Don't Forget To Go Back To #91 And Read The Last Few Posts There!! ;)

bootwoman 06-02-2004 10:04 AM

I posted to everyone and then it said the thread was closed. It must have been while Sherry was starting a new one. I'll try to re-post it later!

gdeann 06-02-2004 12:08 PM

I voted blush, only because at least it adds a glow to the face. I NEED all of it!!!!!

Ramona and Vicki, I switched over to the Bare Escentuals and I LOVE it! I have the foundation, minerial veil, bisque, glee and warmth. I mix the glee and warmth together to create eye color and blush. Today I even mixed some with a bit of vaseline to get a lip gloss! I can't believe the coverage, it even covers my freckles!

Jennelle 06-02-2004 12:15 PM

Who's the other one who doesn't wear makeup?

bootwoman 06-02-2004 01:03 PM

Okay, I'm going to try and re-create the post I lost earlier.

Shelley, I failed to wish you a happy birthday so....HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I did remember, I just wasn't very good about getting it posted. SORRY!

Sherry, I was also wondering about your house. Will you put it on the market after you move, or are you having to deal with that right now too? My neice who just graduated from college in Nashville has moved to an apartment in Donelson. Is that where you are moving? I hope the new medicine helps Wayne and he will be good as new soon. Don't worry about those pounds. Stress will do that to you. I'll cheer for you if you'll cheer for me and we'll both get back in the game.

Thank you all for the compliments on the picture. I was pleased with how it turned out. As far as the "wild hair" thing.....well, let's just say I don't look anything like that picture now. I've gotten mixed reviews, but I needed a complete change and that's certainly what I got! I'll try and post a picture this week and see what you guys think.

I wanted to ask your opinion on something. After we left the funeral home, my dad handed me a velvet bag with my mom's wedding set in it. It is a simple 1 carat marquise with baguettes on the side so it isn't something that screams out "look at me". It is just a simple elegant ring. I've been wearing it on my right hand ever since. Some people seem to think it is creepy, but I think it shows honor for the person. What do you guys think?

Well, I'm the only person in CID working today so I better act busy in case I have any "customers" come in. hahaha

Talk to you later girls.

gdeann 06-02-2004 02:45 PM

I agree with you Ramona. If the ring held a dear place in your moms heart, then it belongs on your hand. I'm sure your dad feels the same way since he gave it to you.
My mom gave Liz my dads wedding band just about six months ago. She had it sized and wears it as a simple gold band on her right hand. It makes me feel good to know she wants a part of her grandad with her even if she really can't remember too much about him. After my dad passed away, my mom took her old wedding set and the present set she was wearing in to the jewelers and had a new ring made from the gold and diamonds. She was tired of the comments made by some because she wanted to still wear her wedding rings after dad was gone. With the new ring she still feels like she is holding on to her memories and keeping her wedding set with her, but in a different way now. Please just do whatever gives you comfort and ignore any negative comments by others.

Jennelle 06-02-2004 03:20 PM

Ramona, for years after my grandmother died, my grandfather wore her wedding set on a gold chain around his neck. It just made him feel close to her, I think.

How you handle your mom's passing - including how you decide to wear her jewelry - is no one's business but your own. If it makes them feel "creepy," so what? She was your mom. You remember her how you need to. (And for the record, I don't think it's creepy at all!) :grouphug:

4myloves 06-02-2004 03:23 PM

Ramona--wear it proudly! Can't wait to see your new pic--you are lovely. And your men don't hurt the eyes, either!

Gayle--I'm glad your mom found a solution to keeping her wedding set. Seems to me like people should mind their own business when it comes to things like that--who are we to put a time limit on how long a person wears their love for someone else?
OH--and did you get to drink any beer while you were camping? Don't consume the nasty stuff myself, but, hey! whatever it takes to make those wild outdoors bearable. And, while I'm on the subject, how does one camp without hills or mountains?

Jennelle--I would be the other bare-faced Floozie. Can't stand the stuff, makes me feel icky.

Hello to all my other Floozie friends!

bootwoman 06-02-2004 03:55 PM

Gayle, I meant to tell you that I'm so glad you are happy with the B.E. makeup. It is absoulutely the best stuff out there in my opinion. It feels like wearing nothing at all! Oh, if you get the chance, you might want to order some of the "buzz latte" lip balm. You can dip it in the glee or warmth and it makes a wonderful light lipstick. You can really use any stick lip balm, but the buzz is soooooo yummy!

