Here is what I've been watching all morning......been helping clean up afterwards.
The photos are of the second tree being downed. Had neighbors eyeballing us the whole time. How fun!
I hate to see a tree go down, especially since I don't have any! Okay, I do have some but it will be years before they get big, many years. Looks like you guys are going to be busy for a while Miss Marti. Are you guys going to cut down all the trees, or was that it?
I need to get my butt in gear and post some recent photos. Hmmm, maybe I will do that tomorrow.

Marti, what are you going to do with all those downed trees? Do you have a firepit? you could cut them into stumps for around a campfire,,,,and some left over for the fire....and the smell...mmmmm

I know - it's only the first day, but this is a taste of what we do all summer. DH plays in the One More Time Around Again Marching Band and here's a picture of him at this years Grand Floral Parade in Portland, OR
For the rest of the year he plays in an offshoot band called "Get a Life" ( motto: We would rather miss a note than miss a meal)
So we spend some weekends in the summer following him around to the various neighborhood parades.......
Here's what I notice....when you feel like you're losing a little weight and your starting to feel good about yourself...then you see a photo!! What's up with that? I think photos can ruin my motivation sometimes!! I guess I just won't have a picture taken when I'm sitting down and you can see my trouble spots. Plus....my face is looking a little round!
(ok...enough dissing myself) enjoy the photos.

Marti~I really want to see those photo's now. Isn't it funny how we are always so hard on ourselves? I am totally the opposite, I need those bad photo's to get me motivated. I plan on getting some instant film and taking some photo's of me to post on my bathroom mirror to remind me that I don't want to look like this anymore, and to not to quit. BBL
Good ol' Enchanted Forest! My son said his favorite part was the crooked house. He wants to go this summer, so when we do I'll take pictures, too. You look great, Marti - I can relate to not wanting to see pictures - I just look so different from how I feel! Pictures are a splash of reality ...but also a tremendous motivator
Jana - thanks - I think he's pretty cute, too! The One More time...band is the largest marching band in the country - at least 500 people. The Get a Life one is only 40-50,and maybe 20-30 show up at any given parade. He went to a rehearsal ysterday and found out that many of the parades are days when we are out of town. So, don't know if we'll do as many parades this year.....
Waaaaah! I wanna go to the Enchanted Forest!! For real!! OMG, Marti, that place is just too cool! And you look good, Marti! I don't think you look your age at all. Love all the photos!

I so would love to go there! There is an Enchanted Forest in BC or there was one years ago...but it wasn't as cool as yours with the villiage and all.
The crooked house is a great way to mess with someones head,,,you should of seen how close I was to the computer looking at their feet...lol
