Well hubby and I had a great night out at the movies and let me tell you I'm sick to my stomach lol well not really but I feel like I'm gonna be lol. Too much popcorn and sweets!! But hey we don't get to do something like that very often so we totally endulged and the rest of the month is totally on plan and hard hard working. I'm planning 1.5 hours a day of exercise, maybe not all at once but it should add up to that. I'm bumping up my exercise trying to jumpstart my metabolism even more, since it is extremely sluggish to begin with. I think if I start working out more then I will start seeing some really excellent toning results if not weight loss :) Both my sisters commented on how much weight they can tell I've lost tonight, and it made me feel really good! Well guys I'm sorry not to address everyone but I told taylor I would read her Theres a wocket in my pocket! Love to you all!! Michelle |
Good Morning
Hi ladies. Hope everyone had a good night. 2nd night in a row Andrew ended up in bed with me. I am not going to let this happen. Dh had an upset tummy all night and slept on the couch. But since Andrew was with me, I slept really well. But this pregnancy is already getting to me or it's in my head. I usually don't find out I'm pregnant until I'm like 6-8 weeks which is when some of the early symptons hit me, but goodness I almost didn't get up this morning, that's not good. I just wanted to stay in the bed, but thankfully this is summer and we're not schooling so if I did that wouldn't have been the end of the world. But I needed to make dh's lunch. And I'm starving but don't want to eat anything. Nothing sounds good really.
Well lets see I read all the posts but didn't take notes, I'll see if I remember. Penny, so glad that ds is feeling better. You are gonna be busy this week. Yeah, I can't imagine going all out like that for the 1st b-day, but if it's your tradition then there is nothing wrong with that. My dh can't stand to celebrate b-days so he gets upset if I've invited more than 20 or so. He just thinks it's silly. He's a scrooge anyways. Michelle, so glad you and dh got out. What did y'all see? That's really good for you sometimes and I wouldn't care if you went off plan for a bit, like you said how often do you get to do that, right? Di, glad your back from the busy weekend. Hope you enjoyed it. Well girls is there anything you all can tell me or do to make me get back motivated for life. I haven't even done bills because I don't want to, sad isn't it? I don't want to do anything. I've got to buy groceries today and I'll have all 3 kids, but I have to carefully plan the time so I can also get a nap in. See I have enough stuff for lunch and one dinner. Breakfast is just gonna be a fly by, so maybe I can go this evening after dinner and if dh feels better I can take one kid or so. It's funny how much planning you have to put into something like this. It's a careful strategy. Well, I've got to eat something before I get sick. TTYL |

Good morning to each of you. Mornings around here are like a marathon
:lol: I woke at 6, did 30 minutes of toning (15 of abs, 15 of buns). Then I got 1/2 way through straightening up before Liam woke up and I had to focus on getting his day started. I peeked at the scale this morning and things are still moving in the right direction :) Crystal - sorry things were a little "off" with the party guests. At least the kids enjoyed it and the cake was a hit! Ally's gifts sound great - I know Dora the Explorer is a big deal these days. And I didn't realize they still had My Little Pony - I remember that from childhood :D I totally know what you mean about planning for the grocery store and I only have one!! Ricci - hope you had a great evening. Penny - Glad Nicholas is doing better :) And a tent in the living room sounds like my kind of camping :lol: The first year party sounds like soooo much fun! I was also wondering how long the SAHM thread's been around. I was wondering if the thread number continually goes up, or if it starts over again with 1 at some point. Di - glad the sale went so well - that's awesome! And good for you staying OP. you're doing a great job. Michelle - I'm so glad your sisters mentioned your loss - bet you felt great! I keep wondering at what point others will notice that I've lost. Okay gals, I'm off to do some more online stuff then go on our 2 mile walk. I'm entering a big scrapbooking contest, so I've been trying to think a lot about the album I'll be creating. I'll fill you guys in when I know more. |

Congrats on your sisters noticing your weight loss! 25 lbs is a good bit! :) And I told you about being sick after that popcorn! LOL It is funny how our body works. When we eat the right things we feel great. Leigh, Oh a scrapbooking contest sounds great :) Have you taken in classes? I saw that Hobby Lobby has them. I might check into one. Good Morning girls!!