Thanks for all the feedback on the ring. I will wear it always with pride and with love.

Okay girls, I'm trying to get back on track and get this weight off. I don't feel like I can just jump in with both feet right now, so I'm starting by once again giving up the soft drinks (I was drinking several Dr. Peppers at night to stay awake) and I'm guzzling the water. That's all I want to tackle for now. I'm just going to take baby steps.

We have just two more days with Ben so we are going to Little Rock tonight and we're taking him to Shogun's to eat. It is almost as much fun watching the Japanese Chef prepare the food as it is to eat it!

Talk to you all later.....

ShelleyM 06-02-2004 07:04 PM

Ramona-Wear the ring proudly! I have worn my grandma's wedding ring for years. Also, I have several of my aunt's jewelry that I wear often. Just be sure it fits right. I will never forgive myself. After my aunt died, I got a pinky ring that for years she said she was going to will to me. I was wearing it one day, then I noticed it missing off my finger. I looked everywhere. That was over 7 years ago, and I am still beating myself up over it. I will miss the ring forever, especially since she wanted me to have it.

Hello Gals

how is everyone tonite...

Sorry just catching up on everything here..
Had a busy wk/end with Cara's party which believe it or not turned out great.
Didn't have to kill any of the IL's which was a miracle...They behaved well.
None of my side of the family was there but what did i expect.

Mom has moved to her new home and is close to Dad and my youngest sister and she seems to like it. My dad has to get his car fixed some little old lady backed out of her spot and hit him...If it doesn't rain it pours for my poor family....

Sher & Deb...sounds like you had a good cookout.
Gayle...Hey did you drink some beer for me also.!!!!!!
Shelley ...Happy Belated Birthday and i heard that the Fl weather was unbearable with no rain.. I will give you ours. We have had Tornado Warnings and plenty of rain.
My niece and her Dad were in the tornado in Indiana but came out of it OK. This is the one who was hit by drunk driver. So glad nothing happened to her.

Well i am tired and going to chill and read my book.

Later all my friends i didn't get to tonite...

Love you all

Vicki

gdeann 06-03-2004 12:09 AM

Cheryl, give us Kansans a flat area of ground, a creek or pond to go fishing in, a cooler full of beer and we make do! I HATE to camp out, but my brother wanted to do this with all of the kids. So, being the lovely parents we are, we "sucked" it up and had the big "sleepover". I'm happy we did it now, today hail came through and wiped out my brothers soybean crop.

Vickster, nice to hear from you! Post pics when you can!!!!

Ramona, I found a neat web site that I ordered the BE from. They offer the full size product plus half sizes. They ship out within 24 hours, I had my order in a matter of a few days. I can already tell the warmth and glee are going to last me forever!!! Do you use anything under your eyes to help with darkness? I purchased some of the bisque, but I need to invest in a small concealer brush. I'm trying to apply everything with the all purpose brush.

Shelley, I'm sorry to hear about you losing a ring so precious to you. One never knows, I've read before about people finding a piece of jewelry after years of being misplaced or lost.

We had a wind storm come through today along with rain and hail. The high wind derailed a train and blew a semi off the highway and over into a field, I think it must of been a small twister. This happened about 15 miles from our house.

ShelleyM 06-03-2004 05:24 AM

Vicki-I'm glad the grad stuff turned out great! I hope Cara got lots of money to help out in her college years.

I am feeling like I may have lost a lb. or 2 this week. I hope it keeps up. I have been running quite a bit, even though the weather is so hot. I'm trying to get ready for another 1/2 in Jan. (the same one I ran last Jan.) The bottom of my left foot is pretty sore, though. I am hoping that I don't have plantar whatever it's called.

Sherry 06-03-2004 08:21 AM

Good Mornin'

I'm about to leave to go to Ky to Mom & Dad's. We will be setting up the yard sale all day & pricing items. Tomorrow & Saturday will be the sale. I will be spending the night tonight & Friday night. I won't be home until Saturday afternoon. Since Mom doesn't have a computer, I can't check in with ya'll until I get home.

Ramona....I do live in Donelson & will be moving to Donelson also. Our new home is only about 5 miles from here. BTW: Our house has sold!! We gave the new owners 30 days so we could be moved out.

