...did we ever talk about tattoos here?
Do any of you have one (or more?)
I have two. One on my leg and one on my lower back. May share a photo of them later.
like you Marti I have two, a frog on my leg, story about that is the boys went frog hunting near our house came home with a huge ice cream pail full,,,this is what happens when you work nights and leave your DH in charge. Anyways Tanner had apoblem with leaving them in there,,,yay he let a few out in the house and we never found them. EWWWWWW he loved frogs, still does.
And the other is on my lower back of a Canadian Leaf with the words MADE IN CANADA around it. This was after being in Raleigh NC being the only Canadian in the competition and placing, was my reward. Want more....but only if I lose 50 lbs will I get my next one and then 100 lbs in total will I get my last one.

I have six. Whoo hoo, I win
I have a frog on my left ankle, a kanji on my right ankle, bear paws on my left shoulder, a dream catcher with bear paws in it on my right shoulder, a steer skull in the middle of my lower back, and a cluster of feathers and beads on the left side of my stomach.
One of my best friends from school has a couple of tatoos, and wanted me to get one on my 50th birthday. I was seriously thinking of getting a small Mickey Mouse on my ankle, but then she says it hurts like h**l, so I chickened out. Maybe one of those rub ons? LOL!!
I can tell you jana, that it doesn't hurt at all, I even laughed when I got the one on my stomach because it tickled. It is just an annoying feeling. The only bad part is when it is healing, it feels like a sunburn and itches, which you can't do. Of course everyone has a different threshold for pain, but I didn't think they hurt on bit. I think it is more painful to get a hepatitis shot or measles.
Shanna is right, everyone has a different threshold for pain. I recently went and saw the guy who did both of my tats and I said..."remember how you made me cry?" and he said that I didn't cry...I didn't even budge for one of them! The one on my back "hurt" a bit when it was being done on the sensitive "FAT" on the sides...but that subsided. Plus mine are BIG.....if I can do it YOU can do it too. (no peer pressure here!!)
Had to jump on this one, I too have a tattoo so there ya go Jana. If I can do it anyone can. But I have to had mine is on my left ankle and it DID hurt! I swear it felt like he was scraping bone! Okay, I shouldn't say that. But it was over before you knew it and I am wanting another one (on my left shoulder), just not sure what. While it hurt a little, it really wasn't so bad. My thing is I desperately hate needles and the dentist and this sounded like a day at the dentist. Anyway, mine is a heart w/a rose and our sons name (Nathan) under it. I had always wanted to get a tattoo and was scared also Jana. But while living in Dallas, I went to get my hair cut and the girl that was cutting my hair was talking. She had a small double heart on her ankle and like me was afraid but wanted one. She was afraid it would hurt too. But her friends talked her into doing it. I told her I was wanting one and she said to just do. I actually went into a place and came close to it, but they were so busy and I was a chicken so walked out. Of course at that time I was wanting a sunflower, still do. Who knows, maybe I will get another, or two.
I don't yet have one, but am seriously thinking about it. I am chicken like Jana though! If/when I do, I want green cat eyes on my lower back. I saw a chick with just eyes, and they were cool, but I need to include a cat theme somehow. I think I'm going to try the belly button piercing first. At least it doesn't take as long!
Jen~I was watching a program about Tattoos and saw an eye tattoo. They are cool. Some of those people really went crazy with them and had their whole body covered-OUCH!