Well I peeked at the scale this morning and I didn't do too much damage on my Off Plan trip to the movies ;) But I am going to work my butt off this week!! I'm working on a couple of workout routines right now! Just putting them together! Nothing too big planned for today, I have some laundry to fold and put away and dishes to put away and for some reason my dining room table is a mega magnet for trash lol. Leigh - Glad you got some toning in today! Sounds like Liam is starting to wake up earlier cuz you are lol. I remember the other day you felt bad about yelling at him, well, I yelled at both my kids when they were babies not purposely it just happened and I was just strung out, with Taylor I was working graveyards auditing hotels, and I just wasn't getting enough sleep, and short temper got to me, I always cried afterwards and told her how sorry I was and that I didn't mean to. Teagan was kinda the same thing except I wasn't working but I had had 3 surgeries by the time she was 1 month old and I couldnt heal well because I was up and about when I was supposed to be in bed, and I was in pain cuz I wouldn't take my painkillers when I was home alone with the kids. So don't feel bad I think we all lose patience when we aren't getting enough sleep, time to ourselves, or even time to clean our damn houses lol. Just make sure you always apologize and tell them what you are feeling, even though you think they don't understand, I think they do! As for my sisters noticing my loss I wish the inches would leave my tummy so I could get in my next size, that is the only thing holding me back. The legs and butt fit awesome on the pair of jeans which are a small 18. I have bigger 18's that just fall off me I can't keep them up! Hubby felt my arm last night and noticed my muscle, so the resistance training is working! I'm not doing any resistance training today because my arms are still sore from the earlier workouts this week lol. Crystal - I absolutely hate when I felt soo hungry that nothing felt good. It always put me in a grumpy mood lol. Damn hormones. When I was pregnant and someone would mention hormones I would tell them that I had hormones falling out of my ears lol. As for getting motivated for life again, just think, what would a motivating factor for you? For me it was my girls! They were the ones who got me motivated to get my butt in gear and do something! I had to do it for them! So I did! Find something that is just so compelling it makes you want to move!! I hope you start to feel better soon! Well I got a fussy baby this morning, shes just clingy for mommy since being at my sisters last night. She missed me ;) I need to get off here, I think Teagan wants her morning cheerios lol. Poor Will got attacked by misquitos yesterday...he was in the little plastic pool so the bug spray kept washing off...well a big herd (yes, I know mosquitos don't herd but it seemed like it ;) ) came out of the grass...he looks like he has chicken pox!! Oh well, he enjoyed the pool. OK, gotta run! I'll post a long one tonight after WI sometime before bed. See ya and have a great day. |

Good morning all! Sorry I was MIA. I really wanted to keep posting but this weekend wore me out. But it was alot of fun. Ok, I know alot of you are waiting for WI's, LOL. Ok, DH lost 6 lbs!!!! He's down to 286.5, his face is really slimming down first and his pants are about to fall off of him. He's lost almost 20 lbs now in a month. That is really good! And as for me, I'm still stuck. O-well. I am trying harder this week and trying something to shake up my metabolism, so I WILL NOT GIVE UP! :) There were soooo many posts that I was only able to skim them all. Penny welcome back! So glad you are back with us. You left so abruptly that I was worried about you. But glad things are getting under control there for you. My weekend was great. Sat we met dh's parents for breakfast and it was nice. MIL offerend