Shelley....If School is out...Why the heck are you up at 4:30am???!!!!

To All My Floozie Friends....Gotta go.....Be Good, Take Care & I'll Miss Ya!!!! See you on Saturday afternoon!!!

BIG HUGS!!!!!!!!!

Deelite 06-03-2004 11:12 AM

Good Morning

I am just checking in. I wanted to let you know that I am alive and trying to kick. I will try to post more later. The anniversary was fantastic. I will give more details next post. I am trying to recover and have a lot of leg pain. Mom has had some health issues to since the anniversary that is keeping me busy. It is also finally warmed up and I am spending my time out doors or just resting in the pool house. We have a fouton, table and fridge in there. I can watch the birds feed at the feeders and enjoy the many spring flowers that are blooming.

Hopefully I will post more this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon. I love you all.

DEE

ShelleyM 06-03-2004 06:58 PM

Sherry-School's out, but I'm still working! I still have to be there at 7:AM. I am so happy for you that you sold the house already! No wonder you have been working so hard at trying to get in the new one.

Dee-Enjoy your time relaxing and recovering from the party.

ShelleyM 06-04-2004 05:24 AM

Gayle,Ramona,Vicki-I saw the Bare Minerals thing on TV. Where did you order your products? I went to bareminerals.com, but can't decide what would be the best for me, if I should decide to try them.

gdeann 06-04-2004 09:40 AM

Shelley, I found a neat site to order from. You can get the stuff in full size or half size. It's the same price as through the BE site or QVC, plus this company ships out within 24 hours. I had a question at the bottom of my order and the girl actually called me back! I ordered the foundation, glee, warmth, bisque, minerial veil and the all purpose brush. I mix the glee and warmth to use as eyeshadow and blush and I use the bisque for discolorations and under eye darkness. Honestly, the half sizes of glee and warmth will last me forever! You use so little of the product. If I had it to do over again, I probably would of ordered the full size of minerial veil, its great stuff after you know what your doing with it! I will send you the site address later today.

gdeann 06-04-2004 09:42 AM

I forgot to mention Shelley, if you pick the wrong foundation shade, then you can use some of the bisque to lighten or the warmth to darken the shade.

ShelleyM 06-04-2004 05:14 PM

Gayle-Did you order separately or as a kit?

bootwoman 06-04-2004 05:48 PM

Well, you guys are not going to let me come here anymore if I don't have some good news for a change, so I'll make this short and sweet.

We haven't heard from Daniel in 6 weeks and I got word today that he has been in the hospital. He somehow fell and hit his head on a rock and had a seizure. That's all I know, but I'm hoping to hear from him sometime this weekend.

I haven't said anything, but Rick has been having some problems and I finally got him to the doctor on Monday. She called today and basically said he is a heart attack waiting to happen. His blood presure is high even on his meds and his cholesterol is through the roof. I got her to agree to let me try and bring it down through diet and then if that doesn't work, we'll get the medicine. On the up side, I'll be eating the same things he will so in a few months I should be one skinny chick!!! hahaha

WEll, that's all the good news for today! I've got to get busy and go through some of my mother's things for my dad. I hope you all have a nice weekend and NO BAD NEWS!

ShelleyM 06-04-2004 06:08 PM

Ramona-Please don't feel like you can't say anything to us! We are here for you through thick and thin. It's no wonder about Rick though. The same with you. You are both going through such turmoil right now that I am worried about your health also. Please take care of you both! I love you!

mzbhavin 06-04-2004 06:49 PM

Shelley...You also can buy BE. on ebay. it sometimes is a little cheaper and i have always gotten a good quantity..The nice thing about BE is you don't need a whole lot and it lasts forever....

Will be back later...

Vicki

Deelite 06-06-2004 09:31 AM

Ramona we are here for you in good times and in bad! You girls have all been here for me in the bad, and I really appreciate that. I hope that you hear good news about Daniel soon. Good luck helping Rick get down his cholesterol and blood pressure. You are in my prayers.

Can't sit long this morning but know that I am thinking of you all.

Carol101 06-06-2004 10:11 AM

Good Morning

Just a quick note as I have my 12 & 13 year old granddaughters staying with me this weekend and we are keeping busy, busy, busy.

Ramona: We will be here for you through thick and thin. Try to focus on the good things in your life. Daniel is where he needs to be right now so he is being taken care of. You discovered Rick's health problems before anything happened, so you can find the right course of action and deal with it. Hang in there!!! Thinking of you and yours!

I hope everyone else is having a great weekend. It has been lovely weather here so far. We went to a baseball game on Friday night. Ran all kinds of errands yesterday, cooked out and I am taking the girls to the mall and to see the new Harry Potter movie today. That should be fun! (I told you I was busy this weekend!)

I will check back later.

ShelleyM 06-07-2004 05:23 AM

Carol-I love your new avatar!

Everyone must be extremely busy! I have decided to paint the inside of my house on my vacation. Would you believe that we have lived here for 17 years and never painted? You can imagine how bad it looks. I am going to start on the living room, then hopefully get to the kitchen to put new wallpaper in it. What color does everyone have in your living rooms? Mine is white, but my doors and woodwork is dark brown. I am thinking about maybe off white. We are going to add wood flooring within the next 6 mos. also, so I don't want the walls to be starke white. Any other color suggestions? I have a rather country french type look. My couch is a pewter-beige velvet with mauve flowers.

DebbieA 06-07-2004 08:45 AM

Morning Girls:wave:

I agree with Shelley, everyone must be really busy. Hopefully it is with some fun stuff too.

Shelley....Sherry must have inspired you...LOL. My living room is a chalk beige. We did a basic color because it was before we bought new furniture.

Sherry....Are you still painting? I know you will be glad when everything is done and you have some time to enjoy your summer. Please promise to take a day off soon and come up and lounge by the pool. Hopefully we will have some hot weather soon.

Ramona....Don't you wonder sometimes how much we can take? But hopefully the problems with Rick were caught in time. Did the doctor put him on a stitch diet and meds? How long will Daniel be in the hospital?

Carol...Sounds like you had a busy fun weekend with the girls. How is the OP going? I think I am trying out the maintance plan...LOL. Haven't lost anything in 3 weeks.

Hugs to all my Floozie friends. Hope you all are happy and well and can pop in to say hi from time to time.

~~Labor Day count down~~
9 days down~~89 to go

Sherry 06-07-2004 09:15 AM

Good Mornin'

I'm backkkk!!! (If anyone noticed I was gone...lol). Our yard sale went very well. Mom made $255.00...Dad made $300.00 and I made $190.00. This was pretty good considering we didn't have any big items. Everything was small stuff. I took my money and added almost $100.00 and bought a new patio set for our new deck!! :D

Actually I got home late Saturday night. Drew & I pressure washed our new deck. My arm is still sore this morning!!

Today I'm going to paint the hallway. Then we'll have 1 bedroom and the kitchen left!!! :cp: I can't wait to get moved in!!

Monday weigh-in: I lost 1 lb!!!!!! I'm at 170 today! I figured I probably sweated that pound off!!

Shelley,
Have fun painting!! It's really fun!! NOT!!!!! It will wear you out! Especially when you do the whole house! With the colors you decribed, I would go with a light tan color for the walls. It will look so pretty. I went with a silver color..."Silver Pebble" It's so pretty. Let me know what you went with.

Debbie,
I'm taking a day off this week. I'll either be at your house or at Lynsey's. I'm starting to get ill with everyone...I need to rest. This **** has been going on too long!! I want to get moved in!

Carol,
Hope you had a great weekend with the Grandkids! How was Harry Potter? Chris & his girlfriend went yesterday to see it. Are you still trying WW and staying OP?

Ramona,
Bless your heart!! I hope nothing but good things come your way from here on out! Have you heard from Daniel? How's his head? Also..Take care of Rick and cook only good things for him. Take care sweetie!!

Dee,
How's your back this morning? If you can...Just lay around the pool and get well soon!! I miss the 'ole Dee!! Love ya!!

To everyone else.....Hugs! Post soon!!

Gotta get busy....Love ya!!!

DebbieA 06-07-2004 10:50 AM

WTG Sherry on the 1 pound lost!!! :cb: :dancer:

I know you lost it the hard way...LOL. Working it off!!

I stayed the same this week..AGAIN!! I'm going to work really hard this week. I really want that 20 chick. :)

gdeann 06-07-2004 01:29 PM

Sher, congrats on the weight loss!!!!! You have been working your butt off! I bet you will be so relieved to finally get settled in!