to take the kids for the day so dh and I could go watch a movie. Which was really really nice of her. So we took her up on it, but first we went to good ole days (our towns yearly celebration) and had alot of fun. Lots of neat crafts and such to see. Lots of walking. Live bands, pony rides, etc. The kids enjoyed it. Then we took the kids out to MIL house and went and saw The Day After Tomorrow. It was a pretty good movie. Had a very unique story line going. I enjoyed it. Then we spent the evening at MIL house. Sunday we went back for the day. Kids went swimming and all that with their daddy. I worked on my crochet. It was relaxing. So all in all it was a great weekend. Would have been even better if TOM wasn't crashing the party, LOL ;) But anyway, today I have to attack my house. It's always a pig sty after dh's been here all weekend. But he hasn't left yet. Waiting on his laundry to dry and then he's heading out. So anyway, I just wanted to check in and say hello! I'm so glad it's monday and I plan on a fantastic week being OP and getting in lots of exercise!!! I'll TTYL! |

I totally didn't get up early this morning, and I feel horrible about it! I swear I woke up around 6:15am looked at the clock and said "hey I can rest for another 15 minutes, yeah!" Then I promptly fell back asleep till 7:45! Uhhg. I'll try again tomorrow and when I wake up too early, I'll just schlepp my big butt out of bed this time. Today Logan and Ethan and I are going to go shopping for a new outdoor climber/slide or something with our new found money from the tag sale. I hope I can find something for them that will last a few years. Crystal, I'm sorry you are feeling so down lately. It's sometimes really hard to motivate yourself, I'm sure your body is tired. I read that when you are pregnant, even if you are just laying down resting, your body is working like it's climbing a mountain! So keep that in mind and dont get upset with yourself. If anyone asks what you've been doing, just shout: "Gestating!" Try to focus on the things that must get done, and leave the rest alone for now. You'll get your second wind in a few more weeks, just try and hold out till then. Spryng, sounds like you had a lovely weekend, I'm so glad. Hubby's weight loss is fantastic, you must be really happy for him. I don't think I'll be losing any weight this week. I totally peeked this morning and I haven't budged at all. My weigh in is Thursday so maybe I'll luck out, but it's doubtful. Oh, crud, the boys need me downstairs... Spryng, glad to see you back. Happy you had a nice relaxing weekend with dh. That's definitely needed sometimes. Di, sorry you didn't get up early. I don't think it's a real big deal if you don't. But you will feel better if you do. Geri, sorry about the mosquitos. Hope they heal okay. Well, what have I done today? Other than breakfast and cleaning those dishes up, beds made and a load of laundry in the wash, NOTHING. After all that, I sat on my recliner and fell asleep, Andrew climbed up there and fell asleep. Then the girls woke me so I put Andrew in his bed and I climbed back into the recliner and slept off and on because the girls kept waking me up. But none the less, I slept off and on for almost 2 hours. I can't believe it. It was one of those sleeps that I could NOT awaken from. You know what I mean. Finally they said we're hungry and I heard Andrew so I decided to get up. I think after lunch we may go up town and get a shake or slush or something. I'm nauseus all day so don't anyone say anthing about that last statement, LOL!!! Well I hope you are all more productive today than I am. Can y'all believe that my romantic getaway is in 3 WEEKS!!! I can't wait. Anyways, I'll get off for a bit, and eat lunch. |

Hi again. Having a very good day diet-wise. I earned 4 activity points, so I was able to have a small Coke at lunch (I love Coke!) - with my 5-point roast beef sub at Subway.