Shelley, I have most of my walls painted antique white, I decorate with naturals colors, then I can add a pop of color here or there as I wish. I try to keep my walls simple and then use my furniture in patterns such as florals etc. to bring it all together. Although...if I ever have time, I have a few spots picked on my walls to paint an urn with flowers or a topiary. I just picked out a new kitchen curtain with a vineyard type pattern of all kinds of fruit. One of these days, I'm going to grab my brush and paints and paint a fruit garland above my doorway.

Dee, how are you today! Enjoy the poolhouse!

Deb, are you guys spending every free minute in the pool? We are finally having summer here, in fact it seems to be hotter then usual.

Carol, did you enjoy the movie? Allison wants to go see Schrek 2, I'm hoping this next week I can take her.

ramona, i hope you hear from Dan soon. It must be some sense of relief to you to know he's safe in a hospital somewhere. How are you and Rick doing with the new eating plan?

Have any of you guys seen Duplex? It has Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore in it. It's a dark comedy and really cute! We watched it this weekend, it probably would be better to see it all in one sitting. We had some other stuff come up and went a few days in between watching all of it.

I'm sorry if I'm not checking in much, I'm just kinda down in the dumps with things going on right now (too much to even go into...) I'm also working on some auction items to donate to a local benefit auction coming up soon.

ShelleyM 06-07-2004 05:45 PM

WTG Sherry! 1 lb is great!

Summer school started today. Ugh! The minute I got to school at 7:AM they were calling about buses. I'm so glad I'll be gone next week!

bootwoman 06-07-2004 06:57 PM

Sherry, the paint color sounds lovely. I hope you will be able to post some pictures so we can see the how beautiful everything turns out. Congrats on the pound lost!!!

Debbie, can I come lounge by the pool too???? PLEEEEASE???

Shelley, I would probably go with a toasty taupe color and a crisp white trim. Whatever you decide, I know it will be beautiful.

Dee, I'm so happy that your parents' party went well. I know it must have been a lot of work, but well worth it!

Carol, did you have a good time with the girls? How was the movie?

I finally got a call from Daniel this morning. He was in the hospital 2 weeks ago, but is doing okay now. He still has a knot on his head and it is sore. His base was a car bomb go off at the gate next to his yesterday. He had to start IV's on 8 Iraqis, one of them a child. He said it was really gruesome and they are expecting it to get much worse. Thank you all for asking about him.

I am having a carport sale this weekend....my first in 20 years! I am CLEAN SWEEPING this house. If it isn't nailed down, it's going in the sale! hahaha
I hope to make 2 or 3 hundred dollars and then we are going to take a weekend and go to Branson. I actually have several pieces of furniture, so maybe I'll make even more.

Well, I've got chicken on the grill, so I better go tend to it.

I hope all my other Floozie friends have a nice evening!

bootwoman 06-07-2004 07:00 PM

Gayle, we were posting at the same time. I'm sorry you aren't feeling happy. Is there anything I can do? If you need to "talk", just let me know. You have been so kind and so good to help me. I hope I can return the favor. Love you!

And by the way Sherry........OF COURSE WE NOTICED YOU WERE GONE!!!! AND WE MISSED YOU!!!

ShelleyM 06-08-2004 05:28 AM

Gayle-I didn't see your post! Please if there is anything that you want to talk about, feel free to PM or email me. I love you!! BTW, can you come to Ft Myers and paint a mural on my walls?? LOL!! I would love to be able to have your wonderful artistic talent.

Ramona-I'm so glad you heard from Daniel. I am keeping you in my prayers at all times.

mzbhavin 06-08-2004 07:34 AM

Hey Snugs ...anytime you need to talk i am here and you know i will help. You have been there many times for me and that's what friends do.

Will check in later this evening and everyone have a good one.

Finally....

Mom and Dad's 50th.