Penny - I took an intro scrapbooking class to get me started two years ago, and look how addicted I now am :lol: But, yes, usually an intro class is good because there are lots of things you'll need to know. Michelle - you are like an exercise fanatic. I truly am amazed at your level opf motivation and commitment. My dining room table is a pile-up magnet as well. I can't really figure it out either! Thanks for the insight about patience with the babies - it is hard sometimes. Geri - poor Will! I hate Mosquitos :devil: Spryng - welcome back :cheer: we missed you! 20 lbs in one month???? That's incredible! :bravo: for DH. As for you - at least you're maintaining. What new things are you thinking of trying? I'm glad you had such a wonderful weekend. Di - hi! I know the scale not moving must be frustrating, so it's admirable that you remain OP and working hard :) Crystal - I think the growing baby needs that rest, so it's a good thing! I bet by next trimester you'll find yourself with more energy. When I was pregnant, nothing tasted better than slushy drinks :lol: Okay, I'll be back later. |

Leigh, is it that chicken enchilada with the white sauce? Mmmm.... I love mexican food too. I just finished a meal of asian burritos. They were so good the first time I made them, didn't plan to have them again because I bought all my groceries for this week, but I was going to make Low Country Beef and Rice tonight but realized I forgot one ingrediant! (and it was one I couldn't leave out) so I quickly went through my recipes and realized I still had all the ingrediants for Asian Burritos. So that is what I had for dinner. It really filled me up and hit the spot. Crystal, hey, breakfast, dishes and laundry is doing "something!" lol. You could have let the dishes sit in the sink (or on the table) and not do any laundry, but you have done something today and be proud of that. And I've been like you today, soooo tired. I could barely keep my eyes open before nap time. Dh didn't leave until almost 1:30 pm and as soon as he left I grabbed up Tanner and rocked him out, put the other two down and crashed hard. I drag on the monday after dh leaves. But I did get my living room picked up today, that is all so far. Di, did you find a slide or something today? Sounds like fun! You may still see a loss by thursday. Just keep plugging away and you'll get there! And yes I am very proud of how well my dh is doing with his weightloss. He is very dedicated to it. Well, I did get a bunch of pics taken this weekend. Maybe I'll upload them tonight or tomorrow and post a couple for you all to see. Now that dinner is over I think I just want to relax so I'll get out my crochet stuff. My blanket is coming along well. For being a beginner at this I think it looks great. It's very relaxing anyway. Hi all. I'm checking in while dinner is cooking. The only dinner I had left since I haven't bought groceries. Old Fashioned Green Beans, Southern OVEN Fried Pork chops (didn't have chicken, hope the pork is good), and some seasoned rice. Maybe a salad. Salad doesn't sound totally great to me. Anyways, this afternoon we got out, went to the bank, Eckerds, get gas and Sonic. But I only got a Vanilla Diet Coke, don't be proud though, at Eckerds I got a Pecan Roll. Haven't had one in years and they are SOOO good. Lunch wasn't good either, a chicken sandwich, not grilled and french fries with ketchup. That sounded sooooo good. When you're in this situation, you have to eat whatever sounds good. So many things make me want to puke.
Not that y'all wanted to know that. I'm hoping dh will let me go grocery shopping tonight. If not, that will be a tomorrow thing. Well, I've got to check dinner and my stomach is growling. PS, my sister told me to take Barley Green with Kelp. The Kelp helps thyroid conditions, not that I have one, but the barley green gives you energy and she's pregnant and her midwife told her to take it so I know it's safe, but she and some other ladies said it works bigtime. Almost like a drug, though, you can feel it wearing off. I think I might have to get some though. Has anyone tried it or heard of doing this? I prefer herbs over medicines anyday so I'll give it a try when I can get to VitaminWorld and let y'all know how it works. TTYL |

Crystal _ no, I've never tried or heard of Barley Green with Kelp. Maybe, since you've had morning sickness, you should just do as best you can, but don't try to overdo the diet thing until the morning sickness passes. I think I'm allergic to artificial sweetner! I very rarely had any of it until I began this diet, and I've been having it a lot more. Well, then I noticed I was having heart palpatations and was very congested - like during an allergic reaction. I looked up these symptoms online and onew of the possible causes is an allergy to aspartame. I'm going to cut out all artificial sweetner for several days and see what happens. |

I did in fact find my slide/climber thingy. I almost had a mental breakdown putting the d@mned thing together! It's supposed to snap together, which is fine in theory, but they need to make the parts fit together! I ended up having to file/saw parts of it down and lube up the rest with spray Pam to get it secured. Oh well, the boys seem to like it, but then again they like mud and sticks. :) Ok, i'm being bad today, I don't know why but I'm going off program today. I'm not going to gett too worked up about it, let it go and start fresh tomorrow. don't be too mad at me ladies, ok? Well off to play with the boys more, I'll check in soon, -Di |
Welcome Nagsalot!! I'm Michelle sahm to 2 yo Taylor and 7 month old Teagan! I am on South Beach Diet, and exercise 6 days a week approximately. You sound as if you have your program pretty well outlined!! Way to go!! Hope to get to know you better!
Leigh - Wow I hope you are ok!! Palpatations aren't a good thing. I get ekg's every six months because I have them too. But I also have a pretty prominent heart murmur. I hope you had a good day!! Dinner sounded good. I had soft tacos and ate at about 3 pm. Crystal - I never heard of that either, but as with anything, I always always check with my doctor before taking. Just my 2 cents. I think that it is especially important during pregnancy, and all people are different, whats good for one may not be good for the others. For nausea when I was pregnant, I had to be put on zofran, and phenergan and went in for phenergan injections because I lost 25lbs just from morning sickness. My doctor recommended to me to drink slimfast, it helped a little bit, and was easier for my stomach to absorb as well as getting some vitamins in. That pecan roll sounded good!! Spryng - Glad you had a great relaxing weekend!! Hubby is doing awesome!!! I can't wait to see your pictures!! Well I need to get motivated to get my workout in! I've been pretty tired today as well. Hi Nags... I'm Crystal, sahm of 3, expecting 4th. 5yo, 3yo, 18 months and expecting the 4th sometime in February. I just found out a couple of weeks ago. Anyways, I live in Texas and I homeschool. I joined here and was doing well then found out my news but I wanted to stay on board and make this the healthiest pregnancy possible. Plus, this is addictive and I couldn't imagine leaving. Anyways, so glad you are here and I hope to learn more about you. I am so sorry to hear that you and dh are so far apart. Of course, that may make a marriage stronger in some cases. Your situation will be in my prayers so maybe that will help you in some way. Well, my pregnancy has me really down right now. I'm nauseus all day, have no motivation and keep getting headaches. I'll try not to complain too much. But glad you're here. Hope everyone else is doing well. I'll try to be back, if not, in the morning. Hey, I did get to buy groceries with NO kids at all. YEAH!!! |

I don't even remember if I have posted today!! Seth got his cast on so I think I can relax a bit now. I have been running around town all day long, and I am ready for some peace. Nagsalot...welcome!! I am Cindi, mom to 7, and you have found a great place to visit and get support. Post often, the rest of us do!! LOL!! Di...I won't be mad at you if you won't be mad at me for yet another day without exercise. DEAL???? DEAL!!!!! Leigh, I hope you are okay! Spryng...Congrats to your dh, he is doing quite well!! I know you are hoping for a loss, but don't give up. It will happen, just be so proud of how far you have come!! Crystal...It's hard dieting while PG. I had to diet due to gestational diabetes and add those hormones of motherhood and you have one obsessed crazy lady. I dreamed of food I couldn't have and all kinds of cray stuff. I even came out of the grocery store crying a few times because I couldn't have what I wanted and couldn't find a suitable substitute. But I just had to keep reminding myself that my baby was worth whatever I had to do to get him here healthy. Have what you want, in moderation. Just do what you can to take care of both of you. I ate well, I seem to have that mostly under control. Of course there is always room for improvement, but my weak area is water. And that dreaded E word...I know I will feel so great when I get into it, it's just getting started with all the craziness in my life now. To anyone I missed!! Last week I had the heat on to take the chill out of the air and today I had to turn the air on 'cause it's near freakin' 90 degrees and humid. Gotta love Wisconsin!! I'll be able to open the windows back up in a couple of days when it cools off. If Will would stop running all over the yard he wouldn't get so many mosquito bites...but try telling a 3 yo boy to stay put :lol: :lol3: I'm cracking myself up here! WI was good for me. We had 15 people WI tonight (I go to a TOPS meeting on Monday for WI)...losses were 4.5 lbs and gains were 25.5 lbs :o :o !! Those holiday's really screw some of these ladies up! I was thankfully one of the losers...I'm