We celebrated mom and dad's 50th on May 29 at a hall in a small town five miles south from their home. Mom had her hair and make up done by professionals only to be redone by me. She wasn't happy with either of the jobs. Mom looked beautiful and Dad was looked strong and charming. The hall was decorated elagantly with white tooling with mini lights twinkling, lots of golden accents, white and red roses center pieces, candles burning on gold dolies, and for a bit of fun, gold fish in rose bowls. I had suggested the gold fish to symbolize Golden Years, mom and dad thought that would be original so they went with it. The atmosphere was magical with all the gold glittering while a live band playing olden music. We had 77 guest for dinner. Our meal consisted of coleslaw, roast beef, meat balls, perogys, cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed veggies, fresh rolls and nicely finished off with a blueberrie crumble. After dinner I was the speaker. I talked about how mom and dad came from rags to riches. There first house was a chicken coop. Now they live comfortable in a bungalow. Mom even had a speach prepared. I couldn't believe it because she is so shy. She spoke wonderfully and with so much meaning. They didn't have much of a wedding. Dad was working across the country so there wasn't anybody at their wedding. That is why this means so much to them. I talked about the recent challenges that they faced together. I don't think that there was a dry eye in the room. Mom and Dad's first walz was to I will walz accross Texas with you. It was a great party because we knew everyone. I had a couple felatives come up to me and say I looked like a movie star or a princess. How sweet. We had the famous "Party After" on sunday. We had 57 people for dinner at mom and dad's house. Food, food, food. It was a wonderful celebration.

I will try to post a few pictures in the next week.

gdeann 06-08-2004 01:01 PM

Thank you girls for the well wishes. I feel selfish sharing my feelings here on the board when we have so many here suffering through the loss of a loved one or trying to deal with an illness of a family member. I just feel really down and I'm not sure what to do. I know most of the reasons behind my feelings and I guess I just need to find a way to work through them. I am having doubts if I should even be doing Hospice work, I'm feeling that maybe I'm not competent enough to handle what is asked of me. I'm having doubts in my faith also, I'm finding it very hard to understand why so many good people have bad things happen to them while some people who are on a self-destructive path, seem to live on for years. I try to live life by helping others as I would like to be treated and trying to be a good person, with set morals and values, then sometimes I wonder why? Nancy has made no major decisions with Hospice at this point, but it looks like I will be staying with her a few afternoons a week as a friend. She called me yesterday and asked if I would be willing. Within a one month period, her illness has became very aggressive and her health is declining daily. It's very hard for me to deal with seeing her the way she is now, she has always been such a strong willed person and has never asked for help before. It is so much easier dealing with a stranger as a Hospice volunteer compared to a friend. With a stranger, through training, I know the proper things to say and the proper actions to take. With Nancy, it is so difficult, I can't treat her as just another client, there is too many years of history behind us. Please pray for me girls, to give me the strength to do what I need to do for Nancy and her family and to know my limits as a friend. As a volunteer, I know all of the stages of acceptance for family and friends of the patient, I hope I can work through the steps I am currently experiencing myself and lay them to the side to help the family in anyway I can. Thank you so much for letting me vent, I guess I'm just feeling kinda overwhelmed right now with Nancy's illness and all of the other happenings in my life.
My classes have slowed down with Summer here. Most people are caught up in family vacations, weddings, graduations, etc. I had really hoped by the time Allison was in school, I could be setup with a regular schedule of classes that I could count on as an income, but it isn't looking that way. I run an ad in a local once a month paper and the past two months, I have had no response! It just seems like what is going over in other areas of the country, just never makes it here. I really hoped I could use my painting as a job and do something I love to do, but I guess that is not the case. I'm sorry to be such a "downer" today, I guess I better work on my attitude.

Shelley, enjoy your painting vacation! If I lived closer, I'd paint a wall for you in a heartbeat!

Ramona, good luck with the sale! I hope you make enough money to treat yourself to a vacation, you guys deserve it! Dan is in my daily prayers, I'm so happy you finally heard from him!

Vickster, how is your mom doing? Is the family situation any better?

Gayle-I can only imagine how hard it must be to have to deal with a friend going through something that you have seen so many times before with strangers. It must be incredibly hard, but I know that you will be able to deal with it, because you are a very strong person. As far as your lessons go, remember it is summer and with any business other than vacation related things it is slow in the months between May and September. Have you tried maybe a direct mail type thing? Maybe you could get a mailing list from your church. I know a mailing list is put out in our town of all the members of the Jewish Federation here. Maybe you could buy a mailing list by doing a search on the Net of your area. You could do a letter with your own paintings printed on it. I'm sure you would get tons of interest! Maybe you have already thought of this, but I think it would be a good cheap way of going after business without the expense of advertising in papers. Just a thought! Keep your chin up. It sometimes takes years for businesses to start up. Also, have you thought about doing murals for homes? That seems to be an up and coming thing also. I wish I could come and give you a big hug!!