down a lb...great considering how I've been eating lately. I'm going to try to be better but at least I'll keep up the exercise to offset. I did get a 10 mile bike ride in yesterday...can't remember if I said that or not. Ok, time to get off of here and get something done. I'll pop in again tomorrow. Geri congrats on the lb down!!! That is great. How is the exercise going? Have you been able to enjoy your deck lately? And you are right about my plateau, I shouldn't worry about it. But you know, I AM 10 lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant with my 1st baby, so I should be happy!! And I am! :) My MIL complimented me this past weekend on how good I look. She never does that, and that was the same day she offered to watch the kids so DH and I could get some alone time. I think she and I are finally building something together. I don't want to call it a friendship yet, so I won't jinx it, lol. But I'm liking the progress she and I are making. Cindi, my weak area is water and the "E" word too, lol. But I'm trying. I know if I want to keep this weight off I need to increase my exercise. I have to admit I'm ready to stop counting pts all together. I'm thinking when I hit my personal goal I may stop journalling and just try to do it on my own. It's scary thinking about it but I don't want to count pts the rest of my life, does that sound wrong? I am Spryng (pronouced spring, like the season) mother of 3. (Ava 4, Bubba 3, and Tanner 11 1/2 months) I'm on weight watchers and hit my goal in april. Now I am working on my personal goal weight but I'm in a stall at the moment and have been for the past 7 weeks or so. Sounds like you have a great plan for yourself, I look forward to getting to know you better and please feel free to post often! oh and my DH is gone quite a bit too, not as much as yours though. He is a over the road truck driver and only comes home every two weeks for a weekend. So I can kinda relate to you raising your kids alone. Well I got my 4 mile walk in and 15 minutes of floor toning exercises and 15 minutes of resistance training :D Woo hoo!! I really didn't feel like doing it but I made myself get up. Girls I really hate when I start feeling sluggish like that I wish that there was something they could do about it *sigh* ;) But thats the life of a thyroid patient lol. I was also having a few chest pains today I didn't call my doc but they did go away, I'll just tell him next time I see him. I'm wicked nervous that he'll put me on steroids again ugghhhh. So anyway lol, I got 1.5 hours of exercise in today, I'm doing pretty good in that aspect yipee!! Spryng - Yes we did go see Harry Potter and it was a great movie!! But I wouldnt take a child under 7 years old to it unless they are pretty mature, It had some freaky parts in it. But I loved it!! I can't wait for the next book or the next movie! Geri - Yes I got my walk in FINALLY!! lol I was draggin butt today so I went for a nap and hubby decided he wanted some nookie and then I fell fast asleep for 2 hours!! I woke up at 6 lol then laid around a little more and then finally just had to get up and make myself do my workout. I feel better now though I should have just got it done earlier in the day! Way to go on the 1lb down!! Thank god we don't have misquitos too badly here. I have a question though, what about babies? can you put repellent on them? I'm afraid to put it on Teagan and then have her put her hand in her mouth or something. Ricci - I hope everything is going good with you! I hope your monitor didn't die on you. Hi all. Sorry I didn't get back here last night. Just went to bed as soon as the possiblity came open. I slept all night in my bed with dh. Andrew didn't wake up all night. But because I slept in my bed all night and I'm not used to it, my back is killing me. So I slept light and I remember tossing and turning although there were some times that I stayed in the position I was from fear of making noise and waking Andrew up. But I popped right up this morning. Still have a weak stomach, but didn't mind getting up. I don't have much to do today besides laundry, so I will nap.
Lisa (Nags), we have another Lisa that comes around sometimes, don't think I've seen her around lately though. Anyways, the Kelloggs, it shows 14g of Carbs and 5g of Fiber, you deduct your fiber from the carbs and that gives you 9g. The other carbs at 7g, my guess, is the good carbs. You have good and bad carbs, you'll notice that everything says NET carbs, these are the ones that effect you. But you always deduct the fiber from it. If there is sugar alcohol, you deduct that too. So, glad you're enjoying it here. Sounds like you've got everything planned out perfectly. You really have a plan we'll help you stick to it. Before I got preg. I was counting calories. I never did fat grams, but calories I liked to stay under 1500. So how much weight are you wanting to lose? You may have told us, but I don't remember. Spryng, glad you got some energy back yesterday, pass some through the computer for me, please. Michelle, you're doing good girl. Keep up the good work. Hi Geri. Cindi, the water thing was always hard for me. Let me tell you what I did to help. I would buy bottled water, like the separate bottles and refrigerate them, that way I ALWAYS had cold water on hand, if I was walking out the door I'd grab one. I'd refill the bottles instead of buying more. And one bottle is about 2 glasses, so there you are. And that helped my kids drink more water, they thought they were big with their very own bottle of water. It really did help me and them. Well girls. I think I'm gonna try a banana. I'm starving. Hi Lisa! Nice to meet you. I am Leigh, SAHM to my six-month-old, Liam and married for 2 years to a wonderful DH. I think you'll find this group as supportive as they come - at least, I sure do :) Glad you've been OP - you created your diet and exercise plan yourself, right? Sounds great. I'm on Weight Watchers. I'm not sure about the cereal - did they advertise it as "net" carbs? I hear that a lot, but am not sure what it means :?: n(oh, never mind - Crystal explained it!) Di - having an off day now and then is par for the course. I sure have my fair share :lol: But it sounds like you have the right attitude about it. Michelle - I had palpitations while pregnant and then for the first two months after Liam was born. I suspected they were linked to the preeclampsia, but doctors won't say that - I guess there's no real evidence for it, just my own hunch. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this time it's allergy related because I took Claratin and feel 99% better. You are still reigning queen of exercise - :bravo: Cindi - hi! Glad yoy can relax more with the cast. I think I'll be fine, but will, of course, call my doc if it continues. How did Seth react to the cast? Crystal - hope you're somehow feeling less queasy today. Penny be sure to take the camera!!! Everyone is hounding me to get Tanner's hair cut. It's not really long but comes down over his ears and my MIL keeps saying he looks like a girl, but I am just not ready for that first hair cut. My baby is already growing up too fast, I don't want him to look like a toddler yet. I hope you feel better today. Leigh, aren't you glad we don't have to keep up with net carbs? lol. Sometimes I'll buy those low carb tortillas because they are whole wheat but only 1 pt because of the high fiber content. But other than that I don't really do anything low carb. And I don't know what is making MIL act better towards me. Maybe she just finally realized I'm not going anywhere? lol I don't know what it is but it's a good thing so I am grateful. It's so nice to go over there and visit without all the tension or bickering. What is for dinner? Crystal, I hope today is a good day for you. With my first two I had morning sickness pretty much the whole 1st trimester (but only in the mornings) and with Tanner I had it for 9 days!! I was grateful for that since I had two kids to take care of and didn't have time to be running to the bathroom much. So I hope yours doesn't last long either. Lisa, yes Crystal is right about the cereal, everything goes by net carbs now. When I did Atkins (so many times) they weren't into the net carb thing so you only counted what it said on the box without deducting anything. It was much simpler. Now I guess "net carbs" allows you to eat more but it's alot of counting. But not unlike WW in that matter. And I use the FF promise too. I don't like the taste much but it is ok on toast with jelly. I use the ff spray butter for my veggies and potatoes and such though and it tastes more like butter. Yes and the thing about low fat is exactly what you said about it being loaded with extra carbs and sugar. When they take something out, like fat, they try adding things to make up for the flavor loss which is usually sugars. So yes we have to watch that closely. When is your official weigh in day?? I think you are going to lose great. Michelle, I get my ff promise at walmart. But I think my local grocery store carries it too. Hope you get some more energy today. Can you take a vitamin that helps with energy? There is one at walmart I used to take, I think it was by one a day, can't remember, but it said energy on the label. It really helped me. I took it everyday after my second baby was born since my first two were only 11 months apart I needed all the extra energy I could get. And about bug repellent, the label should say if it's safe for kids. They may make one especially for kids but you'd have to look. ok, so what is everyone planning for dinner tonight? I think I am making fish but I have a question. My recipe calls for white fish but I bought salmon (it was cheaper) so do I bake it the same amount of time as it called for the white fish or does salmon have to be treated differently? I've never had it or cooked it so I am clueless. So any advice would be appreciated. So I am planning on having spiced salmon (unless the cooking is way off) then I'll make mexican stuffed pitas. Other than dinner I plan on catching up on my flylady stuff today. This week's zone is the kitchen so I plan on getting 15 min of work done in it plus one of Kelly's missions (which will be cleaning the top of my fridge) I thought about going a renting a couple of movies today since new ones are out today but that depends if I feel like it when the movie place opens at 10 am. If you don't get there when it opens those new releases will be gone. They never carry enough. OK, guess I need to get off here and get my bed made and me in the shower. TTYL! |

Lisa - How funny, I already buy a lot of the same stuff you do!! I buy my chicken frozen I get 4 lbs of chicken breast for 9.99 Since I'm the only one who eats it at my house I just take one out and defrost it. I use I can't believe its not butter spray same deal as the parkay spray, Hellmans fat free mayo and I'll add just a little bit of splenda and it tastes like Miracle whip, I was drinking crystal light but my doc said that once you add something to your water even if it is very low in calories it doesnt count as your water any longer, so I just drink plain water I usually get 128 oz in a day! As for the carbs in cereal, you can deduct the fiber to get the net carbs, the reason for this is that fiber does not impact your blood sugar and passes right through, now I know someone said that you can deduct sugar alcohols too BUT you really shouldnt they have been known to cause Blood sugar spikes, they also have some very unpleasant side effects, I recommend limiting your intake of anything with sugar alcohol in it and I always count sugar alcohols as a carb! The FDA is working on changing the way manufacturers display that on their lables! Yayyyy!! Crystal - I need some energy too girl I was just dragging butt yesterday and I have a feeling that today will be the same grrrr. I hope you get to feeling better soon!! Have you tried the motion sickness wrist bands? I used them when I was preg. but my nausea was too bad so they didn't help but perhaps they may help you :) Just a thought! Leigh - I had palpatations when I was preg too, but I had PIH and my thyroid could have caused them too since at that time I was producing mass amounts of hormone my doc was just simply amazed I didn't have like a heart attack while I was pregnant, thats how high my levels were! Thank god that I didnt!! I'm glad you feel better!! Penny - Have fun at Andrews first haircut! I hope you start feeling better!! Walking today? I'm planning 4-6 miles not sure yet. Nothing big planned for me either today. I finished laundry yesterday, and the house is still clean except for the toys on the floor that Teagan and Taylor are playing with. Spryng - We were posting together! As for the vitamin, I take a daily childrens vitamin and it holds the same nutritional value for a child as it does an adult. But I try not to take too many supplements because I don't want to mess up my metabolism any more than it is already ya know? I asked my doc if I could take no dose or vivarin but she said she wouldn't recommend it because my body will come to rely on those things for its energy and my metabolism will go south anytime I'm not on them, so basically I just jump start my metabolism with all the exercise I've been doing lol, I'd rather my body come to expect energy rather than supplements lol. Dinner tonight? Hmmm I think I'll have italian chicken and zucchini.
